MTV EMA’s 2012: Kim Kardashian trips on stage at Frankfurt ceremony

Kim Kardashian slipped up as she walked onstage at the MTV EMA’s, with her feathered trail getting tangled up in her sky-high heels, causing the starlets toned legs to buckle.

But Kim Kardashian managed to stay standing, avoiding a Naomi Campbell floor crumbling moment and carried on her graceful ascent to the platform.

After a weekend promoting her new clothing line in London, Kim Kardashian was obviously feeling very confident about her knack for fashion.

She looked sassy and defiant in a dramatic black gown which featured a plunging neckline and elaborate train.

While some fans might assume that the eye-catching look is a result of some helpful styling by Kim Kardashian’s boyfriend Kanye West, it seems that the dress was all her own choosing.

But after a graceful red carpet entrance, Kim Kardashian narrowly avoided ending up red faced onstage, in front of an audience of millions.

The video of her narrow escape from floor hugging is set to be a viral sensation as Kim Kardashian is known for her grace.

She confided in her 16 million Twitter followers about her outfit plans for the evening.

Kim Kardashian wrote: “I’m wearing the coolest Stephane Rolland dress for tonight’s MTV Awards! Hope you guys like it!”

She also admitted that she was watching Disney films while getting ready, which might explain why she arrived dressed like a younger version of Ursula from The Little Mermaid.

The reality star said: “Watching <<Beauty & The Beast>> while glamming up for the awards! This is probably my favorite Disney movie, along with Aladdin!”

Kim Kardashian, 32, later presented the Best Song award to Carly Rae Jepsen.
