Deven Verma dies in Pune at 77

Bollywood actor Deven Verma has died at the age of 77, in the western city of Pune.

The veteran actor, who became popular playing comic roles, suffered a severe cardiac arrest and kidney failure on Tuesday morning, his family said.

Deven Verma acted in nearly 80 Bollywood films, including Golmaal, Chori Mera Kaam, Chor Ke Ghar Chor and Angoor.

He was awarded the prestigious Filmfare Best Comedian award thrice.

Deven Verma’s fans and colleagues from Bollywood have been taking to social media sites to mourn the actor’s death.
