Howie Roseman, Philadelphia Eagles GM, has declared:
“Ronnie is an all-around running back with a versatile skill set”.
“He can run the ball, catch it, and does very well in pass protection. He’ll add some good size to our backfield and he’s a good character guy. We think he’ll be a tremendous compliment to LeSean (McCoy) and the other young backs on this team that we really like. You can never have enough good running backs in this league and we are happy to have Ronnie join us.”
However, Ronnie Brown is a bigger, by about 20 pounds, version of McCoy, though he’s not as quick.
[googlead tip=”patrat_mic” aliniat=”dreapta”] Ronnie Brown played and started in 9 of the 16 games of the regular 2009-10 NFL season. During those nine games Ronnie Brown managed to carry the ball 148 times for a total of 648 yards averaging 4.4 yards per carry. Ronnie Brown also managed to rush for eight touchdowns. In addition to rushing the ball managed to complete 14 passes for a total of 98 yards. During the 11th week of the regular season Ronnie Brown suffered a right foot injury against Tampa Bay and was placed on injured reserve. That injury caused him to miss the remainder of the season.
On March 19, 2010, Ronnie Brown has been arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol outside Atlanta.
[googlead tip=”vertical_mare” aliniat=”stanga”] Howie Roseman’s acquisition of Ronnie Brown is the very last in a row of moves which have brought to Philadelphia Eagles: CBs- Nnamdi Asomugha and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, DE – Jason Babin, DT – Cullen Jenkins and QB Vince Young.
Philadelphia Eagles last won an NFL title in 1960.
