Video footage from June 16 concert in Edmonton shows Meat Loaf, whose real name is Marvin Lee Aday, falling on stage during his performance.
Edmonton police said they had responded to a medical call, CBC reported.

Fans said they initially believed Meat Loaf’s collapse could have been a planned part of his performance, the Edmonton Journal newspaper reported.
The Northern Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton was cleared shortly after Meat Loaf collapsed and ambulances were seen outside the venue, the newspaper said.
The singer canceled shows in Moose Jaw and Calgary earlier in the week because of illness, CBC said.
Meat Loaf’s album Bat Out of Hell sold more than 43 million copies worldwide and continues to sell an estimated 200,000 copies annually nearly 40 years after it was released.
Egyptian investigators have recovered the cockpit voice recorder from the EgyptAir plane that crashed on May 19 into the Mediterranean Sea.
The MS804 “black box” was damaged and had to be pulled out in several stages but its memory unit was intact, they said.
A search vessel with an underwater robot has been scouring the crash site and has sent back images of wreckage.
Flight MS804 from Paris to Cairo crashed on May 19, killing all 66 people on board.
It is not clear yet what caused the aircraft to go down.
In a statement, investigators said: “The vessel’s equipment was able to salvage the part [of the recorder] that contains the memory unit, which is considered the most important part of the recording device.”

Airbus previously said that finding the black boxes was crucial to understanding what happened when radar lost track of MS804.
Electronic messages sent by the plane revealed that smoke detectors went off in the toilet and the aircraft’s electrics, minutes before the radar signal was lost.
A terror attack has not been ruled out but no extremist group has claimed to have downed the plane.
Analysts say human or technical error is also a possibility.
The crew on board do not appear to have sent a distress call.
The cockpit voice recorder should allow investigators to hear what the pilot and co-pilot were saying to each other, plus any alarms in the background.
If the flight data recorder is recovered, it should show what the plane’s computers were recording at the time.
Experts have warned that signals emitted by the data recorder are expected to expire by June 24.
The area in which flight MS804 crashed is one of the deepest in the Mediterranean – more than 10,000ft deep in some parts.
Days after the search began, debris and body parts were found to the east of the plane’s last known location. Egypt’s military released images of debris including a lifejacket, pieces of fabric and metal fragments.
On June 15, Egyptian investigators said the deep sea search vessel John Lethbridge had found wreckage of the fuselage of the plane in “several main locations” and had taken the first images of it.
A map of the distribution of the wreckage is being drawn up so a recovery operation can begin.

France has expelled far-right leader of the Russian soccer supporters’ association Alexander Shprygin following violence at the England-Russia Euro 2016 match in Marseille.
Alexander Shprygin is among 20 Russian fans being deported.
They were detained on June 14 while traveling from Marseille to Lille to watch Russia vs. Slovakia.
Three other detained Russian fans have been jailed for up to two years over the violence in Marseille.
They are also banned from re-entering France for two years. The men received 12, 18 and 24 months in prison.
The arrests have angered Moscow, which summoned the French ambassador to protest.
A Russian foreign ministry statement warned against “further stoking of anti-Russian sentiments”.
Deputy foreign minister Arkady Dvorkovich was quoted by the Tass news agency as saying blacklists of troublemakers would be drawn up before the 2018 World Cup, which Russia is hosting.
Arkady Dvorkovich said those accused of violence in France may yet face trial in Russia.
“We need to figure out who did what,” he said.
Alexander Shprygin’s All-Russia Supporters Union is backed by the Kremlin. He is reported to hold far-right views and has been photographed giving a Nazi salute.
A statement from the union said Alexander Shprygin and the other 19 fans had been transferred to a deportation centre from which they will be expelled in the next five days.
It said the French authorities were taking the measures for “security reasons”.
Russia and England fans clashed before and after the two teams played on Saturday.
French police blamed 150 “well-trained” Russian hooligans for the violence.

The body of a young boy seized by an alligator at Walt Disney World in Florida has been recovered.
Divers found a body “intact” that they believe to be the two-year-old, who was dragged into the water on June 14 in front of his family.
Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings said the missing boy’s name was Lane Graves from Nebraska.
After the attack, five alligators were seized and killed in an attempt to find Lane Graves’ remains.
The body found in the water has yet to be formally identified but police are confident it is Lane Graves’.
On June 15, police said there was “no question” the boy was dead.
Some 50 people were using sonar equipment to search a system of lakes and ponds linked by canals to the Seven Seas Lagoon where the boy was attacked while wading in shallow water.
Lane Graves’ family was relaxing near the shore of the lagoon when the incident happened.
There is a “no swimming” sign on the man-made lagoon but although the boy was on the edge of the water, there was no indication he was swimming.
Lane Graves’ father sustained minor lacerations to his arm in the attempt to retrieve his child.
No signs around the lagoon warn visitors about the presence of alligators, a situation which a Disney spokesperson told Reuters news agency would be reviewed.

Led Zeppelin’s guitarist Jimmy Page and singer Robert Plant have appeared in court to deny borrowing from another song for their 1971 hit Stairway To Heaven.
Jimmy Page, 72, and Robert Plant, 67, are expected to give evidence at the civil case in Los Angeles.
Led zeppelin is accused of lifting the song’s opening notes from Taurus, a 1967 track by the band Spirit.
Jimmy Page and Robert Plant are being sued by a trust acting for a founding member of Spirit who died in 1997.
The case began with the jury being played various performances of both songs, including part of Led Zeppelin’s recording of Stairway to Heaven.
In his opening statement, the plaintiff’s lawyer, Francis Malofiy, said the case could be summed up in six words, “give credit where credit is due”.
Jimmy Page and Robert Plant were both “incredible performers, incredible musicians but they covered other people’s music and tried to make it their own,” he alleged.
Led Zeppelin’s lawyer Robert Anderson insisted that Jimmy Page and Robert Plant “created Stairway to Heaven independently without resort to Taurus or without copying anything in Taurus”.
There was no proof that they had even heard Taurus until decades after creating Stairway to Heaven, said Robert Anderson.
Robert Anderson also claimed that the part of the song at issue – a sequence of notes in the opening bars – was a “descending chromatic line…something that appears in all kinds of songs”.

Noor Zahi Salman, wife of Orlando gunman Omar Mateen, who killed 49 people at a gay nightclub, could face charges in connection with the attack, according to reports.
Prosecutors have convened a grand jury to investigate Noor Salman, sources quoted by Fox News and Reuters say.
Noor Salman is reported to have told police she tried to talk her husband out of attacking the Pulse nightclub.
Orlando attack was the worst mass shooting in recent US history.
Fifty-three people were wounded and six remain in a critical condition.
Prosecutors quoted by Fox News said they were seeking to charge Noor Salman as an accessory to 49 counts of murder and 53 counts of attempted murder, as well as with failure to warn authorities about the impending attack.
It was possible that Omar Mateen had called his wife from inside the club while the killings were taking place, Fox quoted a source as saying.
Although Noor Salman has been questioned since the attack on June 12, she has not been arrested.
Senator Angus King, a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee which received a briefing on the investigation, told CNN that “it appears she had some knowledge of what was going on”.
He said: “She definitely is, I guess you would say, a person of interest right now and appears to be co-operating and can provide us with some important information.”
On June 14, media reported that Noor Salman had gone with Omar Mateen to buy ammunition and had also driven him to the Pulse nightclub on a previous occasion because he had wanted to survey it.
However, Noor Salman said she had tried to talk her husband out of carrying out the attack, sources quoted by NBC News said.
Omar Mateen’s father, Seddique Mateen, said on June 14 that Noor Salman – his son’s second wife – had returned to the couple’s flat on June 13 to pick up some clothes. He said she and the couple’s young son were still in Florida but declined to say where.
Omar Mateen, 29, who was killed when police stormed the club, pledged allegiance to ISIS during the attack, authorities say.
The FBI is investigating reports that Omar Mateen made several visits to the Pulse nightclub and made contact with other men on gay dating apps.
On June 14, President Barack Obama said Mateen appeared to have been “an angry, disturbed, unstable young man who became radicalized”.
The president also attacked a proposed ban on Muslims traveling to America from Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump as “not the America we want”.

Malaysia has banned the first Islamic-compliant airline, Rayani Air, for breaching regulations.
The country’s Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) said it was revoking Rayani Air’s certification because of concerns over its safety audit and administration.
Launched in December 2015, Rayani Air offers only halal food, no alcohol and crew wearing modest clothing.
The airline has two Boeing 737-400 planes in its fleet, each able to carry about 180 passengers, eight pilots and 50 crew.
The DCA said on June 13 that Rayani Air could no longer operate as a commercial airline.

It follows a three month suspension after Rayani Air failed to follow flight regulations. A safety audit was later conducted to assess its operations.
Malaysia’s aviation commission said in a statement that Rayani Air “had breached the conditions of its Air Service Licence [ASL] and lacks the financial and management capacity to continue operating as a commercial airline”.
The DCA said it had conducted a “thorough deliberation” on Rayani Air’s response to the safety audit.
In the lead up to its suspension, Rayani Air had faced criticism including complaints about cancelled flights as pilots went on strike.
Based on the island of Langkawi, Rayani Air had been flying to the capital, Kuala Lumpur, and the northern city of Kota Bahru.
Rayani Air had plans to fly to more Malaysian cities and eventually schedule flights to Mecca for the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages, reports said.

A secret congressional report into the 9/11 attacks will clear Saudi Arabia of any responsibility if it will be published, CIA chief John Brennan has said.
Keeping 28 pages of the report secret has sparked speculation that the attack had received official Saudi support.
The documents are also central to a dispute over whether the families of 9/11 victims should be able to sue the Saudi government.
However, Saudi Arabia denies any involvement.
Fifteen out of the 19 hijackers in the 9/11 attacks were Saudi citizens.

Former senator Bob Graham, who headed the Senate intelligence committee that compiled the classified report in 2002, has said that Saudi officials did provide assistance to the 9/11 hijackers.
However, John Brennan said this was not the case.
In an interview with Saudi-owned Arabiya TV, he said: “So these 28 pages I believe are going to come out and I think it’s good that they come out. People shouldn’t take them as evidence of Saudi complicity in the attacks.”
John Brennan also described the 28-page section of the 2002 report as merely a “preliminary review”.
“The 9/11 commission looked very thoroughly at these allegations of Saudi involvement… their conclusion was that there was no evidence to indicate that the Saudi government as an institution or senior Saudi officials individually had supported the 9/11 attacks,” he said.
Last month, a bill to allow Americans to sue Saudi Arabia over the attacks, in which nearly 3,000 people died, was passed by the Senate and now moves to the House of Representatives.
Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister has warned that the move could cause his government to withdraw US investments.
Bob Graham has said that the White House would decide whether to release the classified pages this month.
Fifty people have been killed in a shooting in a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, the city’s mayor Buddy Dyer has said.
Omar Mateen, who was named as the attacker by officials, was killed after taking hostages at the Pulse club.
President Barack Obama said Americans were united in grief, outrage and “resolve to defend our people” after “an act of terror and an act of hate”.
The Orlando attack is the worst mass shooting in recent US history.
A nationwide moment of silence will be held at 18:00 local time.
According to officials, the killings were likely to be ideologically motivated, though there was no information that the gunman was associated with a particular group.
However, Congressman Alan Grayson said it was “no coincidence” the attack happened in a gay club.
“It may be we’ve seen the commission of an awful hate crime,” he added.
Omar Mateen’s father Mir Seddique told NBC News that the incident had nothing to do with religion, and may have been triggered by the sight of a gay couple kissing in Miami.
However, NBC News reported that Omar Mateen called the emergency services before the attack and swore allegiance to ISIS.
The group later said – via its affiliated Amaq news agency – that an ISIS “fighter” had carried out the attack.
The claim did not specify whether ISIS was directly involved or simply taking credit for inspiring the attack.
President Obama described the attack as “the brutal murder of dozens of innocent people”.
“It was an act of terror and an act of hate,” the president said, adding that it was a heartbreaking day for the LGBT community.
An attack on any American was an attack on all, Barack Obama added.
“We are united in grief, in outrage and resolve to defend our people.”
Barack Obama has ordered flags on federal buildings to be flown at half mast until sunset on June 16.
The suspect, who was a US citizen from the Florida town of Port St Lucie and was of Afghan descent, was not on a terrorism watch list.
However, officials revealed that the FBI had twice interviewed Omar Mateen in 2013-2014 after he made “inflammatory remarks” to a colleague. But the investigation was closed.
The death toll of 50 given by Mayor Buddy Dyer means that the Orlando attack surpasses the 2007 massacre at Virginia Tech which left 32 people dead.
Another 53 people were injured in the shooting.
Security has also been boosted for the last day of the Capital Pride LGBT festival in Washington DC, which included a moment of silence for the Orlando victims at 13:00 local time, the Washington Post reported.

“If they meet the requirements, the recall referendum will take place next year, full stop” said Nicolas Maduro at a rally in Caracas.
“If they don’t meet the requirements, there will be no recall referendum, full stop.”
Timing is essential for both sides. If the referendum is held by January 10, 2017, and President Nicolas Maduro loses, a new election will be called.
If it is held after January 10, 2017, and the vote goes against Nicolas Maduro, his vice-president takes over and remains in power until the end of the presidential term, in January 2019.
The opposition handed over the petition on May 2.
It said it had gathered the signatures of 1.85 million voters backing a recall referendum, many more than the 197,000 needed at this initial stage. The CNE said on June 10 there were 1.97 million signatures on the list.
The voters whose signatures have not been struck off by the CNE – more than 1.3 million people – will need to turn up at regional electoral offices to confirm their identities later this month.
They will have five days from June 20 to have their signatures checked, CNE President Tibisay Lucena announced on June 10.
Henrique Capriles urged voters to get ready to comply with the CNE demand and go to government offices to have their identities checked later this month.

John Mina said Kevin James Loibl did not seem to know her personally but speculated that he may have been a deranged fan.

The police chief praised Christina Grimmie’s brother Marcus for his “very heroic” actions in tackling the gunman, who he said was carrying two handguns and a hunting knife.

Other people have been issuing messages of support for Marcus Grimmie, including a survivor of the 2012 Sandy Hook elementary school shooting in Connecticut.
Ashley Cech, who campaigns against gun violence, wrote an open letter to Marcus Grimmie.
She wrote: “Today the world was reminded that there is no love quite like that between an older brother and his little sister.”
Christina Grimmie had been performing with the band Before You Exit.
Up to 100 people were at the concert, but only a handful remained at the venue when the shooting happened, officials said.
John Mina said unarmed security guards had checked bags as people entered the venue, but no metal detectors were used and no body searches were made.
News of the attack spread quickly on social media, with many fans voicing their shock and anger.
When the first reports of the shooting surfaced, #PrayForChristina was the top trending hashtag on Twitter.
The hashtag changed to #RIPChristina after Christina Grimmie’s death was confirmed.
