Duck Dynasty’s Sadie Robertson hit the dance floor with Mark Ballas on Dancing with the Stars as the new season premiered last night.
When Sadie Robertson, 17, jetted out to Los Angeles to star in the show she didn’t forget to pack her daily devotional, a gift from her mom Korie Robertson.

“Packing for La thank you @bosshogswife for my devotional book to take with me. God comes with me no matter where I go,” Sadie Robertson shared on her Instagram page alongside a picture of the frontcover.
Mark Ballas promised something special from Team Quack Attack on his Twitter, saying: “Y’all ain’t even ready for these moves.”
Sadie Robertson’s aunt, Missy, praised her last night performance on Facebook: “I think every Robertson got a little misty-eyed tonight after watching our sweet Sadie Howard Robertson shine on the dance floor tonight! (Well, maybe except Papaw Phil, but he was proud too.
Sadie Robertson, daughter of Duck Dynasty’s Willie and Korie Robertson, attended the Madison Academy Junior/Senior Banquet at Burritt on the Mountain with Madison Academy student Blake Coward.

“I got the privilege to take Sadie to Jr/Sr last night,” said Blake Coward via Facebook message.
Blake Coward is a junior, and plays football and baseball for the Madison Academy Mustangs.
Sadie Robertson, 16, has cousins who attend Madison Academy, and she met Blake Coward while attending one of their softball games.
“I asked her on a date later,” said Blake Coward.
“It went great and then I visited her in Louisiana about a month later and we have been dating for three months now.”
In a recent interview with FOX411, Duck Dynasty‘s Sadie Robertson revealed faith is her number one priority.
“I think people use fame as an excuse to lose their faith,” Sadie Robertson, 16, has said.
“Faith is obviously my number one priority and I think you need to put God at the top of everything you do.”
Sadie Robertson also said she is using her fame to help promote family values.
“When we began <<Duck Dynasty>>, we weren’t starting it for fame,” she said.
“We started it to get the message of God out there.”
Sadie Robertson said her family’s show helped to fill a hole in today’s television programming by providing wholesome, Christian values for families to enjoy together.
“We could have easily done a reality show like everyone else,” she said.

“But it’s our faith that catches people’s eyes because sadly, it’s not something we’re used to seeing [on TV] these days.”
Sadie Robertson pointed out that there are several new Christian-themed films coming out this year.
“It just takes one person to take a stance and begin doing something different. We think [the show] has done a good job of getting out God’s message.”
The family sat down for one of their weekly dinners to set up some ground rules before they signed on for the reality show.
“We had a family dinner before the show started and we talked about if at any time in this journey that God is not first, then we have to put the show away,” Sadie Robertson recalled.
“If we start to think of ourselves too highly, we remember that we were happy before the show and we will be happy after the show.”
They even came up with a secret phrase should any family member start to let the fame get to their heads.
“At the dinner, my Uncle [Si] said, <<Remember the Alamo?>>” she explained they simply utter the sentence to remind the person to stay grounded.
Sadie Robertson has seen success outside of Duck Dynasty reality show.
At just 16, Sadie Robertson has sung a duet with country super star Allison Kraus, walked the runway in New York fashion week and co-hosts a popular Youtube series called The New Different with Preacher’s Daughters star Kolby Koloff.
“We started <<The New Different>> because we saw all of these people get famous from doing stupid things on Vine and YouTube and we thought if they can put the stupidest things online and have millions of views, why don’t we start a Christian-based video series?”
Sadie Robertson said it “was a God thing” when fellow reality star Kolby Koloff moved to Louisiana and they started producing the weekly series to cover the “daily struggles that teenagers go through” to give them “words of encouragement each week”.

According to the Montgomery Advertiser, Sadie Robertson made the comments during a fundraiser for Prattville Christian Academy.
The teenager said her family has decided not to talk about the controversy resulting from anti-gay comments made by her grandfather, Phil Robertson.
Sadie Robertson said the family, of West Monroe, Louisiana, is glad to be back together because Phil Robertson is the leader and they couldn’t do anything without him.

Sadie Robertson, daughter of Duck Dynasty stars Willie and Korie Robertson, posted on Facebook a picture of herself wearing a red dress from Sherri Hill line of prom dresses in the Louisiana swamp.
The prom dress, including ones that Sadie Robertson modeled in at the Sherri Hill’s New York Fashion Week on September 9th, is part of her effort to create a clothing line that promotes modesty, a biblical value and a matter of heart that are increasingly unfamiliar in today’s fashion trends.

Sadie Robertson, 16, has attracted much attention after modeling in the prom dresses that received her father Willie Robertson’s approval at fashion show in New York, where the entire Robertson clan attended the event to show their support.
She teamed up with popular design for young women’s formal wear to create the “Sadie Robertson Live Original by Sherri Hill” collection.
While the gowns are designed by Sherri Hill, Sadie Robertson would choose which dresses she wanted as part of her modest clothing line.
The prom dresses collection will be available in the spring of 2014.
Duck Dynasty’s Sadie Robertson was part of her Louisiana high school’s homecoming court this fall along with her older brother John Luke.
John Luke Robertson stuck to a traditional black tuxedo and his sister Sadie enjoyed a few wardrobe changes, picking a strapless dress embroidered with bright flowers and cinched with a skinny black belt for the dance and wearing a chic red and black coat and a black wide-brim hat for her appearance on the field.

Homecoming weekend was a family affair for the close-knit Robertsons: father Willie escorted Sadie out on the field, a buouttionere tucked into his sport coat and a stars-and-stripes band around his head, and mom Korie and grandma Chrys helped design Sadie’s sophomore class float.
Sadie Robertson, who is also class vice president, served as a sophomore maid and John Luke was a junior escort.
“It’s fun to have my dad walk me across the field and see that he’s proud to be my escort,” Sadie Robertson said.
“My best friend, Anna Catherine, was a sophomore maid, too. We pretty much have done everything together since preschool, so loved getting to be on the court with her.”

Duck Dynasty’s Sadie Robertson is producing weekly video devotionals on Monday nights called I Am Different.
Sadie Robertson, 16, is also designing a clothing line in an effort to encourage modesty in a culture where fashion trends are often contrary to the ways of the Lord.
Willie Robertson’s daughter does not have a typical teenage lifestyle. The high school student from Monroe, Louisiana loves the Lord, is close with her family, and excels in sports – and she also happens to be a reality television star.
Sadie Robertson told TC Magazine that she realizes that God has given her fame in order for her to make a difference for Christ.
“When we were little and said our prayers at night, I would always say, <<God, please give me an opportunity to make a difference in this world>>. I mean, you always want to, but you never know how to do it. Now that God’s blessed us with this TV show, here’s that opportunity,” she said.
Even though the producers of A & E’s hit show Duck Dynasty edit out much of the Robertson’s faith-based lives, Sadie says that people have been positively impacted by even so much as the short prayer that patriarch Phil Robertson prays over the family meal at the end of each episode.
Sadie Robertson knows that her status as a television star will give her an opportunity to be a good example for other young women.
Sadie Robertson and her best friend, Kolby Koloff, have created I Am Different, a weekly devotional video series on YouTube
“I think it’s awesome that people see something in me that’s different, but it’s really a challenge to me and my spiritual way and everything. If little girls are looking up to me, I’ve got to be the example they need. If I’m going to claim that I’m different from everybody else on TV, I’ve got to be different than everybody else. It’s encouraging to me and really helping me to be a better person,” she said.
Sadie Robertson and her best friend, Kolby Koloff, have created I Am Different, a weekly devotional video series on YouTube.
“People think they need to be a part of the world to have fun. To see that we can have fun and still be Christian-based, that’s cool, that’s different,” she said.
Kolby Koloff and Sadie Robertson are hoping and praying that the devotions will expand peoples’ way of thinking.
“The world’s view is completely opposite from God’s view,” said Sadie Robertson in the introduction video.
The girls plan to release a YouTube video via their Twitter account, @_i_am_different, each Monday.
Sadie Robertson is also creating her own line of conservative prom dresses. The collection will be available in the spring of 2014.

Duck Dynasty’s Sadie Robertson recently weighed in on Miley Cyrus’s VMAs performance.
“My family has been praying for her [Miley Cyrus’s] family,” Sadie Robertson, 16, told FOX411.
“We feel very bad for her because we know how entertainment can get wrapped up in your head. We try to stay strong as a family. We just pray that their family comes back together.”
“I would never twerk in public,” the teenage added.

“It is not modest to me but for the girls out there that do, it’s their decision.”
Sadie Robertson’s father, Willie, added that raising kids in the public eye can be a challenge.
“It’s tough,” the Duck Commander CEO said.
“You know, the whole world is different now, so everyone knows who you are. It wasn’t the way we were raised because we were raised really poor so nobody knew who we were. We’ll put it in the Lord’s hands and see what happens.”
Duck Dynasty premiered in spring 2012, and last month’s Season 4 premiere drew 11.8 million viewers, making it the most-viewed non-fiction telecast in cable TV history.

Sadie Robertson said she likes to design dresses that are “unique” and “daddy-approved”, but she also has a celebrity fashion icon that she admires.
“I’ve been saying Carrie Underwood,” she said.
“She’s a country girl and she dresses very nice, classy.”
Korie Robertson also revealed that Sadie will be lending her voice to the upcoming Duck the Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas album.
“Sadie sings on it. Yeah, she has a couple of solos,” Korie Robertson said.
“And Willie wrote a song for it, so it’s really a lot of fun.”

“I’ve done small [fashion-related] things in Louisiana, but this is New York Fashion Week,” she said.

Sadie’s great-uncle, Si Robertson, also told E! News that this was definitely his first-ever fashion show – “and it’ll probably be the last”.

While you might expect Duck Dynasty reality show about a Louisiana family of self-avowed “rednecks” to be an unfriendly environment for women, it is quite the opposite.
The women of Duck Dynasty are respected, and they are strong.
Miss Kay Robertson, the matriarch of the family, has been married to her husband Phil for nearly 50 years and has four sons. Although she is sometimes portrayed as silly or out-of-touch, she is a woman of dignity and substance.
Viewers learn that Phil and Kay Robertson endured difficulties during their decades of marriage, including Phil’s struggle with alcohol abuse and eventual return to sobriety. Now, Phil Robertson is a man of God, and Miss Kay is the apple of his eye. In spite of Phil Robertson’s occasionally obtuse generalizations about women – comparing them to labrador retrievers or declaring that all women like romantic tearjerkers – he reveres Miss Kay. He constantly praises her character, her gentleness, and her mothering, and he also affirms the loveliness of her full figure. If Phil Robertson’s adoration is any indication of Miss Kay’s integrity, then she is a fine woman indeed.
As an additional testimony to Miss Kay Robertson’s legacy, her sons also married women of great character.
Real housewives of Duck Dynasty
Korie is married to Willie Robertson, the CEO of Duck Commander. They married just after high school and have five children. She works as the office manager of the family business, and she’s a get-things-done kind of woman. Viewers witness her leadership over church and family events and catch glimpses of her important role in the company. Korie Robertson seems to have a natural instinct for business and marketing.
Korie and Willie Robertson’s daughter, Sadie, also has a prominent role on the show. Sadie navigates adolescent milestones such as learning to drive or attending a school dance, all with the “help” of a protective father and quirky family members. It’s also clear that Sadie Robertson has inherited her parents’ entrepreneurial spirit and passion for ministry, as she has recently debuted a weekly video devotional and hopes to produce a modest clothing line.
Missy is married to Jase Robertson, another one of Phil and Kay’s sons. Missy is very involved in the family and seems to have a playful relationship with her husband. Although the show portrays her as being somewhat high-strung, Missy Robertson seems to be a hard worker, a diligent wife and mother, and a woman of faith.
Jessica is married to Jep Robertson, Phil and Kay’s youngest son, and they have four children together. Jessica Robertson rarely appeared in the first season but she emerged as a more frequent character in the second and third. She seems to have a sweet disposition and is a friend to her fellow Robertson sisters-in-law.
Although Duck Dynasty sometimes defaults to gender stereotypes – i.e. the “citified” daughters-in-law who hate to hunt, or the slacker husbands who want to squander the day fishing and not showering – the characters are both loving and deep.
The women of Duck Dynasty are not wallflowers, subservient doormats, or flat types. Each woman on the show has contours, has a voice, and serves as an important partner to her husband.
Furthermore, the show pushes back against shallow stereotypes of Christian womanhood. The Robertson women are not cookie cutter look-alikes. They’re not all stay-at-home moms, or incredible cooks, or silent submissives.
Korie Robertson is a businesswoman without a knack for cooking or sewing, and Miss Kay wields a gentle yet authoritative power in the family. As the two main female characters, Korie and Miss Kay Robertson are not cut from the same cloth, but each woman has her own strengths, her own areas of influence, and her own expressions of self.

Willie Robertson’s daughter is finding herself in the spotlight once again after American Idol winner Scotty McCreery serenaded Sadie at her Sweet Sixteen party last month.
The Sadie Robertson Live Original collection, available next spring, will feature retro-inspired dresses with hem lengths that are “Willie approved”.

That’s very important, as Sadie Robertson’s protective father has vetoed her prom dress choices in the past.
In last season’s Duck Be a Lady episode, the 16-year-old struggled to find a gown that both she and the stern Willie Robertson liked.
Now, Sadie Robertson and girls like her across the country won’t have to worry about finding appropriate evening wear.
Not only that, but Sadie Robertson will model her designs on the runway at Sherri Hill’s New York Fashion Week on September 9.
Duck Dynasty Season 4 premieres Wednesday, August 14, at 10 PM on A&E.

Scotty McCreery made a dream come true for 16-year-old Sadie Robertson of the hit A&E show Duck Dynasty.
Scotty McCreery played Sadie Robertson’s recent birthday party after spending an afternoon mudding with John Luke Robertson and enjoying Miss Kay’s home cooking.
The June 17 sweet 16 bash took place at a vineyard in West Monroe, Louisiana.
Us Weekly covered the party for their most recent issue, and in the magazine, fans get a glimpse of the fun, which included Willie and John Luke Robertson joining Scotty McCreery for a version of Man of Constant Sorrow.

According to Country Music Rocks, Scotty McCreery and the Robertsons first met before his recent performance at the Grand Ole Opry. He was invited to play Sadie Robertson’s party and he accepted, thinking it’d be a surprise.
Sadie Robertson knew all about it however, even requesting he play her favorite song, See You Tonight.
“This boy made my birthday the best day of my life! So thankful that he came down for my party!” she wrote on Twitter.
The day before, the singer and his bandmates went mudding in John Luke Robertson’s jeep and several four-wheelers. Later, they enjoyed friend shrimp and banana pudding before spending the night at the family’s home.
“I was blown away by their hospitality,” Scotty McCreery says.
“I like the fact that they are who they say they are; they are who they look they are on the TV show. They are good, normal folks who like to have fun.”
