Duck Dynasty’s Jep Robertson took to Twitter to talk about his near-death experience after suffering from a seizure while deer hunting on October 19.

“Well, I about died this past Sunday…I’m doing much better now. Thanks for all the prayers! #seizuresuck #gladtobealive,” Jep Robertson, 36, tweeted on October 25.

“Just like Steven Seagal, I’m hard to kill,” he added to the snapshot.

In a statement to Us Weekly, the Robertson family says: “Jep was rushed to the hospital and received immediate treatment. He is doing well now, but is still in the hospital for additional tests and observation, and he is being treated with antibiotics to cover a range of possible infections believed to have caused the seizure.”

The statement continues: “Our family would like to thank everyone for their love and support and ask that you keep Jep, Jessica and their children in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”

Duck Dynasty Season 7 is set to premiere on A&E on November 19.

Duck Dynasty’s Jep Robertson assumed the role of bad cop when his daughter, Lily, went on her first date with a boy from her class.

The June 25 episode of Duck Dynasty showed how Jep Robertson went into over-protective dad mode after his wife broke the news that their daughter, Lily, 11, had plans to go on her very first date.

Jep Robertson’s wife, Jessica, told him that their daughter, Lily, had her first official boyfriend and they planned to go out on their first date, at mini golf. Jep insisted that he chaperone the date, and he quickly turned the situation into a good cop/bad cop scenario.

He joked that Lily would have to be 5′ 8″ tall before she was allowed to go on a date with any boy.

When the day of the date came, Jep Robertson complained when Lily’s date, John Daniel, arrived late. However, he made up for it later on when he bought Lily flowers, gave her his jacket when she was cold, and said that he enjoyed hunting.

By the end of the date, Jep Robertson and John Daniel seemed to have hit it off pretty well despite Jep’s premature opinions.

The latest episode of Duck Dynasty showed the Robertson family helping Jep to build out a playhouse.

“Basically I messed up big time,” admitted Jep Robertson.

“I promised Jessica this playhouse would be ready for the kids [and it’s not].”

When Jep Robertson told his brother Jase he would be hiring builders to assemble the playhouse, Jase said he could get the job done in one day.

“All men should be able to build and assemble,” said Jase Robertson.

“As men, we’re holding up our end of the bargain. Be a man, build something, anything.”

While Jase seemed up for the challenge, Jep was a bit loopy from the pain medication he was taking for an arm injury.

“We’ll build it while you sleep it off and we’ll give you all the credit it,” Jase offered.

But when Jep came to and saw what his brother had created he realized he was going to be in a lot of trouble.

“Jessica is not going to like this,” Jep Robertson said as he saw the playhouse had no slides or windows and looked like it would fall apart at any second.

“Anybody can call and order some prefab playhouse,” said Jase.

“Forts are for kids who want to defend themselves from other neighborhood kids. The kids who play in playhouses, they’re just looking for other places to have snack.”

As soon as Jessica saw the strange structure, she asked her husband: “Jep, I thought you were here, what were you doing this whole time? This is not what we talked about.”

“Don’t freak out, I got a plan B,” answered Jep.

“You’re going to take another nap?” snapped Jessica.

In the end, Jep hired builders to make a playhouse and although his father Phil called it a “yuppie move”, even he had to admit it was “better than letting his kids play in that death trap Jase built”.

When Jep Robertson set out to do a little home improvement he called on his father Phil to make sure it would come out correctly to please his wife Jessica.

“When you’ve got a wife as hot as mine, you’ve got to keep her happy and then some,” Phil Robertson’s youngest son Jep said.

“I’m 67 years old and when my sons get in a bind they still call dad to get them out,” complained Phil Robertson.

“We don’t know what we’re doing,” Jep Robertson told his dad.

“I’m just trying to get a little pat-pat.”

“A little <<pat-pat>>, son?” Phil Robertson asked.

“I didn’t know these little yuppie girls drive that kind of bargain up in here. What’s next? A four-car garage, a little pat-pat? Honey, go out there and build me a barn and a little pat-pat. Where does it end?”

“When I get a little pat-pat,” answered Jep Robertson.

Satisfied with his son’s answer, Phil and Jep with a little help from Duck Commander employee Justin Martin set out to build a small pathway for Jep’s house.

Duck Dynasty’s Jep Robertson is Willie’s youngest brother and son of Phil and Miss Kay.

Jep Robertson was born on May 28th, 1978.

He is the “baby” of the family, according to Miss Kay.

Jep Robertson has been married to his wife Jessica since October 7th, 2001 and they have 4 children together: Lily, 10; Merrit, 8; Priscilla, 6; and River, 4.

He didn’t appear as much in the earlier seasons of the show, but has started to change that in the 3rd and 4th seasons.

This was mostly because Jep Robertson helped film certain parts of episodes when the guys ventured into the swampy areas.

Filming and editing seems to be one of Jep Robertson’s big passions along with photography.

Duck Dynasty’s Jessica Robertson revealed she was only 20 years old when she married Jep on October 7, 2001, just four months after they began dating.

Jep and Jessica Robertson have been married now for close to twelve years, and have four beautiful children together: Lily, 10; Merritt, 8; Priscilla, 6; and River, 4.

Jessica Robertson recently opened up about how she first met Jep with A&E.

“Jep and I saw each other for the first time around February 2001 at our mutual hair stylist,” she says. And this was well “before the beard” for Jep Robertson.

Nothing came of their hair stylist encounter, but Jep and Jessica Robertson would bump into each other again at a concert about a week later.

“That was the first time we actually said more than a word to each other,” Jessica Robertson recalls.

“I started hanging out with him and all his friends that March, but we didn’t admit to liking each other until the end of May.”

They began officially dating in June and by October were married.

So what’s Jessica Robertson’s secret to making a marriage last? She offered up her relationship-strengthening tips:

Be loyal to your spouse

“Be committed to each other, even when it seems like the rest of the world views commitment and loyalty as a thing of the past.”

Forgive your spouse

“When I struggle with forgiveness, I think of how God forgave me by not holding the past against me. Then I can’t help but forgive. Never be too stubborn to say <<I’m sorry>>.”

Respect your spouse

“Showing respect can make or break your spouse’s confidence. A look, a smirk, a rude comment, even the tone of your voice can speak volumes. Build up your spouse; don’t bring him or her down.”

Cherish your spouse

“We sometimes forget to nurture the relationships with our spouse the way we do with our children. We get so busy being a mom or dad that we lose sight of this very important need. Go above and beyond to spend as much quality time together as possible. Jep and I try to go on a date a week and it has really helped keep our relationship strong.”
