3. Don’t Try to Do It All

You need to find what your niche is and then stick with it. You can’t just say you are a photographer or designer. People are going to want to know what it is that makes you unique or how you can solve their need or problem.

It’s important to be specific and market yourself accordingly. This is the key to success in the freelancing world.

Once you have built a good reputation in the chosen field, you can begin to branch out to other areas.

4. Make a Commitment

As a freelancer, you have to make a commitment. It’s easy to get distracted and avoid what you need to do, simply because there is no one there making sure you do it. Don’t let this happen or your efforts to be a freelancer are going to fail.
