Duck Dynasty fans were likely stunned when rumors started circulating that one of the show’s stars and the family’s patriarch, Phil Robertson, could be leaving the show.

In an interview with Parade magazine for its July 28 issue, Phil Robertson was asked how much longer he plans on being on the show.

His response was: “Not long. But I think it’ll go on without me.”

However, according to TheBlaze, Alan Robertson, Phil’s oldest son who will be joining the family for Season 4, said: “There is no set time for Dad to leave.”

“He just meant that he can’t see himself doing the show for as long as all of us <<young bucks>> [Phil Robertson’s affectionate term for his boys].”

“There are no plans for anyone to leave Duck Dynasty anytime soon,” Alan Robertson, who’s also a pastor, added.

“We do appreciate the love for the Robertson family out there and are looking forward to a great upcoming season and [those] beyond that will include Mom and Dad.”

As for Alan Robertson, he recently told the New York Post he’s excited to join the show because of what it means for spreading his faith.

“What I do for our church – you see, it’s a pretty good-sized church – impacts a lot of people, but because of my association with the show, I’ll get to minister to a lot more people,” he said.

“Any person that’s an evangelist, that’s what you want to do, so I had to give this up for something possibly bigger.”

Alan Robertson reiterated that the family has been upfront with the network about their beliefs from the beginning – and the network was okay with it.

“From Day 1, Dad held up his Bible and said, <<This is part of our lives, is this going to be in?>> ” Alan Robertson told the Post.

“And they were like, <<That’s in, that’s part of who you are>>.”

Duck Dynasty Season 4 will premiere on August 14.

Duck Dynasty fans’ favorite  Uncle Si Robertson, who says God has a sense of humor because he’s turned four disheveled-looking Christian guys into reality television stars, will be releasing his new book next month.

Si Robertson, the youngest brother of family patriarch, Phil Robertson, works at Duck Commander where he’s been making the reeds for duck calls since his retirement from the U.S. Army, and shares anecdotal advice and stories about life in his book, titled Si-cology 1: Tales and Wisdom from Duck Dynasty’s Favorite Uncle.

Phil Robertson’s brother, who’s known for his storytelling and for saying that he carries three items along with him everywhere he goes: tea, the Tupperware cup his parents sent to him during the Vietnam War, and his Bible, told LifeWay that the Robertson family gives God the glory for all of their success.

“Hey, it’s unreal,” Si explained.

“Cause if you asked any of the Robertson men who’s behind all this – [people] ask Willie all the time, <<How did you become so successful?>>”

Uncle Si Robertson's book will be released on September 3

Uncle Si Robertson’s book will be released on September 3

The answer that Willie Robertson provides, according to Si, is: “Hey, that would be the Almighty. He’s the one that has made this a success.”

Speaking about God, Si Robertson said that although a lot of people don’t believe God has a sense of humor, he quipped that the lives of the Robertson men is proof that He does, and in abundance.

“God has got a great sense of humor, OK. Because, hey, look as Jase. God has taken four guys that look like about five miles of muddy road and made them famous in the TV world.”

He then turns the tables on nonbelievers and asks what it is they depend on for support when they receive bad news, such as receiving a diagnosis of a terminal illness.

“The only thing I’d say is: I wonder, when people run into bad times, they go to the doctor and find out, <<I’m dying with cancer>>, and they don’t believe in God, where do they turn to?”

Si Robertson continues: “We’re all mortal. We’re all going in that grave. And there ain’t but one way that you’re going to beat it that I know of. Like Phil always tells them: <<If you’ve got something to offer me, better than what I just shared with you, I’m all ears; I’m ready to hear it>>. Because that’s the only one I ever heard that beat the grave.”

“And he promised you that since He beat it, if you believe in Him, He’ll make you beat it.”

Si Robertson’s 240-page book that will be available on September 3 will include family photos, and anecdotes and stories about his childhood, duck hunting, his days in college, the Vietnam War, and his wife, Christina, and their two children, Scott and Trasa.

Duck Dynasty Season 4 will broadcast at 10 p.m. EST on Wednesday, August 14.

Also starring Nancy Travis, Molly Ephraim, Kaitlyn Dever, Amanda Fuller, Christoph Sanders, Flynn Morrison and Hector Elizondo, Last Man Standing was renewed for a third season in May.

Meanwhile, Duck Dynasty has become A&E’s most popular show. Its Season 3 finale in April drew 9.6 million viewers.

Berlin Raceway officials conjured up a special paint scheme for Duck Dynasty Night in Marne, Michigan.

Duck Dynasty star Willie Robertson: “This car is awesome. It looks really good. They did a great job wrapping it. I’m impressed. I wasn’t expecting that.”

When Duck Dynasty Season 3 wrapped up on the A&E network in April, about 9.6 million viewers tuned in, making it the year’s No. 1 nonfiction cable TV series.

Willie Robertson, the CEO of Duck Commander, the duckcalling business that serves as the centerpiece for this series, is not surprised by what has happened, given that, despite all the beards on all the male family members, the show is very clean-cut.

“I think it’s the family values in the show,” Willie Robertson said prior to making an appearance at Berlin Raceway on Saturday for Duck Dynasty Night.

“It’s funny, it’s well done, and if you put those things together, I’m thinking America was really wanting that.

“We kind of stood out in the crowd, and a lot of people have been watching that, that’s for sure.”

The show, however, is not just about Willie Robertson. His brother, Jase, is a key figure, as are his father, Phil, and Uncle Si. Willie Robertson’s wife, Korie, and his mother, Miss Kay, help keep the house in order while the boys are busy doing what they do on the weekly series.

There will be a new addition or this season, which premieres August 14. Younger brother Alan, the preacher at the church where the Robertsons are members, will be joining his bearded brothers on a semi-regular basis.

“Al is really funny as well, and hopefully he will be on the show more,” Willie Robertson said.

“People will get to see our beardless brother.”

By the time Willie and Korie Robertson and Justin Martin, one of Duck Commander’s more popular employees who is often the butt of jokes because of his girth, began signing autographs on Saturday, hundreds of people were lined up under the Berlin Raceway grandstands to meet the beards.

The U.S. Department of Education (DOE) plans to investigate a controversial “Redneck Day” celebration three months ago at Queen Creek High School in Arizona.

One student wore a Confederate flag during the May 1 event, which was inspired by the popular A&E show Duck Dynasty. Civil rights activists say that created a racially hostile environment.

The Rev. Jarrett Maupin says the DOE will “determine the remedy, including moderating conversations between school administrators and civil rights community leaders to shape new policy and racism prevention measures.”

The DOE’s Office for Civil Rights says “the display of the Confederate flag concerns rights protected by the First Amendment.”

But it also says in a letter that the investigation’s scope “will be limited to whether a racially hostile environment was created due to language and actions that were not protected by the First Amendment.”

The day was supposed to prompt kids at Queen Creek High School to dress like members of Duck Dynasty cast, but instead it was seen as offensive when students arrived at the school in stereotypical clothing.

Tom Lindsey, superintendent of the Queen Creek Unified School District told azcentral.com that the day was meant to satirize Duck Dynasty and boost school spirit.

Still, some students and local families were offended by the dress-up day, something Tom Lindsey apologized for shortly after the incident.

Tom Lindsey said that the student wearing a confederate flag was pulled aside and asked to change clothes.

“It was no ill intent,” Tom Lindsey told the Arizona publication.

“We apologize to any people who, because of the word [redneck], were offended,” he said.

The new season of Duck Dynasty will feature the wedding-vow renewal ceremony of patriarch Phil and Miss Kay Robertson.

The event will take place during the premiere of the show’s Season 4 on August 14.

The episode, which is entitled Till Duck Do We Part will feature Phil Robertson, dressed in his finest camouflage pants and bandana, renewing his wedding vows to Miss Kay, his wife of 49 years.

Miss Kay, who was only 16 when she wed Phil Robertson the first time around, wore a white dress and veil, while the couple’s sons all donned suits for the fancy affair.

According to A &E’s description, the entire Robertson clan will be present at the festivities, including Phil’s wacky brother, fan favorite Uncle Si.

Everyone comes together to plan a surprise wedding for Phil and Kay Robertson, setting up a special ceremony on their land, which the whole family attends.

Si Robertson distracts Phil and Kay by taking them on a “trip down memory lane” to different places that were meaningful in their relationship.

The high school sweethearts will say “I do” again underneath an altar of flowers and animal antlers, in a ceremony officiated by their unbearded pastor son, Alan Robertson, who will make his debut this season.

According to A & E, Duck Dynasty was the highest-rated non-fiction series on cable last year. Nearly 8.5 million people tuned in on average to watch the hi-jinks of Louisiana’s most famous bearded brothers.

Duck Dynasty Season 4 premieres on August 14 at 10 p.m. on A & E.

Porter Ridge, a new reality show set in rural Spencer, Indiana, is the latest brainchild of Duck Dynasty‘s creator Gurney Productions.

In contrast to the duck-call empire built in West Monroe, Louisiana, Porter Ridge is a comedic documentary series centered on Terry Porter and his Country Auto Parts company.

Porter Ridge will premiere on the Discovery Channel at 10:30 p.m., on August 13.

A tight-knit circle of friends in Owen County sought out the limelight of cable television, according to Discovery Channel executive producer Joe Weinstock.

Jeff Watson, known as Jeff the Bear Man because of the eight brown bears he owns, watched an episode of Duck Dynasty and found contact information for that show’s co-creator, Scott Gurney.

“[Jeff Watson] literally cold-emailed [Scott Gurney], saying <<I have some great neighbors who surround me in this little rural community in Southern Indiana. You need to come check them out>>,” Joe Weinstock said.

“You can imagine Scott getting many of these types of emails. For some reason, he responded to this one.”

On Porter Ridge Road, Scott Gurney discovered salvage yard owner Porter, described as a “fast-talking, shirtless, wild man” in Discovery promotional material.

“He does not wear a shirt, and he probably has one of the most beautiful tans known to man,” Joe Weinstock said.

Porter Ridge viewers will meet Dirty Andy, a bearded deal maker, and Elvis Larry, a garbage man who loves to share gossip.

“This is so real, so visceral, so authentic,” Joe Weinstock said.

“You can’t put a better group of characters together. It’s amazing how all these individuals just live by each other.”

While Duck Dynasty is based on the Robertson family, owners of Duck Commander, no cast members of Porter Ridge live in a mansion.

“Money is not the most important object for these individuals,” Joe Weinstock said.

“It’s family, religion and fun.”

In addition to Porter being shirtless and Jeff Watson keeping bears on leashes, Porter Ridge features demolition derbies, pumpkins launched from cannons and rivals who live on nearby Dog Killer Ridge.

Joe Weinstock said Porter Ridge isn’t designed to make Hoosiers look bad.

“When people see the show, I believe they’re going to come away feeling pretty darn good,” said Joe Weinstock, an Oklahoma native who worked for MTV Networks, Spike TV and Gurney Productions before being hired by Discovery in 2012.

“It has a lot of heart. In the end, these neighbors who all unite and live on Porter Ridge Road love each other.”

When MTV aired Buckwild, a Jersey Shore successor set in rural West Virginia, the 2013 show wasn’t well-received in its home state.

“This show plays to ugly, inaccurate stereotypes about the people of West Virginia,” Senator Joe Manchin said in December, before the first episode aired.

Buckwild ceased production following a cast member’s death. Shain Gandee died of accidental carbon monoxide poisoning in April after stranding his Ford Bronco in deep mud.

Duck Dynasty, meanwhile, is a runaway hit. The premiere of its third season on cable network A&E attracted 8.6 million viewers in February, making it the year’s No. 1 “nonfiction” cable series.

Porter Ridge will air on 12 consecutive Tuesdays, and the show is expected to receive promotion throughout Shark Week – the signature Discovery Channel programming that begins August 4.

Joe Weinstock said the likelihood of a second season of Porter Ridge should be known after a month of episodes air.

“I feel like this is something really special,” Joe Weinstock said.

“It’s bottled and packaged like no other show you’ve seen.”

Duck Dynasty‘s patriarch Phil Robertson may soon be ready to hang up his hunting whistle for good.

In a recent interview with Parade magazine, Phil Robertson hints that he’ll likely leave the A&E hit reality show in the not-too-distant future.

Asked how much longer he plans to be involved, the Duck Commander founder replies: “Not long.”

But that doesn’t mean the series will end.

“I think it’ll go on without me,” Phil Robertson muses.

Since its premiere in the spring of 2012, Duck Dynasty has accumulated millions of fans, many of whom flock to the Robertson family’s Duck Commander warehouse just to catch a glimpse of the stars.

In a recent interview with Parade magazine, Phil Robertson hints that he’ll likely leave the A&E hit reality show in the not-too-distant future

“I told Missy, my wife, the only person I’d stand in line for is God Almighty,” Phil Robertson’s son Jase tells Parade.

“<<You made the universe? All right, I’ll get in line!>>”

Jase Robertson appears on the show with his father, Uncle Si, and brothers Willie and Jep, all of whom have long, full beards. But come August, when Season 4 premieres on A&E, there will be another face on the show – eldest brother, clean-shaven Alan, who recently rejoined the business.

Doing the show has brought the family “a whole lot closer,” Willie Robertson tells Parade.

“It’s probably the opposite of most reality shows. And nobody gets a big head because we’re all doing it together.”

In fact, fame doesn’t seem to have changed the group much at all. While some episodes feature situations suggested by producers, Jase Robertson insists they never do anything out of character.

“They come up with ideas, but I get to be myself in those ideas,” he tells Parade.

“One day when we were gonna play golf, a wardrobe person brought me a pair off knickers,” he recalls.

“I guess they thought that would be funny. But I don’t wear knickers. They said, <<A&E wants you to>>. I was like, <<I don’t care!>>”

Willie Robertson sensed the show could be good for business, but he had one hesitation: the name, Duck Dynasty.

“I thought, <<That sounds like a Chinese food place!>>” Willie Robertson  quips.

Duck Dynasty’s Willie and Korie Robertson have five kids: John Luke, Will, Bella, Rebecca, and Sadie.

The eldest Robertson child is also the newest to the family, Rebecca. Rebecca came to the Robertsons as an exchange student from Taiwan, but then became their foster daughter.

Willie and Korie Robertson with their five kids, Sadie, Will, Rebecca, John Luke and Bella

John Luke is the eldest boy and the one who has been on Duck Dynasty most often.  We’ve seen John Luke on a date (chaperoned by grandfather, Phil Robertson), playing video games with cousin Cole, and generally hanging around the house during filming.

Sadie’s been right in the middle of Duck Dynasty, too.  We’ve seen her cook with her grandmother, Miss Kay, and climb under the house for her granddad, Phil.  But, getting driving lessons from Uncle Si provided her most memorable screen time.

Will was the third Robertson child to join the family, adopted at birth before Bella was born and before Rebecca joined the family.  Will shows up on camera now and then, but we haven’t heard much from him yet.

And then there’s the youngest, Bella. Let’s hope we get a chance to get to know her on the show, too.

In one of this year’s episodes of Duck Dynasty, Uncle Si Robertson got mad and quit Duck Commander.

Si Robertson felt like he was not appreciated enough. He couldn’t find his tea glass and that was the final straw.

Uncle Si wanted help and nobody jumped up to help him finding his tea glass. So he just said: “I quit!”

Si Robertson decided to help his older brother Phil working at the property so he could still make money, but he would not be at Duck Commander anymore.

Willie Robertson, the Duck Commander CEO, even went as far as to hire someone to replace Uncle Si even though everyone knows that he won’t stay gone forever. Of course that didn’t last long and Uncle Si Robertson was back at Duck Commander. He even got a raise to come back to work!

Fans of Duck Dynasty will get a special treat this holiday season when the Robertson family release their own Christmas album.

Universal Music Group Nashville announced that the album, called Duck The Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas, will hit stores October 29.

The Duck Dynasty family has been in a Darius Rucker music video. They’ve hung out with Kellie Pickler, they’ve been to two CMT Music Awards shows, they are good buddies with Jason Aldean.

“A Robertson family Christmas album,” said Korie Robertson.

“And the title is, you can probably guess it, Duck the Halls.”

“The whole family’s going to be involved. It will be kind of a variety show-style music CD, and we got some surprises for you, so I think it’ll be a lot fun.”

“We do have some special guests, but we’re not announcing them yet,” she added.

“Got some things in the works and hopefully we’ll let y’all know about that pretty soon.”

Duck Dynasty follows the lives of the Louisiana-based Robertson family and their multi-million dollar company Duck Commander – a fabricator of top-of-the-line duck calls and decoys.

The family grew up singing in church and has many musical members who will be showcasing their talents on the album.

“Faith, family and ducks – in that order – have always been our priorities,” said reality star Willie Robertson, the CEO of Duck Commander.

He added: “Christmas is an important holiday for us not only because of our strong faith but also our holiday family traditions. We’re having a great time making this album. We hope you enjoy it.”

Duck Dynasty fans from around the world are invited to join the show stars on the Duck Commander Cruise next summer.

“Without further delay…We’re excited to announce the Duck Commander Cruise, sailing next summer, July 17-21, 2014!” wrote the cast on the official page of the Duck Commander.

Duck Dynasty fans from around the world are invited to join the show stars on the Duck Commander Cruise next summer

Duck Dynasty fans from around the world are invited to join the show stars on the Duck Commander Cruise next summer

With Willie Robertson in charge of the account, the invite obviously was from the family who wants to meet the fans while sailing the ocean.

The packages start at $749 a person and go up from there. Taking a big cruise liner, the fans will be on the Carnival Victory visiting Key West and Cozumel. The idea of taking to the seas on a family vacation might be perfect, but the date of the trip isn’t until July 2014, so it will be a while (and at least a season of Duck Dynasty) before meeting the family would be possible.

This isn’t the first time fans have been invited on an ocean cruise to mingle with entertainers. There have been artists who have cruised with fans and even actors from the Twilight movie series who hit the high seas. However, it has to be a first that duck hunters decide to cruise to meet fans.

So how is the initial response to the idea of a cruising with duck hunters? The majority of fans are bummed that the cast is expecting people to pay more than a thousand dollars a person to meet them after adding tips and other expenses. Duck Dynasty devotees who waited for the big announcement feel really let down. A cruise catering to a few rich folks who want to vacation 2014 isn’t exactly what people were hoping to hear. Since the show caters to families who are simple folks with budgets, this obviously will leave the majority of the fans on shore watching as the big boat floats away.

Duck Dynasty’s patriarch Phil Robertson and his wife, Miss Kay, raised four rambunctious boys, who have all, at some point or another, worked with him – along with their wives – on the family’s duck call business.

So what’s Phil Robertson’s advice for creating such a close, happy family? He said his kids were raised with a balance of discipline and independence.

“We had a code. I told them that I’d give them three licks if they disrespected their mother, if they were fist fighting with each other, and if they ever tore up perfectly good equipment for no good reason,” Phil Robertson told FOX 411 back in May about his parenting style.

But that by no means meant he didn’t show his kids affection.

“I made sure we loved them and we taught them to love their neighbor.”

Phil Robertson said his kids were raised with a balance of discipline and independence

Phil Robertson said his kids were raised with a balance of discipline and independence

He added that he also made sure his kids knew how to take care of themselves.

“We had very few rules and regulations. I would say, <<If you want to stay up all night, that’s your prerogative>>,” he said.

“[For] getting up in the morning and catching the school bus, we didn’t go in there and say, <<time to get up>>. We taught them to be responsible.”

Phil Robertson said the boys were also taught a lot about respect.

“When it came to teachers I told them, <<You’re going to have great teachers, fair teachers and some are going to be poor but always remember they are your teacher. Shut up and sit down and obey them and get out with a fair grade and onto the next one>>. I backed the teachers no matter what,” he said.

The family’s close relationships can now be seen by millions, as they work together in front of the cameras.

Phil Robertson said he thinks the show is so popular because viewers enjoy watching a functional family working hard together.

Si Robertson’s wife, Christine, has yet to tell the media why she hasn’t appeared on Duck Dynasty.

Critics of the show speculate that Christine Robetson isn’t ready to come out from the behind the scenes and let the public get to know her.

There was some confusion about Si Robertson and Christine’s exact relationship until Jessica, Jep Robertson’s wife, posted a photo on her Twitter page with the caption: “Me, #Si & his sweet WIFE Christine @Mrs.Kay’s 65 bday party! So blessed to have such a large & close family.”

It was revealed in Willie Robertson’s book The Duck Commander Family: How Faith, Family, and Ducks Built a Dynasty that Uncle Si and Christine have two children, a son named Scott Robertson and a daughter named Trasa Robertson Cobern.

Scott Robertson currently serves in the US Army and has been deployed to Iraq several times. He and his wife Marsha Markert Robertson have three boys, Ethan and twins Lohan and Connor.

Duck Dynasty Season 4 is set to premiere on Wednesday, August 14.

It was earlier reported the new season will bring with it a new family member: Phil Robertson and Miss Kay’s eldest son, Alan Robertson.

Duck Dynasty Season 4 is set to premiere on Wednesday, August 14

Alan Robertson is a preacher who happens to be clean shaven. The beard-free reverend said he plans to use his role on the massively popular reality show to spread the good news of the gospel.

“Because of my association with the show, I’ll get to minister to a lot more people,” Alan Robertson said.

“Any person that’s an evangelist, that’s what you want to do, so I had to give this up for something possibly bigger.”

Before Season 3 came to a close, there was some concern about whether a Season 4 would see the light of day. Contract negotiations between the Robertsons and A&E reportedly stalled when the cast members demanded raises. But the network must have decided it was worth shelling out the $200,000 each of the Robertsons is said to have demanded. After all, the Season 3 finale caused the show to smash its own record for highest-rated telecast in A&E history with a whopping 9.6 million viewers.

Duck Dynasty Season 3 left off in Hawaii, as Willie Robertson fumbled and bumbled his way through a Robertson-style family vacation. But the clan is back in Monroe, Louisiana, now, doing your average duck hunter things – like having Scotty McCreery perform at a “Redneck Red Carpet” party.

Although the Duck Dynasty family, a close-knit clan who own and operate a thriving duck call and decoy business called Duck Commander, may be in the limelight, there are still a few things you might not know about the Robertsons.

Here’s a list of the top 10 fun facts you didn’t know about the Robertsons – Phil, Miss Kay, Uncle Si, Jase, Willie, Jep and their wives:

1.  Jase, Willie and Jep Robertson actually have a fourth brother, Alan (Al). Alan Robertson is the oldest of the bunch, and may make a special appearance in the upcoming Season 4 of Duck Dynasty.

2. Miss Kay Robertson’s favorite meal to make is fried frogs, and apparently there are two ways to cook them. Jase Robertson recommends soaking them in lemon juice first, and Miss Kay says you can fry them or sauté them in butter to make them extra delicious.

3. Phil Robertson recently ran into his old football friend, Terry Bradshaw, at the airport. When the two men attended Louisiana Tech University, Phil Robertson played first string quarterback ahead of Terry Bradshaw.

The self-proclaimed rednecks of Duck Dynasty are everywhere, from the country music awards, to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner

4. Contrary to popular belief, the tea Uncle Si always drinks is unsweetened.

5. The Duck Dynasty clan appeared in Darius Rucker’s Wagon Wheel music video, a remake of the popular Old Crow Medicine Show song.

6. Jase, Willie and Jep’ Robertsons wives actually do love their husband’s beards, and prefer them to the “preppy look” the men used to have.

7. In addition to his huge truck seen on the show, Willie Robertson drives a camouflage BMW.

8. Miss Kay isn’t the only “Miss” of the family. Everyone calls the women of the show by their first names, and adds “Miss” at the beginning. It’s the proper Southern thing to do.

9. The Duck Commander warehouse actually has a store in it. People travel from all over to see the Robertsons, and sometimes hundreds of people are lined up outside at a time. The family claims to know which state is having Spring Break based on all the license plates in the parking lot.

10. Uncle Si Robertson’s favorite way to eat dove is with cream cheese, jalapenos and wrapped in bacon, which is probably another Miss Kay specialty.

Scotty McCreery made a dream come true for 16-year-old Sadie Robertson of the hit A&E show Duck Dynasty.

Scotty McCreery played Sadie Robertson’s recent birthday party after spending an afternoon mudding with John Luke Robertson and enjoying Miss Kay’s home cooking.

The June 17 sweet 16 bash took place at a vineyard in West Monroe, Louisiana.

Us Weekly covered the party for their most recent issue, and in the magazine, fans get a glimpse of the fun, which included Willie and John Luke Robertson joining Scotty McCreery for a version of Man of Constant Sorrow.

According to Country Music Rocks, Scotty McCreery and the Robertsons first met before his recent performance at the Grand Ole Opry. He was invited to play Sadie Robertson’s party and he accepted, thinking it’d be a surprise.

Sadie Robertson knew all about it however, even requesting he play her favorite song, See You Tonight.

“This boy made my birthday the best day of my life! So thankful that he came down for my party!” she wrote on Twitter.

The day before, the singer and his bandmates went mudding in John Luke Robertson’s jeep and several four-wheelers. Later, they enjoyed friend shrimp and banana pudding before spending the night at the family’s home.

“I was blown away by their hospitality,” Scotty McCreery says.

“I like the fact that they are who they say they are; they are who they look they are on the TV show. They are good, normal folks who like to have fun.”

Fans of the hit reality series Duck Dynasty are going to see the only clean-shaved Robertson brother featured on the show’s next season.

Alan and his wife Lisa Robertson will be joining the cast for the upcoming 4th season.

Alan Robertson, Duck Commander’s oldest son, likes to joke about his beardlessness as he’s chosen to stay behind the scenes and off the cameras.

He likes to think of himself as the original, after Phil Robertson of course. Alan has spent the past 22 years as a pastor but recently rejoined the team, with his primary responsibility being the one who schedules the cast’s seemingly endless public appearances.

Alan Robertson said: “It’s hard ’cause my thing has kinda been the different one, to not have to do that. The feeling is that once you go the long hair and the beard there’s no going back from that.”

Via the family’s official business they describe Alan Robertson this way: “Alan is the oldest son of the Duck Commander. He grew up hunting and fishing and helping build the foundation of the family business in the 1970’s & ’80’s. Back in the day, he and Phil would travel around Louisiana and Arkansas selling duck calls to stores right out of the truck! The sales pitch back then was the same as today: <<These calls are the best ‘cause they sound just like a duck!>>.

“He left the duck call business when he received the call for full time ministry in 1988 and now serves as a senior pastor in West Monroe, LA. Alan is still a part of the family’s commitment to spreading the gospel of Christ through their love of hunting and the great outdoors. He calls himself a Jacob in a family of Esaus.”

Alan Robertson also stated: “It’s like a sasquatch in reverse, cause you know, instead of the hairy sighting, I’m like the clean sighting.”

In a recent piece on 20/20, Willie Robertson stated that before the show Duck Commander sold around 60,000 of their patented duck calls a year. Now he says that number is way over 300,000. Taking that kind of growth into consideration, it’s obvious the Robertsons can use all the family help they can get – beard or not.

Via the Duck Commander Twitter page, a great photo of the ladies of the Duck empire was posted which includes Lisa Robertson.

A&E has reportedly been leery about including Alan Robertson because of how identifiable the beards are with the brand. But like the family says, it’s “Faith, Family, Ducks”.

Duck Dynasty’s bearded brotherhood is the most popular family in reality TV right now but one member of the family has been left out, until now.

Who could have predicted that excess facial hair would become a phenomenon with nearly 4 million viewers?

“Used to, we would just have the beards during hunting season. That was the tradition where that got started. Then we would shave after hunting season. Now we’re filming, so you just have it year round,” said Jase Robertson.

The Robertsons say beards are good for business. It makes the family more recognizable for all of the Robertson boys, except one.

“Can’t you tell I look like a Robertson? Just imagine, you wonder what they look like underneath the beard. This is it,” said Alan Robertson, the oldest son of Duck Commander Phil.

Alan Robertson is the oldest of the four Robertson children. He likes to call himself the original.

He spent the past 22 years as a pastor until just recently, when he decided to join the family business, where he helps schedule appearances.

Alan Robertson never really got into this whole beard thing.

“It’s like a sasquatch in reverse, cause you know, instead of the hairy sighting, I’m like the clean sighting,” he said.

The show’s network, A&E, is reportedly leery about adding a brother who doesn’t have a beard, saying it could take away from some of the mystery.

It has been that way for most of the company’s projects in the past.

“We went to Wal-Mart to sell them Duckmen 9 and Alan didn’t have a beard and they said the buyers said, <<Y’all are gonna have to put one on him>>. I was like, <<What?>> So that’s photoshopped,” said Missy Robertson, Alan’s sister-in-law.

“It’s hard ’cause my thing has kinda been the different one, to not have to do that,” said Alan Robetrtson.

“The feeling is that once you go the long hair and the beard there’s no going back from that.”

Do not be surprised if you see a little more skin in the coming seasons with the introduction of the abnormal brother of the Robertson clan.

Alan Robertson, the oldest son of Duck Commander Phil Robertson, is not featured in A&E’s hit reality series Duck Dynasty.

He grew up hunting and fishing and helping build the foundation of the family business in the 1970’s & ’80’s.

Alan Robertson left the duck call business when he received the call for full time ministry in 1988 and now serves as a senior pastor in West Monroe, Louisiana.

He is still a part of the family’s commitment to spreading the gospel of Christ through their love of hunting and the great outdoors.

Alan Robertson calls himself a Jacob in a family of Esaus.

After 20 years in the pulpit, Alan Robertson stepped down as one of the 1,200-member congregation’s ministers. The clean-shaven member of the clan left to help run the family business, which has exploded with growth since Duck Dynasty premiered.

Alan Robertson works for the company on occasion, but is not featured on their reality show, Duck Dynasty.

Duck Dynasty’s Jase Robertson is Willie’s brother and his polar opposite.

While Willie Robertson enjoys making deals behind the desk, Jase would much rather call the swamp his office.

But he knows he’s gotta earn his keep, so Jase Robertson’s job within the company is to fabricate the duck calls that have made Duck Commander famous. When pressed, Jase Robertson can churn out a thousand new calls in a flash, but he likes to take his time so that Willie doesn’t expect the same performance every day.

Duck Dynasty’s Missy and Jase Robertson

Duck Dynasty’s Missy and Jase Robertson

Jase Robertson has more important things than work on his mind, namely, duck hunting. His motto is: “Only three things matter: God, then family, then ducks.”

Jason Silas “Jase” Robertson was born on August 19, 1969 and is in charge of the manufacturing aspects of Duck Commander.

Along with other employees, Jase Robertson tunes the duck calls by hand. Many of Duck Dynasty episodes feature the laid-back, self-professed redneck Jase Robertson doing something to aggravate the gung-ho, business-savvy Willie (such as turning a warehouse cleaning into a ping-pong battle).

Missy Robertson is Jase’s wife. She is often seen helping Korie (Willie Robertson’s wife and her sister-in-law) and Miss Kay (her mother-in-law) with ideas to expand the Duck Commander women’s line.

Missy and Jase Robertson have three children: Reed, Cole, and Mia.
