The latest episode of Duck Dynasty shows John Luke Robertson totaling his father’s truck, and how Willie Robertson realizes he may be raising the two worst drivers in all of Louisiana.
John Luke Robertson did a number of Willie’s pick-up truck, so Korie and Jessica drive him to the Chevy dealer to pick up a loaner. In a rush to get to their mani-pedis, the women leave niece and nephew, Silla and River, with Willie Robertson.
Willie Robertson, 40, then remembers that all kids are trouble when he takes his niece and nephew for a ride in his loaner, a 2014 Chevy Silverado, and they cover it in ice cream.
John Luke Robertson totals his father’s truck, and Willie Robertson realizes he may be raising the two worst drivers in all of Louisiana
Despite River’s constant whacking on his leg with a toy sword, Willie Robertson explains: “I’m gonna win points with Korie.”
The kids want ice cream and Willie Robertson wants to be “the best uncle in the world.” As he explained: “Saying no is a lot more difficult than saying yes, especially when they’re not your kids.”
Before Willie Robertson drives the new loaner truck out of the ice cream shop’s parking lot, Silla has had the first spill in the back seat. That eventually degenerates into the kids actually pouring melted ice cream onto the seats.
Lucky for Willie Robertson, John Luke shows up as he’s beginning to clean the truck cab.
This week’s Robertson family moral came from Willie: “Things are replaceable. Family isn’t. Especially Si.”
Duck Dynasty’s Si Robertson discovered YouTube for the first time, and, after watching a series of instructional videos, decided he can make something better.
Uncle Si notes: “They got everything in this thing. Fainting goats. Sneezing pandas. Double rainbows, all the way to both ends… Where’s this thing been all my life?”
Jase, Jep, John Godwin, and Justin Martin helped Uncle Si shoot an instructional golf video, and upload Si’s “four point philosophy” to the web.
Si Robertson discovered YouTube for the first time
He’s so hooked on the videos that he skips lunch with the gang from the Duck Commander warehouse and then is shocked when he learns he’s been watching the laptop screen for an hour when they return.
Si Robertson decides he will make some instructional videos on subjects like “training dogs, how to walk, how to talk, how to eat a hard-shell taco,” but eventually settles on a golfing video because he was once a greens keeper at a golf course.
Dressing the part, Si Robertson later shows up in stereotypical golfing garb, including loud plaid pants, bright sweater-vest and a flat-cap.
Uncle Si explains: “You can’t go out there dressed like a baffoon.”
With Jep Robertson manning the camera, Uncle Si begins his video: “I am an amateur golfer, but a professional golf instructor.”
The final product includes Si Robertson’s four steps to better golf: Stance, swing, long putts and “don’t overdo it.”
Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia has revealed he is one of the Duck Dynasty fans.
In his lengthy new Q&A with New York Magazine, Antonin Scalia touched on plenty of serious topics, including gay rights, the media and his pop culture diet.
Antonin Scalia admitted to watching at least one episode of Duck Dynasty reality show.
“I don’t watch it regularly, but I’m a hunter,” he told the magazine.

“I use duck calls.”
Antonin Scalia explained that his interest in hunting came from his grandfather, who used to take him out to the Long Island woods to shoot rabbits. Aside from the common interest of hunting, it was word of mouth that got him to tune in.
“So many people said <<Oh, it’s a great show>> that I thought I’d better look at it,” he said.
Duck Dynasty, currently airing in its fourth season, has drawn in other celebrity fans as well, including Andrew Lincoln of The Walking Dead and Dakota Fanning.

Duck Dynasty follows the lives of the Robertsons, a Louisiana bayou family living the American dream as they operate a thriving homegrown mom-and-pop business, which makes products for duck hunters, primarily the top-of-the-line Duck Commander duck call.
According to new reports, Duck Dynasty fans are heading to West Monroe, Louisiana, as the Robertson family’s home place has become the vacation spot of the year.
Duck Dynasty, which follows Willie Robertson, his redneck family and their multimillion-dollar duck call business Duck Commander, is one of television’s most-watched reality series. More than 11.8 million viewers tuned in for the season four premiere in August, and fans are now taking their love for the show and hitting the road to visit the Robertsons’ town of West Monroe.
“We laugh and smile and shake our heads because the show has really put us on the map,” said Courtney Hornsby, president of the West Monroe-West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce. “We’re just trying to embrace it and see how we can use it to help grow the community.”

Although Courtney Hornsby did not have official tourism numbers, she says the town of 13,000 is inundated on weekends. And local businesses are aiming to take advantage of the Duck Dynasty crowds.
The local Hampton Inn has a Duck Commander package which gives participants a gift bag with their very own Phil Robertson mug when booking a room. The Downtown Monroe Alliance is planning a holiday event around the show, to be called A Very Merry Commander Christmas, and the Monroe-West Monroe Convention and Visitors Bureau created the Duck Commander Hometown Tour to help tourists find locations from Duck Dynasty.
“It’s really exciting to see our area revitalized with increased tourism from the show,” said Rebekah Landry, art and social media director for Landry Vineyards. Her family’s vineyard was shown on an episode of Duck Dynasty in 2012. Rebekah Landry estimates that half of the vineyard’s visitors come by because of the show.
“People are always asking <<Where’s Willie?>>, <<Where can I meet him?>>, <<Where does he live?>>” said Rebekah Landry.
“It can be an irritant but people are coming in the door and buying our wines, so you can’t complain.”
Lori and Dalton Young and their four children spent their spring break visiting West Monroe from McKinney, Texas. Their first stop was the Duck Commander warehouse where they bumped into Si Robertson.
“Our youngest daughter has Down syndrome, and it was really sweet to see Si talking to her,” said Lori Young.
“She kept calling him daddy so he was laughing and joking with her.”
Tim Guraedy, better known as Duck Dynasty’s Mountain Man, paid a visit to the mid-south last Sunday.
Mountain Man spent the day at the opening of Collierville’s new Academy Sports Store in Tennessee. He signed autographs and took pictures with fans.
Tim Guraedy is better known as Duck Dynasty’s Mountain Man
Duck Dynasty is an A&E reality TV show based on a down home Louisiana family that struck it rich making duck callers.
Mountain Man is the Robertson family’s neighbor who owns his own air conditioning repair business, co-hosts a local radio talk show on KXKZ and appears regularly on Duck Dynasty reality show.
GOP operatives in Louisiana were trying to court Duck Dynasty’s Willie Robertson for retiring Rep. Rodney Alexander’s, R-La., Congressional seat, but this time around, that’s not happening.
“I ran for about a week, but I wasn’t aware that I was running,” Willie Robertson said in Washington last week.
“I never rule anything out,” he added.
“I like staying involved in politics, in trying to help shape things.”
Willie Robertson and his wife Korie were in Washington DC for the annual Angels in Adoption gala
Willie Robertson also advised current Members of Congress on how to solve the government shutdown: “I’m trying to get people to work in my duck call room, that’s hard enough.”
The Duck Dynasty star revealed he didn’t suffer from the shutdown on this Washington trip.
“No, it didn’t affect me getting in here at all, we’ll be back to work tomorrow,” Willie Robertson said.
“See, we still have to work down in Louisiana, so we’ve got to go to work and make some duck calls, try them out and keep making the TV show.”
Willie Robertson and his wife Korie were in Washington D.C. for the annual Angels in Adoption gala and were honored for the positive portrayal of adoption on their reality show.
“I asked Korie to marry me when she was 17, so really, I feel like I adopted her,” Willie Robertson joked.

Duck Dynasty’s Willie and Korie Robertson revealed they didn’t have the money to pay the adoption fee their adopted son Will.
“We said, <<We’re good for it – we’ll come back>>,” Willie Robertson said Wednesday night in Washington, D.C., at the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute’s Angels in Adoption Gala, where he and his wife were honored.
“We’ve paid it, by the way.”
Willie and Korie Robertson revealed they didn’t have the money to pay the adoption fee their adopted son Will
Willie and Korie Robertson arrived in Washington D.C. about two hours before the event, to take a short break from filming Duck Dynasty show and talk about the importance of adoption.
“There shouldn’t be kids without homes. It just shouldn’t happen,” Korie Robertson told PEOPLE magazine.
When she accepted her award, Korie Robertson started crying as she reminisced about her parents loving, open home, and adopting their son when he was 5 weeks old.
“From the moment we found out about him, he was ours,” Korie Robertson told the audience.
“I swear, I had labor pains the night before I went and picked him up at the foster home he was living at. He’s our child, just like our biological children.”
And while Duck Dynasty show brought them fame and money – family is all that matters, they say.
“I’ve done a lot of cool things in the past couple of years, I’ve been to Super Bowls, I’ve met Presidents – but the best decision we ever made – that made the biggest impact on our life was the adoption of our son Will,” Willie Robertson said.
According to a new report, Duck Dynasty’s Willie Robertson – the family member whose entrepreneurial spirit made the reality show a success – is increasingly hungry for the spotlight, In Touch magazine claims, and his family believes he’s gone too far.
“When the family is resistant to Willie’s ideas, he says they don’t see the big picture,” one source explains.
“The truth is, they just don’t care as much.”
Willie Robertson’s desire for fame causes Duck Dynasty family to feud
Willie Robertson has spear-headed deals for books, a Christmas album, and more, and still “wants them to build a bigger empire,” says the source, but the rest of the family is increasingly wary of the spotlight.
Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson admitted he wanted the show to “go on without me,” and according to In Touch magazine, the younger generation, Willie’s brothers Jase and Jep want out too.
Jep Robertson and his wife Jessica “fear the show will damage their marriage,” the source claims.
But for now, it seems, the Robertsons are willing to go along with Willie Robertson’s grand schemes.
“When the family gets overwhelmed by the attention, Willie talks them off the ledge,” a source explains.
“He’s the force behind all of this.”
Willie and Korie Robertson took a break from filming Duck Dynasty to receive the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute’s annual Angels in Adoption award at the Reagan Building.

Clad in jeans and his trademark American flag bandana, Willie Robertson – CEO of the family-owned business – displayed the charm that made the Robertsons TV stars.
“I really didn’t know what exactly this was, I’ll admit,” he told the crowd.
Korie Robertson gave him his marching orders about the trip to D.C.: “You don’t have to wear a suit, food will be free, and we’re talking about adoption.”
Willie Robertson also gave advices on the shutdown: “I understand what it’s like – you should try to get Uncle Si to make duck calls in the duck call room. It’s probably harder running the government of the United States.”
The latest episode of Duck Dynasty showed Phil and Miss Kay Robertson being worried about their mortality after a visit to the doctor.
Phil and Miss Kay Robertson went to visit their son Willie to share their concerns.
“Well, simply put,” Phil Robertson told Willie.
“We’re dying,” finished Miss Kay.
“You’re both dying?” asked a confused Willie.
After a visit to the doctor, Phil and Miss Kay Robertson were worried about their mortality
“Miss Kay and I are healthy as we can be, as far as I know,” explained Phil.
“If you made it 65 years, you’re like, way ahead of the game, but we will go.”
“So, no one’s dying, right?” clarified Willie Robertson.
“Well, not at the moment,” admitted Miss Kay.
“We just want to make sure that what we leave behind is in order,” said Phil Robertson.
“Is this about your will?” asked Willie.
“Who gets what, you know, so you don’t fight,” answered the Duck Dynasty patriarch.
“So, I’m saying let’s go down there, look at the property lines, get it all divided up.”
“Today?” the Duck Commander CEO asked.
“Today,” said his father Phil, firmly.
“Right now.”
Phil and Willie leave the office to tour the massive Robertson compound, where Willie learns that instead of getting the house (like Alan), or the land next to the river (like Jase) or the land next to the lake (like Jep), he ends up with the property that soon will have a pipeline running through it.
Willie Robertson was being something of a jerk on the latest episode of Duck Dynasty.
Willie Robertson, 40, ordered a case of wildebeest biltong, a thick, exotic cured meat from South Africa, and refused to share it with anyone.
“Anybody who knows about real beef jerky, knows about biltong,” Willie Robertson explained.
“Biltong is delicious.”
The smell of Willie Robertson’s biltong was so pungent, it brought Jase and Uncle Si straight into his office.
“I smell me some meat,” said Jase Robertson.
“I’m part bloodhound. The nose don’t lie.”
“I smell meat,” chimed in Uncle Si Robertson.
Willie Robertson was being something of a jerk on the latest episode of Duck Dynasty
“Let’s eat, son.”
Willie Robertson, however, was not giving up the jerky.
“This is mine, I put Jack Link’s in the break room for you guys,” the Duck Commander CEO explained.
“I’m not here to feed you guys, you’re here to work.”
“Are you serious, you’re not going to share that?” asked a slightly bewildered Jase Robertson.
“Mmmm-hmmm,” replied Willie, licking the biltong.
“That’s just wrong,” said Jase, leaving Willie’s office in disgust.
“That’s it, I’m out of here. You’re a terrible brother.”
Having been denied a share of Willie’s biltong, Jase and Uncle Si were left with an insatiable hankering for dried meat.
“We have, as rednecks, the right to eat beef jerky,” explained a ticked off Jase.
“Beef jerky is a redneck’s fuel. You take away his beef jerky, he’s sitting in the corner, sucking his thumb. Everyone knows that.”
To remedy the wrong, the Duck Commander crew decided take the afternoon off and make their own jerky, using Justin Martin’s venison and John Godwin’s dehydrator.
“You don’t want to share your jerky, fine,” grumbled Jase Robertson.
“I’ll make my own biltong, and I’ll call it <<Jase-tong>>.”
Wayne Bridges, an Alabama knife maker, drove just over 300 miles to West Monroe, Louisiana, on September 30 to present a 15-pound “pocket” knife to Duck Dynasty’s Jase Robertson.
“I just wanted to make it for him,” said Wayne Bridges, 67.
“I watch <<Duck Dynasty>> and he’s my favorite character. He’s got plenty of money so he can buy whatever he wants, but this is something that I handmade.”
Wayne Bridges drove just over 300 miles to West Monroe to present a 15-pound pocket knife to Jase Robertson
Unfortunately, Duck Commander – where Jase Robertson and other cast members work to make duck calls for the family business – was closed for construction, and some of the family was out of town for the week.
Instead, Wayne Bridges met with Alan Robertson, Jase’s older brother, at the family church and left the knife with him. Wayne Bridges said everyone had a fit over the knife when he showed it to them.
Wayne Bridges has been making knives at his house on U.S. Highway 43 in Northport for 40 years. The hobby started when a friend asked him to fix a broken handle on one of his knives.
At first, Wayne Bridges just made knives for himself and his three sons, but soon people starting asking him to make them for people outside the family.
Duck calls, the product that made Duck Dynasty stars millionaires, is still the Robertson family’s true moneymaker.
Last year, they sold 60,000 of their Duck Commander callers.
This year, Duck Dynasty stars are projected to sell over 750,000 duck calls, and at an average price of $59.72 (they range from $19.95 to $179.95), they are set to make $44,790,000 on their duck calls in 2013!
With their recent pay raise, the 20-person cast will be making over $200,000 per episode. At seven episodes a season, that means they’ll rake in a whopping $1.4 million for season four.
Willie Robertson’s book, The Duck Commander Family, has sold over 1 million copies on Amazon. At a price of around $12, that’s $12 million in sales.

Phil Robertson also has a book, titled Happy, Happy, Happy: My Life and Legacy as the Duck Commander, that also retails for $12 on Amazon.
The first three seasons of Duck Dynasty are available for purchase. Season three retails for $20 on A&E’s website.
WalMart is a big seller of Duck Dynasty products.
“<<Duck Dynasty>> T-shirts are our best-selling licensed graphic shirts across the men’s, boys’ and ladies’ departments,” Sarah McKinney, the Director of Communications at WalMart, told E! News.
She added: “WalMart currently sells Duck Dynasty products in six different departments, from apparel to home goods to sporting gear and Band-Aids.”
Next year, a Duck Commander cruise will be available for fans. The luxury Standby Balcony Cabin fetches up to $1,564.00. The Duck Commander cruises are already sold out for 2014.
The family sells kitchen products including marinade, seasonings, cups and a cooking DVD.
Other products sold on their website include hunting gear, bobbleheads, air fresheners, caps, keychains, bracelets, bandanas, mugs, plates, napkins, drink koozies and fake beards. And, of course, the $650 Catnapper Camo Laredo Recliner chair.
Students and College for a Weekend (CFAW) guests enjoyed a performance by the band Crowder and a message of encouragement from Duck Dynasty’s Willie Robertson during Liberty University’s Convocation.
Willie Robertson, 41, is the CEO of Duck Commander, a leading duck call manufacturer, and the executive producer of Duck Dynasty. As the only member of the family with a business degree, Willie Robertson took the company from a living room operation to a premier destination for all things outdoors.
Before Willie Robertson took the stage, Crowder gave the crowd a preview of its upcoming concert with Colton Dixon. The band performed, This I Know, a song about Christ’s love for people.
Vice President for Communications Johnnie Moore also took a few minutes to greet CFAW guests and let them know how much Liberty appreciates them.
“We want you to know that as members in the body of Christ you are our honored guests and we are really glad you are here today,” he told the crowd.
President Jerry Falwell, Jr. introduced Robertson as “the star and driving force of the biggest reality television show in the history of cable television.”
Duck Dynasty’s Willie Robertson during Liberty University’s Convocation
“In addition to his business savvy, Willie and his entire family are known for their faith in Jesus Christ,” Jerry Falwell said.
“They are not just some of the top celebrities of our time, but are some our nation’s most famous Christians.”
Willie Robertson shared how his father Phil came to know Christ when he was 28 years old and decided to make duck calls, a tool hunters use to lure fowl.
“Without my father making the decision to come to Christ, there would not be a show called <<Duck Dynasty>>,” he said.
“When you are moving toward God, you are moving in the right direction.”
Willie Robertson then told the story of John the Baptist pointing people to Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew and how the book of Isaiah calls John the “highway for God.”
“My challenge to you is to not let the world’s measuring stick show you what is successful,” he said.
“Our family views success (as being) able to go around the country and share the message of the Lord and to talk about our faith.”
As he finished, Willie Robertson reminded students that even though they may believe in God, Satan will always try to prevent them from spreading the Gospel.
“A base like this [Liberty University] of young people can move mountains. Thank you for watching our show – you are making a difference,” Willie Robertson said.

Jessica Robertson revealed how they kept their marriage strong and how you can improve yours.
Jessica and Jep Robertson celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary
In a blog post for A&E, Jessica Robertson recalls meeting now-husband Jep at their “mutual hair stylist” in February 2001 and marrying him just eight months later.
Since they marries, Jessica and Jep have raised a happy family: Lily, 10, Merritt, 8, Priscilla, 6, and River, 4, make up their burgeoning brood – and have managed to keep their marriage full of love.
Jessica Robertson shared four tips to maintaining a strong marriage:
1. Be loyal to your spouse.
2. Forgive your spouse.
3. Respect your spouse.
4. Cherish your spouse.

For Duck Dynasty’s Si Robertson the one item he can’t live without is his blue Tupperware cup.
Uncle Si Robertson explains the full story behind his unusual accessory for the first time in his new book, Si-cology: Tales and Wisdom from Duck Dynasty’s Favorite Uncle.
He first acquired the blue Tupperware container when his mother sent it to him in a care package during his time serving in the military in Vietnam.
“Somehow, Momma’s iced tea cup stayed with me all the way through Vietnam, and I’ve carried it in my back pocket ever since,” Si Robertson writes.
Si Robertson explains the full story behind his blue cup for the first time in his new book
“I guess if it can make it through the napalm, mustard gas, and rice wine of Vietnam, I’ll probably take it to my grave.”
Si Robertson says he never lets the cup out of his sight, and he wouldn’t part with it for the world.
“One time, a guy handed me a blank check and wanted to buy my iced tea cup,” Uncle Si claims.
“<<Fill in the amount>>, he said. <<Whatever it takes. I want that Tupperware cup>>.”
Si Robertson continues: “<<It’s not for sale>>, I told him. I told the guy to go buy his own Tupperware cup …”
The Tupperware brand has been thrilled with all of the prominent product placement the blue cup gets on Duck Dynasty show, and sent Si Robertson “a stainless steel saucepan with a lid, a big boiling pot, and a really nice set of steak knives,” plus a dozen blue cups, he claims.
“Apparently Tupperware cups are making a comeback,” Si Robertson writes.

Duck Dynasty continues to smash competition in the ratings on Wednesday nights, but Phil Robertson has spoken out about how the show is portrayed.
In an interview with Sports Spectrum TV earlier this year that’s only recently gone viral, Phil Robertson admitted that fake bleeps were inserted into the show even though there was no cursing happening.
“The inserted fake bleeps … like somebody had used profanity, but no one had used profanity,” Phil Robertson said.
“I ask those guys that produce the show … <<What’s the point of the fake bleeps?>>”
In an interview with Sports Spectrum TV earlier this year that’s only recently gone viral, Phil Robertson admitted that fake bleeps were inserted into the show even though there was no cursing happening
Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson admitted that there are up to 20 editors who are “arranging the scenes” on the show so they might think that’s where cursing likely happened.
“Of course these people probably thought that there was some profanity going on which there was zero,” Phil Robertson stated.
“If we’re not using profanity, why make it look like we’re using profanity? What is the point? Why don’t you just run it and say what we say?”
Phil Robertson also said that the name Jesus has been cut out during the family’s prayer scene at the end of the show.
“So they would just have me saying, <<Thank you Lord for the food, thank you for loving us. Amen>>. So I said, <<Why would you cut out ‘In Jesus’ name?>> They said, <<Well those editors are probably doing that. They just think that they don’t want to offend some of the Muslims or something>>.”
Phil Robertson said that since that conversation the show has been leaving “Jesus” in the show.
“So I notice now they are … leaving it in there, but you got to remember, spiritual warfare,” Phil Robertson said.
“I mean you have people with no moral compass, it ain’t there.”

Duck Dynasty’s Si Robertson says college is “crap”!
“Some parents get all bent out of shape because their kids don’t want to go to college,” Si Robertson writes in his new book, Si-cology: Tales and Wisdom from Duck Dynasty’s Favorite Uncle.
“Look, college isn’t for everyone.”
“To me, college is an endurance test,” Si Robertson continues.
Si Robertson did attend college briefly, at Louisiana Tech, because his parents insisted
“You put up with four or five years of crap just for someone to hand you a piece of paper that says you have some sense. Hey, news flash for all you people: I got sense without the paper! And I didn’t have to endure four or five years of crap for someone to tell me I’m smart!”
Si Robertson, now 65, did attend college briefly, at Louisiana Tech, because his parents insisted.
“While my older brothers were at Louisiana Tech to actually get an education, I went there for three quarters and did nothing but party for two of them,” Si Robertson writes.
“I rarely went to class because I didn’t have much interest in getting a college education. My partner in crime was Miss Kay’s cousin Charles Hollier. We called him Tinker Bell, and he was flunking out of school, too. We pretty much had our own fraternity, Kappa Tappa Kegga … It didn’t take me long to figure out there was always a party somewhere at college if you looked for it, and I usually took the time to find one!”
Si Robertson dropped out before the school year was through.
Duck Dynasty stars Willie and Korie Robertson opened up about their family’s fame, faith, and facial hair in a recent interview with Us Weekly.
With the exception of new addition Alan Robertson, the men of Duck Dynasty – Phil Robertson, his brother Si Robertson, and his sons Willie, Jase, and Jep Robertson – are as famous for their beards as for their duck-call business
“Phil has the classic, mature beard,” Willie Robertson said of his father.
Willie and Korie Robertson open up about their family’s fame, faith, and facial hair in a recent interview with Us Weekly
“Jase’s is kind of red – it’s weird, like him! Jep grooms his the most: He’s got all these special lotions and perfumes that he puts on.”
In fact, Jep Robertson has been known to shampoo, condition, and even blow-dry his impressive facial hair. In that way, he’s the opposite of his uncle.
“Si’s beard is really awkward,” Willie Robertson reveals.
“One side is longer than the other, and it’s about three different colors. I don’t think he washes it. It’s nasty.”
