Halle Berry admits she didn’t expect to fall pregnant at her age

In a recent interview with CNN, Halle Berry admitted that she didn’t expect to fall pregnant at her age.

Halle Berry, 46, who already has 5-year-old daughter Nahla with her former boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, said: “This has been the biggest surprise of my life, to tell you the truth. Thought I was kind of past the point where this could be a reality for me. So it’s been a big surprise and the most wonderful.”

When asked to confirm if she was expecting a boy, the actress said: “I don’t know, I don’t know. But [the baby is] healthy!”

Halle Berry announced a philanthropic campaign Monday called Watch Hunger Stop that includes raising money through the sale of a version of Michael Kors’ best-selling Runway watch. For each $295 watch sold, 100 meals will be provided to children through the U.N. World Food Programme.

Halle Berry and Michael Kors are planning to visit places together where the meals will be sent. They could land in Africa, in Syria, perhaps Central America.

The actress, who is expecting her first child with fiancé Olivier Martinez, said in an exclusive joint interview Saturday with Michael Kors: “I hope we go while I’m pregnant, so I can talk about prenatal care.”
