But while she may have been veiled, Kim Kardashian was certainly not demure. In a video of the shoot she unwraps her conservative outer gear to reveal a daring plunging gown which shows off her breasts.
In other shots Kim Kardashian looks like a regal Arabian princess in a jeweled goddess headband.
The cover itself was more suitable for the Middle East market, with Kim Kardashian posing in a white Stéphane Rolland dress, her hair covered by a matching long white veil.
“I’m excited to share my cover of Hia Magazine!” Kim Kardashian tweeted.
“Hia is the leading luxury lifestyle magazine for Arab woman and I’m honored to be on the cover.
“This shoot was so different from any I have done before and I’m so pleased with how the cover turned out.
“I got to wear some incredible high glamour creations by grand couturier Stéphane Rolland!”
And she later explained: “Working with Stéphane Rolland was such an honor.
“I loved how his couture creations brought a modern twist to old school glamour.
“I wore a series of stunning veils, which added a sense of allure and mystery to the shoot!”
Kim Kardashian recently visited Kuwait and Bahrain to promote the Millions Of Milkshakes chain and has a huge following in the middle east.
