George Soros, 82, and his 41-year-old girlfriend have reportedly printed about 1,000 invitations for the “extremely color-coordinated” celebrations but have only sent out “several hundred” to family and friends.
Guests will be treated to several events in different locations, but won’t have to splash out on a gift for the couple, who got engaged last August.
The Daily News reports George Soros and Tamiko Bolton will only use vendors in and around New York City, where the wedding will be held.
“All the food will be farm-to-table and the flowers will be in-season flowers. They will not be shipped in from elsewhere,” a source told the Daily News.
And the celebrations are expected to have a strict color theme.
Tamiko Bolton’s wedding planner was spied meeting with assistants at the Openhouse Gallery on Mulberry St. two weeks ago, and watched models trying on different caterer clothing.
“It was a full-on runway show for the planner to decide on outfits for the staff to wear,” the insider said.

George Soros and Tamiko Bolton, who met in the spring of 2008 and formally announced their engagement at a party at Soros’ summer mansion in Southampton last year, reportedly sent out only several hundred of the 1,000 invitations printed for their big day.
“The wedding will be attended by friends, family and colleagues from around the world, including George’s five children and the bride’s entire family,” the source told the Daily News.
“They will all come to New York and then other events, like the reception and a brunch, will be held at different locations around the city.”
Despite being treated to the best money can buy, the lucky guests won’t have to give the wealthy newlyweds a gift.
Instead guests have been asked to donate to either the National Dance Institute, the Harlem Children’s Zone, the Planned Parenthood Federation of America and the human rights group Global Witness.
This will be George Soros’s third marriage and the second for Tamiko Bolton, who was married briefly before.
George Soros has five children from his marriages to Annaliese Witschak, whom he split with in 1983, and Susan Weber Soros, who he divorced in 2005.
He rose to fame and fortune two decades ago on a now-historic trade, in which he took on the Bank of England and shrewdly wagered on a devaluation of the pound.
In 2011, George Soros, an active contributor to politically liberal causes, converted his hedge fund into a family office and stopped managing money for outside investors.
Tamiko Bolton, who once started an Internet-based dietary supplement business and is now running a web-based yoga education business, has a masters degree in business from the University of Miami.
Princess Madeleine of Sweden, the fourth in line to the throne, is set to marry US-British businessman Christopher O’Neill in a ceremony in Stockholm on Saturday.

The couple will tie the knot in Stockholm’s Royal Chapel before a horse and carriage procession through the medieval old town of Gamla Stan.
Despite some 600 guests, the wedding is expected to be more low-key than her sister’s ceremony in 2010, when the whole of the Swedish capital was transformed for the celebrations.
“It won’t be anything like [Crown Princess] Victoria’s wedding. Firstly, because Madeleine is not a successor to the throne,” Roger Lundgren, the editor of a Swedish magazine about royalty told Associated Press news agency.
“Secondly, this is a private wedding – the king is paying for it himself,” he adds.
The royal guest list is said to include the UK’s Earl and Countess of Wessex, Prince Edward and Sophie, Princess Takamado of Japan and princes and princesses from Norway, Denmark, Greece, Luxembourg and Monaco.
The Royal Court said on Friday that Princess Madeleine’s wedding dress was made by Italian designer Valentino Garavani.
Her fiancé, who enjoys dual British-American citizenship, has declined a royal rank in Sweden which would have required him to become a Swedish citizen.
Princess Madeleine and Christopher O’Neill are expected to return to the US and continue working after the wedding.

Facebook founding president Sean Parker married singer-songwriter Alexandra Lenas in a lavish ceremony in California.
Photographed in the story-book forest surroundings of Big Sur, California, the $10 million wedding took place in front of 300 friends and family members and the theme has been compared by many to the HBO show, Game of Thrones.
The Internet entrepreneur, who is estimated to be worth $2 billion, is now officially hitched to the mother of his young daughter after his wedding at the swanky Ventana Inn & Spa.
The ceremony and reception featured opulent decorations including a ruin, a waterfall and long feast style tables.
“Forget what you heard about Sean Parker’s wedding,” friend John Perry Barlow tweeted following the ceremony.
“It [was] elegant, tasteful, and magical.”
They “have just been enormously generous to their friends. We are all very grateful”, he wrote.
Alexandra Lenas, 24, wore a dress that appears similar to Daenerys Targaryen from the Game of Thrones.
Sean Parker, 33, is believed to have shelled out $10 million to turn a boutique hotel into what looks like a movie set, equipped with outfits for guests designed by the costume designer for the Lord of the Rings movies.
One source told the New York Post that guests “entered down a long trail and came to a big gate and entered this other world in a forest there … They made the forest come alive”.
The ceremony was officiated by Unitarian Universalist minister John A. Buehrens.

Sean Parker hired a landscaping company to build fake ruins, waterfalls, man made ponds, bridges and a gated cottage in the surrounding woods at the hotel, sources told TMZ in April.
The venue included two terraces that are used for weddings, that offer “privacy and an uninterrupted 50-mile view of the Big Sur coastline to the south”, according to its website.
The Inn boasts its design is mean to “complement nature and encourage guests to experience the essence of romance”.
Residents in the California community have been less than thrilled with the attention Parker’s spectacle has attracted.
The California Coastal Commission reportedly was called in to investigate whether the inn had procured the proper permits for the wedding-related construction, the San Jose Mercury News reported.
“We’re pretty used to celebrities being in Big Sur. But for this one, they’ve basically built a movie set to have their wedding,” Stan Russell, head of the city’s chamber of commerce, told the paper.
Stan Russell said the construction will go away after the Saturday bash and expects the attention the town receives could actually help the wedding industry in the city.
“The wedding planners in Big Sur are planning ahead for 2014 already, because they’re booked. People want to come and see what all of the excitement’s about,” Stan Russell said.
Guests were expected to enter through a $600,000 gate, dance on a $350,000 floor and walk past more than $1 million worth of plants and flowers, the gossip website site.
The New York Post reported that the save-the-date cards for the June 1 wedding look like wizard scrolls.
“There is a chance the wedding could end up looking like an episode of Game of Thrones,” an insider told the Post.
Game of Thrones is a popular Medieval fantasy TV show on HBO that features knights and dragons and sorcery.
