Despacito has broken global streaming record and become the most-streamed song of all time, just six months after it was released.

The Luis Fonsi’s single has been played 4.6 billion times across all streaming services, overtaking Justin Bieber’s Sorry, which previously held the title.

Luis Fonsi, who hails from Puerto Rico and sings in Spanish, said: “What’s happened with this song is just insane.

“I don’t want to use the word accident because I was trying to write a hit, but I didn’t plan for it to cross over.

“I just wanted to make people dance.”

See You Again Overtakes Gangnam Style as YouTube’s Most-Watched Video

Luis Fonsi, 39, said the global success of his song – which has reached No 1 in more than 45 countries – gave him hope in the current political climate.

“I come from Puerto Rico and I live in Miami. We’re living in an interesting time right now when people want to divide us. They want to build walls.

“And for a song to bring people and cultures together, that’s what makes me proud.”

Despacito is a sun-bleached slice of sensual reggaeton. The title translates as “slowly”, referring to the speed of Luis Fonsi’s seduction technique.

The song hit No 1 around Latin America when it was released in January, but only caught fire in the English-speaking world after Justin Bieber heard the song in a nightclub and asked to add a verse.

Justin Bieber’s version of the song – known as Despacito (Remix) – has become a phenomenon on streaming services, most notably Spotify and Apple Music. It is already the fourth most-played video of all time on YouTube, where it is rapidly closing in on the top three, all of which are years old.

Scott Disick is dating Swedish model Lina Sandberg, multiple outlets reported.

Like Scott Disick, Lina Sandberg is no stranger to the spotlight. The model is listed as working for the prestigious Ford models agency, as well as Wilhelmina Models.

It is not known how the two initially met, but Lina Sandberg recently appeared in a music video for Diddy featuring Scott Disick’s buddy French Montana.

Lina Sandberg was reportedly born in Sweden but now resides in Los Angeles.Scott Disick and Lina Sandberg

The romance is surprising in that many people assumed that Scott Disick and his long-time partner Kourtney Kardashian would eventually get back together, and they certainly still could, but even she moved on from her boyfriend of nine years and the father of her three children.

In December 2015, it was widely reported that Kourtney Kardashian hooked up with Justin Bieber, but that it was more of a fling. That theory would go along with Justin Bieber’s Instagram account over the weekend in which he posted an image of him and Hailey Baldwin kissing.

Scott Disick was reportedly upset about Kourtney Kardashian’s fling.

On the most recent episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, filmed several months ago, Scott Disick teared up and admitted that he was unhappy and had suicidal thoughts.

Kendrick Lamar is leading the 2016 Grammy nominations with 11 nods in total.

The hip-hop star is up for album of the year for To Pimp A Butterfly.

Kendrick Lamar’s competition comes from Taylor Swift, whose pop smash 1989 is finally nominated, a year after its release.

It came out too late to be eligible for last year’s awards, a fate which has befallen Adele’s 25 this time around.

Taylor Swift ties with R&B star The Weeknd for second place, with seven nominations apiece.

Ed Sheeran is up for two of the major prizes – song of the year and record of the year – for his emotive ballad Thinking Out Loud.

The former award goes to the writers (in this case Ed Sheeran and Amy Wadge), while the record of the year category takes into account the performance and production of a hit song.

Other nominees for song of the year include The Weeknd’s breakthrough hit Can’t Feel My Face and Mark Ronson’s global smash Uptown Funk.Grammy nominations 2016

Taylor Swift is nominated for the tongue-in-cheek single Blank Space, as is Kendrick Lamar for Alright, the hope-filled centerpiece of his album.

Kendrick Lamar’s domination of the shortlist is “a testimony to his artistry,” said Neil Portnow, head of the Recording Academy.

“He’s someone that’s very serious about his art and about his craft, and has been working it for quite some time. And this is one of those instances where the work pays off.”

Kendrick Lamar’s other nominations include best rap album and best pop duo/group performance for Bad Blood – a remix of one of the tracks on Taylor Swift’s 1989.

The singer is also shortlisted twice for best rap song, including Kanye West’s All Day, which he co-wrote – along with 18 other credited performers, which could make an interesting moment on stage if West wins.

Among the most prestigious awards in music, the Grammys feature an exhaustive 83 categories in 30 genres, including the likes of best tropical Latin album and best jazz improvisation.

Outside the main categories, the late Amy Winehouse is up for her seventh Grammy thanks to Asif Kapadia’s revealing documentary on her life; while a deluxe reissue of The Rolling Stones’ Sticky Fingers is up for best box set.

Justin Bieber, who had been considered a contender for some of the main prizes, only gets one nomination, for best dance recording; while Rihanna also misses out, despite her Paul McCartney duet FourFiveSeconds being tipped as a nominee for song of the year.

The Grammy Awards ceremony will take place on February 15, 2016, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Justin Bieber has pleaded guilty on June 4 to assault and careless driving after crashing into a paparazzo’s van while out with ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez in August 2014.

The crash happened close to his father’s Canadian home in Stratford, Ontario.

Justin Bieber, now 21, crashed his ATV into a paparazzo who was taking photos of the “on-off” couple.

There was then a fight, leading to Justin Bieber’s arrest on September 1, 2014.

On June 4, Justin Bieber pleaded guilty to assault and careless driving via video link at a court in Ontario.

Justin Bieber’s plea was accepted and the singer was fined $750, avoiding prison and probation.

Selena Gomez wasn’t charged for the driving and assault, although the couple broke up shortly after the arrest.

Justin Bieber has announced he is working with Kanye West and Rick Rubin on his new album.

In an interview with USA Today this week, Justin Bieber, 21, said his new material would be more mature after a few years of making the wrong sort of headlines.

“I don’t want to say it’s different because that’s what everyone says,” the singer said.

“But it is different, it’s a grown-up version of Justin and I think people will be shocked.”

Justin Bieber said he was turning his life around, echoing comments he made at the filming of his Comedy Central Roast last month.

“My whole direction has changed,” he said.Justin Bieber works with Kanye West on new album

“What you are thinking about all the time is what you write, and now that I’m thinking about more positive things, it completely changes my music.”

Justin Bieber has worked with Kanye West before on the rapper’s track, Yeezus.

His manager Scooter Braun tweeted news that he was working with Slayer and Jay Z’s producer Rick Rubin in January.

Justin Bieber told the publication that he had to re-record some of the music on his new album because it didn’t sound right.

“[The album] was done but it didn’t match up to where I am now and where my head’s at,” he said.

“I want to tell my story, but I also want to give people hope. I lost hope for a while, I was in a dark place, but it’s about getting out of that rut.

“It’s about knowing there’s sunshine on the other side.”

In June 2014, Justin Bieber said sorry after footage of him leaked using the n-word while telling a joke about the Ku Klux Klan.

He was charged with assault and dangerous driving after crashing his quad bike into a minivan near his hometown of Stratford, Ontario.

He was also serving two years probation for throwing eggs at his neighbor’s house in LA.

Justin Bieber says the lyrics on the follow-up to 2012’s Believe are about growing up, life experience and faith.

A pair of Justin Bieber’s Nike basketball shoes has sold for more than $62,000 in an eBay auction to benefit a food bank in his hometown of Stratford, Ontario.

Justin Bieber’s grandparents, Diane and Bruce Dale, donated some of the singer’s personal items to raise money for the Stratford House of Blessing food bank.

The auction started January 31 and closed at noon on February 7.Justin Bieber shoes eBay auction

Justin Bieber’s Toronto Maple Leafs comforter sold for more than $6,000, his pillow case went for more than $3,000, and his ceiling light came in at just under $2,000.

The charity says on its website that Justin Bieber and his mother chose to donate the items “because they were helped by us in their time of need.”

Organizers say Justin Bieber autographed the items when he was in the area over the holidays, and each came with a certificate of authenticity signed by his grandmother. The winning bids aren’t finalized until confirmed by eBay.

Shortly after appearing on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Justin Bieber has apologized for the way he has behaved over the last 18 months.

In a video released online, Justin Bieber, 20, said: “How I’ve been acting in the last year, year and a half, is not who I am. I was pretending.

“Often we pretend to be something we are not to cover up for what we are truly feeling inside.”

The reason for releasing the video isn’t clear but it seems the singer may have been unhappy with his interview with Ellen DeGeneres.

During the minute-long apology recorded at home Justin Bieber explains that the live studio audience meant he felt uncomfortable.

“I was afraid of what people are thinking of me right now,” he said.

“It’s been a minute since I have made a public appearance.

“I didn’t want to come off arrogant or conceited.”

In a tweet after he left the television studio Justin Bieber wrote: “@TheEllenShow. Happy birthday! Sorry I was so nervous.”

To which Ellen DeGeneres replied: “You were perfect. Thanks for surprising me!”

Over the last 18 months Justin Bieber has made headlines for all the wrong reasons.

In June 2014, Justin Bieber issued an apology after footage of him leaked using the n-word while telling a joke about the Ku Klux Klan.

He was charged with assault and dangerous driving after crashing his quad bike into a minivan near his hometown of Stratford, Ontario.

He’s also serving two years probation for throwing eggs at his neighbor’s house in LA.

Justin Bieber’s last official release was the album, Believe, in June 2012.

He’s switching from squeaky clean teen pop star to an adult, an issue he addresses in his video.

“Growing up in this business is hard. Growing up in general is hard. I felt awkward up there,” he said.

Justin Bieber also says he’s much more at home on a stage performing than facing an audience for a television interview.

“I felt people were judging me for what happened in the past. I just want to make the best impression on people, be kind, loving and gently.

“People can call me a softie but that’s how my mum raised me.”

An assault charge against Justin Bieber stemming from an alleged 2013 attack on a limo driver in Toronto has been dropped by the Canadian prosecutors.

A driver who picked up Justin Bieber and his entourage from a nightclub in December 2013 said one of the passengers struck him.

However, a prosecutor said on September 8 the evidence could not prove the singer was the assailant.

Justin Bieber still faces separate assault charges in his native Ontario.

In August, police said Justin Bieber crashed his quad bike into a minivan in Stratford, and was arrested after allegedly getting to a fight with the other vehicle’s driver.

Ontario Provincial Police released him on a promise to appear in court on September 29 on charges of assault and dangerous driving.

His lawyer, Brian Greenspan, has said Justin Bieber’s “peaceful retreat in Stratford this weekend was unfortunately disrupted by the unwelcome presence of the paparazzi”.

“This has regrettably resulted in charges of dangerous driving and assault.”

In the December 2013 case involving the limo driver, prosecutor David Mitchell told a court the Crown had decided to withdraw the charge after a review of the evidence indicated the prosecution would be unable to confirm the assailant was Justin Bieber.

“There were a number of people in the vehicle seated behind the driver at the time of the incident and the Crown is not in a position to establish the identity of the person who came into contact with the complainant beyond a reasonable doubt based on the available evidence,” David Mitchell said, according to the Toronto Sun.

Justin Bieber has had multiple legal troubles over the past year but has avoided jail time.

Last month Justin Bieber pleaded guilty in Florida to careless driving and resisting arrest in a deal that avoided a drugged-driving conviction.

A spokesperson for the Beverly Hills Police Department says the incident could constitute a vehicle code violation, which is an infraction, adding to E! News: “We highly encourage Mr. Bieber to stay off the sidewalk and remain in traffic. This is incredibly unsafe. He’s safety in jeopardy.”

Justin Bieber, who is currently on probation for his vandalism conviction, was not pulled over, but the incident was recorded.

Photographer Aja Oxman, who claims he was assaulted by Justin Bieber’s bodyguard on a Hawaii’s Shipwreck Beach last year, is suing the pop singer for assault and negligence.

Aja Oxman sued Justin Bieber, 20, and bodyguard Dwayne Patterson on August 20 in Los Angeles.

The photographer is seeking unspecified damages for injuries and mental and emotional distress that he claims are a result of being attacked on Hawaii’s Shipwreck Beach in November.

Aja Oxman’s suit accuses Justin Bieber of ordering Dwayne Patterson to force Oxman to hand over his camera memory card.

Dwayne Patterson was arrested on suspicion of assault after confronting Aja Oxman, who shot photos of Justin Bieber jumping off a cliff.

According to court records, Dwayne Patterson pleaded no contest to harassment and criminal property damage and has paid $6,000 in restitution to Aja Oxman.

Justin Bieber pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of careless driving and resisting arrest seven months after his arrest in Miami Beach following what police initially called an illegal street drag race.

The singer’s plea deal with prosecutors, detailed at a court hearing, includes a 12-hour anger management course, a $50,000 charitable contribution and fines.

The deal allows Justin Bieber, 20, to avoid a DUI conviction.

Justin Bieber was not present at the hearing before Miami-Dade County Judge William Altfield. Defense attorney Mark Shapiro said Justin Bieber had already given the $50,000 to a local children’s charity.

The singer was arrested early January 23 in Miami Beach after what police described as an illegal street race between Justin Bieber’s rented Lamborghini and a Ferrari driven by R&B singer Khalil Amir Sharieff. Neither was charged with drag racing and there was little evidence they were even exceeding posted speed limits. Alcohol breath tests found Justin Bieber’s level below the 0.02 limit for underage drivers, but urine tests showed the presence of marijuana and the anti-anxiety drug Xanax in his system.

Justin Bieber was also charged with resisting arrest after a profanity-laced tirade against police officers, as well as driving on an expired license.

According to Us Weekly, the incident in Ibiza started when Justin Bieber made a comment about Miranda Kerr to Orlando Bloom.

Meceo McEaddy has been sentenced to between 5 and 10 years in prison for stealing millions of dollars from concert promoters and party planners by posing as a booking agent.

The 39-year-old New Yorker, who pretended to be in charge of Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Rihanna and several other celebrities, pleaded guilty to 21 counts of grand larceny and fraud, among other charges, according to Manhattan district attorney’s office.

The scam involved Meceo McEaddy and 48-year-old Sylvester Vincent Carroll, of New Jersey, promising event producers a performance by a major recording artist, pocketing large deposits and not delivering a show after being paid.

Sylvester Vincent Carroll, who also pleaded guilty, was sentenced this month to three to nine years in prison.

Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. said the two stole around $3.7 million from party planners around the world.

The scheme started in 2010 when the duo took $825,000 from a Brazilian company that believed it had booked Rihanna for concerts in Rio de Janeiro.

Justin Bieber has been sentenced to two years’ probation after pleading no contest to misdemeanor vandalism in connection with the egging of his neighbor’s home.

California’s court also ordered him to pay $80,900 in damages, serve five days of community service and complete an anger management program.

Justin Bieber, 20, was not present in court for the arraignment.

He faces two other criminal cases in Florida and Toronto.

“Justin is glad to get this matter resolved and behind him,” Justin Bieber’s representatives said in a statement after the verdict by Los Angeles Superior Court in Van Nuys.

“He will continue to move forward focusing on his career and his music.”

Investigators searched Justin Bieber’s Calabasas home in California in January for evidence after the egging apparently caused serious damage.

One of Justin Bieber’s friends was arrested on drug possession charges after that search.

The LA County Sheriff’s Office says they were looking for surveillance video tapes when they spotted the drugs “in plain view”.

Surveillance footage seized from the home appears to show Justin Bieber high-fiving friends and celebrating after throwing eggs at his neighbor’s home, police said.

The woman said Justin Bieber pulled her phone out of her bag to see if she was filming him, while he was hitting balls in a batting cage at a family entertainment centre.

She said she showed the singer her phone to prove that she wasn’t taping him.

Although the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office has declined to file a felony charge, the case has been referred to the Los Angeles city attorney’s office for consideration of a possible misdemeanor prosecution.

In the US, misdemeanors are generally viewed as less serious crimes which carry less severe punishments than felonies.

The district attorney’s report stated that the woman also said her daughter was crying but when police interviewed the girl, she said she was crying out of excitement at seeing Justin Bieber.

Justin Bieber has issued a second apology after claims he used the n-word and joked about joining the Ku Klux Klan.

The 20-year-old said he needed to “take responsibility” for his mistakes and “not let them linger”.

Justin Bieber then posted Bible verses on Instagram, which apparently ask for forgiveness.

Earlier this week Justin Bieber said sorry for another video in which he made a racist joke that he called a “childish and inexcusable mistake”.

Justin Bieber’s apology comes after The Sun published a clip where he changed the words of his hit One Less Lonely Girl to include the n-word.

Speaking to The Sun from Mexico, Justin Bieber said that facing up to the mistakes of his past was one of the hardest things he had ever had to deal with.

He said he did not want his fans to think he was condoning racism.

“I just hope that the next 14-year-old kid who doesn’t understand the power of these words does not make the same mistakes I made years ago,” he said.

“At the end of the day I just need to step up and own what I did. Once again, I am sorry for all those I have let down and offended.”

The Bible verses he posted on Instagram included 1 John 1:7, which reads: “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.”

The most recent 24-second clip reportedly showed Justin Bieber giggling several times as he changes the words of the song One Less Lonely Girl, which he co-wrote with Usher.

He also referred to joining the Ku Klux Klan, a white supremacist group based mainly in the US.

It’s claimed that the sound of girls laughing can be heard during the video, which is said to have been filmed shortly after Justin Bieber was signed to the Raymond Braun Media Group.

Justin Bieber has apologized for using the n-word while telling a racist joke.

A video of Justin Bieber making the comments while sat with friends was published on the Sun on Sunday website on June 1st.

It was originally filmed as part of his Never Say Never documentary in 2011.

The 20-year-old has released a statement saying: “I apologize for offending or hurting anyone with my childish and inexcusable mistake.”

The British newspaper claims people around Justin Bieber have known about the clip for some time and have spent money keeping it out of the public eye.

In the video, Justin Bieber asks: “Why are black people afraid of chainsaws?”

Justin Bieber then finished his joke by making the noise of the chainsaw and repeating the phrase “Run n*****” five times.

Earlier on Monday, Floyd Mayweather posted a picture of himself with Justin Bieber on his Instagram account along with a statement of support.

“Justin has been nothing but kind to me, my daughters and sons over the years,” he wrote.

“We all make mistakes when we are young, it’s part of growing up. I am proud of what he’s doing as a 20 year old musician and business man.”

The 37-year-old boxer has been friends with Justin Bieber for a few years.

A statement from Justin Bieber said: “As a kid, I didn’t understand the power of certain words and how they can hurt.

“I thought it was ok to repeat hurtful words and jokes, but didn’t realize at the time that it wasn’t funny and that in fact my actions were continuing the ignorance.

“Thanks to friends and family I learned from my mistakes and grew up and apologized for those wrongs.

“Now that these mistakes from the past have become public I need to apologize again to all those I have offended.

“I’m very sorry. I take my friendships with people of all cultures very seriously and I apologize for offending or hurting anyone with my childish and inexcusable mistake.

“I was a kid then and I am a man now who knows my responsibility to the world and to not make that mistake again.

“Ignorance has no place in our society and I hope the sharing of my faults can prevent others from making the same mistake in the future. I thought long and hard about what I wanted to say but telling the truth is always what’s right.

“Five years ago I made a reckless and immature mistake and I’m grateful to those close to me who helped me learn those lessons as a young man. Once again….I’m sorry.”

According to TMZ, Justin Bieber, 20, is accused of reaching into a woman’s bag and taking her phone after she had taken pictures of him at a mini golf course in Los Angeles.

“As of right now, no arrest has been made and detectives are currently interviewing the victim,” said police.

Justin Bieber has had a troubled start to 2014, after being arrested for driving under the influence in Miami. A trial is due to begin there in July.

Police in California also searched his home after he allegedly threw eggs at a neighbor’s house.

Three weeks ago, Justin Bieber was detained at Los Angeles International Airport and questioned by customs officers, after returning from Asia.

However, no formal action was taken and Justin Bieber was released after four hours.

Last week, Selena Gomez reportedly stopped following the Jenner sisters on Instagram, a move that came shortly after they all hung out together at the Coachella Music Festival.

Selena Gomez, 21, apparently believed Kendall, 18, and Kylie, 16, were a negative influence. On the other hand, Kendall and Kylie Jenner’s camp sniped that the singer is the toxic one.

It appears Selena Gomez’s dysfunctional on-off romance with Justin Bieber, 20, may have been at the heart of the rift.

A source told Us Weekly: “Selena felt Kylie was flirting with Justin.”

Another source added: “It got messy. Selena said the Jenner girls were flirting with Justin and his crew. She was pissed and overreacted.”

An insider echoes the flirting factor to E! News, claiming Selena Gomez got “a bit jealous”. Radar Online reported that some “shocking texts” were also involved.

On Monday, Kendall Jenner met up with Justin Bieber at a New York studio, and soon after they hit Nobu for sushi, tagging along Kendall’s pal, Hailey Baldwin, daughter of Stephen.

A day later, Justin Bieber posted on Instagram a sultry photo of model Ashley Moore, whom he was linked to last year.

Probably not coincidentally, these actions came just days after Selena Gomez was snapped with Orlando Bloom at Chelsea Handler’s stand-up show in Los Angeles, sparking talk of an age-mismatched hookup.

However, a source told E! News that Selena Gomez and Orlando Bloom are “not dating” and were at the show with “a bunch of people”.
