The two women were found stabbed to death by Recep Cetin in a forest, near the city of Izmir, Turkey.
Marion Graham and Kathy Dinsmore, both 54, were persuaded to take a taxi with the 17-year-old boy on the pretext that he wanted them to meet his father.
Recep Cetin asked the taxi driver to drive off the main road and went into a forest where he reportedly slashed their throats and stabbed them repeatedly.

Initially, during police investigation, the Turkish teenager denied any involvement with their disappearance and he was claiming he had suffered a cut hand trying to fight off kidnappers who had bundled the women in a van.
However, the police investigators found bloodstained clothing dumped in a bin near his home and confronted the teenager who eventually admitted he killed the two women.

Recep Cetin, who uses the name Alex, admitted he took the women in his father’s car to the forest near Buca, on the outskirts of Izmir, and stabbed them.
He appeared in court on Friday evening in a preliminary hearing.
Shannon’s father, Raymond McGuinness, was due to fly to Turkey on Saturday to bring his daughter home with the bodies of her mother and friend.
Raymond McGuinness said:
“He told Shannon that he had tried to stop the kidnappers and he had a cut on his hand and that’s how he suffered it.”
The two murdered women are from Newry in County Down, Northern Ireland, but were travelling on Irish passports, which is not uncommon.
Marion Graham had rented a house in the famous resort of Kusadasi, 60 miles to the south of Izmir and on the Aegean seaside, and she used to spend long time in there every summer.
Her sister, Monica Higgins, said:
“It’s absolutely devastating. We’ve just found out. My mother’s in the car crying her eyes out.
“We’re trying to work with the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs to find out what exactly happened to her.”
Mrs. Graham’s daughter, Shannon was not with the women when they were attacked being on a boat trip out of Kusadasi for the day.
Shannon has been in a relationship with the Turkish waiter, who had been staying with the group, for 3 years.

Niagara Parks Police and emergency workers combed the area with helicopters and boats, but couldn’t find the woman, who is presumed to have drowned.
Search crews instead found male remains in a whirlpool of the lower Niagara River, but police said there is no connection to the missing student.

KABUL, Afghanistan (Aug. 6, 2011) – An International Security Assistance Force helicopter crashed in eastern Afghanistan today, and recovery operations are underway.
ISAF is still in the process of assessing the circumstances to determine the facts of the incident, reporting indicates there was enemy activity in the area.

At least 38 people were killed in the crash. There were seven Afghan nationals and 31 NATO service members aboard the crashed helicopter. The crashed helicopter was traveling through the Wardak province. This was all in A statement from President Hamid Karzai’s office, quoted by CNN.

The facilitator has coordinated several attacks against the Afghan government and the Afghan National Army. Additionally, he is responsible for supplying roadside bomb components and ammunition to insurgents in the area.
Upon arriving in the district, the security force encountered a group of insurgents, armed with rocket propelled grenade launchers and AK-47 assault rifles. An exchange of fire initiated shortly after, resulting in several insurgents killed.

In Qalat district, Zabul province, a combined Afghan and coalition security force detained two suspected insurgents during a security search for a Taliban leader, yesterday. The leader is responsible for roadside bomb and direct fire attacks against Afghan and coalition security forces. He has also coordinated complex ambushes in the province.
During a security operation in Spin Boldak district, Kandahar province, a combined Afghan and coalition security force detained a Taliban leader and two suspected insurgents, yesterday. The leader directed insurgent attacks in the Nawa area of Spin Boldak.
In Nahr-e Saraj, Helmand province, a combined Afghan and coalition security force detained several Taliban insurgents during a security operation, yesterday. The suspected insurgents were detained by Afghan forces for further questioning.
Also in the South, a combined Afghan and coalition security force killed an insurgent leader and several subordinate fighters during an exchange of small arms fire, in Nimroz province, Thursday.
The targeted leader had links to other senior insurgents across Helmand and Nimroz provinces, and was heavily involved in the production of improvised explosive devices.

During a security operation in Zurmat district, Paktiya province, a combined Afghan and coalition security force detained several suspected insurgents yesterday while searching for a Haqqani network leader. The leader coordinates roadside bomb and direct attacks against the Afghan National Army.
In Terayzai district, Khost province, a combined Afghan and coalition security force conducted a security search for a Haqqani network facilitator yesterday, resulting in two suspected insurgents detained. The facilitator is involved in weapons distribution and roadside bomb construction.
In Ghazni district, Ghazni province, a combined Afghan and coalition security force detained several suspected insurgents while searching for a Taliban leader, yesterday. The leader oversees fighters and plans attacks against Afghan National Security Forces.
Also in the East, a combined Afghan and coalition force operation detained numerous insurgents in Maidan Shahr district, Wardak province, yesterday. The target of the operation was an IED cell leader responsible for numerous attacks against coalition forces in the district. The detained individuals were taken by Afghan authorities for processing and further questioning.
Finally, a combined Afghan and coalition force targeted an insurgent group during an operation in Kabul district, Kabul province, yesterday. Two insurgents were detained by Afghan authorities for further questioning.
Mr. Bean survives McLaren F1 crash – lucky to be alive.
Rowan Atkinson, famed for his Mr. Bean television shows and films, is recovering in hospital after crashing his McLaren F1 supercar near the Cambridgeshire village of Haddon, according to the British media. Police and firefighters both said that a vehicle crashed late Thursday close to Haddon, a village about 135 kilometres north of London.
Rowan Atkinson, 56 comedian, also known for the Blackadder historical comedy shows, was expected to be discharged on Friday after treatment for a shoulder injury, the Daily Mirror reported.

Cambridgeshire Ambulance Service confirmed the actor had suffered a “minor shoulder injury” as a result of the accident.

Firefighters said the driver was not trapped and he was taken to hospital. Rowan Atkinson walked away from the wreckage and was with a passing motorist until emergency services arrived.

a Cambridgeshire Police spokesman said on Friday.
“The driver of the vehicle, a man, was taken to Peterborough City Hospital.”
East of England ambulance service said :
“We were called to a single vehicle road traffic collision at 7.30 tonight on the A605 at Haddon.”
“A man was taken to hospital in Peterborough with “a minor shoulder injury”, a spokesman added.
A spokeswoman for Cambridgeshire police said:
“We can confirm that there was a single vehicle road traffic collision at around 7.30pm on the A605.”
Firefighters arrived on the scene to put out the blaze.
