Ashley Judd visits Dario Franchitti after Houston Grand Prix car crash
Ashley Judd rushed to her estranged husband Dario Franchitti’s side following the car crash at the Houston Grand Prix on Sunday.
The accident left Dario Franchitti with a concussion, broken right ankle and two fractured vertebrae.
Debris from his high speed crash flew into the stands, injuring 13 fans according to the Associated Press.
Dario Franchitti, 40, was transported by an ambulance to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center. The three-time Indy 500 winner underwent surgery on his ankle yesterday.
Ashley Judd, 45, and Dario Franchitti announced their split in January 2013 after 11 years of marriage. Although the pair has yet to file for divorce, it is unclear whether they have officially reconciled.
“We have mutually decided to end our marriage,” Ashley Judd and Dario Franchitti said in a statement at the time of their separation.
“We’ll always be family and continue to cherish our relationship based on the special love, integrity, and respect we have always enjoyed.”
