Louisiana poll shows voters don’t want Willie Robertson to run for Congress
A recent Louisiana poll shows that 41% of the state’s voters don’t think Duck Dynasty’s Willie Robertson should run for Congress, a week after news emerged that party officials were trying to woo him into the race.
Moreover, Louisianans ranked Willie Robertson’s Uncle Si as their most favorite family member.
The poll conducted by Conservative Intelligence Briefing mainly included questions about state politicians Bobby Jindal, David Vitter and Mary Landrieu.
But the company inquired if voters would actually consider Willie Robertson, 41, for the open seat left by retiring Rep. Rodney Alexander.
It appears they would not.
Even more surprising though is that Willie Robertson, the self-described “Boss Hog” of the West Monroe clan, isn’t even the show favorite.
Willie Robertson lost out to his tea-drinking Uncle Si.
Twenty five percent of responders listed Uncle Si as the most lovable Robertson while only 24% rooted for Willie.
Though the Washington Examiner floated Willie Robertson as a possible candidate, the CEO of Duck Commander told Fox News he was pretty busy managing his business and starring in his family’s hit show.
Duck Dynasty Season 4 premiere on A&E TV attracted a mind-blowing 11.8 million viewers last week – a record for the cable network.
