Chicago-based musician Rebecca Francescatti sued Lady Gaga in 2011 claiming her single Judas was lifted from a piece she had composed in 1999, named Juda.
In June, US District Judge Marvin E. Aspen dismissed the case and ruled the songs were not the same.
Lady Gaga, 28, has now filed documents requesting that Rebecca Francescatti reimburse the legal costs she incurred fighting the plagiarism claim.
According to TMZ, in the documents, the total legal bill comes to almost $1.4 million.
