Mally, Justin Bieber’s pet monkey, has reportedly been handed over to a zoo to keep after the singer failed to collect him in time.
The capuchin monkey was seized by German customs in March when Justin Bieber, 19, failed to produce the required vaccination and import papers after landing in Munich for a European tour.
Authorities issued an order this week transferring ownership of the animal to Germany after Justin Bieber missed a deadline to send the documents, customs spokesman Thomas Meister said.
Mally, now 20 weeks old, was being cared for at Munich’s animal shelter. He has fared well and gained weight and even got a visit Tuesday from Germany’s environment minister.
“We are going to make sure that Mally can grow up appropriately for its species,” said minister Peter Altmaier.
The shelter has criticized Justin Bieber for keeping such a young monkey as a pet, saying it shouldn’t have been taken away from its mother until it was a year old. Experts say capuchin monkeys also need to be kept in groups, not alone.
“Monkeys are very sociable animals,” Peter Altmaier added.
“That’s why we’re going to take Mally to a place where he can live safely and in the company of others.”

Reports claim Mally is already living at a zoo in Germany, although the exact location hasn’t been confirmed in a bid to keep the primate safe and avoid security problems.
Thomas Meister said a bill for Mally’s care – which he estimated to be several thousand euros (dollars) – would be sent to Justin Bieber.
Justin Bieber has six weeks to contest the decision.

The document, entitled a Liability Waiver and Release, bans anyone from posting details, photos or recordings of inside his house on social-networking sites or other media.
Guests will be forbidden from talking about the “physical health, or the philosophical, spiritual or other views or characteristics” of Justin Bieber and his guests.
Anyone is breaks the ban, will face a lawsuit seeking $5 million in damages.

A startling number of teen girls have admitted to having a schoolgirl crush on Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, proclaiming their love for the Boston Marathon bombing suspect on social media.
It’s a disturbing trend on sites like Twitter and Facebook, where girls have admitted to finding Dzhokhar Tsarnaev attractive, and herald him in the ranks of Justin Bieber and One Direction singer Harry Styles.
One Twitter user, a waitress who goes by the name Keepitblunted, has said she is looking to get a tattoo of a Dzhokhar Tsarnaev quote.
“If you have the knowledge and the inspiration all that’s left is to take action.”
The quote was tweeted by Dzhokhar Tsarnaev on April 8, a week before the Boston Marathon bombings.
She has since gone back on her promise, posting that she has decided to hold off “out of respect of my family’s wishes”.
But the young woman, named Alisha, told the New York Post that she’s not among the group of women who are interested in the case against Dzhokhar Tsarnaev because she’s in love with him.
She told the paper: “Somebody needs to stand up for him, and not the little high-school girls who just think he’s cute.”
The FreeJahar97 Twitter account was created on April 25 – 10 days after the double bombing.
The first tweet reads: “any other beliebers out there who want to see Jahar freed and believe he is innocent? feel like i’m all alone here.. #freejahar.”
Another says she is considering becoming a Muslim to better related to Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
“I know I didn’t know Jahar and I shouldn’t be saying this but… I miss Jahar… Is that weird? Don’t think I’m weird. I just miss him.”

A teen who goes by the Twitter handle Wildziall, says: “I wonder what jahar is thinking about right now.”
In another, she said: “My little brother just said he would cover for me if I snuck out of the house to meet up with jahar I love him.”
Meanwhile, a Facebook group that sprung up shortly after the bombings, “Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is innocent”, has more than 8,000 followers.
The group, loaded with conspiracy theories and proclamations of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s innocence, is by invitation only.
Vocal fans of the “Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is Innocent” Facebook group have claimed that neither Tsarnaev’s brother, Tamerlan, was responsible for the Boston bombing.
Instead, they say, a government-funded group of mercenaries from a private company staged the event and framed the Chechen pair.
The company they accuse, Craft International, trains military and police teams through tactical and combat scenarios. Its founder, retired Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, wrote the best-selling book American Sniper and recorded the most career sniper kills in United States military history.
Chris Kyle was killed in February at a Texas gun range, by a fellow veteran struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder.

Justin Bieber was the victim of a sophisticated Ocean’s Eleven style cash heist while performing in South Africa on Sunday evening.
Thieves have reportedly stolen more than one million rand ($100,000) in takings after a Justin Bieber concert at Johannesburg’s Soccer City stadium.
The gang, armed with ropes, hammers and chisels, broke into a strongroom, according to local media and police.
Officials at the stadium, which hosted the 2010 World Cup final, only realized the cash was missing on Monday morning.
The haul included takings from the Justin Bieber concert and a gig the previous evening by rockers Bon Jovi.

“The money was taken from the building and they only realized today,” said a police officer from Booysens police station in Soweto.

They then lowered themselves by rope into a room used to store cash and escaped undetected.

Justin Bieber, 19, is said to have become aggressive when he was asked to tone down his erratic driving because it was disturbing residents in the area.
According to TMZ, the singer’s neighbor – who is a 47-year-old successful businessman and father-of-three – filed a complaint to the local Sheriff’s deputies about Justin Bieber’s unacceptable behavior.

However, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s spokesperson Steve Whitmore said the claim was being taken seriously.
