Prince William and Kate Middleton will spend the next few days at Kensington Palace before they are expected to travel to their country home Anmer Hall on the Queen’s Sandringham estate in Norfolk.
Bookmakers have said Charlotte and Alice have emerged as the favorite names for the princess, followed by Olivia, Victoria and Elizabeth.
A spokeswoman for Ladbrokes said: “We’ve never known a day of royal speculation like it. Charlotte is the new favorite, but Olivia is the name on the nation’s lips.”
Floyd Mayweather maintains his unbeaten record and wins the richest fight in boxing history after beating Manny Pacquiao via a wide unanimous decision in Las Vegas.
Floyd Mayweather, 38, delivered a defensive master class against his Philippine rival, making the necessary adjustments after only a few rounds before disappearing out of sight.
The American, who added the WBO welterweight title to the WBC and WBA titles he already owned, was awarded the fight 118-110, 116-112 and 116-112 by the three judges.
With his victory, Floyd Mayweather also cemented his status as the greatest pound-for-pound boxer of his generation.
The five-weight world champion is now undefeated in 48 professional fights, stretching back 19 years.
Six-weight world champion Manny Pacquiao, 36, falls to 57 wins, six losses and two draws.
Tickets for the bout – billed as “The Fight of the Century” – changed hands for as much as $350,000 and American fans were charged almost $100 to watch on television.
Rival broadcasters Showtime and HBO joined forces for the first time since Lennox Lewis fought Mike Tyson in 2002 to show the fight, with Jimmy Lennon Jr. and Michael Buffer sharing ring announcer duties.
A-listers in the 16,507 crowd included Clint Eastwood, Robert De Niro, Sting, Prince and Donald Trump.
Multi Grammy Award winner Jamie Foxx sang the American national anthem prior to the fighters entering the ring. So prized was a seat that many celebrities were even sat behind the press row.
Manny Pacquiao began his ring walk at 20:45 Vegas time – to the strains of a song he recorded especially for the occasion – and was awarded a rapturous reception. Floyd Mayweather, on the other hand, was roundly booed, despite being effectively the house fighter.
The opening round was extremely cagey, with both men trying to establish their distance, but Floyd Mayweather did land with a couple of eye-catching right hands on the counter.
Not only did Floyd Mayweather look noticeably bigger than Manny Pacquiao, he also looked quicker in the early rounds.
When Pacquiao did get close, Mayweather was content to tie him up, to both Pacquiao and the fans’ frustration.
While many observers who paid to watch would have been disappointed with the action, the fact that Floyd Mayweather won so handily was more proof of his unparalleled genius.
Manny Pacquiao’s pride will no doubt be salved when he next checks his bank account – it is estimated the fight will generate $400 million in total, with Floyd Mayweather and Pacquiao set to split in the region of $230 million.
Afterwards Floyd Mayweather confirmed he would fight one more time in September before retiring, although the opportunity to surpass Rocky Marciano’s mark of 49 fights undefeated might prove too tempting to pass up.

Kate Middleton and Prince William have presented their newborn daughter to the world as they left St Mary’s Hospital in London.
The princess is the couple’s second baby and the fourth in line to the British throne.
The baby girl was “safely delivered” at 08:34 BST, the Kensington Palace statement said.
Kate Middleton, Prince William and their daughter have left the hospital on the same day the Duchess gave birth to the princess.
The couple will travel home to Kensington Palace, where their firs born, Prince George, wait for his sister.
In a statement, the Kensington Palace said: “Their Royal Highnesses would like to thank all staff at the hospital for the care and treatment they have all received.
“They would also like to thank everyone for their warm wishes.”
Kate Middleton has given birth to a girl at St Mary’s Hospital in London on May 2nd.
The name of the baby will be announced in due course, the Kensington Palace said.
There has been much speculation about the princess’s name, with Alice being the favorite with several bookmakers. Charlotte, Elizabeth and Diana have also been popular with punters.
Prince George’s name was announced two days after his birth, which is a relatively quick turnaround compared with previous royal babies.
Prince William’s name was announced after 7 days in 1982, and there was a wait of a month following Prince Charles’s birth in 1948.
The new royal will not be overtaken in the line of succession by any future younger brothers.
Under new rules which came into force in March, male bias was removed from the succession rules.
She will also be known as the Princess of Cambridge after a Letter Patent was issued by Queen Elizabeth II.
It declared: “All the children of the eldest son of the Prince of Wales should have and enjoy the style, title and attribute of royal highness with the titular dignity of prince or princess prefixed to their Christian names or with such other titles of honor”.
The princess will also be able to marry a Roman Catholic without losing her place in line to the throne.
Prince George has visited his newborn sister at St Mary’s Hospital, in London.
Prince William, who was present for the birth of the 8lbs 3oz (3.7kg) baby girl, brought his 21-month-old son to the hospital.
The Duke of Cambridge told the waiting crowds the couple were “very happy”.
It is the first time Prince George has been officially seen in public in the UK since he left the same hospital as a newborn in 2013.
Kate Middleton has given birth to a girl at 08:34 BST, Kensington Palace has announced.
The newborn princess is fourth in line to the throne.
Both Kate Middleton and her daughter are “doing well”, Kensington Palace said.
The name of the baby will be announced in due course.
Prince Charles, who had earlier said he was hoping for a granddaughter, and his wife Camilla said they were “absolutely delighted”.
Kate Middleton had been admitted to the private Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, west London, at 06:00 BST.
The birth announcement came just after 11:00 BST.
The statement from Kensington Palace added: “The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news.”
The newborn princess joins the line of succession behind her grandfather Prince Charles, father Prince William and brother Prince George, who was born at the same hospital in July 2013.
The princess is Queen Elizabeth II’s fifth great-grandchild.
Hundreds of well wishers have gathered outside St Mary’s Hospital to catch a first glimpse of the new princess.
There has been lots of speculation about a name from small girls in the crowd, from Disney-inspired Belle and Ariel to Alex, Stella and Rose.
A large number of journalists, photographers and broadcasters had gathered after the announcement that Kate Middleton was in labor.
Following the announcement of the birth, standing on the steps of the Lindo Wing, unofficial town crier Tony Appleton told crowds: “We welcome with humble duty the new baby of their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Reality star Bruce Jenner is being sued by Kim Howe’s stepchildren.
Kim Howe was killed in a car crash Bruce Jenner was involved in few months ago.
Bruce Jenner’s Cadillac collided with Kim Howe’s Lexus in February, pushing it into oncoming traffic, authorities say.
The six-page lawsuit doesn’t give any new details, but seeks damages for “wrongful death”.
No charges have been brought against Bruce Jenner, 65, and he hasn’t commented.
Dana Redmond and William Howe argue Bruce Jenner was “negligent” or “otherwise responsible” for the collision and claim the family has suffered enormous damages.
Four cars were involved in the crash on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, Los Angeles.
Five other people were injured. Bruce Jenner wasn’t hurt.
An investigation into what happened is still going on.
The lawsuit comes days after Bruce Jenner said in a TV interview with Diane Sawyer that he identifies as a woman and has felt gender confusion since childhood.
However, a publicist has said Bruce Jenner still prefers to be referred to with male pronouns.

Baltimore state prosecutor Marilyn J. Mosby said on May 1st that Freddie Gray’s death was a homicide and his arrest had been illegal.
Freddie Gray, a 25-year-old black man, died in police custody on April 19.
Marilyn Mosby has also announced she filed criminal charges against six Baltimore police officers.
Meanwhile, a lawyer for the Baltimore police officers says they “did nothing wrong”.
Lawyer Michael Davey said the officers “at all times acted reasonably and in accordance with their training”.
Freddie Gray’s death sparked violent protests in Baltimore.
Six officers are charged in Freddie Gray’s death from injuries he suffered while in police custody.
State Attorney Marilyn Mosby says the officers repeatedly failed to get Freddie Gray medical treatment after his arrest.
The police officers’ union has said they are not responsible for Freddie Gray’s death.
Officer Caesar Goodson: Was the driver of the van that transported Freddie Gray, and he faces the most serious charges. He repeatedly failed — at least five times — to seatbelt Freddie Gray in the transport vehicle. He faces 2nd-degree depraved heart murder, involuntary manslaughter, 2nd degree negligent assault, manslaughter by vehicle by means of gross negligence, manslaughter by vehicle by means of criminal negligence, misconduct in office for failure to secure prisoner and failure to render aid. All charges carry a potential 30-year sentence.
Caesar Goodson, 45, has been on the force since 1999, and like two others charged in Freddie Gray’s death is black.
Officer William G. Porter: Faces charges of involuntary manslaughter, assault in the 2nd degree, misconduct in office. At one point during the van ride, Caesar Goodson requested help checking on Freddie Gray. William Porter, 25, who joined the force in 2012, responded. Both he and Caesar Goodson checked on Freddie Gray. William Porter, who is black, helped Freddie Gray from the floor to a bench in the van, but neither Goodson nor Porter requested medical attention or put a seatbelt on Gray.
Lieutenant Brian W. Rice: Faces charges of involuntary manslaughter, assault in the 2nd degree, assault in the 2nd degree [second of two similar charges], misconduct in office, false imprisonment.
Brian Rice was on bike patrol when he made eye contact with Freddie Gray on a Baltimore street April 12. Freddie Gray ran, and Brian Rice pursued him. Bike patrol officers Garrett Miller and Edward Nero joined the pursuit.
Brian Rice, 41, is the most senior officer to be charged. He joined the police force in 1997 and was promoted to lieutenant in 2011, police said.
Officer Edward M. Nero: Faces charges of assault in the 2nd degree (intentional), assault in the 2nd degree (negligent), misconduct in office, false imprisonment.
Officer Garrett E. Miller: Faces charges of intentional assault in the 2nd degree, assault in the 2nd degree, negligent misconduct in office, false imprisonment.
Freddie Gray surrendered to Garrett Miller, 26, and Edward Nero, 29. Miller and Nero handcuffed Gray and put him on the ground. Gray told the officers that he couldn’t breathe and requested an inhaler. The two officers, both of whom joined the police force in 2012, sat Gray up and found a folded knife clipped to the inside of his pants pocket, a knife that is lawful under Maryland law. Previously, police have said they found a switchblade.
While Freddie Gray was being transported, Garrett Miller, Edward Nero and Brian Rice took him out of the wagon and put flex handcuffs and leg shackles on him. After that stop, they put Freddie Gray back into the van on his stomach without a seatbelt.
Sergeant Alicia D. White: Faces charges of involuntary manslaughter, 2nd degree assault, misconduct in office. She is the second-highest officer charged in the Gray case. She met the van at its stop to pick up the second person.
Alicia White, 30, was responsible for investigating two citizen complaints about Freddie Gray’s arrest. Alicia White, who is black, joined the police in 2010 and was recently made a sergeant in January 2015, police said.
B.B. King has revealed he is in hospice care at home in Las Vegas.
The blues legend posted thanks to fans on his official website on May 1st for well-wishes and prayers.
Las Vegas police Officer Jesse Roybal says an ambulance was summoned on April 30 to B.B. King’s address and a person was hospitalized following what was characterized as a dispute over medical care.
The hospitalization was the second in a month for the blues singer, who was diagnosed with diabetes decades ago.
In October, B.B. King canceled the final shows of his 2014 tour after falling ill in Chicago.
B.B. King has released more than 50 albums and sold millions of records worldwide.
Britain’s bookmakers say they have received thousands of bets on the second royal baby’s gender and possible name.
Most people seem convinced that Prince William and Kate Middleton’s newborn will be a girl, despite the lack of any solid evidence to back that up.
All the top bets for the baby’s name are for girls – Alice and Charlotte are the clear favorites, followed by Elizabeth, Victoria and Diana. All of the names have strong connections to royal tradition.
Prince Charles has also signaled that he is hoping for a granddaughter, which led some to speculate that he has some inside information.
The British monarchy has not welcomed a princess born this high up the line of succession for many years.
Princess Anne, Prince Charles’ sister, was born third in line in 1950.
Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, the daughters of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, were fifth and sixth in line at the time of their birth.
Kate Middleton has been admitted to a London hospital and is in the early stages of labor, the Kensington Palace has announced.
The Duchess of Cambridge was admitted early Saturday, May 2, to the hospital for the birth of the couple’s second child, who will be fourth in line to the throne and the fifth grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II.
Kate Middleton will give birth to the second royal baby at the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital In London—the same ward where Prince George was born on July 22, 2013.
In a brief statement, Kensington Palace officials said the Duchess of Cambridge was admitted at 6 a.m. local time Saturday at St. Mary’s Hospital. She traveled by car to the Lindo wing with Prince William.
The baby will be a younger brother or sister to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s first child, Prince George.
Royal officials are not expected to provide any more information until the birth, which will be announced on Twitter and Instagram.
That announcement will say what gender the baby is, as well as its weight and the time of birth.
Marilyn Mosby is the top state prosecutor for Baltimore that filed criminal charges against six officers in the case of Freddie Gray who died in police custody on April 19.
During a news conference on May 1st, State Attorney Marilyn Mosby said the death of the 25-year-old black man was a homicide, and his arrest was illegal.
Marilyn Mosby announced charges ranging from second-degree murder to assault.
Freddie Gray’s death – from injuries in custody – sparked violent protests in Baltimore this week.
Top state prosecutor for Baltimore Marilyn Mosby has been in office since January 2015.
Marilyn Mosby, 35, is an African-American raised in a gritty neighborhood of Boston.
Her husband, Nick Mosby, is a Baltimore Councilman.
In Boston, Marilyn Mosby’s mother, father and grandfather were all police officers. Campaigning for her job in 2014, Marilyn Mosby said she decided to be a prosecutor when she was 14, the year one of her cousins, was shot to death outside her family home.
Maryland State Attorney Marilyn Mosby has filed criminal charges against six officers in the case of Freddie Gray who died in police custody on April 19.
The state prosecutor said the death of the 25-year-old black man was a homicide, and his arrest was illegal.
Protesters cheered as Marilyn Mosby announced charges ranging from second-degree murder to assault. But a lawyer for the officers says they “did nothing wrong”.
Freddie Gray’s death – from injuries in custody – sparked protests that turned violent.
Marilyn Mosby said at a news conference: “The findings of our comprehensive, thorough, and independent investigation coupled with the medical examiner’s determination was a homicide… has led us to believe that we have probable cause to file criminal charges.”
Celebrations broke out across Baltimore after the announcement. Drivers honked their car horns as people took to the streets with fists raised in triumph.
Marilyn Mosby said Freddie Gray died as a result of injuries suffered while he was shackled inside a Baltimore police van, but not restrained by a seat belt – as he was legally required to be.
She said the officers failed to provided medical aid to Freddie Gray after he repeatedly pleaded for help.
Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings Blake said that five of the officers were in custody. The sixth later turned himself in. The officers were suspended after Freddie Gray’s death.
“No one in our city is above the law,” Stephanie Rawlings Blake said.
“Justice must apply to all of us equally.”
The driver of the van, Caesar Goodson, 45, faces the most serious charge, second-degree murder.
Caesar Goodson faces more than 30 years in prison if convicted.
The other officers face charges including involuntary manslaughter, assault and misconduct.
“To the people of Baltimore and the demonstrators across America, I heard your call for <<no justice, no peace>>. Your peace is sincerely needed, as I work to deliver justice on behalf of this young man,” Marilyn Mosby said.
Marilyn Mosby said that Freddie Gray was not carrying a switchblade as reported earlier by police, but a legal pocketknife.
The police union defended the officers and said they acted “diligently”. The union called for an independent prosecutor, something Marilyn Mosby said was not needed.
At least 1,000 EU citizens are still missing in Nepal, six days after an earthquake that killed more than 6,000 people struck the country, officials say.
Most of them are thought to have been trekking in the Everest or remote Langtang regions. Many are hoped to be alive but isolated by the quake.
The fate of thousands of Nepalese in remote communities is also unknown.
Nepal has called for more foreign help and humanitarian aid, admitting it was ill-prepared for the disaster.
The Nepalese authorities say the death toll from April 25 quake could rise to 10,000.
Nearly 14,000 people were injured in the disaster. Relief and rescue teams have reached most areas but many people remain in urgent need of humanitarian assistance.
The 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck during peak trekking season in a country popular with mountaineers. Twelve EU citizens are known to have died so far. Some of them were killed by avalanches, triggered by the quake, that struck base camp below Mount Everest.
The EU envoy to Nepal, Rensje Teerink, said the authorities did not know the whereabouts of some 1,000 other EU citizens.
“They are missing but we don’t know what their status is,” she told reporters in the capital, Kathmandu.
Another EU official, speaking to the AFP news agency on condition of anonymity, said most of the missing were likely to be found safe.
Many backpackers do not register with their embassies in Nepal, which has made it harder to trace them, Reuters reported.
Nearly 140 people have been arrested following clashes during May Day protests in Istanbul, Turkey.
Protesters threw stones and set off fireworks near Taksim Square – a traditional rallying point for left-wing protesters.
Turkish police used rubber bullets and tear gas. Twenty-four people, including six policemen, were wounded in the clashes.
Opponents of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan have accused him of repressive tactics ahead of elections in June.
The May Day rally was the first major protest since the Turkish parliament passed a controversial law giving police increased powers in March.
The law widens powers to conduct stop-and-search and detain demonstrators. Much of Istanbul’s public transport had been shut down because of security concerns.
The government had said Taksim Square would only be open to those who came peacefully, not for “illegal demonstrations”.
While Istanbul police said nearly 140 people were detained, activists said the number was nearly double that.
Taksim Square was at the centre of nationwide anti-government protests for weeks in 2013.
On May 1st, tens of thousands of people also held a peaceful march in the capital Ankara.
Ben E. King passed away of natural causes on April 30, his publicist, Phil Brown, has announced.
The R&B legend had not been publicly known to have been suffering from an illness prior to his death.
Phil Brown did not disclose any further details surrounding Ben E. King’s death.
Benjamin Earl Nelson was born in Henderson, North Carolina, on September 28, 1938.
In the same year, Ben E. King moved to New York as a child and got involved in the burgeoning doo wop scene. He became a member of the group, The Five Crowns.
In 1958, he and his fellow musicians were signed to The Drifters, scoring a string of R&B hits, including There Goes My Baby and Save The Last Dance For Me.
Two years later, Ben E. King quit the group to go solo. His first hit was the ballad Spanish Harlem in 1961.
Later that year, Ben E. King made the US top five with Stand By Me.
Stand By Me, written with Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, was named as a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll.
According to local TV station ABC7 News, Freddie Gray died from a head injury in a Baltimore police van.
Citing police sources, ABC7 News said that an injury to Freddie Gray’s head matched the shape of a bolt in the van.
Freddie Gray suffered a fatal spine injury while in police custody, sparking two weeks of protests in Baltimore which turned violent earlier this week.
His death is the latest in a series of police killings in the US which have sparked rioting and national debate.
Baltimore police have admitted that Freddie Gray was not secured in the van by a seatbelt, against department policy, and that he requested medical attention while being transported in the van but was denied.
A footage filmed by a passerby showed a visibly distressed Freddie Gray being handcuffed on the ground pushed into the back of the van. Police said he ran after seeing two officers, who chased him and arrested him when they found a switchblade-style knife in his trousers.
Freddie Gray lapsed into a coma following the journey on April 12 and died a week later.
Maryland medical examiner’s office has refused to comment on cause of death while the investigation is ongoing.
The van transporting Freddie Gray made a previously undisclosed fourth stop while en route to the police station, police revealed on April 30.
Previously, police had said the van made three stops, including one to put Freddie Gray in leg irons and another to pick up different prisoner.
The fourth stop was captured on a CCTV camera outside a Korean food shop.
The R&B and soul singer was best known for the classic song Stand By Me.
Ben E. King started his career in the late 1950s with The Drifters, singing on hits including There Goes My Baby and Save The Last Dance For Me.
After going solo, the singer hit the US top five with Stand By Me in 1961.
The songreturned to the charts in the 1980s, including a three-week spell at number one in the UK, following its use in the film of the same name and a TV advert.
Stand By Me has charted nine times on the US Billboard 100 over the years – Ben E. King’s version twice and seven times with covers by artists like John Lennon and Spyder Turner.
It was also sampled for Sean Kingston’s 2007 number one single Beautiful Girls.
Earlier this year, the US Library of Congress added the song to the National Recording Registry, declaring that “it was King’s incandescent vocal that made it a classic”.
Ben E. King’s other hits included Spanish Harlem, Amor, Don’t Play That Song (You Lied) and Supernatural Thing – Part I.
