Miley Cyrus Twerking in Unicorn Onesie to WOP
Miley Cyrus spoke excitedly about her “twerking” video that went viral this week during her interview on KIIS FM’s On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Friday morning.
“I can’t believe how many people think I’m good at twerking – which is dope -like my life goal has been accomplished,” Miley Cyrus told the radio host.
“I thought it was so weird, but I’m glad that everyone understands my humor.”
Miley Cyrus, 20, was referring to a video that she shared of herself on Wednesday dancing to J Dash’s track Wop while wearing a unicorn onesie.
The dance style, known as “twerking, requires a lot of rump shaking and squatting”, something which Miley Cyrus performed with ease.
“You can’t really explain [twerking]” Miley Cyrus said during the interview.
“It’s something that comes naturally…It’s a lot of booty action.”
Miley Cyrus explained how the video – which has received more than 6 million hits – came about.
“I had a photo shoot earlier that day and so I didn’t really want to get dressed, so I wore the unicorn onesie and my friend was like, <<Everyone is gone, we have the backdrop and the lighting>>. So I started dancing and said, <<Here’s my phone will you record it real quick>>,” she said.
However, the star admitted she wasn’t totally unprepared.
“I’ve been practicing probably for the past two years, in my own time in my living room,” the singer said.
Miley Cyrus posted a picture of herself at Ryan Seacrest’s studio in a cheeky squat next to a poster with her trending hashtag: “#MCTWERKTEAM”
She was also there to support Ryan Seacrest at the debut of his new multimedia broadcast center Seacrest Studios.
