Duck Dynasty’s Si Robertson alongside Ashley Howard Nelson, Korie Robertson’s sister, are taking the reins and launching a new venture with Wes Melcher, owner of Double Infinity Ranch.
Together they have partnered in ownership of a Louisiana-bred Thoroughbred filly that will be named Sithechristmas elf.
The two-year-old racehorse is currently being trained at Double Infinity Ranch in Sulphur Springs, Texas, and is slated to make her debut in summer 2014.
With just three years of experience in the Thoroughbred racing industry, Wes Melcher has already had an enormous amount of success.
Wes Melcher campaigned Texas Champion Two-Year-Old Horse of the Year “Worldventurer” and is the owner of 2014 Kentucky Derby hopeful, “Louies Flower” – a horse currently training for the Southwest Stakes on February 17 at Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
He recently purchased a large commercial horse operation in Sulphur Springs and has developed it into a top-notch Thoroughbred facility, complete with a racetrack, under the Double Infinity Ranch banner.
Si Robertson has parlayed his Duck Dynasty fame into many commercial endorsements and projects and is excited to be involved with this sport, especially in his home state of Louisiana. Uncle Si is expected to make several appearances to support Double Infinity Ranch and Sithechristmas elf in 2014.
