The new leggings are printed with the anatomically correct layout of the bare human muscle, with sinews, ligaments and muscle fibres printed in blood red.
Those who enjoy pushing sartorial boundaries will no doubt enjoy the shock value the £50 ($80) leggings will inevitably provide.
Black milk Clothing – which specializes in unusual leggings and also sells pairs printed with jellyfish and skeleton bones – could also find an unlikely fan in model Heidi Klum, who had an uncannily similar full body muscle suit made for her last Halloween fancy dress party.
“This is an idea that we have been thinking about for a while,” said Australian designer James Lillis of his uncanny creation.
“A few people encouraged me to do it but I never quite got around to it. Then I got a spare afternoon one day and decoded to have a good go at making it work. It worked…. perhaps a little too well!
“It’s definitely our most <<meaty>> design.”
