Lady Gaga looks unrecognizable in a make-up free snap she posted to a fan website.

Along with the dramatic picture Lady Gaga wrote: “ARTPOP as they pry the single from my bleeding fingers. it’s a scary thing to revisit those things underneath, the pain in your past. but all I found was raw passion. I thought I was destroyed inside. I’m just ready to fight. start the music.”

In the picture Lady Gaga sports a pale complexion and her eyebrows are barely there.

Lady Gaga, who is no stranger to changing her appearance, posted the snap to a fan site Littlemonsters.com.

She looks trimmer than she has in recent months, with a pronounced collar bone on display.

Lady Gaga, who has failed to comment on reports that she has had a nose job in recent weeks, was named as the top earning celebrity under 30 years old by Forbes magazine.

The singer made an estimated $80 million in the last 12 months, despite being forced to cancel part of her tour after having hip surgery.

Last year Lady Gaga was ranked at number four, while Taylor Swift, who topped the poll in 2012, has dropped to third place with $55 million.
