Justin Bieber unveiled his new haircut at a meet and greet with fans over the weekend
The last time Justin Bieber dramatically changed his haircut it cost him just over 80,000 followers on Twitter.
It appears that the 19-year-old singer may be expecting another large number of fans to abandon him after he unveiled his latest hairstyle.
Justin Bieber has ditched his spiked up quiff in favor of the all new look which features shaved sides with a swooping floppy quiff.
His hair, which was revealed on Saturday, bears a strong resemblance to both Rihanna and Miley Cyrus who famously sported the pixie-style cut in the past.
Justin Bieber’s cut has split his fans with some loving the new style and others openly hating it.
One of them said: “What the hell has justin bieber done to his hair. Officially don’t fancy him anymore.”
Another posted: “JUSTIN BIEBER WHY WOULD YOU CUT YOUR HAIR LIKE THIS!? #ew #why.”
Another follower added: “Justin Bieber’s new haircut reminds me of Miley Cyrus or Rihanna lol.”
One fan in favor of Justin Bieber’s new haircut said: “OMB, @justinbieber NEW HAIRCUT, CAN’T BREATH, HE LOOKING SO SFGGADKLJFKLDSJFKL PERFECT. THE HAIRFLIP IS BACK! OMFB!”
One reason for Justin Bieber’s trim may be down to him wanting a fresh start since splitting up with Selena Gomez earlier this year.
The teen idol has also been dogged with bad publicity after a disastrous stay in London during his world tour which included him threatening paparazzi and upsetting fans by being late on stage.
As well as being compared to Rihanna and Miley, Justin Bieber’s locks have been likened to his original and famous swoop bangs.
The singer takes his appearance very seriously and likes to switch up his image from time to time.
When speaking to Oprah Winfrey in 2012 about changing his quiff in favor of a spiked-do he said: “I liked my long hair, but I was getting tired of it. I wanted to change it up a little bit.”
