Adam Levine brands Honey Boo Boo reality show as the worst thing that’s ever happened to civilization

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo reality show has been branded by Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine as the “worst thing that’s ever happened” to civilization.

Adam Levine has slammed the reality series – which follows 7-year-old beauty pageant contestant Alana Thompson (aka Honey Boo Boo) and her family – for causing “decay” to society and insists its high viewing figures do not mean it has anything important to offer.

He told GQ magazine: “Seriously, Honey Boo Boo is the decay of Western civilization.

“Just because so many people watch the show doesn’t mean it’s good.

“So many people witness atrocities and can’t take their eyes away from them, but that doesn’t mean they’re good. That show is literally The. Worst. Thing. That’s. Ever. Happened!”

Adam Levine also slammed Honey Boo Boo’s parents, June Shannon and Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson.

He blasted the “despicable” parenting shown in the programme during his expletive-filled rant.

Adam Levine said: “It’s complete f***ing ignorance and the most despicable way to treat your kids. F**k those people.

“You can put that in the magazine: F**k those idiots. They’re just the worst. Sorry, I’m so sensitive to that – like, I don’t know, man, it’s upsetting. Just to clarify, I said, <<F**K THOSE PEOPLE>>.”
