Gwyneth Paltrow was named the world’s most beautiful woman by People magazine, which praised her “timeless look”.
However, Gwyneth Paltrow, 40, received a barrage of abuse on Twitter after being crowned People magazine’s Most Beautiful Woman 2013.
Gwyneth paltrow beat actresses Jennifer Lawrence, 22, and Amanda Seyfried, 27, to the top spot, and snatched the title from her best friend Beyonce, 31, who won last year.
But within hours of the award being announced, critics took to Twitter to attack the decision.
One remarked: “If Gwyneth Paltrow is the most beautiful woman in the world then I’m a ten times Olympic bobsled gold medalist and Top Gun fighter pilot.”
Another wrote: “So People magazine has declared Gwyneth Paltrow is the world’s most beautiful woman, I wonder how they decide this. Bunch of c**p.”

“Gwyneth Paltrow’s publicist has not only earned his or her holiday bonus this year already but yours and mine as well,” added a third.
The comments come just a week after Gwyneth Paltrow was voted one of the most hated celebrities in Hollywood in a poll by Star magazine.
The actress was accused of being arrogant and giving patronizing advice on everything from cookery to how to dress.
Clean-living Gwyneth Paltrow, who is married to Coldplay singer Chris Martin, follows a rigorous diet and exercise regime to keep herself in shape.
But despite always appearing immaculate at red carpet events, she insists she spends most of her time lounging around in “baggy shorts” with “frizzy hair”.
Gwyneth Paltrow said: “Around the house, I’m in jeans and a t-shirt. I don’t really wear make-up. That’s what [my family] are used to.
“And Chris will make a joke about it. If I’ve gotten fully dressed up, he’ll be like, <<Oh, wow! You’re Gwyneth Paltrow!>> Because he’s used to seeing me in baggy shorts and frizzy hair.”
Describing her intensive fitness regime, which involves training five times a week with celebrity instructor Tracy Anderson, Gwyneth Paltrow added: “It makes me look younger and feel strong. It’s like brushing my teeth, I just do it.”

Liam Hemsworth allegedly cheated on Miley Cyrus with 35-year-old January Jones, according to Star magazine.
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have been engaged for eight months.
The 23-year-old Australian actor was pictured arriving to the Chateau Marmont in Hollywood without Miley Cyrus.
January Jones was also at the event, and apparently the actors were seen getting cosy when they thought others weren’t looking.
“It looked like they had some hot chemistry. They were all over each other – and they even kissed!” a source said.
Liam Hemsworth and January Jones were also pictured in the back of the same car after partying Saturday evening.
Miley Cyrus meanwhile turned up solo to Elson John’s AIDS Foundation gala on Sunday night.
The 20-year-old singer and actress recently gushed about her relationship with Liam in the new issue of Cosmopolitan magazine. Asked what she values most in her life, she said she is most proud of her connection with her fiancé.
January Jones has previously been linked to Ashton Kutcher, Josh Groban and Jason Sudekis, and has a 17-month-old son, Xander, from a previous relationship.
The identity of Xander’s father remains unknown to the public after January Jones chose to leave his name off of the birth certificate.

Star magazine in US appears to have Photoshopped a baby bump onto the Duchess of Cambridge’s slender frame.
Star magazine, which claims to reveal that Kate is pregnant with twins, published an image of the British royal from her recent visit to Singapore on the cover of its latest issue.
Kate Middleton, 30, is seen standing in what is quite a typical pose, with her shoulders back and hips forward, with her arm resting across her midriff, as she toasts Mary Tan, the wife of President of Singapore.
However, the gossip site Celebuzz suggests that Star magazine has taken the liberty of retouching the photograph, to make it appear as though the Duchess’s stomach is larger than it is.

On comparison with what it believes to be the original photograph, the site says there are several glaring clues indicating that it has been airbrushed to suit the title’s headlines.
It reads: “Not only has is her floral slim-fit frock been mysteriously blown out…”
Star magazine accompanied the image with a sensational coverline of: “Scandal turns to joy: It’s twins!”
Two bullet points beneath add: “Pregnant Kate gets thrilling news amid nude photo uproar… Up to 125lbs and showing.”
The inside story cites a “family friend”, “insider” and a “source”, who apparently told the title that the Royal couple conceived during a “passionate night” in Wales after the London Olympics.
It is Star‘s second cover in a row claiming to reveal that the Duchess is expecting. Just last week it suggested that stitching in the waistband of one of Kate’s dresses was proof that it had been let out to make space for “mommy weight”.
The headline sparked a furious response from singer Demi Lovato who took to Twitter to slam the publication.
She wrote: “So apparently Kate Middleton (William?) is pregnant because of THIS picture… Are you KIDDING ME?!!
“And people wonder why girls/guys have body image issues.. Whether she is or not, she still has a beautiful body. Shame on you Star magazine.”

A source has claimed that “momager” Kris Jenner, 56, helped to set up the sale of the video which led to 31-year-old Kim Kardashian’s fame.
The insider allegedly claimed to Star Magazine via Radar Online: “Kris was totally involved in arranging the sale of Kim’s tape.
“The video already existed, and Kris was there every step of the way as a middleman brought in to market it to an adult entertainment company.”

The source also alleged that Kris Jenner was delighted when she found out the tape, released by adult company Vivid Entertainment, was titled Kim Kardashian, Superstar.
The insider claimed: “That must have thrilled Kris since you could hardly call Kim a household name at that point in time.”
And they added that Kris Jenner allegedly received a hefty pay out for the sale of the video.
The source claimed: “I saw Kris Jenner’s signature on the contract; I believe she got somewhere between $250,000 and $500,000 for the original deal with the middleman.”
Kim Kardashian had filmed the tape three years earlier when she was 23, and Keeping Up With The Kardashians premiered eight months after its release.
And the source alleged to the publication that it was all part of the plan for Kris Jenner.
They claimed: “Everything she does in this world, every decision she makes on her daughters’ behalf, is based on greed and publicity. And has nothing to do with her family’s stability or happiness.”
Star Magazine claims that the source passed a polygraph test while making the allegations.
Back in June reports emerged that Kris Jenner had allegedly instructed Kim Kardashian to make the video even had her re-shoot it because the first take wasn’t “pretty enough”.
Kim Kardashian’s younger sister Khloe was infuriated by the claims and said: “That is just disgusting and disturbing, and probably HIS fantasy!”

Insiders say that after months of sober living during 2011, Whitney Houston fell off the wagon.
A source told Star magazine: “The last three months of Whitney’s life were truly tragic.”

Eyewitness told Star magazine about Whitney Houston partying at Hollywood club Playhouse on January 2.
“Whitney got buck-wild. She drank cognac and champagne and seemed completely out of it from the moment she arrived until the moment she left at 2:30 a.m.”

“Once in a while, she would get on her cell phone and start screaming at someone. She seemed almost manic at moments and practically unconscious the next.”
Whitney Houston’s wild behavior continued right until her death.
CNN anchor Don Lemon claimed he saw Whitney Houston doing somersaults in the pool just days before she died – saying she had been drinking alcohol from as early as 10:00 a.m.
Whitney Houston will be laid to rest tomorrow after a funeral service at New Hope Baptist Church in her hometown of Newark, New Jersey.
Meanwhile Ray J, who was dating Whitney Houston in the months before her death, has finally broken his silence.
Ray-J, 31, released a statement that said: “Over the past few days, I’ve tried to process the emptiness that I am experiencing. What my heart feels cannot be expressed in words. The world lost an icon, but I lost my close friend.”
Alluding to a nickname given to Whitney Houston by her father he added: “Nippy, I miss you so much!”
“You were so happy and full of love. Your smile will live in my heart forever.”
Ray-J was seen at LAX airport today catching a flight to New Jersey ahead of Whitey Houston’s funeral tomorrow.

“Of course Bruce was every woman’s heartthrob when he was that age, right?” Ellen Pierson told the Star.

Kris Jenner, his third wife, apparently has no qualms about Bruce’s penchant for cross-dressing, according to Ellen Pierson.
Ellen Pierson claims Kris Jenner was unfazed by his odd habit and that he continued to cross-dress for years after their 1991 wedding.
But apparently the Kardashian girls were not as accepting.
“Khloe called her dad and she was very upset, crying and screaming about it,” Ellen Pierson said.
