Mia Robertson, the daughter of Duck Dynasty’s stars Jase and Missy Robertson, went under the knife on Friday to treat a cleft issue on her face.
Missy and Jase Robertson have been using Facebook to keep friends, family and fans up to date on the Mia’s progress.
“Almost done with all the pre-op appointments today. Was just told by one of the doctors that she was impressed with how well Mia is prepared for this major bone graft procedure for her cleft,” Missy Robertson wrote on Thursday.
“Surgery tomorrow at 11 a.m. We’re ready! God’s got this.”
Just after the surgery began, Missy Robertson shared a picture of a great many family members gathered at Mia’s bedside.

Noticeably absent were Mia’s grandparents Phil and Miss Kay, as well as her Uncle Willie.
“Surgeon’s [sic] has been working on Mia for about 5 minutes,” Missy Robertson captioned the photo.
“They tell us she’s doing great! Here we all are right before she was wheeled away. Thanks for the prayers.”
About an hour after that, Missy Robertson came back with another update: “Great news! All went well. <<Textbook>> is the word the surgeon used. We are praising God and waiting to go see our baby girl. Thank you for all the prayers!!!!”
Jase Robertson took to Facebook with his own message of appreciation, as well, writing:“I really appreciate the outpouring of support, thoughts and prayers for Mia. Out of surgery, doing great, considering. #Blessed.”

Duck Dynasty Season 3 premieres across Asia on January 9 at 9 p.m. western Indonesian time zone, on A & E Network’s History channel.
The opening episode sees the Robertson family going on their traditional camping trip the night before duck season, and is followed back-to-back by episode two, which charts Willie Robertson’s attempt to lose weight via any means possible, from yoga classes to chopping firewood.

The interview with Duck Dynasty’s Willie and Korie Robertson on Fox News Channel appears to have given a welcome jolt to the network’s New Year’s Eve coverage.
All-American New Year’s Eve on Tuesday put Fox News ahead of CNN’s rival New Year’s Eve Live in total viewers, in the period from 11 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
This included Bill Hemmer and Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s interview with Willie and Korie Robertson, which helped FNC gain considerable boosts over the previous year.
The special aired from 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. and averaged 1.7 million total viewers, compared to the 1.4 million that the CNN offering, co-hosted by Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin, averaged.
In the key news demo, however, CNN’s New Year’s Eve offering still came out on top, averaging 584,000 viewers to the 329,000 that Fox’s offering averaged.

In the demo, All-American New Year’s Eve averaged 413,000 total viewers during that time period, a 19% boost over the previous year.
Even so, CNN bested Fox in that time period, averaging 2.095 million total viewers and 906,000 in the demo – though those numbers were down 11% and 4%, respectively, from the previous year.

Duck Dynasty family has launched their own line of guns in collaboration with gunmaker Mossberg.
Mossberg has teamed with Duck Commander, the company owned by Duck Dynasty family, to release nine different shotguns, as well as two semiautomatic rifles and a semiautomatic pistol.
The gunmaker has begun shipping some of the shotguns to distributors, according to spokeswoman Linda Powell. She declined to name specific retailers that will carry them.
Phil Robertson founded Duck Commander 40 years ago.

The Robertson family business in Louisiana sells duck calls as well as hunting DVDs and clothing through Wal-Mart and other retailers. Duck Dynasty brand has already been affixed to everything from action figures and door mats to wine, (produced by the Trinchero Family Estates) as well as books about cooking and religion.
Mossberg says the Duck Commander guns will come in a “waterfowl pattern” camouflage design, though not all of them are intended for duck hunting. They also bear the Duck Commander logo, of a duck in flight.
The pistol and one of the rifles have military-style designs with large capacity magazines holding at least 25 rounds. The rifle has some of the features of an assault rifle, but with a relatively low .22 caliber.
Mossberg’s website says its .22-caliber pistol is “perfect for small game, plinking, target shooting – or clearing cottonmouths out of your duck blind.”
The firearms will all come with an American flag bandana like the one worn by Willie Robertson.

In one of his first chances to comment on the controversy surrounding his father and co-star Phil Robertson, Willie Robertson had only kind words for the A&E network and New Year’s wishes for the nation.
“We’re just glad to be back to work, and A&E and us are fine,” Willie Robertson said in a live appearance with his wife Korie Robertson from Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
Hosts Bill Hemmer and Elizabeth Hasselbeck gave Willie Robertson several chances to address the firestorm surrounding the suspension of his father over anti-gay comments, but without quite ducking the question, the rsality star chose not to take the bait either.

The network is reversing its suspension of Phil Robertson, which was imposed last week after his inflammatory comments about gay and black people made. The network’s decision clears the way for the entire Robertson family to resume filming the highly lucrative program this spring.
“While Phil’s comments made in the interview reflect his personal views based on his own beliefs, and his own personal journey, he and his family have publicly stated they regret the <<coarse language>> he used and the misinterpretation of his core belief based solely on the article,” A&E executives said in a statement.

“I am glad to hear that the folks at A&E came to their senses and recognized that tolerance of religious views is more important than political correctness,” Bobby Jindal said in a statement.
“Today is a good day for the freedoms of speech and religious liberty.”

Cracker Barrel removed Duck Dynasty items from its shelves and then put them back Sunday after customers protested, according to a Cracker Barrel news release.
Jesse Jackson Sr. and the leaders of the other groups are demanding a sit-down meeting with Cracker Barrel and A&E in the next couple of days.
“It is unacceptable that a personality who has been given such a large platform would benefit from racist and anti-gay comments,” Jesse Jackson Sr. said in the release.

It appears that those who type IStandWithPhil.com receive the following message: “Oops! A URL in your Tweet appears to link to a page that has spammy or unsafe content.”
The Christian group Faith Driven Consumer, which is behind the IStandWithPhil.com page, said a petition at the site has yielded 200,000 signatures in less than four days.
The group said Twitter has also shut down two other pro-Phil Robertson social media accounts.

The group notes that a Google page diagnostic of the site indicates it “is not currently listed as suspicious” and that “this has not hosted malicious software over the past 90 days”.
When it complained to Twitter, the group said, it received a boilerplate message saying Twitter “has systems that blocks [sic] the posting of suspected harmful URLs in order to make Twitter safer and more secure for our users. … Even if Google’s diagnostic report of the URL is clean, we may decide to continue blocking the URL on Twitter as potentially harmful”.

Louisiana’s Lieutenant Governor Jay Dardenne says Duck Dynasty reality show is important to state tourism and he could help connect the Robertson family with new producers if they cannot reach agreement with A&E Networks.

“Regardless of one’s views on Phil Robertson’s statements, Duck Dynasty has been an important representation of the state of Louisiana, inspiring prospective visitors and investors since its debut,” Lt. Governor Jay Dardenne said in a statement emailed Saturday.
Duck Dynasty is produced around the Robertson family’s home base in Ouachita Parish. KNOE-TV of Monroe reported in February that the show was bringing people from around the country who wouldn’t otherwise stop in northeast Louisiana. The Duck Commander warehouse has become a tourist attraction, said Alana Cooper, director of the Monroe-West Monroe Visitors and Convention Bureau.

The Robertson family patriarch added: “I love all men and women. I am a lover of humanity, not a hater.”
He then led the group in prayer and shared: “I will not give or back off from my path because you conquered death, Father, so we are not worried about all the repercussions.”
Phil Robertson made no direct mention of A&E Networks, which placed him on hiatus from filming “indefinitely”.

Less than two days after Cracker Barrel announced plans to withdraw selected Duck Dynasty items from its shelves in the wake of Phil Robertson’s anti-gay comments, the Southern country store and restaurant chain has reversed its decision.
Cracker Barrel’s reversal of its former position was posted this morning to Facebook, following a flurry of negative responses from customers and fans who showed support to Phil Robertson and Duck Dynasty family.
“When we made the decision to remove and evaluate certain Duck Dynasty items, we offended many of our loyal customers. Our intent was to avoid offending, but that’s just what we’ve done,” Cracker Barrel wrote.
“You flat out told us we were wrong. We listened.”

“People weren’t shy. They wrote, called and took to social media,” Cracker Barrel’s spokesman Jeff Eller told ABC News about the company’s decision to go back on its original pledge to ax “selected products” from its stores.
The restaurant was the first major retailer to announce its stance on the Duck Dynasty scandal since Phil Robertson’s remarks went public.
A statement posted on Cracker Barrel’s Facebook page read: “Cracker Barrel’s mission is pleasing people. We operate within the ideals of fairness, mutual respect and equal treatment of all people. These ideals are the core of our corporate culture.”
The Facebook post indicated the company would continue to sell some Duck Commander products in stores, but would continue to “evaluate the products we offer.”
The announcement on Sunday confirmed the company will be reinstating all Duck Dynasty products back into its stores.
Phil Robertson has been put on hiatus by A&E Network after he made anti-gay comments in an interview with GQ magazine.
Phil Robertson’s comments received mixed reactions from the show’s millions of fans, with politicians and gay rights groups also weighing in on the issue.
Hours after the interview went public and Phil Robertson was suspended, a Facebook page popped up encouraging fans to boycott the network until the family patriarch returned. The page now has over 1.7 million likes.
Phil Robertson’s suspension has also prompted an outcry from conservative Republican politicians, including Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, Senator Ted Cruz of Texas and Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal.
