Giuliana Rancic reveals she has breast cancer on Today Show.

Giuliana Rancic, the E! News presenter has revealed during a Today Show interview that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

Giuliana Rancic, 37, has revealed that she discovered she had a breast tumor during some tests for in-vitro fertilization in an attempt to get pregnant.

The TV star also said the doctors are optimistic as tumor has been detected early and she will make a full recovery.

Giuliana Rancic, the E! News and Style Network host, made the announcement on NBC’s Today Show Monday morning, when she also revealed she will undergo surgery later this week.

“Through my attempt to get pregnant through IVF, we sadly found out that I have early stages of breast cancer. It’s been a shock.”

Giuliana Rancic and her husband Bill were preparing to undergo a third round of IVF treatment after the previous two attempts failed when a doctor asked her to undergo a mammogram.

“I wasn’t prepared to get a mammogram until I was 40 years old, like I’d been told. I never in my wildest dreams expected anything to be wrong. It was just a kick in the stomach.”

Giuliana Rancic told about the moment she found out she has breast cancer:

“I went into the hospital in L.A., when they came in to tell me, they said it pretty quickly, they just said, <<I’m sorry, you have breast cancer>>.

“It’s what you expect, but so much more, it was like, incredible instant sobbing and the world just crashed down around me. I couldn’t believe it – 36 years old, no family history? I couldn’t believe it.”

The TV star  said she will undergo six weeks of radiation therapy after her lumpectomy.

Giuliana Rancic looked optimistic and said she is hopeful that she will be able to resume IVF after her cancer treatment.

“I still want this baby … because this baby has saved my life. I truly feel God was looking out after me… If I had gotten pregnant later down the line, I could have been a lot sicker.”

After the news has spread, celebrities were quick to send to Giuliana Rancic their well wishes over Twitter.

Kelly Osbourne, who appears alongside Giuliana Rancic on E! Fashion Police, let her know she is thinking about her.

Kelly Osbourne, 26, whose mother Sharon was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2002, tweeted:

“I just want u 2 know I love you & that I’m thinking of u! u r a strong woman & ur going 2 beat the s*** out of this cancer!!!”

LeAnn Rimes, the country singer who recently made up with Giuliana Rancic after a war of words over weight, tweeted:

“@GiulianaRancic Sending love and prayers your way!”
