Sometimes referred to as the “beardless brother” because he’s the only clean shaven Robertson, Alan joined the cast of Duck Dynasty for the premier of the fourth season, an episode which broke several cable television ratings records. Previously a local pastor for twenty years, Alan Robertson joined the show and the family business so he could expand his ministry and share the word of God with a larger audience.
“I’m so excited Alan is joining our event,” said Rick Wheat, CEO of Louisiana Methodist Children’s Home.
“Alan and Si make a great team and I expect we’ll all hear an entertaining message about the importance of family and faith. I can’t wait for the event and I’m encouraging everyone to join us for a fun evening.”
The program begins at 6:30 p.m. at Louisiana Tech University’s Thomas Assembly Center. General admission tickets to the program with Alan and Si Robertson are $25 for adults, $15 for youth/students, and $12.50 each for groups of 15 or more.
There are also tickets remaining to the special “meet and greet” reception with Alan and Si Robertson beginning at 5:00pm. The reception includes a professional photo with Si and Alan Robertson, silent and live auction, refreshments, and reserved seating at the main event. Tickets to the reception are $275 each or $500 for two.
Sponsorships are still available and companies are encouraged to consider sponsoring the event or purchasing a block of tickets for employees and customers. Current event sponsors include WildHorse Resources, Brennan Dodge, Bank of Ruston, Argent Financial, Princeton Place, Arbor Lakes, Leslie Lakes Retirement Center, Red Peach Radio, The Radio People, Graphic Industries, Children’s Home board member Jeanne Browning, and Aramark.

The happy couple celebrated the event in a ceremony attended by by their daughter and son, Trasa Cobern and Scott Robertson, with their families.
Si Robertson wrote on his Facebook page: “Hey Jack! Check out this issue of @usweekly @KixBrooks It’s got pictures of #MeandMySmokinHotHoney in it from this weekend when we renewed our vows in West Monroe! Yep, been in love with Christine for over 43 years now!”
Duck Dynasty’s Uncle Si Robertson and his wife Christine celebrated their very first wedding ceremony after 43 years of marriage, on Saturday, May 3, Us Weekly reported.
Si and Christine Robertson tied the knot in 1971, but never had a proper wedding after their justice-of-the-peace nuptials.

According to Us Weekly, Si and Christine Robertson celebrated their special day under a white tent at their son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Marsha Robertson.
Christine was escorted by her 2-year-old grandsons, Connorand Logan Robertson, as she made her way down the aisle to Si, who dressed in a camouflage tuxedo jacket. The bride and groom were feted by their Duck Dynasty family, and even got a special video message from actor Kirk Cameron.
For the first time ever, Si Robertson, 66, gifted Christine with a diamond wedding ring at the altar.
Si and Christine Robertson partied afterward at a green and purple themed reception. The crowd was entertained by the Nashville band The Mauldin Brothers and feasted on barbecue food, cooked up by local restaurant Podnuh’s. The Sweet Shop of Blue Ridge provided dozens of cupcakes, and kids had their very own dessert table that included push-up pops.

America’s favorite uncle is kind of like the Kramer of Duck Dynasty.
He is known for his storytelling, his constant use of the phrase “Hey!” and his ever-present blue plastic cup, which his mother sent him while he was stationed in Vietnam.
Uncle Si is often filmed carrying around a jug of sweet tea and he loves pizza.
Duck Dynasty and NASCAR fans, who flocked to Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday hoping to watch the Duck Commander 500 race alongside the Robertson family, were disappointed by delays due to inclement weather.
After waiting for hours, the race was eventually postponed to Monday morning because the track was too wet to race safely after the rain stopped.
The Sprint Cup race begins at noon ET on Monday. The Texas Motor Speedway went all out for the Duck Commander 500 race.
Concession stands were stocked with Uncle Si’s iced tea and Duck Commander BBQ and trimmings, and the stars of Duck Dynasty had various roles to play in the highly anticipated race.
Uncle Si Robertson sported a red jumpsuit and was planning to serve as the grand marshal, and Phil Robertson was set to waive the green flag to start the race.

Jase Robertson was going to introduce the drivers, and his brother Willie had planned to present the winner’s trophy at Victory Lane.
Phil and Alan Robertson were also scheduled to speak at the Sunday morning “Racing with Faith” service.
The Robertsons, who have often traveled to the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and were excited to sponsor their first NASCAR event at the Texas Motor Speedway, still managed to have a good time at the event.
While many family members were unable to fulfill their duties at the race, 16-year-old Sadie Robertson prayed over the crowd as they waited for the race to begin, and Missy Robertson sang the national anthem.
Hopefully fans will be able to catch the Robertson family next year. World News Group reports that Duck Commander, the Robertson family’s duck call and hunting gear business, has a three-year sponsorship at Texas Motor Speedway.
Willie Robertson says he believes that the Duck Commander brand is “more than just duck hunting”
“It says family and being positive and a lot of things that we see in NASCAR – it’s a family sport. We’re tickled to have our brand associated with it.”
NASCAR driver Clint Bowyer, who made an appearance on Season 2 of Duck Dynasty, has proved to be the Robertson favorite for the Duck Commander 500 race.

Duck Commander Family Foods and Chinook USA will launch Uncle Si’s Iced Tea – a new ready to drink beverage in four flavors – at the Duck Commander 500 NASCAR race at Texas Motor Speedway in Ft. Worth on April 6.
Uncle Si’s Iced Tea will be one of the first ready to drink beverages on the market based on an individual – Duck Dynasty Si Robertson.
Although Si Robertson is not a chef, nor a tea sommelier, he said: “Hey look, all the time when I go out people are asking me all about my iced tea, how do you cook it? What type is it?
“So Finally I just decided, hey… I’ll stop all the questions because I am gonna come out with Si’s Iced Tea. Then, I’ll let y’all be the judge. Y’all try it and tell me what you think.”
Duck Commander Family Foods and Chinook USA will launch Uncle Si’s Iced Tea at the Duck Commander 500 NASCAR race on April 6
Uncle Si’s Iced Tea found its beginnings, the brand says, in the late 1960s when Si Robertson served in the US Army in Vietnam. His mother sent him a set of blue Tupperware cups, boots and two jars of jalapeño peppers. To this day, those blue plastic cups are cherished and Uncle Si is rarely seen without one of them filled with iced tea. As Duck Dynasty grew in popularity, hundreds of fan posts cited Uncle Si’s iced tea. Creating it as an RTD beverage was a natural next step in response to broad fan interest.
Based on the Robertson family’s traditional recipe, the brand says, Uncle Si’s Iced Tea is naturally brewed with premium hand-select tea. Uncle Si’s Iced Tea also features natural ingredients, and no artificial ingredients, powders or synthetics.
Chinook USA says these are Uncle Si’s Iced Tea product highlights:
– Quality hand-selected tea
– Natural product
– Hot brewed
– Sweetened with real can sugar
– Real fruit juices
– Traditional Robertson family recipe and a Duck Commander favorite
– True premium taste
Uncle Si’s Iced Tea will launch with a 16 oz. PET bottle size in Sweet, Un-Sweet flavors, Peach and Half & Half (half lemonade, half iced tea) flavors will be available in spring 2014. Half gallon and full gallon sizes will also hit stores in late spring.
Chinook USA says that using the Robertson family recipes, the product was formulated by the award-winning iced tea development team at S&S Coffee & Yea out of Concord, North Carolina.

The Duck Commander family is known for their long, flowing beards. In this photographic picture book with whimsical, rhyming text, objects both animate and inanimate are given the Duck Commander family treatment – with beards.
Whether it’s a dog, a truck, or a duck, one thing’s for sure: Everything’s better with a beard.

The latest episode of Duck Dynasty revealed how Willie Robertson broke the family rule of never being late for duck hunting.
Uncle Si Robertson said: “Willie broke the cardinal rule of duck hunting and that rule is wake up in time to go duck hunting.”
Last year, Willie Robertson woke up late for opening day of duck season, a first for the Robertson men. So this year he was forced to help prepare all of Phil Robertson’s 64 duck blinds.
“I must say that I’ve never known a Robertson son to sleep in the opening day of duck season. You just wouldn’t do something like that. Ever,” said Phil Robertson.
It wasn’t enough to just subject his son to hard manual labor, Phil and Si also spent the day bossing around the Duck Commander CEO.

“Out here on the land we go by age,” explained Si Robertson who was having a little too much fun ordering around his nephew.
“Look, the boy needs to get his delicate little CEO hands dirty and callused. He’s the commander general. I’m second in command and Willie he’s way down on the bottom of the totem pole.”
“Make one simple mistake about hunting and pay dearly for it with humiliation and hard labor,” whined Willie.
“Welcome to the Robertson family.”
While Willie worked, the rest of the Robertson men were busy helping Jep get out of a bind.

In this week’s episode of Duck Dynasty, Si Robertson’s coworkers at the Duck Commander warehouse learned some new and disgusting habits from the Vietnam War veteran.
Uncle Si’s nephew, Jase Robertson, commented on throwing away the hardened drop of mustard that sits over the dispenser. Like most people, he finds that part to be gross.
Not Uncle Si though who says his life motto is “waste not, want to”.
“It tastes good and it’s chewy,” Si Robertson explained while disgusting all of his coworkers who were avoiding doing work.
But Willie Robertson found a way to motivate his crew: ice cream.
“As CEO, I’ve learned that motivating people is hard,” he said.
Si Robertson’s coworkers at the Duck Commander warehouse learned some new and disgusting habits from the Vietnam War veteran
So in order to get the Duck Commander crew working again, Willie Robertson bought a soft serve ice cream place.
Unfortunately for Willie, his tactics didn’t work because they were “manipulative” according to Jase.
Instead, Jase Robertson updated a four wheeler that he bought without permissions on his corporate card.
While Willie disciplined his brother on abusing his position at Duck Commander, he couldn’t deny Jase’s idea worked.
“When I was growing up, my parents taught me the value of hard work and when you’re running a business it’s easy to get caught up in trying to make sure everyone is working hard all the time,” said Willie Robertson.
“What I’ve learned is that life can’t be all about work,” he continued.
“Sometimes the best way to get people to work hard, is to let them have a little fun first.”
“Because even though hard work is important, everybody deserves a little fun. even if your definition of fun is sending your grown son little smiley faces and hearts even stinking minute,” Willie Robertson concluded.
Six stars of Duck Dynasty show were out on the town in Charleston, West Virginia, Saturday night for the Dare to be a Duck event to help raise money for a youth-led ministry program.
Si Robertson, Miss Kay Robertson, Korie Robertson, Alan Robertson, Sadie Robertson, John Luke Robertson and special guest Chrys Howard, the mother of Korie and grandmother of Sadie and John Luke, and her husband Alan featured the event.
The night was sponsored by Youth Commission ministries.

“We have students who love the Lord and are trying to make a difference in their homes, trying to make a difference in the community, and also on their school campus,” said YCI’s President and CEO Dennis Williams.
The club encourages kids to take a stand for their beliefs, just like the famous and quirky family they watch every week. Dennis Williams hopes to get more kids involved and let them know that they’re not alone.
The crowd welcomed Duck Dynasty stars with open arms, and couldn’t wait to meet in person the popular personalities of the hit show.
On the last episode of Duck Dynasty, Willie and Jase Robertson argue over an old GI Joe toy.
This leads them into a debate over who would make a better soldier.

“There are some people who got it and some who don’t. Hey, I’ve ALWAYS had it! Today, I am blessed to celebrate Valentines day with my wonderful wife!” Uncle Si wrote on Facebook.
Si Robertson is happily married to Christine for more than 40 years. They have two children together, a son – Scott Robertson, and a daughter – Trasa Cobern Robertson.
Duck Dynasty’s Si Robertson alongside Ashley Howard Nelson, Korie Robertson’s sister, are taking the reins and launching a new venture with Wes Melcher, owner of Double Infinity Ranch.
Together they have partnered in ownership of a Louisiana-bred Thoroughbred filly that will be named Sithechristmas elf.
The two-year-old racehorse is currently being trained at Double Infinity Ranch in Sulphur Springs, Texas, and is slated to make her debut in summer 2014.
With just three years of experience in the Thoroughbred racing industry, Wes Melcher has already had an enormous amount of success.

He recently purchased a large commercial horse operation in Sulphur Springs and has developed it into a top-notch Thoroughbred facility, complete with a racetrack, under the Double Infinity Ranch banner.
Si Robertson has parlayed his Duck Dynasty fame into many commercial endorsements and projects and is excited to be involved with this sport, especially in his home state of Louisiana. Uncle Si is expected to make several appearances to support Double Infinity Ranch and Sithechristmas elf in 2014.

Last night’s episode of Duck Dynasty showed how Willie and Jase Robertson settled their beef in the only way a redneck knows how.
“As an older brother, Jase has always acted like he’s better at everything,” complained Willie Robertson.
“One time he even told me he was better at flipping channels. But this time Jase has bitten off more than he can chew.”
“The whole town? You don’t make the best burger in the family!” Jase Robertson told his younger brother Willie.
“I make better burgers than you.”
At first, the two asked Uncle Si Robertson to settle the feud but Si was no help. When asked if he preferred Willie’s burgers to Jase’s, Si Robertson answered he preferred Phil’s first and then Miss Kay’s.
“I have to eat one from both of you,” said Si Robertson.
“In a burger-eating competition, there’s no question Willie is your man but this is a burger-making competition,” said a confident Jase Robertson.
“Willie is going down. I’m like the redneck Emeril Lagasse.”
While the two competitors made their way to the grocery store to pick up ingredients, youngest brother Jep Robertson got roped into helping his father get rid of his unwanted junk.
“Around here, stuff tends to pile up,” said Phil Robertson.
Willie and Jase Robertson settle beef in redneck style
“A whole lot of what most people would characterize as junk.”
When Jep Robertson showed up looking for old newspapers for his wife Jessica to use in an arts and crafts project, his father Phil capitalized on the situation.
“When my son comes rolling in, I have to seize upon the opportunity,” explained Phil Robertson.
“Next thing you know, the pile’s not there anymore.”
But Jep Robertson wasn’t falling for his father’s old tricks that easily.
Phil Robertson tried to unload old phonebooks and other paper goods on his son, but Jep stayed true to his mission and only accepted the paper.
“I’ve seen my dad try to set this kind of trap before,” Jep Robertson said.
“I came up for a few stacks of newspaper and that’s what I’m going to leave with.”
But it wasn’t long before Phil Robertson had Jep lugging a pick up truck full of junk to the recycling center.
It wasn’t until Jep Robertson had almost finished unloading the old newspapers, did Phil reveal they were covered in rat pee.
“Subdivision people, [rat pee] runs through them like sauce in a cat,” Phil Robertson said as he warned Jep to wash his hands well after touching the paper.
“Most dads would just ask for their sons help,” Jep Robertson said.
“My dad is different. But most fathers don’t have thousands of newspapers soaked with rat pee. Rat pee in my beard, thanks dad.”
Back at the Duck Commander warehouse, no duck calls were being made per usual and the boys began their cook off.
The competition got serious when Willie Robertson asked to borrow Jase’s pan.
“[Willie] wants to share [a pan] in a burger cook off?” a bewildered Jase Robertson asked.
“As competitive as Willie is, the man doesn’t understand competition.”
“Would Batman give the Penguin his bat mobile? Would I give a duck a bulletproof vest? Of course not!”
In the end, the two brothers only proved that the burger making business is better left to Phil and Miss Kay. Even Duck Commander employee and food enthusiast John Godwin couldn’t stomach their patties.
Sources close to Duck Dynasty cast revealed that family patriarch Phil Robertson is jealous of his brother Si’s popularity.
“Phil is just plain fit to be tied that Si has become the most favorite Robertson with fans of the show, and it’s driven a wedge between them,” a Robertson family friend told the National Enquirer.
Tensions brewed when A&E executives floated the idea of Si Robertson getting his own spinoff TV show – and he decided to think it over.
“When SI didn’t immediately reject the idea, Phil blew a fuse because he’s got plans to ditch A&E altogether and do his own show where he can preach the gospel all he wants without producers interfering,” said the source.
It appears Phil Robertson is jealous of his brother Si Robertson’s popularity
“Phil’s already rich and not interested in money, he just wants to have more control over his message. But now Si is throwing a monkey wrench into his plans by considering A&E’s idea of him doing his own show.”
Si Robertson, 65, wasn’t even supposed to be on Duck Dynasty in the first place.
“He tagged along to one of the meetings with A&E producers and they really liked his personality,” said the source.
“So they decided to sign him up. Then his popularity just took off, and that got under Phil’s skin. The feud is actually quite troubling to both of them. Phil is Si’s big brother and has always looked after him. When Si came out of the Army after 20 years and really didn’t have any direction, Phil hired him to work for his Duck Commander business.
“For now, everyone’s just hoping they can make peace.”
Duck Dynasty fans were treated to a Si Robertson takeover on last night’s episode.
Uncle Si Robertson strapped a camera on top of a war helmet to give viewers a point-of-view look into the life of Si.
“Gentlemen, I present Si-vision,” said Jase Robertson.
“From this moment on, okay hey, the truth will be known,” Si Robertson announced to the camera.
“No one will be able to look at Si Robertson again with a crooked eye and say, <<Hey! That guy’s head ain’t on right>>.”
Si Robertson wanted to make sure his viewers were able to get a complete look into the Si experience so he strapped a second camera to his chest.
“I’ve got one camera looking at me and then I’ve got another one on my chest where you can see what a shorter version of me sees,” he explained.
One person who definitely would not be tuning in was Jase Robertson.
“This is going to get real old fast,” he said.
“This is gonna be what they call a classic,” Si Robertson said very confidently.
“This is all nonfiction Jack. Hey look! You can’t make this stuff up.”
Uncle Si Robertson strapped a camera on top of a war helmet to give viewers a point-of-view look into the life of Si
But what started off as a “duck-umentary” of one man, navigating life as a duck call maker, somehow turned into a war movie.
“I know I said it would be a documentary about my life,” he admitted.
“Now it’s turning into an epic war movie.”
Sick of Si Robertson’s crazy antics, Jase, Jep and their Duck Commander coworkers Justin Martin and John Godwin set off on a long-awaited hunting trip and reluctantly brought along their uncle.
“Whenever hunting season rolls around, let just say it’s pretty difficult to focus on work,” said Jase.
But before they could head out for the hunt, Si Robertson had to take a bathroom break, which he of course filmed.
“In goes the good tea, out goes the bad tea,” Uncle Si said on camera.
“Can we go hunting now or are we going to sit around and talk about what happened or what didn’t happen in the Vietnam War?” Jase Robertson asked Uncle Si.
Once finally in the great outdoors, Si Robertson managed to turn what should have been a hunting trip into an episode of Oprah Winfrey.
“Speak into my chest and let’s get it off of your chest,” Si Robertson said as he asked Jase to share his feelings with him on camera.
“Bring the real Jason Robertson forward.”
“I don’t share my feelings with mad men,” Jase Robertson responded.
“That’s your problem,” explained Uncle Si.
“Treat me like Oprah.”
Jase Robertson began to notice that his Uncle was starting to get out of hand with the whole filming everything thing.
“Once you start comparing yourself to Oprah, things get uncomfortable just like a nature calling amongst a cactus thicket,” said Jase Robertson.
Si Robertson’s documenting started to scare off all of the deer so he was kicked out of the duck blind. It was either that or his Oprah comment.
“This deer hunting movie [has] turned into a survival movie” he said as he exited the blind.
“That’s what happens when you’re comrade desert you.”
Phil Robertson wouldn’t stand for his sibling’s shenanigans.
“You need to turn that mess off Si, and get back to reality,” Phil Robertson told Uncle Si.

Si Robertson’s wife, Christine, was finally mentioned by name on Duck Dynasty Season 5 premiere.
Few details were known about Si Robertson’s wife, but, on the season premiere, there was a scene where Miss Kay asked Uncle Si where Christine was. He responded that she was out of town with friends.
Although Christine Robertson had chosen not to participate in the filming of the reality series about the Robertsons, fans have made every attempt to find out what they can about her and the rest of Uncle Si’s family.

Si Robertson has also brought every single movie in the Air Bud franchise.
“Look, I’m a connoisseur when it comes to animal sports movies – Air Bud is an epic classic,” Si Robertson says.
“It blows Rudy out of the water … it makes Field of Dreams look like Rookie of the Year.”
Phil Robertson can’t agree because it’s too unrealistic. He prefers the Bourne series.

There was also a lot of talk of microbes throughout the two episodes. Phil Robertson thinks Uncle Si is a hypochondriac who has claimed to have everything from bird flu to sausage fingers.
In the second part of the show, Phil Robertson has his own bizarre microbe philosophies.
Jep Robertson says his father used to expose them to microbes all the time to build up immunities. Phil Robertson suggests Jep do the same for his kids by having them go outside and throw dung at each other.
Meanwhile, Uncle Si organized an age-inappropriate treasure hunt for Jep’s kids that was as confusing to its participants as it was to the audience. It culminated in digging up candy buried in what appeared to be a grave site.

Duck Dynasty Season 5 premiered last night on A&E with two episodes.
Viewers were introduced to Rebecca Robertson, a Taiwanese foreign exchange student that Willie and his wife Korie adopted 10 years ago.
Rebecca Robertson, 24, studied fashion in LA, but then came back to Louisiana for what Willie thought was a visit. But when Rebecca brings a million suitcases and a French bull dog, it’s clear that this isn’t a two-day trip. Rebecca, however, is welcomed home with open arms and a planned out surprise party — the Robertson men bought a banner that says “Congratulations” instead of “Welcome Home” because it was on sale.

The other new character is a family member of Korie Robertson. John David is Willie’s new assistant who Jase Robertson said only got hired because: “He just wanted someone heavier and hairier so that he would look better by comparison.”
At first there’s tension in the workplace — John David wears flip flops, brings lukewarm donuts, and doesn’t know how to blow a duck call — but he makes up for it after he buys the team a new basketball.
John David won a place in Willie’s heart because he can recite Nacho Libre ad nauseam.

“I don’t always see or hear things as well as I used to, and it is easy to mistake Willie for Santa. That is the basis for my new rendition of this holiday classic,” Si Robertson said.

In a video filmed while making Duck The Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas, Si Robertson gets a little emotional while sharing his favorite Christmas memory.
“We lived in a farming community. The hands that drive the tractors. . . they don’t make a lot of money,” Uncle Si Robertson recalls.
“Daddy had fell off an oil rig, broke his back and was not working.”
Si Robertson, 65, grew up in Vivian, Louisiana, with six siblings. When his mother, Merrit Robertson, was asked by a wife of one of the farmhands what she was getting the kids for Christmas that year, she said there wasn’t going to be a Christmas due to the lack of income.

“Two weeks later, [the woman] comes back and hands mama an envelope,” Uncle Si recalls.
“It was something like $500 or $600 in an envelope with <<Merry Christmas>> on it for the kids.”
“That’s my favorite Christmas memory,” Si Robertson adds, appearing to get a little choked up.
“This is people that didn’t have much, giving a lot. Which is what Christmas is all about: giving.”
