Miley Cyrus, 20, has recently opted for an edgier look – including a tomboyish bob and lots of leather and red lipstick.
The portraits were full of playful swagger as she and some of her friends struck poses in skimpy outfits.
Miley Cyrus donned black leather shorts and open toed stiletto pumps for the impromptu photo shoot.
Her once luxuriously long locks were dyed platinum blonde and coiffed in her now signature bob as she made silly faces for the camera.
The singer wore a loose mid-riff exposing tank top and, at least in one snap, a steel studded leather punk rock jacket.
Miley Cyrus and her two friends all sported bright red lipstick, which appeared to delight the former teen idol, who promptly captioned one of the Twitter snaps with the hashtag: “#redlipcrew.”
The snap featured the young ladies lined up in a chain-link group pose with the actress striking a rocker attitude as she clutched her inner thigh in a nod to her punk-inspired attire.
Miley Cyrus tweeted that same evening: “Girl in boys clothing.”
The tweet generated quite a response from her fans.
One follower replied: “@MileyCyrus only you can pull it off.”
