Wednesday’s episode of Duck Dynasty showed Willie Robertson and the Duck Commander crew preparing for an all-nighter to fill a shipment order at the warehouse.
“Why aren’t y’all working?” Willie Robertson asked when he saw that the duck call crafters were goofing off, again, during work hours.
“The point is we’ve got to get the work done then we can play.”
As usual, the guys completely ignored their boss and went on to deal with more important things such as is Uncle Si just like MacGyver.
“Everybody knows [MacGyver] was the ultimate redneck,” said Si Robertson.
Jase Robertson got his payback when Willie fell asleep and they drew think eyebrows with permanent marker on the CEO’s face
“Kind of like me.”
“It’s borderline embarrassing the real reason Willie is volunteering his help is because he feels like the odd one out,” Jase Robertson said in frustration at his younger brother’s need to fit in with the group.
“Having [Willie Robertson] around here, it’s like having your mom at the prom. It’s cramping my style.”
Jase Robertson got his payback when Willie fell asleep and they drew think eyebrows with permanent marker on the CEO’s face.
“Willie missed out on a fey key developments while he was asleep,” joked Jase Robertson.
“When you fall asleep bad things happen.”
“People always say be careful what you wish for, you might just get it,” Willie Robertson said.
“Lucky for us, Robertsons have extremely thick skin.”
“So it doesn’t matter if you end being the butt of the jokes you want to be a part of,” he continued.
“Or your scary story plan backfires into some whip cream into your face. You’ve got to find the humor underneath.”
“As long as everyone including you gets a good laugh out of it, the wish wasn’t completely wasted.”
Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson revealed he might have faith in something a bit more supernatural.
“Once upon a time a long time ago, I was in the dark woods and I heard this sound,” Phil Robertson told his granddaughters in effort to scare them to sleep during a sleepover.
“It sounded like a big animal and I could growls and grunts.”
“Was it Bigfoot?” Miss Kay Robertson interjected.
“I didn’t know at the time but whatever it is it sounds very, very bad,” Phil Robertson continued.
“So I get my gun ready and you know what it was? It was Uncle Si.”
Although the story frightened the girls, they refused to go to bed and it wasn’t long until Phil Robertson dozed off himself.

In true redneck spirit, Miss Kay Robertson and her granddaughters, Mia and Priscilla, sprayed whip cream all over their sleeping grandfather.
While Phil Robertson was able to forgive the girls for their prank, he was upset to see them painting their nails.
“That’ll rot your brain,” he told Mia and Priscilla.
“You’ve ever seen a dead animal in the road? That’s the way your brain looks.”
“Don’t call our grandkids road kill please,” Miss Kay Robertson said.
“When you have a chemical concoction that you’re putting on your fingernails, I would be a little suspect of moving that fingernail towards a booger.”
While Phil and Miss Kay Robertson had their hands full with restless grandchildren, Willie and the Duck Commander crew were preparing for an all-nighter to fill a shipment order at the warehouse.
Sources close to Duck Dynasty cast revealed that family patriarch Phil Robertson is jealous of his brother Si’s popularity.
“Phil is just plain fit to be tied that Si has become the most favorite Robertson with fans of the show, and it’s driven a wedge between them,” a Robertson family friend told the National Enquirer.
Tensions brewed when A&E executives floated the idea of Si Robertson getting his own spinoff TV show – and he decided to think it over.
“When SI didn’t immediately reject the idea, Phil blew a fuse because he’s got plans to ditch A&E altogether and do his own show where he can preach the gospel all he wants without producers interfering,” said the source.
It appears Phil Robertson is jealous of his brother Si Robertson’s popularity
“Phil’s already rich and not interested in money, he just wants to have more control over his message. But now Si is throwing a monkey wrench into his plans by considering A&E’s idea of him doing his own show.”
Si Robertson, 65, wasn’t even supposed to be on Duck Dynasty in the first place.
“He tagged along to one of the meetings with A&E producers and they really liked his personality,” said the source.
“So they decided to sign him up. Then his popularity just took off, and that got under Phil’s skin. The feud is actually quite troubling to both of them. Phil is Si’s big brother and has always looked after him. When Si came out of the Army after 20 years and really didn’t have any direction, Phil hired him to work for his Duck Commander business.
“For now, everyone’s just hoping they can make peace.”
Duck Dynasty’s Willie Robertson will join Louisiana Rep. Vance McAllister during the State of the Union address on Tuesday.
Willie Robertson had endorsed Vance McAllister during his Congressional bid.
The CEO of Duck Commander appeared in a TV ad advising voters to “send somebody from the 5th District who speaks for us to help turn Washington around”.
Vance McAllister, a wealthy Louisiana businessman, was elected in November.

He had also scored an endorsement from Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson, whose anti-gay remarks earned him a short-lived suspension from the A&E show.
“I am proud to have my close friend, constituent and small business owner, Willie Robertson, attend tonight’s State of the Union Address as my special guest,” Vance McAllister said in a statement about his choice of guest for his first State of the Union.
“Willie is thankful for this opportunity and honored to attend. I look forward to the two of us representing the Fifth District in DC this evening and bringing some diversity to our nation’s capitol.”

Duck Dynasty fans were treated to a Si Robertson takeover on last night’s episode.
Uncle Si Robertson strapped a camera on top of a war helmet to give viewers a point-of-view look into the life of Si.
“Gentlemen, I present Si-vision,” said Jase Robertson.
“From this moment on, okay hey, the truth will be known,” Si Robertson announced to the camera.
“No one will be able to look at Si Robertson again with a crooked eye and say, <<Hey! That guy’s head ain’t on right>>.”
Si Robertson wanted to make sure his viewers were able to get a complete look into the Si experience so he strapped a second camera to his chest.
“I’ve got one camera looking at me and then I’ve got another one on my chest where you can see what a shorter version of me sees,” he explained.
One person who definitely would not be tuning in was Jase Robertson.
“This is going to get real old fast,” he said.
“This is gonna be what they call a classic,” Si Robertson said very confidently.
“This is all nonfiction Jack. Hey look! You can’t make this stuff up.”
Uncle Si Robertson strapped a camera on top of a war helmet to give viewers a point-of-view look into the life of Si
But what started off as a “duck-umentary” of one man, navigating life as a duck call maker, somehow turned into a war movie.
“I know I said it would be a documentary about my life,” he admitted.
“Now it’s turning into an epic war movie.”
Sick of Si Robertson’s crazy antics, Jase, Jep and their Duck Commander coworkers Justin Martin and John Godwin set off on a long-awaited hunting trip and reluctantly brought along their uncle.
“Whenever hunting season rolls around, let just say it’s pretty difficult to focus on work,” said Jase.
But before they could head out for the hunt, Si Robertson had to take a bathroom break, which he of course filmed.
“In goes the good tea, out goes the bad tea,” Uncle Si said on camera.
“Can we go hunting now or are we going to sit around and talk about what happened or what didn’t happen in the Vietnam War?” Jase Robertson asked Uncle Si.
Once finally in the great outdoors, Si Robertson managed to turn what should have been a hunting trip into an episode of Oprah Winfrey.
“Speak into my chest and let’s get it off of your chest,” Si Robertson said as he asked Jase to share his feelings with him on camera.
“Bring the real Jason Robertson forward.”
“I don’t share my feelings with mad men,” Jase Robertson responded.
“That’s your problem,” explained Uncle Si.
“Treat me like Oprah.”
Jase Robertson began to notice that his Uncle was starting to get out of hand with the whole filming everything thing.
“Once you start comparing yourself to Oprah, things get uncomfortable just like a nature calling amongst a cactus thicket,” said Jase Robertson.
Si Robertson’s documenting started to scare off all of the deer so he was kicked out of the duck blind. It was either that or his Oprah comment.
“This deer hunting movie [has] turned into a survival movie” he said as he exited the blind.
“That’s what happens when you’re comrade desert you.”
Phil Robertson wouldn’t stand for his sibling’s shenanigans.
“You need to turn that mess off Si, and get back to reality,” Phil Robertson told Uncle Si.
One Direction’s Liam Payne lashed out at some journalists and bloggers over the weekend, calling them “bastards” for twisting a friendly tweet he sent to Duck Dynasty star Willie Robertson into Phil Robertson anti-gay scandal.

The dustup began when Liam Payne tweeted Willie Robertson in praise of his “family values” and to inform him he was a fan of his business prowess and of the Duck Dynasty reality show, prompting some to presume the pop star was endorsing dad Phil Robertson’s famous anti-gay view.

Si Robertson’s wife, Christine, was finally mentioned by name on Duck Dynasty Season 5 premiere.
Few details were known about Si Robertson’s wife, but, on the season premiere, there was a scene where Miss Kay asked Uncle Si where Christine was. He responded that she was out of town with friends.
Although Christine Robertson had chosen not to participate in the filming of the reality series about the Robertsons, fans have made every attempt to find out what they can about her and the rest of Uncle Si’s family.
Christine and Si Robertson are married for 43 years and they have two children
Christine and Si Robertson are married for 43 years and they have together a son, Scott, and a daughter, Trasa Cobern, who are not featured on Duck Dynasty.
It is not known whether this casual introduction of Christine Robertson to the audience is an indicator she may be featured in Duck Dynasty’s future episodes.

Duck Dynasty returned to lower viewership than its previous two premieres after Phil Robertson controversy in December.
Duck Dynasty Season 5 premiere had 8.5 million viewers. That’s huge for a cable reality show, but down 28% from its record-setting fourth season debut in August (11.8 million). It’s also slightly down from the show’s Season 3 premiere in February 2013 (8.6 million).
A&E notes the number up slightly from the fourth season finale on October 23.
Duck Dynasty returned to lower viewership than its previous two premieres after Phil Robertson controversy
Duck Dynasty provoked a heated controversy in December after Phil Robertson criticize gays during a GQ magazine interview, as well as made inflammatory comments about blacks during the Civil Rights era.
Last night’s episode and most of the rest of the current season was shot before the controversy. Presumably because of the controversy, the Robertson clan and producers were not made available for media interviews to promote the new season.
Duck Dynasty came back the same night as Fox’s American Idol, which was also down.

Uncle Si Robertson is sick, so he has planted his “microbe” infested body on Phil’s couch to be taken care of by Miss Kay.
Si Robertson has also brought every single movie in the Air Bud franchise.
“Look, I’m a connoisseur when it comes to animal sports movies – Air Bud is an epic classic,” Si Robertson says.
“It blows Rudy out of the water … it makes Field of Dreams look like Rookie of the Year.”
Phil Robertson can’t agree because it’s too unrealistic. He prefers the Bourne series.
Uncle Si Robertson organized an age-inappropriate treasure hunt for Jep’s kids
There was also a lot of talk of microbes throughout the two episodes. Phil Robertson thinks Uncle Si is a hypochondriac who has claimed to have everything from bird flu to sausage fingers.
In the second part of the show, Phil Robertson has his own bizarre microbe philosophies.
Jep Robertson says his father used to expose them to microbes all the time to build up immunities. Phil Robertson suggests Jep do the same for his kids by having them go outside and throw dung at each other.
Meanwhile, Uncle Si organized an age-inappropriate treasure hunt for Jep’s kids that was as confusing to its participants as it was to the audience. It culminated in digging up candy buried in what appeared to be a grave site.

On Duck Dynasty Season 5 premiere night, the bearded Robertson clan was debating the artistic superiority of the Air Bud versus Jason Bourne film franchise.
There was also contention surrounding the merits of group texting and emojis.
Jase, Jep, Phil, Willie and John Luke Robertson went on a hunting excursion. But they aren’t talking ducks. Rather they were in deep debate about all things texting related.
Jase Robertson said: “Group texts are the worst. They’re like a terrible technological snowball coming down a mountain and you can’t stop it… What was the original conversation? No one knows. No one cares. Stop having a conversation on my phone.”
This naturally led to discussion of emojis, of which John Luke Robertson is also a fan.

“Like smiley faces and people – animals sometimes,” he said.
John Luke Robertson continued to discuss emojis with his father Willie after duck hunting is over, saying: “There are all kinds of emojis.”
Willie Robertson asked: “What’s that? A bearded guy?”
John Luke answered: “That’s a monkey.”
Duck Dynasty’s newcomer Rebecca Robertson told John Luke that guys don’t really emoji.

Duck Dynasty Season 5 premiered last night on A&E with two episodes.
Viewers were introduced to Rebecca Robertson, a Taiwanese foreign exchange student that Willie and his wife Korie adopted 10 years ago.
Rebecca Robertson, 24, studied fashion in LA, but then came back to Louisiana for what Willie thought was a visit. But when Rebecca brings a million suitcases and a French bull dog, it’s clear that this isn’t a two-day trip. Rebecca, however, is welcomed home with open arms and a planned out surprise party — the Robertson men bought a banner that says “Congratulations” instead of “Welcome Home” because it was on sale.

The other new character is a family member of Korie Robertson. John David is Willie’s new assistant who Jase Robertson said only got hired because: “He just wanted someone heavier and hairier so that he would look better by comparison.”
At first there’s tension in the workplace — John David wears flip flops, brings lukewarm donuts, and doesn’t know how to blow a duck call — but he makes up for it after he buys the team a new basketball.
John David won a place in Willie’s heart because he can recite Nacho Libre ad nauseam.

Rebecca Robertson, 24, wrote in a blog post earlier this year: “Welcome to the Duck & Dressing blog! It’s a new year and just wanted to start a new adventure so that maybe I can share some of the fun behind the scenes stuff that goes on around the store and also share some of the styles that we are featuring. We’ve been working around the clock getting the store running but we’ve been having some fun too!”

Rebecca Robertson, 24, has remained off-screen up until now, but she’s decided to step in front of cameras this year.
Becca came to the family as an exchange student from Taiwan, and eventually, Willie and Korie Robertson took her in full-time as a foster child.

Duckhorn Wine Company has filed a trademark lawsuit against Duck Commander, Inc., Trinchero Family Estates and Wal-Mart.
The suit claims Duck Commander wines violate the trademark of Duckhorn Vineyards.
Duckhorn has a history of going after wineries that dare to use a duck in their names or labels.
The Napa Valley winery is going after the Duck Dynasty folks because they’ve used the word “Duck” and an image of a duck on their wines.
Duckhorn Wine Company has filed a trademark lawsuit against Duck Commander wines
In November, the Robertson family collaborated with Trinchero Family Estates to produce three wines from California grapes: Triple Threat red blend, Wood Duck chardonnay and Miss Priss pink moscato.
“We decided to create Duck Commander Robertson Family Wines because we know that many of our customers and our viewers choose to celebrate family moments with wine,” Duck Commander CEO Willie Robertson said at the time.
The St. Helena winery, which produces wines that largely sell for $50 and up, has taken on a number of what it deems to be trademark violators in recent years, although not always successfully.
“It turns out that Duckhorn doesn’t own the word <<duck>>,” said Jay Behmke, an intellectual property attorney at Santa Rosa law firm Carle, Mackie, Power & Ross.
“I know that Duckhorn has an interest in trademarks, and I’ve seen their interest, but there are a lot of duck trademarks, so they don’t have an exclusive on that.”
Duckhorn took aim at Duck Pond Cellars in Oregon in the mid ‘90s, but that case settled. Greg Fries, president of Duck Pond Cellars, confirmed the case was resolved, but said he was bound by the settlement not to comment.
Duck Dynasty reality show is adding another face to the Robertson clan in 2014, Willie and Korie’s foster daughter Rebecca.

Vietnam veteran Robert Anderson has taken aim at Duck Dynasty products on sale at a Veterans Affairs Medical Center store in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
It looks like all the items in Robert Anderson’s cross hairs will be removed from the canteen’s shelves.
Robert Anderson is one of many people upset over GQ magazine interview in which Phil Robertson made comments they found racist and homophobic.
On December 27, Robert Anderson – who served in the Air Force in Vietnam in the 1960s – wrote to the canteen that he was “greatly offend[ed] that the Veterans Administration Patriot Store would sell items promoting an entertainment group that clearly stands for racism and bigotry”.
“The reactionary views incorporated into the Duck Dynasty group are contrary to the policies and mission of the VA medical system to not discriminate among veterans based on race or gender,” he continued.
“Please remove these ugly divisive items immediately.”
Duck Dynasty products on sale at Veterans Affairs Medical Center store came under fire in Albuquerque
A few days later, in an email to the US Department of Veterans Affairs, Robert Anderson urged quick action “to remove the racist and bigoted products” from Veterans Affairs canteens. On Monday, the Central New Mexico Community College instructor said he was still waiting to hear back from the national office.
Last week, Debra Abeyta, assistant chief of Canteen 501 in Albuquerque, advised Robert Anderson that she, too, was “very upset by the racist remarks made” by Phil Robertson, adding: “We here at the canteen service in no way promote such ideas and have taken steps to remove the product from the store.”
Debra Abeyta said Monday that the canteen ordered the items before the controversy erupted over Phil Robertson’s comments.
“[We] are doing all we can to get [the product] out of our stores,” she said.
Already, Debra Abeyta said, the canteen had persuaded the distributor of Duck Dynasty DVDs to take them all back and give the store credit. The canteen drastically slashed prices on other items to get rid of them but was trying to “cut our losses as much as possible.”
Phil Robertson, 67, also has come under fire for advising men to wed Bible-carrying teenage girls who can cook.
Mia Robertson, the daughter of Duck Dynasty stars Jase and Missy Robertson, has been released from hospital after cleft surgery.
According to her mother, Missy Robertson, Mia is recovering at home and already has an appetite.

“Mia is home and resting well. Already had 2 helpings of homemade spaghetti sauce, diluted and blended, but still tasty. #MissKaysRecipe #Mmm,” tweeted Missy Robertson from her official Twitter account.
Mia Robertson’s surgery was a success according to her father, Jase Robertson. The child was surrounded by family before the operation and she is still being treasured even after coming home.
Duck Dynasty’s Missy Robertson has launched her first clothing line in collaboration with Southern Fashion House.
“I felt there was a void in the market for busy, working moms who want to look put together without having to put a lot of effort into it while staying modest and age-appropriate. These styles are reflective of the fun new fashions that can always be found in the junior section of department stores. However, the silhouettes in the collection are intended to flatter women of all ages, shapes, and sizes,” Missy Robertson said.

The new clothing line is called Missy Robertson by Southern Fashion House, a collaboration with Stephanie Carter’s Southern Fashion House, which produces Judith March, Jacque and Janis clothing lines and DejaVu boutiques.
The 2014 Missy Robertson Spring Collection – debuting this month at Market in Atlanta, Dallas and Las Vegas – consists of approximately 55 pieces including dresses, sportswear, light cover-ups, and mix-and-match tops that are both versatile and affordable.
Mia Robertson underwent surgery last week for a cleft issue on her face – and her parents, Duck Dynasty’s Missy and Jase Robertson, have been keeping friends, family and fans posted on her progress via Facebook.

Missy Robertson wrote yesterday on her Facebook page: “Snowflakes snowflakes everywhere! Thank you 4th and 5th graders at WFR for the thoughtful surprise for Mia. And to some sweet friends for bringing them to Dallas. They, along with Mia’s cousins, hung them up while she was in recovery. Accor…ding to every doctor and nurse, it was the most decorated room that hospital has ever seen.”
