Each product in the range, priced between $28 for a pair of pants and $82 for leggings, has a tongue-in-cheek name like “Dress to Slimpress” or “Award Thinners”.

While most celebrities like to keep their Spanx well hidden, the new range – which is being sold on their website – is seemingly designed to be seen.

There’s leather-look leggings, as well as faux-suede-panelled shapers, which aim to add a dazzling star touch.

The collection is available on Spanx website, spanx.com, and macys.com.

The brand have also unveiled a bra to tackle the dreaded “back fat bulge” and are set to launch a line of loungewear on QVC later this year.

Previously a red carpet secret, Spanx are now proudly worn by A-listers such as Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, Gwyneth Paltrow, Princess Beatrice, Jessica Alba and Beyonce.

Even tiny-waisted Rochelle from the Saturdays admitted to wearing them under her wedding dress last year.

But now the world’s best-known brand of big knickers have unveiled a summer selection that won’t make you sweat on a warm day.

Vanessa Lachey has revealed that she put on 65 lbs whilst pregnant with her son Camden.

In the nine months since he was born, Vanessa Lachey has since shed the weight.

Vanessa Lachey, 32, says she did not do it with the help of a fad diet or crazed exercise regime.

She says she simply just “let it happen” and that happiness is the key to her healthy lifestyle.

“I gained, I think, 65 pounds when I was pregnant,” Vanessa Lachey said in an interview with HuffPo Live.

“And I will say to moms out there, <<Don’t stress about losing it. It will happen when it happens>>.

“Cam’s 9 months, so it’s been a minute, and we’re working, and we’re traveling, and it’s just about maintaining a happy, healthy lifestyle, not obsessing about it.”

Vanessa Lachey stresses that the “get thin quick” tactic is a waste of time and new mothers should more be concentrating on and spending time with their newborns.

“I think that’s one thing I would like to convey to moms everywhere,” she continued.

“It’s not about this <<get skinny quick>> diet or these fads. Just enjoy time being a mom. You’ve just had this wonderful, magical moment, and you shouldn’t be stressing about that kind of stuff.”
But Vanessa Lachey does rave about the slimming effects of Spanx, praising the individual who created them in the process.

“If you’re really worried, Spanx are amazing,” she joked.

“Thank you to the inventor of that.”

Vanessa also took time out in the interview to praise her husband 98 Degrees singer Nick Lachey.

“He was born to be a daddy,” she said.

Vanessa Lachey has been in the audience several times when her husband has performed with his boy band 98 Degrees, who are currently on tour with Boyz II Men and New Kids on the Block for The Package Tour.

Adele’s stylist has spilled the secrets to her sartorial success, revealing hold-in underwear is the key to the star’s confidence.

Speaking in an interview with the Sunday Mirror, Gaelle Paul said: “She always wears Spanx on the red carpet. Good underwear is really important, it smoothes you out.”

Adele, who welcomed son Angelo into the world in October 2012, certainly isn’t lacking in the confidence stakes, with Gaelle Paul explaining the Londoner doesn’t suffer from the same “insecurities” which plague other stars.

The Los Angeles-based fashionista added: “Adele is really OK with how she looks. I don’t think she ever lacked confidence. She doesn’t have that insecurity that a lot of other people I dress have.”

However, it doesn’t look as though Adele will be stepping away from her love of black anytime soon.

Gaelle Paul explained: “Adele always wants to wear black because she loves Johnny Cash and he wore black. She also loves June Carter Cash because she and Johnny were so much in love and they had this wonderful marriage.

“Sometimes she’ll look at herself in the mirror and say, <<Oh I look like her, Gaelle!>>.”

Adele, 25, has previously explained she refuses to be worn down by pressure to be thin, and would rather enjoy her life than worry too much about what she looks like.

The singer said: “I’ve seen people where it rules their lives, who want to be thinner or have bigger b**bs, and how it wears them down. And I don’t want that in my life.

“I have insecurities, of course, but I don’t hang out with anyone who points them out to me.

“My life is full of drama and I won’t have time to worry about something as petty as what I look like. I don’t like going to the gym. I like eating fine foods and drinking nice wine.”

Kourtney Kardashian accidentally flashed a pair of Spanx when she stepped out for lunch in Miami on Sunday.

As she was dressed in a beach cover-up due to the warm weather, Kourtney Kardashian’s shapewear was visible when she turned to the side.

She’s not the only one who is a fan of Spanx as her sisters Kim and Khloe Kardashian have also been spotted using the underwear to smooth out any lumps and bumps.

Kourtney Kardashian, 33, in fact had flashed a similar pair of the nude underwear during a photo shoot last week.

The star had been getting set to pose in a green gown when a gust of wind caused her to have something of a Marilyn Monroe moment.

But it was a slightly less glamorous affair on Sunday as she headed for a meal with her partner Scott Disick and their two children Mason and Penelope.

Kourtney Kardashian carried little Penelope, who was shielded by a blanket, in a convertible car seat while Scott Disick took charge of 3-year-old Mason.

The reality star showed off her legs as she headed into the Florida eatery in her white and gold printed cover-up, which she teamed with matching flip flops and large round sunglasses.

The previous evening the happy couple had been seen going for a spin on Scott Disick’s black scooter.

Super-Spanx Objective 1 Size Down, the latest shapewear from Playtex, not only promises to clinch you in and smooth you out, but its makers claim it will zap your cellulite and make you drop a dress size, too.

Objective 1 Size Down pants contain mysterious-sounding “acti-mineral ceramic crystals”, which are woven into the fabric and apparently improve microciculation by giving your thighs and bottom a continuous massage as you walk around.

But do these new wonder pants work? Could they help us to drop a dress size by wearing them every day for a month?

For a start, these are no ordinary knickers to look at or wear. They certainly make their presence felt.

Objective 1 Size Down pants cost $60, which seems a small price to pay for dimple-free thighs and a svelte waist. But having to wear them for 28 days (this is how long the makers claim it takes to notice the effects) means quite a few pairs are required. Luckily, their mighty flab-holding power withstands the rigors of the washing machine.

Kim Kardashian denied that she wore a shapewear garment beneath the black Stella McCartney dress she was spotted in two nights ago in Paris.

Kim Kardashian, 31, wrote on her blog yesterday: “That’s exactly how I bought it with those nude panels inside. So no Spanx here!”

Despite her denial, the reality star has long proved a fan of shapewear.

Kim Kardashian has been photographed on several occasions flashing versions of Spanx-like garments underneath her clothing.

The nude material, or something very similar to a Spanx product, was spotted wrapped around her upper thigh as she stepped out in a black and white dress for a business meeting in Los Angeles in March.

It had happened just one month prior when the star had been photographed attending a church service.

Although Kim Kardashian may have not intentionally set out to criticize the multi-million dollar brand, Spanx defended its products as a response to her denial.

A spokesman for the company wrote in a letter to Racked.com that its customers should proudly let their “Spanx shape show!”

The statement continued: “Whether it’s a Slimmer & Shine slip or a Stella McCartney dress with a Spanx-inspired liner, we say let your Spanx show.”

Many had assumed that Kim Kardashian had again worn the shapewear, only this time underneath the Stella McCartney dress as a familiar beige garment peeked out from beneath it.

Furthermore, the dress has been spotted without the beige underlay on multiple celebrities in recent times, such as Gisele Bundchen, Kate Winslet and Vogue Japan editor Anna Dello Russo, which further grew suspicion.

According to Kim Kardashian, she received the dress with the beige panel already attached to it.

She said: “I wore this gorgeous polka dot Stella McCartney dress out yesterday and I’ve seen some publications saying I’m flashing my Spanx or control underwear underneath the dress.

“Stella made a full collection with these sheer panels on the side, and this is how my dress came. Xo”

Coco Perez, the gossip website, had first made note of the beige garment beneath the black dress.

The post was titled: That’s Not How You Wear Spanx, Kim.

It read: “Kim Kardashian flashed more than just her underpants in Paris on Monday, she flashed her whole damn Spanx!”
