Family, friends and fans of the former metal-band Warrant singer are still waiting for the results of toxicology and other tests that “will come in over the next two months or so,” said Assistant Chief Coroner, Ed Winter.
Jani Lane, 47, was pronounced dead early Thursday evening after paramedics found him unresponsive in a Comfort Inn room in Woodland Hills,LA, far from his Redondo Beach home.

In the “Cherry Pie”, Warrant celebrates the woman describing her as a “cherry pie” and the result was a scream-along anthem tailor-made for testosterone-fueled pop metal heads and the women who loved them.
However, as a self-respecting metal band, Warrant and the bleached-blond Lane had a softer side, that could be seen on full display in the video for “Heaven,” a love ballad with the slow motion images of Jani Lane and the band enjoying their rock-star lives.
