Phil Robertson received a master’s degree in education and spent several years teaching.

He was the subject of controversy after a 2013 interview he did with GQ magazine, where he said that gay behavior is sinful.

Phil Robertson, a devout Christian, is married to Miss Kay and they have four children together – Alan, Jase, Willie and Jep.

“I got the privilege to take Sadie to Jr/Sr last night,” said Blake Coward via Facebook message.

Blake Coward is a junior, and plays football and baseball for the Madison Academy Mustangs.

Sadie Robertson, 16, has cousins who attend Madison Academy, and she met Blake Coward while attending one of their softball games.

“I asked her on a date later,” said Blake Coward.

“It went great and then I visited her in Louisiana about a month later and we have been dating for three months now.”

Duck Dynasty and NASCAR fans, who flocked to Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday hoping to watch the Duck Commander 500 race alongside the Robertson family, were disappointed by delays due to inclement weather.

After waiting for hours, the race was eventually postponed to Monday morning because the track was too wet to race safely after the rain stopped.

The Sprint Cup race begins at noon ET on Monday. The Texas Motor Speedway went all out for the Duck Commander 500 race.

Concession stands were stocked with Uncle Si’s iced tea and Duck Commander BBQ and trimmings, and the stars of Duck Dynasty had various roles to play in the highly anticipated race.

Uncle Si Robertson sported a red jumpsuit and was planning to serve as the grand marshal, and Phil Robertson was set to waive the green flag to start the race.

Jase Robertson was going to introduce the drivers, and his brother Willie had planned to present the winner’s trophy at Victory Lane.

Phil and Alan Robertson were also scheduled to speak at the Sunday morning “Racing with Faith” service.

The Robertsons, who have often traveled to the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and were excited to sponsor their first NASCAR event at the Texas Motor Speedway, still managed to have a good time at the event.

While many family members were unable to fulfill their duties at the race, 16-year-old Sadie Robertson prayed over the crowd as they waited for the race to begin, and Missy Robertson sang the national anthem.

Hopefully fans will be able to catch the Robertson family next year. World News Group reports that Duck Commander, the Robertson family’s duck call and hunting gear business, has a three-year sponsorship at Texas Motor Speedway.

Willie Robertson says he believes that the Duck Commander brand is “more than just duck hunting”

“It says family and being positive and a lot of things that we see in NASCAR – it’s a family sport. We’re tickled to have our brand associated with it.”

NASCAR driver Clint Bowyer, who made an appearance on Season 2 of Duck Dynasty, has proved to be the Robertson favorite for the Duck Commander 500 race.

Clint Bowyer’s car sports the Duck Commander and Buck Commander logos, along with Willie’s Duck Diner and Duck & Dressing emblems.

Duck Dynasty’s Mia Robertson, the 10-year-old daughter of Jase and Missy Robertson, was born with a cleft lip and palate.

Missy and Jase Robertson recently launched the Mia Moo Fund, whose slogan is “Because Every Kid Deserves A Smile,” to raise awareness and help children with similar problems.

Missy Robertson revealed the story of Mia’s cleft lip and palate on the fund website:

“Jase & I learned that Mia had a cleft lip and possible cleft palate at 31 weeks gestation, thanks to a 4-D ultrasound. We were able to prepare ourselves and our boys, as best as we knew how, for a few weeks before she was born at 37 weeks gestation.

Mia Elaine Robertson was born on September 12, 2003, with a bilateral cleft lip and palate & it was through a mutual friend, we met a family in our area who had a son born with this same condition just a few months before Mia. This family lead us to the International Craniofacial Institute in Dallas, Texas, where we traveled when Mia was 17 days old. They checked her from head to toe and fitted her with a palatal appliance in order to give a “fake roof” to her mouth.

This helped tremendously in the feeding process as it aided in allowing her milk to travel down her throat instead of out her nose. We did our best to fatten her up over the next few weeks in order to get her healthy enough for her first surgery, correction of the cleft lip. At 3 months old, Mia underwent her first corrective surgery. Jase and I were prepared to physically take care of our daughter, but we were not prepared emotionally as to how different she would look after this surgery. We had fallen in love with that sweet face for 3 months and were not prepared for the swelling and stitches that we saw in the recovery room. It was a very emotional time.

Our baby looked so different, and we actually wondered if it would have been better if we had chosen not to put her through the surgery. In just a couple of days, the swelling diminished entirely, and we soon realized that this indeed was the best thing to do for our child. I try to help parents in this regard so they do not experience the same trauma that we did. Mia healed quickly, and we continued to prepare her for the next surgery. She had palate correction surgery at 7 months old. After having her palatal appliance cleaned 3-5 times a day for 7 months, Mia now had her own natural palate. She was a happy baby who loved her mama and hardly ever wanted to be away from me. This is extremely common with babies who need so much medical attention. No worries. I took her to work with me at Duck Commander, and she played on the floor and with her Mamaw Kay while we worked…”

After Duck Dynasty’s Mia Robertson underwent her recent facial cleft surgery, the Robertson family has started a non-profit organization to help raise awareness and to help fund research for children with cleft lips and palates.

Missy and Jase Robertson’s daughter had surgery on January 3, and is recovering speedily.

Mia Robertson, now 11, was born with a facial cleft, and had her first surgery when she was just three months old. Cleft lips and palates form in the womb, resulting in a gap in the upper lip or the roof of the mouth because the tissue did not fully form during early pregnancy.

Jase and Missy Robertson started the Mia Moo Fund, a non-profit organization to help raise awareness and fund research for causes and treatments of cleft lips and palates.

Wednesday’s Duck Dynasty Season 5 finale will center on Mia Robertson’s journey with a facial cleft and highlight how her family has rallied around her in loving support and prayer.

Duck Dynasty’s Jase Robertson’s opened up about his daughter Mia’s cleft surgery.

Jase Robertson revealed to Closer magazine that his 11-year-old daughter Mia’s bone graft surgery, done to repair a facial cleft, had him shaking in his boots.

“The hardest part was handing her off to the surgeons, knowing she was about to go through a lot of pain and suffering, even though I knew it was for the best,” he said.

Jase Robertson said that Mia has proven herself to be an exceptionally altruistic little girl, and is always thinking of others.

“She is always thoughtful of others who are going through difficult times.

“She actually prays each night for someone who is going through a tough situation.”

Duck Dynasty’s little Mia Robertson has just completed her fifth cleft surgery.

In a new interview with Closer magazine, 11-year-old Mia Robertson opened up about her cleft surgery and revealed that all she wants to do is go to Chick-Fil-A, a fast food restaurant that specializes in chicken.

“We’re driving straight [to Chick-Fil-A] from the doctor’s office,” Jase and Missy Robertson’s daughter told the magazine.

When asked what the scariest part of her surgery was, Mia Robertson said: “Knowing I couldn’t eat chicken strips for 3 months!”

Mia Robertson was then asked about how she coped with the surgery itself. Surprisingly, she was not scared at all.

“I honestly was never scared about having surgery. It wasn’t the first time, you know?” she admitted.

Besides, I had my mom and dad with me, and I knew God would be with me the whole time.”

Mia Robertson has been forced to replace chicken and her mother has been preparing her a wide variety of soups.

“She cooked a lot of different soups that I could pick from,” says Mia Robertson.

“My favorite was her homemade spaghetti sauce soup! I take it to school every day for lunch.”

Duck Dynasty Season 5 finale will air next week Wednesday and will feature Mia Robertson’s cleft surgery.

Texas Motor Speedway (TMS) unveiled the biggest sports video board in the world on Wednesday night when the 12-story Big Hoss TV made its debut.

“There’s nothing like attending a live sporting event,” TMS president Eddie Gossage said.

“With this, you don’t miss a thing. To me, it’s the ultimate fan amenity. To have the biggest one in the world, that’s just another one of those ‘everything’s bigger in Texas’ stories that we’re really proud to be a part of.”

The 20,633-square foot screen constructed by Panasonic is 79% larger than the monitor that hangs over the playing surface at AT&T Stadium. Jerry Jones’ two-sided screen cost $40 million. Eddie Gossage declined to give the total amount of the TMS board.

The Big Hoss TV is designed to hold its own against winds up to 130 miles per hour. The strength of the LED bulbs has been tested by having golf balls hit off the screen to simulate hail.

Helio Castroneves, a four-time Verizon IndyCar Series winner at TMS, said the screen’s size could be distracting for drivers during the race.

“The good news is that it’s so fast on the back straightaway that it would be hard for us to try to look,” said Helio Castroneves, who is scheduled to be part of the IndyCar field at TMS on June 7.

“Hopefully when we come back here in June, I can see myself in the victory circle on that big TV.”

The unveiling included a showing of the newest episode of A&E’s Duck Dynasty. Duck Commander, the company the show is centered around, is the sponsor of the NASCAR Sprint Cup race on April 6.

Duck Dynasty’s Willie and Korie Robertson were on hand and were presented with custom-painted racing helmets.

“I think a lot of these guys and gals watch the show, so it’s a good combination for us,” Willie Robertson said.

“We were thrilled to put our name on it. If you told me we were going to do this a couple years ago, I would’ve never believed it.”

Duck Dynasty Season 5 finale will feature Mia Robertson and her latest cleft lip and palate surgery.

In the meantime, Mia Robertson’s parents, Jase and Missy, are launching a charity aimed at helping children around the world get help with cleft surgeries.

Duck Dynasty Season 5 finale is scheduled to air on March 26.

At the beginning of this year, Mia Robertson, 10, underwent her latest cleft lip and palate surgery, and now her famous parents want to launch a campaign to help other children around the world get medical treatment for this condition.

Missy Robertson said the campaign and its website, www.miamoo.org, should launch this weekend.

Mia Robertson had her first procedure at 3 months when surgeons closed her lip. At age 7 months Mia Robertson underwent her first procedure for her palate, which split and widened toward the back of her throat.

Her latest procedure involved taking bone from her left hip and inserting it into the gap in her gum to allow them to grow together to form one bone.

More procedures may come as Mia gets older, Missy Robertson said.

The Mia Moo Fund website explained: “The organization began in 2014 after Mia Robertson, daughter of Jase and Missy Robertson, completed surgery for her cleft lip / palate. As Mia entered surgery, thousands of supportive fans tweeted, blogged and talked about how strong and beautiful she was. It was both empowering and inspiring. It has since become our mission to bring this type of support and love to each and every child that suffers from cleft lip and palate. These children face difficulties that are hard to comprehend, but with your support, the impossible can be achieved.”

Mia Robertson’s mother, Missy, has announced on her Faccebook page: „I am happy, excited, humbled and proud to introduce you to the Mia Moo Fund! Our family wants to help as many kids as possible who have been affected by cleft lip/palate. Follow us and become a part. And check out our web page for so much more at www.miamoo.org. Florida-based safety sign company Accuform Signs has teamed up with the A&E television network to create a new line of Duck Dynasty-inspired workplace safety signs meant to catch the attention of employees.

The company has signed a two-year licensing deal with the A&E to use characters from the Duck Dynasty reality show on their products.

The purpose of the new signs, according to Accuform CEO Wayne Johnson, is to attract and keep an employee’s attention, thus ensuring better safety measures in the workplace.

“Featuring pop culture icons like Duck Dynasty on workplace identification products is a unique way for workers to connect with their company’s safety program,” Wayne Johnson told the Tampa Bay Times in a recent interview.

Accuform Signs has teamed up with the A&E to create a new line of Duck Dynasty-inspired workplace safety signs

Instead of using the traditional workplace safety sign that often depicts simple wording warning against a safety violation, the new Duck Dynasty-themed signs will be multi-colored and feature a Duck Dynasty character acting out the safety situation. For example, one sign shows Willie Robertson wearing an orange hard hat. Another sign for protective eye-wear will reportedly show a member of the Duck Dynasty clan wearing protective goggles.

The new safety-sign campaign proves fitting, as a major theme on the Duck Dynasty reality show revolves around the Duck Commander business and often shows the Robertson family members working in the Duck Commander warehouse, either handling heavy machinery for packaging their products or making duck calls. Another theme of the show is the Robertson family’s love for hunting, which also carries its only necessary safety precautions.

Since its first airing in 2012, Duck Dynasty reality show has hit mainstream success and the Robertson family has been signed to various marketing deals.

In January, the Robertson family teamed up with the Mossberg gun company to produce a new line of shotguns, semiautomatic rifles and a semiautomatic pistol that feature the Duck Commander company name and the slogan “Faith. Family. Ducks”.

Retail stores across the US also carry Duck Dynasty merchandise, such as camouflage clothing, hunting gear, and of course, duck calls. Big-name brands and stores that have teamed up with the Duck Dynasty name include Walmart, Under Armour, and Target, among others.

Other entertainers set to appear at this year’s rodeo, which will continue at 7 p.m. tonight, include world champion bull rider Donnie Gay and local musical act Trotline. In addition, this year’s clown, Keith Isley, will keep rodeo lovers entertained throughout the performance.

In a recent interview with FOX411, Duck Dynasty‘s Sadie Robertson revealed faith is her number one priority.

“I think people use fame as an excuse to lose their faith,” Sadie Robertson, 16, has said.

“Faith is obviously my number one priority and I think you need to put God at the top of everything you do.”

Sadie Robertson also said she is using her fame to help promote family values.

“When we began <<Duck Dynasty>>, we weren’t starting it for fame,” she said.

“We started it to get the message of God out there.”

Sadie Robertson said her family’s show helped to fill a hole in today’s television programming by providing wholesome, Christian values for families to enjoy together.

“We could have easily done a reality show like everyone else,” she said.

“But it’s our faith that catches people’s eyes because sadly, it’s not something we’re used to seeing [on TV] these days.”

Sadie Robertson pointed out that there are several new Christian-themed films coming out this year.

“It just takes one person to take a stance and begin doing something different. We think [the show] has done a good job of getting out God’s message.”

The family sat down for one of their weekly dinners to set up some ground rules before they signed on for the reality show.

“We had a family dinner before the show started and we talked about if at any time in this journey that God is not first, then we have to put the show away,” Sadie Robertson recalled.

“If we start to think of ourselves too highly, we remember that we were happy before the show and we will be happy after the show.”

They even came up with a secret phrase should any family member start to let the fame get to their heads.

“At the dinner, my Uncle [Si] said, <<Remember the Alamo?>>” she explained they simply utter the sentence to remind the person to stay grounded.

Sadie Robertson has seen success outside of Duck Dynasty reality show.

At just 16, Sadie Robertson has sung a duet with country super star Allison Kraus, walked the runway in New York fashion week and co-hosts a popular Youtube series called The New Different with Preacher’s Daughters star Kolby Koloff.

“We started <<The New Different>> because we saw all of these people get famous from doing stupid things on Vine and YouTube and we thought if they can put the stupidest things online and have millions of views, why don’t we start a Christian-based video series?”

Sadie Robertson said it “was a God thing” when fellow reality star Kolby Koloff moved to Louisiana and they started producing the weekly series to cover the “daily struggles that teenagers go through” to give them “words of encouragement each week”.

The latest episode of Duck Dynasty showed the Robertson family helping Jep to build out a playhouse.

“Basically I messed up big time,” admitted Jep Robertson.

“I promised Jessica this playhouse would be ready for the kids [and it’s not].”

When Jep Robertson told his brother Jase he would be hiring builders to assemble the playhouse, Jase said he could get the job done in one day.

“All men should be able to build and assemble,” said Jase Robertson.

“As men, we’re holding up our end of the bargain. Be a man, build something, anything.”

Jep and Jessica Robertson

While Jase seemed up for the challenge, Jep was a bit loopy from the pain medication he was taking for an arm injury.

“We’ll build it while you sleep it off and we’ll give you all the credit it,” Jase offered.

But when Jep came to and saw what his brother had created he realized he was going to be in a lot of trouble.

“Jessica is not going to like this,” Jep Robertson said as he saw the playhouse had no slides or windows and looked like it would fall apart at any second.

“Anybody can call and order some prefab playhouse,” said Jase.

“Forts are for kids who want to defend themselves from other neighborhood kids. The kids who play in playhouses, they’re just looking for other places to have snack.”

As soon as Jessica saw the strange structure, she asked her husband: “Jep, I thought you were here, what were you doing this whole time? This is not what we talked about.”

“Don’t freak out, I got a plan B,” answered Jep.

“You’re going to take another nap?” snapped Jessica.

In the end, Jep hired builders to make a playhouse and although his father Phil called it a “yuppie move”, even he had to admit it was “better than letting his kids play in that death trap Jase built”.

The latest episode of Duck Dynasty revealed how Willie Robertson broke the family rule of never being late for duck hunting.

Uncle Si Robertson said: “Willie broke the cardinal rule of duck hunting and that rule is wake up in time to go duck hunting.”

Last year, Willie Robertson woke up late for opening day of duck season, a first for the Robertson men. So this year he was forced to help prepare all of Phil Robertson’s 64 duck blinds.

“I must say that I’ve never known a Robertson son to sleep in the opening day of duck season. You just wouldn’t do something like that. Ever,” said Phil Robertson.

It wasn’t enough to just subject his son to hard manual labor, Phil and Si also spent the day bossing around the Duck Commander CEO.

“Out here on the land we go by age,” explained Si Robertson who was having a little too much fun ordering around his nephew.

“Look, the boy needs to get his delicate little CEO hands dirty and callused. He’s the commander general. I’m second in command and Willie he’s way down on the bottom of the totem pole.”

“Make one simple mistake about hunting and pay dearly for it with humiliation and hard labor,” whined Willie.

“Welcome to the Robertson family.”

While Willie worked, the rest of the Robertson men were busy helping Jep get out of a bind.

According to new reports, Willie and Korie Robertson are planning to leave Duck Dynasty show.

A source told the National Enquirer  that Willie and Korie Robertson are headed in different directions.

“It looks like big trouble is brewing in their marriage,” the source said.

Willie and Korie Robertson have been married for 22 years. Although there is no indication that divorce is imminent, a split would put their $30 million fortune at risk.

Korie Robertson, 40, reportedly wants to move to Los Angeles where she can turn her four kids into stars, while her husband wants to stay in backwoods Louisiana and may want to kick off a career in politics, the source said.

Korie is also said to believe that their 16-year-old daughter Sadie will find it easier to expand her budding modeling career in Los Angeles.

Although Willie denied this summer that he planned to go into politics, “Willie got a taste of the big political arena when he attended the president’s recent State of the Union Address as a guest of Louisiana Rep. Vance McAllister,” said the source.

Willie and Korie Robertson, who have their own fortunes and also own a slice of the family’s  lucrative duck call business empire, would suddenly find  an estimated $30 million in play if they land in divorce  court, according to an insider.

The Robertson family will be the first recipient of the Governor’s Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence, which has never been given out before.

“The reason for this award is the tremendous impact that Duck Commander’s expansion has had on our community and on all Louisianians,” said Bobby Jindal, according to a statement.

Governor Bobby Jindal said the award would be given out periodically to “homegrown Louisiana businesses” that are expanding.

In this week’s episode of Duck Dynasty, Phil Robertson struggled to turn on his television to watch a Jason Bourne movie.

Miss Kay and Phil Robertson finally gave up and called son Willie help them figure out how to work their TV set.

“Pioneer men and technology go together about as well as mayonnaise and apple sauce,” said Miss Kay Robertson as she called up Willie who was somewhat reluctant to help.

“Let’s make something clear,” said Willie Robertson.

“I love my parents and I’m happy to help them with the occasional simple task, but it’s never just one simple task and it never takes just one minute.”

As soon as Willie Robertson finished helping his father learn how to turn on his Jason Bourne films, Miss Kay asked him for a lesson in texting.

“The grandkids want me to talk to them on the phone with text and I don’t know how to do it,” Miss Kay Robertson said.

“I want to learn how to make that little heart and a smiley face.”

“Oh good grief,” said Willie Robertson who immediately regretted teaching his mom about emojis.
