Cathy’s Kids, a cancer charity set up by Lamar Odom, has failed to give considerable money raised to children in need, a new investigation has revealed.
According to ESPN, which conducted an investigation called Outside The Lines, Cathy’s Kids foundation has not given $2.2 million accumulated to any cancer-related causes since it was founded in 2004.
Questions were raised about the use of the money after investigators rifled through eight years of Lamar Odom’s tax records.

Instead of funding cancer-related patients, the money has reportedly been mostly used to finance two elite youth basketball travel teams.
According to ESPN investigation, at least 60% of the $2.2 million has helped fund the AAU teams.
The sole employee on the books for the charity is Lamar Odom’s high school coach and best man at his wedding to Khloe Kardashian, Jerry DeGregorio.
Acting as secretary for the Cathy’s Kids – named in honor of Lamar Odom’s late mother who died of stomach cancer – from 2004 to 2011, Jerry deGregorio was reportedly paid a median annual salary of around $72,000, despite the charity operating at a loss since it was created.
Cathy’s Kids is currently $256,000 in debt largely due to a loan Lamar Odom made to the charity, according to his business manager and charity’s treasurer, Lester Knispel.
The new ESPN revelations now allegedly see Lamar Odom in danger of violating tax law as, as ESPN states, if a charity spends funds not consistent with its stated mission, including paying someone like Jerry DeGregorio a salary, it could be considered as fraud by the IRS or a state attorney general’s office.
If fraudulent activity is found, prosecutors could in turn file charges against Lamar Odom.
ESPN have apparently since sought a comment from LA Clippers star about his charity’s spending habits.
Lamar Odom reportedly simply responded with: “It’s my money.”
His wife Khloe Kardashian has been heavily involved with Cathy’s Kids by setting up a personal eBay account with her husband, in which they have been selling off personal effects, including items from her designer wardrobe, to raise funds.
Khloe Kardashian has even taken to her own personal blog to promote the charity and gush about her husband’s efforts.
The Outside The Lines report also investigated more than a hundred other charities attached to high profile athletes.
The investigation revealed that 115 of the big name charities were not handing out raised profits effectively or properly.
It also found that more than 74% were not operating under the Better Business Bureau and the National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy standards.

In another preview clip, Khloe Kardashian is seen talking to her stepbrother Brandon Jenner and his wife, Leah Felder, about her infertility.
Khloe said: “About a year ago, we were like, <<Let’s just see what happens>>. And then when it didn’t happen, Kim was like, <<Let’s go to the doctor>>.
“I found out I don’t ovulate, and now my uterus lining isn’t thick enough and I have to take pills to make my uterus lining thicker. If that doesn’t get thicker, then I cannot carry a baby.”
Kourtney Kardashian, who was present but silent during the exchange, later said: “I overhear Khloe talking about her pregnancy drama, and she never really talks to me about it anymore.
“I kind of don’t really ask her, because I don’t want to always bother her. It just makes me sad that she has to struggle with getting pregnant.”

Rapper The Game has denied recent reports of a romance with married reality star Khloe Kardashian.
Life & Style magazine shows a picture of Khloe Kardashian jumping into The Game’s arms in LA’s Runyon Canyon Park last month.
The Game, real name Jayceon Terrell Taylor, told TMZ that Khloe Kardashian and her brother Rob were at the famous hiking spot to take part in his 60 Days of Fitness programme.
“The pictures that they see of us out together are because she is a part of my 60DaysofFitness team,” the 33 year-old rapper told TMZ.
“Khloe is my friend,” The Game added.
“She is like a sister. We have never and will never be sleeping together. Lamar [Odom] is my homie and her husband and I wish people wouldn’t spread such false rumors.”
Khloe Kardashian has been dogged by recent reports that her three year marriage to Lamar Odom is failing.

On Wednesday, the reality star took to her Twitter page seemingly to address the gossip.
“Wow! How disgusting are some people,” Khloe Kardashian wrote.

Life & Style magazine claimed Khloe Kardashian was “flirting up a storm” with The Game during the hike.
“Her jumping on The Game seemed like it was natural,” a fellow hiker told the publication.
“She was really happy and they seemed to be really friendly.”
The insider added that Khloe Kardashian is so fed up with her marriage, she has been exerting a new independent streak.
“Everybody thinks Khloe is a victim in her marriage, but she isn’t anymore,” the source said.
“She’s finally ready to not let Lamar have all the power.”
The Game is reported to be dating long term girlfriend Tiffney Cambridge despite the pair calling off their wedding last year.
According to Life & Style magazine, Lamar Odom “freaked” when he saw Khloe Kardashian was “hanging out with The Game”.
An insider told the publication: “Lamar stepped up to the plate and is finally working on their marriage and rekindling the flame.”
Lamar Odom has recently been showering Khloe Kardashian with gifts and taking her out to restaurants for romantic dinners, reports the magazine.
“Lamar has always loved a woman who is independent and speaks her mind, so when Khloe became so insecure and dependent on him, it was a huge turn off,” the insider added.
“Now she’s hotter than ever and really making Lamar work for it, so he’s turned up his game. Things are looking up for the two of them again.”
Lamar Odom reportedly fell asleep during an on-going child custody case on Tuesday.
The court officer asked him: “Excuse me, are you OK?”
Lamar Odom, who is now married to Khloe Kardashian, is fighting his ex Liza Morales for custody of their daughter Destiny, 14 and son Lamar Jr., 11.
After being woken from his snooze in the New York courtroom, Lamar Odom replied to the officer that he was fine, reports the NY Post.
This prompted the officer to say to him: “I need you to sit up”, which Lamar Odom reportedly did do but continued to rest his head on his hand.
The visit to court came at the same time as his former long-term girlfriend Liza Morales published an open letter in The Daily Beast speaking of her devastation at his whirlwind romance and wedding to Khloe Kardashian.

Playing on the first cologne called Unbreakable, the name simply screams Christmas.
When last year’s bottle hit the shelves they stated it was all their strong bond.
In a new statement, Khloe Kardashian, 28, describes how they channeled the most wonderful time of the year.
“The holiday season is all about surrounding yourself with the ones you adore, and we wanted to create a fragrance that really captures that overpowering joy you feel during this wonderful time,” Khloé Kardashian said.
The pair picked notes of fresh spices, champagne, jasmine, chocolate truffle, cedar wood and musk, which are apparently, the ingredients this charismatic couple surrounds themselves with during the holidays,’ according to a release.
In the advert, Khloe Kardashian can be seen wrapping her arms around her husband’s neck as she grins.
Her flowing brunette locks which cover one eye fall onto his bald head as they both look down the camera lens.
While the photograph is black and white the product stands out as it is allowed to be seen in its red glass bottle form.
The scent – which retails for $45 – features silver foil bubbles that represent champagne and the festive spirit of the season.

Kris Jenner met up with ex-lover Todd Waterman, the man who broke up her first marriage to Robert Kardashian Senior.
Long suffering Bruce Jenner, 62, for his part, had been enjoying winding his wife up about his golfing sessions with red-headed supermodel Angie Everhart, 42.
Kris Jenner, 56, had pushed him there, of course, by inviting her friend Lance Bass from NSync to dinner.
But after running into gorgeous Angie Everhart, who Kim Kardashian described as looking like the titular character Ariel from Disney’s Little Mermaid, he was soon setting up a golf date.
When he returned from the course, Bruce Jenner told a clearly rattled Kris that Angie Everhart is a “great golfer” and adds that “she got me on the last hole”.
Livid Kris Jenner snapped that she doesn’t know what that means then asked for her dry cleaning, which Bruce realized he forgot.
As he ran out of the door to get it, a furious Kris Jenner yells: “You f****** forgot my dry cleaning, thanks for thinking of me today.”

Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom are planning another move, this time back to Los Angeles, after Lamar’s exit from the Dallas Mavericks was announced on Monday.
The happy couple, who married in 2009, still hopes to have a baby – but earlier this year Khloe Kardaashian scotched claims she was looking into fertility treatment.
Khloe Kardashian took to Twitter in January to announce that she is hoping to pregnant naturally.
The reality star posted: “Because there seems to be much speculation, here is my statement… I am not at this time in my life considering any type of fertility treatments. If and when I do, I will shout it from the rooftops but for now its in Gods hands.”
In the latest issue of Cosmopolitan magazine, Khloe Kardashian confided that her mom-ager Kris Jenner sometimes calls her “fat”.
Khloe Kardashian, 27, admits that she was angry, but she dealt with the hurtful words because she had to.
The reality star rationalized to the glossy woman’s magazine: “Listen, my mom believes in us more than we believe in ourselves. But she is also our manager and trying to protect our brand.
“She’ll say, <<Oh, you’re a little too fat right now>>. If she were just my manager, I’d have fired her right then.
“You can’t talk to me like that.”

During a 2011 episode of her E! reality show, Khloe and Lamar, Khloe Kardashian was on the receiving end of some harsh words from the family’s matriarch.
Kris Jenner, 56, accused her child: “You don’t care and it’s very, very upsetting to me because I’ve worked so hard at creating what I think is a great deal for you girls and you’re not pulling your end of the weight.”
Though she’s singing a different tune now, Khloe Kardashian snapped on the show.
“To tell me I’m ruining a whole brand because of my weight gain makes me feel like s–t. Get over yourself. You’re such a f–king raging lunatic and you’re so evil.
“I’m too f–king fat, too f–king fat. Do you want me to get pregnant? Do you want me to lose weight?
“You tell me you want me to have a baby every second, but I can’t be on some crazy diet. I just don’t get what you want out of me!”

She was asked if she would cook or do a striptease to do something nice for the basketball player.
Khloe Kardashian said: “Both- together! I cook for him naked.”
She also spoke out about the scrutiny and gossip about her and her husband having children.
Khloe Kardashian explained: “People make me feel like I have a problem because I haven’t had a kid yet.”
“We were thinking we had to know when I was ovulating. But seriously? That took the fun out of everything.”
But while she hasn’t fallen pregnant yet Khloe Kardashian is confident it will happen and added: “Lamar and I definitely want kids, and when it happens for us, it will happen.”
Last week Khloe Kardashian also shared snaps of herself and her husband to her Celebuzz page.
She posted: “Hi my loves! Just wanted to post a few pics that I’ve tweeted of me and my hubby recently. It’s been over two years and I still feel like the luckiest girl in the world every single day! There’s no greater feeling than being in love :)”
On Wednesday Khloe Kardashian took Twitter to slam reports that she and Lamar Odom were breaking up after a magazine reported their marriage was over.
As earlier reports claimed that Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom’s marriage is holding on by a thread, Khloe took to Twitter to blast multiple media reports that her union to Lamar is in trouble.
Two days ago it was claimed that Lamar Odom’s partying with strippers and Khloe Kardashian’s infertility have driven a wedge between the former lovebirds.
Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom have a lot more trouble in their lives than just losing basketball games. The reality couple is reportedly at a “point of no return” in their marriage and friends told Star magazine that they fear this is the end of their blissful union.
“Khloe viewed his actions as cheating,” a source says in reference to his strip club outing at Stadium Club in Washington, DC on January 8.
“She felt violated.”
Lamar Odom was spotted at the strip club with his teammates Shawn Marion and Delonte West and he reportedly had about $500 in one hand and he was giving it away to the dancers all night. To make matters worse, Lamar Odom reportedly went into a back room with a Khloe Kardashian look-alike stripper.

The source goes on to claim that Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom never have sex unless it’s when they’re trying for a baby.
“Lamar is getting tired of her obsessing over [having a baby],” the source reveals. “They’re only intimate now when they schedule sex.”
Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian had to uproot their lives in Los Angeles after he was traded to the Dallas Mavericks, and now he is reportedly depressed over the trade.
“Khloe put on a brave face and prayed that a new beginning in Dallas would be good for their marriage,” the source adds.
“Sadly things have only gotten worse. Lamar is super depressed and Khloe is really having trouble handling his emotional issues.”
HollywoodLife.com also reported that insiders are concerned that Lamar Odom is focusing too much on reality TV and it turn it’s hurting his basketball career. Plus, a source told us that they were spending too much time together in Dallas, which was also adding stress.
Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom have had a tough marriage as of late, but Khloe defended the union on Twitter, making us hopeful that they’re trying to work things out.
When a fan told Khloe Kardashian, 27, on Twitter how upset they were with the rumors, she wrote: “it shows you how sick people are. They would rather have pain then love… Sad world.”
However, multiple sources claimed that there are tensions in the marriage, primarily because Lamar Odom feels that taping Khloe & Lamar is distracting him from playing his best for the Dallas Mavericks. Sources have revealed that he would like to quit the show, plus there are stresses over leaving Los Angeles and moving to Dallas, where they don’t have the support of close family and friends.
Then, there are the couple’s infertility issues, Khloe Kardashian admitted in a new interview that “sex became a job instead of it being fun and easy” because they were trying so hard to make babies.
Khloe Kardashian even said couple actually had decided they would back off trying to conceive because of the pressure.
