Bobbi Kristina Brown Funeral Service at St James United Methodist Church

Mourners have gathered to Saint James Methodist Church in Alpharetta, Georgia, to attend the private funeral of Bobbi Kristina Brown.

The only child of the late singer Whitney Houston died in a hospice on July 26, six months after she was found face down and unresponsive in a bathtub.

Bobbi Kristina Brown, 22, is expected to be buried beside Whitney Houston at a cemetery in New Jersey.

Whitney Houston drowned in a bathtub at a Los Angeles hotel in February 2012 on the eve of the Grammy Awards ceremony.

Bobbi Kristina Brown’s funeral service at St James United Methodist Church is closed to the public.

Her father,Bobby Brown, and grandmother Cissy Houston, were seen arriving at the funeral.

Also seen arriving were cousin Jerod Brown, Atlanta mayor Kasim Reed and R&B singer Monica.

An initial autopsy found no obvious underlying cause for Bobbi Kristina Brown’s death.

She was discovered face down in a bath at the Atlanta home she shared with her partner Nick Gordon in January 31.

Frosty relations between Nick Gordon and Bobbi Kristina Brown’s relatives came to a head in June, when her court-appointed representative sued him, accusing him of misrepresenting his relationship with her.

Nick Gordon was alleged to have transferred $11,000 of Bobbi Kristina Brown’s funds into an account controlled solely by him while she was in hospital but was never charged.
