Firefighters were called to the Six Flags theme park after a fault occurred on the Joker’s Jinx.
The ride ground to a halt leaving the passengers stranded 46ft up in the air at the Six Flags adventure park.
The riders were finally rescued after five hours.
No injuries have been reported but park workers sheltered the riders with umbrellas to give them some relief from the blistering sun.
