Quentin Tarantino has received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in front of the TCL Chinese Theatre.

The Hollywood director was joined at the December 21 ceremony by the cast of his latest movie Hateful Eight including Samuel L. Jackson.

“Wow, I guess I must have become a big shot,” he told the crowd, recalling the first few times he had walked the stretch of sidewalk that would bear his star.

Samuel L. Jackson, who was celebrating his 67th birthday, introduced Quentin Tarantino, recalling how they both used to walk the boulevard and marvel at the immortal stars honored there.

Quentin Tarantino said he was only 7-year-old when he was taken to see Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid at the famous Chinese Theatre.

His 9th theatrical release, The Hateful Eight, has already collected a Golden Globe nomination ahead of its Christmas release and December 31 expansion.

Quentin Tarantino appeared jubilant as he posed for photos and signed autographs, saying: “I take it seriously that I am a member of this community, I am a member of this town.

“I’m happy to have my star on the Walk of Fame with all the other people who have done a wonderful job in this town.”

Mariah Carey has become the latest star to appear on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame.

The iconic musician released her first album in 1990 – and went on to achieve worldwide fame.

Mariah Carey’s addition to the celebrated sidewalk- the 2,556th overall – has been in the works since 2007 but was only recently finalized.

“Her team wanted a date after [she] finished her sold-out Las Vegas residency,” says one Walk of Frame producer.

Mariah Carey is one of the most successful artists in music as she had 18 No. 1 hits, sold more than 200 million albums and won five Grammys. Joining her at Wednesday’s unveiling are directors Lee Daniels (who directed her in Precious) and Brett Ratner as well music producer and record executive L.A. Reid and, of course, her kids.
