Lindsay Lohan drew attention to herself for all the wrong reasons at the amfAR New York Gala at Cipriani Wall Street last night.

Lindsay Lohan looked years older than her quarter of a century, as she appeared on the red carpet sporting a matronly look, and heavy make-up for the stylish affair last night.

The actress was looking almost unrecognizable with her overly bleached hair, badly cut fringe and glazed expression.

Lindsay Lohan’s white dress by Tom Ford did little to reveal her real age and the midi-length white shift dress, complete with modest v-neckline and sleeves, did little to flatter her figure.

While she might have hammed it up for the cameras on the red carpet, smiling broadly at times, she appeared vacant with a blank expression on her face.

Perhaps the stresses of recent months which have been fraught with legal woes, her probation obligations and allegations she has been drinking, which she strongly denies, have taken their toll on Lindsay Lohan.

Lindsay Lohan was joined by a whole host of famous faces at the event at Cipriani Wall Street and unlike the actress, most stars looked chic and stylish at the fashion event.

Supermodel Heidi Klum, who last month revealed she was splitting from husband Seal, attended the event in a long black gown with metallic sequin embellishment and accessorized with her wedding ring, which she has yet to take off.

While there was plenty of glamour on the red carpet, fashionista Sarah Jessica Parker certainly didn’t play it safe when it came to her ensemble.

Sarah Jessica Parker donned a pale pink dress which boasted considerable material around the skirt and trail, curiously teaming the feminine dress with a black leather biker jacket.

To complete the miss-matched look the actress had donned a pair of short white gloves.

Liz Hurley stepped out in a plunging stone colored dress which complimented her incredible figure to perfection.

On her arm she stepped out with beau and Australian cricketer Shane Warne who was looking dapper in his dinner suit.

Cindy Crawford looked stunning in a plunging dress with beaded detail while, Linda Evangelista opted for a suit with just a bra underneath.

Model Erin Heatherton opted for a midnight blue strapless dress which boasted a corset detail for the evening which kicks off Fall 2012 Fashion Week.

One of the most stylish dressers of the evening was Bridesmaid’s star Rose Byrne who looked incredibly chic in a fitted cream and black lace dress.

Pregnant actress Molly Sims covered up her baby bump in a flowing white gown which she teamed with a cropped fur jacket.

Jennifer Hudson appeared to have released her wild side and stepped out with big crimped hair which she teamed with a mocha-colored dress boasting a thigh high split.
