R. Kelly confirmed on Thursday that he has recorded a song with Justin Bieber.
“I just did a song [with Justin Bieber],” R. Kelly told Vibe.
“[Justin Bieber] just called me to do a song and it’s hot. He wanted to go and do some R&B stuff, so we got together and did that.”
The track will come out next week, according to a tweet by Justin Bieber.

The confirmation verifies the rumors Justin Bieber started himself when he mysteriously tweeted “They aren’t ready” at R. Kelly two weeks ago.
It also explains the Instagram pictures Justin Bieber posted in January that came with the caption: “Me and my homey R. Kelly.”
Asked about collaboration in general, R. Kelly replied: “Honestly, I’m at my best one-on-one. So anybody who wants to mess with Kellz, I’m on the front line for ’em.”
R. Kelly has been very busy on the collaboration front lately. Most recently, he added some lyrics to Bruno Mars’ Gorilla. He also dropped a few verses on Lady Gaga’s ARTPOP song Do What U Want and he teamed with 2 Chainz on his own track, My Story, which will be found on the singer’s forthcoming album Black Panties.

Singer and record producer R. Kelly has a net worth of $150 million.
Born Robert Kelly on the south side of Chicago, R. Kelly dropped out of high school to perform as a subway musician, but eventually won the $100,000 prize on the television talent show Big Break.
He signed with Jive Records in 1991 and released the album Born into the 90s with his group Public Announcement; in 1993, R. Kelly released his solo debut, 12 Play, which was eventually certified six times platinum.
At the same time, the singer began a career producing records for others, including the debut album of the teenaged pop singer Aaliyah.

In 1995, his album R. Kelly sold four million copies; soon after, his single I Believe I Can Fly topped the charts and won three Grammy Awards.
R. Kelly released a series of multiple-platinum albums in the 2000s, as well as the multi-part hip-hop opera Trapped in the Closet, which he released to radio stations in short portions, and the next portion of which is due out in the spring of 2010.
In 1994, R. Kelly married the then-18-year-old Aaliyah, though the marriage was later annulled.
R. Kelly went on to marry dancer Andrea Lee in 1996; the couple had three children before divorcing in 2009.
MTV has gotten their paws on R. Kelly’s new memoir Soulacoaster, The Diary of Me, and the most surprising detail is that the King of R&B needed a hanky after watching The Notebook movie.
The cheesy 2004 romance movie was the final spark to push R. Kelly to divorce wife and former back up dancer Andrea Kelly, inciting an intense period of introspection about the woman he married in 1996 and had three children with.
“As the film credits started to roll, I couldn’t move,” wrote R. Kelly.

“I burst into tears. People walking past me patted me on the back, trying to console me. <<The Notebook>> was beautiful, and I was crying because its hero and heroine had died together. But I was also crying because I remembered a Valentine’s Day when a helicopter dropped a rainfall of roses. That had come and gone… My marriage had died. And there was nothing I could do to bring it back.”
The couple divorced in January 2009, a mere six months after R. Kelly, real name Robert Sylvester Kelly, was exonerated of all 14 counts of videotaping himself having sex with an underage girl. Talk about a Pyrrhic victory.
R. Kelly’s music will next be heard in this summer’s Whitney Houston starrer Sparkle, which he composed several new tracks for.
