Honey Boo Boo’s mother June Shannon revealed her daughter Lauryn “Pumpkin” was back in hospital this week with further complications stemming from the family’s car accident in January.
Mama June shared the news on Facebook early this morning explaining that the family was driving back home after dinner when Pumpkin, 14, got headaches, then felt nauseous and passed out several times.
She wrote: “Well we r back at the hospital with pumpkin with complication s from the car wreck that was 6 wks…we have a time with good days and a lot of bad days lately and tonight was very scary for me as a mom as we was driving down the highway after dinner pumpkin was in the back having a bad headache like she has had for the past 6 wk then the shooting pains starting got nausea but that’s been normally happening over the 6 wks then all the sudden she was like I’m about to pass out then a few mins later she

Honey Boo Boo is reportedly suffering from post-traumatic stress brought on by the recent car accident.
Alana Thompson, aka Honey Boo Boo, 8, and her family are still recovering from the incident.
Father Mike Thompson (aka Sugar Bear), Honey Boo Boo, Lauryn Shannon, Jessica Shannon, and mother June Shannon were involved in a small wreck in early January when the family vehicle was struck by a truck.
While there were no serious injuries reported, physical after effects resulted in Lauryn’s brief hospitalization.

Meanwhile, Honey Boo Boo’s road to recovery has been rocky as well.
“She has what [doctors] call post-concussion symptoms, which is like the headaches, the body aches, being dazed and confused,” Mama June explained to BANG Showbiz.
“Then she also has post-traumatic stress syndrome from being in a traumatic event. So we are just taking it one day at a time.”
While fans take in new episodes from the third season of Here Come Honey Boo Boo on TLC, the family’s recent off-screen drama has Mama June worrying that her youngest may not return to her old self.
“We are just trying to get her back to the most normal routine we can, which is going to help her healing process,” June Shannon continued.
“What is frustrating is that we don’t know what the outcome will be, or when she is going to be back to normal.”
It remains unclear how much of this story will find its way onto viewers’ television screens.
Here Comes Honey Boo Boo airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on TLC.

Honey Boo Boo’s family ventured to an arcade where Alana and Pumpkin (Lauryn) were sent to watch the two couples during a game of laser tag.
“I mean, my biggest concern for the girls, honestly is one of ‘em coming up pregnant,” June Shannon says.
“Because Anna already has a baby. I don’t wanna be a grandmother again.”

June Shannon took Phillip, Jessica’s boyfriend aside for a little talk.
“All I gotta say is you better keep your bat and your balls in your pants, your Tic Tac and your Skittle in your pants for a long time,” she says.
“I will never go on another date with mama again,” Jessica declares.

Honey Boo Boo and her family visited Savannah and Tybee Island in the latest episode of reality show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
The episode, filmed in June and titled Hubba Bubba follows the Georgia family on an RV roadtrip to Tybee Island where 8-year-old Alana Thompson, sister Lauryn “Pumpkin” and niece Katilyn see the beach for the first time.
June Shannon takes her first dip in the ocean, and the girls take their first surf lesson before ending the day with some Southern cooking at Sisters of the New South on Skidaway Road.
Kenneth Brown, operations manager at Sisters of the New South, said they knew of the family’s visit about a month in advance but had to keep quiet so it would be a surprise for the customers.
“It was a normal day for us, and all of the customers were really surprised to see them,” Kenneth Brown said.

“They were all very friendly. I think TV portrays them a certain way … as <<backwoodsy>>, but they were very down to earth, just like anyone else you would meet.”
Dorothy Bing, front line supervisor at the restaurant, waited on the family and agreed with Brown, saying what you see on television is what you get with the family.
“They’re just regular, ordinary people. They acted the same way they do on TV, acting a fool and all,” said Dorothy Bing.
She said the family enjoyed red and white velvet cake and that Mama June tried ox tails for the first time.
“I was surprised at how quiet the little girl was. She did talk, but she was a lot quieter than I thought she would be,” Dorothy Bing said.
After the family’s day of fun in the sun June Shannon gave Honey Boo Boo’s one million Facebook followers a peek into their day: “Omg had a blast on tybee today a first time ever at a beach for pumpkin katilyn and alana and my first time going in the ocean we have a awesome time just as a family and meet some fans down there now going to dinner and then maybe walking river st.”

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo returned for its third season Thursday night with two episodes featuring somewhat less flatulence and more conflict.
The reality show ended last season with June Shannon and Sugar Bear’s lavish commitment ceremony.
The first episode kicks off with a flashback to the ceremony “one month ago,” and flashes forward to present day with a trailerful of noise involving everyone being out of pads at the same time.
Honey Boo Boo’s father, Sugar Bear, won’t be moved to get some, saying that, as he lives with six females: “I know more about feminine hygiene products than any man should.”
That’s when it occurs to him that even though he loves his family more than anything, he needs to get away from them sometimes and he sets up his “manper” in the front yard – a rickety camper decked out with a deer skull, hula-girl figurine, Nerf basketball hoop and cuckoo clock. Mamma June’s not happy about it, but Sugar Bear is a happy hibernator.
Here Comes Honey Boo Boo returned for its third season
Pumpkin tries out her wanna-be beauty school tricks on her family in the living room, transformed into Poot-Poot’s Salon. Chubbs screams when her mustache gets waxed, and Mama June looks like the Cesar Romero vintage of the Joker when her face and neck are covered in avocado mask, which Honey Boo Boo says makes her look “like Beetlejuice”. Sugar Bear luxuriates in the manper, cutting up a watermelon while explaining that it’s “a freakin’ estrogen fest in there”.
Then the family takes off for the Redneck Games, an annual fest involving lots of mud, lots of rolling around in said mud and Cornbread, the redneck of the year in 2012 (it was left unclear whether he kept his title). Baby Kaitlyn wins cutest redneck and Honey Boo Boo sulks because she doesn’t take home any prizes.
The second episode opens with Honey Boo Boo, home for the summer, shunted aside by her sisters, who have boyfriends, or, in Pumpkin’s case: “I don’t need a boyfriend. I have way more important things to do. He’d just slow me down anyway.”
After Honey Boo Boo said she doesn’t want to turn out like Pumpkin, but not before a prolonged staring contest with the camera, June Shannon enrolls her in cheerleading camp for the summer.
Anna and Jessica belch with their boyfriends, and Mama June knows it’s time for the talk.
“Boys try to get in girls’ Froot Loops,” she tells them, before the discussion devolves into talk of biscuits, motorboats.
And Sugar Bear gives the boys the talk, covering all the bases. It’s important because “you guys are getting close to my girls like two roaches on a bacon bit,” and “these girls can be nuttier than a port-a-potty at a peanut festival.” Sugar Bear ends it up by urging them to “treat ‘em with respect – don’t make ‘em cry,” which is advice we could all use once in a while, especially the good folks at TLC.
The episode ends with Alana Thompson at her cheerleading performance, where she says she wants to make her family proud.

Honey Boo Boo’s family appeared on Steve Harvey’s show last month and her sister Chickadee farted in the middle of the interview.

Honey Boo Boo’s mother, June Shannon, shares her family’s favorite Thanksgiving delicacy, cranberry lasagna.
“Alana’s favorite thing is cranberry sauce,” Mama June says.
“I always have to keep it in the house, even if it’s not Thanksgiving. She loves me to make what we call our cranberry lasagna.”
The cranberry sauce cans can also be used as hand weights, as June Shannon demonstrates in a rigorous 10-second workout.

Moving on, the Mama June lists the ingredients other than cranberry sauce that you’ll need to replicate this treat: A pan, a knife, and some sugar.
“We do thoroughly enjoy cranberry sauce as a family,” June Shannon says as she slices the sauce into hockey-puck sized slabs, arranges them in the pan and then douses them with sugar.
After a couple of hours in the fridge, it’s ready.
“I hate to say it but Alana would probably, if I let her, she would eat this whole thing,” June Shannon says after sampling her handiwork and declaring it to be pretty good.
“Cranberry sauce is kind of like the food of the Gods.”

There is a confirmation that Here Comes Honey Boo Boo will be back for season 3 on TLC.
It is still unknown when it will actually air.
June Shannon is seen getting a shave from her daughter Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon in her hit show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
Mama June, 34, is shown in the season two finale of the show, preparing for her commitment ceremony with longtime love Sugar Bear.
The bride was keen that everything should be perfect for her big day, including her own personal grooming.
Loyal daughter Lauryn is seen attacking her mum’s “neck hairs” with a razor as the family prepare for the ceremony, which took place back in May.
“Mama still hasn’t shaved her neck hairs for the commitment ceremony,” Pumpkin helpfully points out.

“And I think I’m gonna help her with that so we can check it off the list.”
Once the shave is complete June Shannon is seen getting her make-up applied, choosing a bright pink lippie and green eyeshadow to get the blushing bride look.
The green makeup coordinated perfectly with Mama June’s unusual choice in wedding gown, a “camo-style” dress, with the entire family later joining the family matriarch in full on camouflage gear.
Honey Boo Boo, now 8, served as flower girl at the ceremony, which took place at the family’s home in Georgia.

June Shannon prepared to walk down the aisle in the season finale of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
Mama June, 34, is shown in a trailer, released on Monday, preparing for her commitment ceremony with longtime love Sugar Bear.
Sugar Bear, whose real name is Mike Thompson, is meanwhile seen waiting for his bride, dressed sharply in a black shirt, bright orange vest, matching tie and boutonnière.
Their 8-year-old daughter Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson served as flower girl at the ceremony and was seen in the clip dropping petals along the aisle in a pretty pink and orange dress.
As Mama June looks out to the crowd who are waiting for her under an outdoor tent, she is asked off-camera if she is nervous.
“I ain’t that nervous, might be, when I open up the door, that I’m actually doing it,” she responds.
The commitment ceremony took place in May at the family’s home in Georgia.
The ceremony also included Honey Boo Boo’s three stepsisters, who wore pink dresses with blue ribbons around their waist and carried multi-colored bouquets of flowers.
Mama June and Sugar Bear met nine years ago in an online chat room following relationship break-ups.
They hit it off and two years later welcomed Honey Boo Boo.
Sugar Bear had proposed to Mama June twice before, but after rejecting his proposals she accepted when he popped the question earlier this year.
Their precocious child shot to fame on the fly-on-the-wall pageant show Toddlers & Tiaras in 2009 and scored her own spin-off series last year.
The season two finale of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo will air on Wednesday on TLC.
Honey Boo Boo’s mother, June Shannon, has shared her top tips for perfecting her favorite pastime – couponing.
In a new trailer for Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, Mama June, 33, suggests organizing coupons in a binder with labels for each individual product, and bringing the binder to the store.
While Mama June uses coupons to score discounts on many things, she says the one item she splurges on most is toilet paper: “Because everybody’s got to wipe their ass! I mean, hello!”
June Shannon, who often refers to herself as the coupon queen, exchanged vows with her boyfriend, Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson, at her home in Georgia in May.
The trailer shows Mama June and Honey Boo Boo painstakingly clipping out coupons and sticking them into their purple binder.
Then they take their tickets to the grocery store, where they scope out the best discounts.
Mama June suggests organizing coupons in a binder with labels for each individual product, and bringing the binder to the store
“I think the thing that people most ever spend on is probably laundry detergent,” explains Mama June.
“With a coupon you can get the smaller size laundry detergent for like $2 if it’s on sale.”
June Shannon then gets confused doing the math, saying: “Buy four smaller bottles that equal the big bottle, you’re spending $4 versus $17.”
There is one product that Mama June and her gang buy without the help of her coupon collection.
“There’s not a lot of meat product coupons out there these days,” she says.
“So if you can find these, like, staple items, then you can provide that money that you saved to buy your meat.”
While toilet paper is one of her favorite items to buy with coupons, June Shannon says that she’s actually low on it at the moment, thanks to Honey Boo Boo.
The reality mom explains that when she and Sugar Bear went out for their anniversary, Honey Boo Boo and her babysitter decided to decorate the entire house – inside and outside – in toilet paper.
“I didn’t get Mama or Sugar Bear nothin’ for their anniversary,” Honey Boo Boo, who turned eight on Sunday, says in the clip.
“So I wanted to make their house very purdy.”
June Shannon rolls her eyes as she remembers the incident, saying: “We actually put my whole trash can out filled with toilet paper, when I could have used that for six months to wipe my ass with.”
Honey Boo Boo received not one but three cakes to celebrate her eighth birthday over this past weekend.
However, it seems that Honey Boo Boo didn’t even get to enjoy them, for most of the pink dessert ended up on her parent’s faces.
A food fight between Mama June and Sugar Bear broke out after Alana Thompson blew out the candles of her cake.
Over the Labor Day weekend the reality TV family travelled to Panama Beach in Florida.
While on vacation, June Shannon decided to throw a birthday celebration for her daughter at their 400-room Holiday Inn hotel.
Mama June invited all the guests staying at the hotel to join the family down at the pool for swimming, cake and a photo opportunity with the clan.
A flyer was placed on every room, reading: “You are invited to come down to the pool from 6-8pm to celebrate Alana (Honey Boo Boo)’s 8th birthday!
“Come down and hang out with the family and have some cake and go swimming! Hope to see you there!!!! Alana.”
The hotel was sold out over the weekend due to the American holiday so guests were excited to find out that Honey Boo Boo’s family was staying in the resort.
Mama June took to the microphone and had everyone line up for a photo with the family.
Honey Boo Boo received not one but three cakes to celebrate her eighth birthday
After an hour of happy snaps, everyone got together and sung happy birthday to Honey Boo Boo.
June Shannon had two huge Hello Kitty cakes to cut up and hand out to the hotel fans.
But at the end of the night a cake fight had broken out between a family friend and Mama June.
Sugar Bear also jumped in on the fun and his brother Uncle Poodle joined too with all four covered in the sugary treat.
During their vacation, the family also spent time at the hotel pool and beach where Honey Boo Boo had a blast on a lobster float and a shark boogie board.
At one point in the day, Honey Boo Boo and Lauryn had pushed their bodyguard into the pool for some fun.
And no trip to Panama Beach would be complete without a trip to Miracle Strip Pier.
The family headed straight to the amusement park where they went on several rides and had their faces painted.
At one point Sugar Bear and Mama June even shared a tender kiss.
The couple recently tied the knot during a ceremony in May at their home in Georgia.

A new Here Comes Honey Boo Boo trailer shows June Shannon downing shots and dancing the night away during her bachelorette party.
Mama June, 33, who tied the knot at her Georgia home in May, explains in the clip that once she gets her “body in motion” there’s “pretty much, like, no stopping”.
Meanwhile her husband-to-be, Sugar Bear is seen celebrating his final days as a bachelor in a less raucous way – talking and reflecting on his relationship with friends around a BBQ.
Sugar Bear sweetly tells pals gathered: “I want to get committed. I mean I want to settle down now. I’ve been a renegade for a while.
“I wanna [sic] have fun but I just want something that when I come home, I’ve got something at home.”
“The way [women] b**** and all I still love ’em [sic]. I’m going to be there. As long as she’s got a heart and loves me for who I am . . . I’m happy.
“She can be big, fat, small, skinny. ‘m still going to love her.”

June Shannon however doesn’t touch on “love” while partying at Wild Bill’s in Atlanta, Georgia. Instead she is clearly focused on having a good time.
“On the limo ride up here, I got a little buzzed, I feel kinda [sic] good, I’m ready to get the rest of my drink on,” she exclaims as she enters the country music venue.
Once inside the mother-of-four is seen drinking at the bar, bumping and grinding with men on the dance floor and even getting up on stage.
“If it’s a good beat it just . . . overtakes me,” June Shannon later explains.
The footage is only a taste of what the now newlyweds got up to and a full-length episode of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, set to air tonight, will reveal more.

With her commitment ceremony to long term partner Sugar Bear just a month away, June Shannon needed a dress and enlisted her daughters to help her make the all-important choice.
However, the redneck “replica” of Kate Middleton’s royal wedding dress didn’t exactly fit as June Shannon hoped.
“This is what Kate wore when she married Prince William,” Mama June declared to her daughters, emerging from the changing room in the lace long sleeved creation during last episode of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
However, Mama June soon realized the gown didn’t really flatter her buxom figure.
“As a little girl, I never dreamed of having that white princess gown,” she admitted.
“I don’t want a white dress, It’s really not really a true wedding and also I’m not pure so…”
The larger than life star had to be laced into another dress by the store’s assistants before leaving empty handed.
The family’s excess weight was clearly bothering the family matriarch who attempted to put her brood on the cabbage soup diet in a last ditch attempt to shed some pounds before her big day.
“If I eat this, I better lose 50 lbs instantly,” June Shannon declared with some distaste.
“The soup’s been cooking for a while and it smells like wet gym shorts.”
The redneck “replica” of Kate Middleton’s royal wedding dress didn’t exactly fit as June Shannon hoped
June Shannon’s 16-year-old daughter Jessica “Chubbs” was equally unimpressed.
“It looks like someone threw up in a bowl,” she said, wrinkling her nose up at the stew of vegetables.
All the rest of the girls bottled out of trying the healthy concoction except for Pumpkin who proceeded to spit out the soup as soon as she tasted it.
June is later seen rushing to the bathroom in order to throw it up.
“I like non healthy food because it tastes good,” Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson declared, showing her stomach to the camera.
“Last time I ate a salad was never.”
Meanwhile, June Shannon tried to salvage her family’s reputation, telling viewers her clan are “big boned”.
“We don’t eat a lot of fried food. We eat baked food,” June Shannon maintained, while putting hunks of butter on top of a tray full of meat chops.
Meanwhile, as the ceremony approached, Sugar Bear and June Shannon worried their dance moves might not be up to scratch and agree to practice at a dance class.
Mama June also begins to pen invitations, using old thank you cards for the task.
“You are invited to a celebration of love,” she began to write, before sneezing with stress.
“I’m using old thank you cards to send out invitations. As long as you have food people will come.”
But the amount of organization wasn’t the least of her concerns.
With June Shannon a self confessed marriage phobic, she started to have commitment ceremony jitters.
“I’m a little nervous about doing it,” she confessed.
“One day I want to do it and another day I don’t want to do it kind of situation. I don’t even really want to do it anymore.”
And Sugar Bear also appeared concerned.
“I just hope June shows up on our wedding day,” Mike Thompson fretted.

Honey Boo Boo’s parents, June Shannon and Mike Thompson, held an over-the-top commitment ceremony back in May complete with a camouflage theme.
In a sneak peak of Wednesday night’s episode of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, Mama June is still hammering out the plans for her big day with Sugar Bear – down to every last Porta Potty.
June Shannon, 33, is seen getting quite worked up over the size and load capacity of a portable toilet she’s ordering for the event.
In the preview clip, Mama June is busy at her work desk composing a handwritten invite to her “celebration of love”.
The 272 lbs mother of four painstakingly writes out her missive with a felt tip pen as she struggles to find the right words to gather her loved ones together for her big day.
The bit of scribbling was surely an effort for legally blind June Shannon – whose condition is tragically the result of childhood cataracts that were not properly treated.
But before she can finish, Mama June is hit with a sneezing fit, signalling the general stress of the coming event, as she states: “See I’m already getting nervous.”
The larger than life June Shannon went on to explain: “There’s only a month left to go before the commitment ceremony and I got a s***load of things to do.
Mama June is still hammering out the plans for her big day with Sugar Bear, down to every last Porta Potty
“So, why not today, start checking things off my list one at a time.”
She admitted: “The budget for the commitment ceremony is going pretty well… I’m tryin’ not let it get away from me.”
Some of her money saving tricks include reusing Thank You cards as invites for the love ceremony.
But her biggest fear involves toilets.
Mama June explained: “Like any other event I’ve ever put together as long as you have food, people will come. You know when people eat they gotta s***.”
The observation prompts a phone call to a local Porta Potty rental company.
During the rental inquiry June Shannon explained: “Oh, yes, Ma’am. I was trying to enquire on some things about Porta Johns.
“Cause I don’t let a lot of people coming in my house and, um, mess my facilities up. I actually need one of those oversized ones. So, they have, like, a weight limit?
“Because, really, I mean the Porta Potties ain’t nothing but a five-gallon bucket with a lid on it.”
It was just a few weeks ago that Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson proposed to June on an episode of their hit television series.
It was the third time in nine years that love struck “Sugie” proposed, having been turned down twice before.
“I consider myself a chubby chaser,” Sugar Bear revealed on an episode two weeks ago.
Nonetheless, it took some persuading to get Mama June to agree to a commitment ceremony.
Just prior to accepting his proposition, June Shannon explained: “The M word scares me because he’s been through two marriages and it hasn’t worked. Marriages are easy to get into and hard to get out of.”
She may have said “no” to his marriage proposal, but the lack of paperwork attracted June Shannon to the idea of a commitment ceremony.
“I don’t believe in forever but I do believe in Sugar Bear,” she confessed.

Alana Thompson, aka Honey Boo Boo, was taken back to her glamorous contest days in Wednesday’s episode of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
Honey Boo Boo was clearly enjoying herself as she tried on garish and colorful gowns for her forthcoming role as flower girl at her mother June Shannon’s commitment ceremony to father Sugar Bear.
“To be honest, I look good in all dresses,” Honey Boo Boo told viewers after trying on a bright fuchsia pink dress complete with frilled skirt.
Alana Thompson appeared to enjoy the expedition a lot more than her older sisters, with Lauryn “Pumpkin” and Jessica “Chubbs” not used to wearing dresses.
Older sister Anna “Chickadee” faired a little better due to her being “really skinny” according to Pumpkin.
However, there was an equal amount of discussion about the smell of Pumpkin’s feet than the dresses themselves.
An ultra short minidress was dismissed by June Shannon as “not age appropriate”, before she settled for a pink and blue number.
Honey Boo Boo relived her pageant days by trying on garish bridesmaids dresses for Mama June’s wedding
The sisters were busying themselves in preparations for the forthcoming commitment ceremony and to take their mind of family patriarch Sugar Bear’s mystery illness.
Sugar Bear, real name Mike Thompson, remained in hospital recovering while the girls stayed in charge of cleaning the house and arranging a bridal shower for Mama June.
Of course, the food list for the big event ended up taking priority, with meatballs, steak and a buffet all being thrown forward as possible options, before the girls settled on a pizza and chicken wings for the bash.
“We hope this bridal shower will hope Mama calm down, because she needs a little celebration or something,” Chubbs told viewers.
The big day came with June Shannon accosted by her sister’s new boyfriend Jose who found himself the only man in the restaurant as June and her friends chowed down on food and drink.
However, Pumpkin ruined the sisters’ unusually ladylike behavior by squashing a slice of tiramisu in her mother’s face, which June Shannon objected to, mainly because she is not a fan of the Italian desert.
Mama June then got emotional when it came to thanking her friends and family for attending and said she hoped they’d all be at the commitment ceremony.
Earlier, the four girls had been left in charge of keeping house while Mama June was visiting her partner in the hospital.
Honey Boo Boo appeared to have a very novel way of keeping the house clean, using the same mop for the floor as the inside of the fridge and the cupboard doors.
“It is very emotional – for me and the kids,” June Shannon said.
“I’m physically drained. The other girls really look up to him as a father figure.”
Honey Boo Boo was thrilled to be reunited with her father when he was finally allowed home and the pair shared a welcome home thumb wrestle.
Sugar Bear appeared to be in rather amorous mood after putting his feet up for a few days, asking a spluttering June Shannon: “How do you feel about having another baby?”
June Shannon’s larger than life size is all part of her attraction, according to her beau Sugar Bear.
“I consider myself a chubby chaser,” Honey Boo Boo’s father revealed on Wednesday night’s episode of the show, which saw him propose for the third time to his partner of nine years June Shannon.
Having turned him down twice before, it took some persuading to get Mama June to agree to a commitment ceremony.
After being confronted with a ring inside a golden egg after a tasty chicken dinner, Sugar Bear needed his three stepdaughters and daughter Honey Boo Boo to help talk their mother round.
“The M word scares me because he’s been through two marriages and it hasn’t worked,” June Shannon admitted.
“Marriages are easy to get into and hard to get out of.”
Mama June may have said “no” to Sugar Bear’s marriage proposal, but the lack of paperwork attracted June to the idea of a commitment ceremony.
“I don’t believe in forever but I do believe in Sugar Bear,” she confessed, before their children make the couple confess their love for one another.

And it wasn’t long before the duo were reminiscing at old photographs of themselves with Sugar Bear objecting to June Shannon’s decision to lose some weight before the ceremony, as it emerged that the couple had met in an online chat room.
June Shannon and daughters Pumpkin, 13 and Chubbs, 15 began planning an exercise routine, with the reality show matriarch concerned about her two middle daughters being picked on in school.
Pumpkin thought she had got her regime off to a good start, walking around the block and eating “apples and pears”, maintaining that “an apple a day keeps the fat away”.
But the family soon got bored with exercise, with June Shannon needing to run to the bathroom after just one sit up.
“We are a dysfunctional family,” she declared before taking Sugar Bear to a local wedding planner where he was hoping their ceremony would include “an ice sculpture or something cool like that”.
Unsure about the details of their big day, Mama June and Sugar Bear were agreed on one thing.
“The ceremony can be crappy as hell but when it’s time to eat, people have got to eat,” June Shannon said.
However, she got laughed out of the building after asserting she was only planning to spend $2,000 on the big day.
“This commitment ceremony is about having a good time more than anything else,” said Sugar Bear, while the two began to plan their list of 60 guests.
Discussing whether to invite friends L’il Willie, Pork Chop, Boxcar, Catfish, Corn, Niblet and Phlegmie, June Shannon dismissed some of her beau’s guest proposals as being “too crazy”.
Despite her reservations, even June Shannon began to get excited about the looming big event, agreeing to Honey Boo Boo’s request to be a flower girl.
“I’ll add a bit of paint to the barn and get my roots done,” she mused.
“Everybody in McIntyre are going to want a piece of this.”
However, after a rather nerve-racking effort to teach Chubbs to drive, events took a bad turn when Sugar Bear was rushed to hospital in pain.
June Shannon was clearly upset when Sugar Bear’s diagnosis was delayed before doctors informed her he was suffering from pneumonia and pancreatitis.
“Without Sugar Bear, I’d be lost,” Mama June wept.
Luckily, Sugar Bear appeared to pull through, although remained in hospital much to the chagrin of his extended family who sent colorful get well cards.
Honey Boo Boo’s father Sugar Bear decided to wear his “funeral shirt” when he finally plucked up the courage to propose to June Shannon on the latest episode of reality show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
Sugar Bear, real name Mike Thompson, donned his finest garment and roped the girls into helping him prepare a romantic candlelit dinner so he could finally ask Mama June to marry him.
And when he slipped into his outfit Honey Boo Boo revealed: “When Sugar wears his funeral shirt you know he’s serious.”
When the big moment finally arrived, June Shannon could not believe it when her partner began to make his slightly rambling proposal.
Hoping to make it third time lucky after being turned down twice before, Sugar Bear said: “But um, now on a serious note, um, I’ve talked with the girls.

“Me and the girls been talking for the last couple of weeks. I love the girls and they love me.
“I know you and me have had some ups and downs, but the girls need a father figure that’s going to be around for a while.”
Sugar Bear then showed her his pièce de résistance, a golden egg which contained the engagement ring he had earlier picked out with their daughter Honey Boo Boo,
He said: “Alana laid this golden egg. Alana told me she laid it so I don’t know.
“But, um, it would be a great honor, um, it would be a great extreme honor. Would you marry me and be my wife?”
At this point of course the credits had rolled and viewers were left on tenterhooks until next week, though the fact Sugar Bear and June Shannon got married back in May could have slightly dampened the suspense.
The reality show actually started with an equally gripping sporting event, where Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon attempted to best her mother in a game of ten pin bowling during a family outing.
After insisting she did “not want to bowl with the grannies” she accepted a bet with her elder, and if she lost she would have to rub June Shannon’s smelly feet.
When it was clear she was losing Pumpkin tried to hijack her parent’s game when she took a toilet break, saying: “My momma’s left foot is nasty and I don’t want to go near it so I’ve got to win this.”
But her lost regardless, and was mercilessly taunted for her cheating ways into the bargain.
June Shannon told Pumpkin: “These feet will see these hands tonight. Cheaters never prosper they just rub peoples feet.”
Honey Boo Boo’s sister Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon and father Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson have met their match in the form of a 4 lb sandwich.
In the latest episode of hit reality show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, 13-year-old Pumpkin got ready to tackle the “Pigzilla” – consisting of 3 lbs of meat and a 1 lb bun.
The reality show family from McIntyre Georgia decamp to Papa Buck’s BBQ to get gluttonous, with Pumpkin hoping to be the first woman to win.
“Pigzilla has been challenged 55 times and it’s only defeated once – by a professional eater,” family matriarch June Shannon explains.
“I think it’s going to be defeated twice because, hey, I’ve got my own professional eater on my hands. We’ll see which beast wins.”
With winnings of $200 up for grabs and only 45 minutes to scarf the giant meat and bread creation, Pumpkin and Sugar Bear steel themselves for the task ahead.

“Before I eat Pigzilla, I need to concentrate,” says Pumpkin.
“I need to get in the zone. I don’t need any distractions.”
Luckily, Mama June had plenty of advice for her eating prodigy, who she hoped would be the “redneck Kobayashi”.
“Dip the bun in the water,” June Shannon tells Pumpkin, who put on her “professional shirt” for the occasion.
“Every time she wears her professional shirt, you know she’s being serious,” says June Shannon.
After learning the sandwich would cost her $30 if it didn’t get eaten, she urges her family onward: “Hell no, you better eat that s***.”
However, the challenge is only complete if the participant keeps the sandwich down for five minutes, according to Mama June.
“And then you can puke,” June Shannon confides.

June Shannon has revealed that she is legally blind as a result of childhood cataracts that were not properly treated.
Mama June’s eyesight is obviously an issue during Here Comes Honey Boo Boo Season 2, when the family goes go-karting to celebrate her husband Sugar Bear’s 41st birthday.
Honey Boo Boo’s mother admits that her blurry vision make her afraid to get into a go-kart, and has prevented her from getting a driver’s license.
June Shannon’s eyesight has been an issue in the past when interacting with seven-year old daughter Honey Boo Boo and her sisters Pumpkin, 13, Chubbs, 16, and 18-year-old Chickadee.
During the season premiere, June Shannon, 33, was shown putting her daughters’ cell phones into a cheese ball bucket when they refused to stop texting. But when Mama June uses her own phone, she is forced to squint and hold it inches from her face.
June Shannon has revealed that she is legally blind as a result of childhood cataracts that were not properly treated
During the first season, June Shannon was shown having to squint incredibly hard to see the numbers at Bingo. Her imperfect vision is also an issue when she tries to save money by doing Honey Boo Boo’s pageant make-up herself.
“My mama better stick to couponing and stay away from the makeup table,” Alana Thompson aka Honey Boo Boo says.
Though cataracts are very common in older people – with around 50% of adults developing them by age 80 – experts estimate that a baby’s chances of being born with cataracts is only around one in 5,000.
In the past Mama June has expressed insecurities about her “forklift foot” that was run over by a piece of heavy machinery. Even Sugar Bear wasn’t allowed to see her sockless.
But for the most part, June Shannon is confident, happy and doesn’t let physical issues get her down.
After encouragement from her family, Mama June takes the wheel at the go-kart track – and even laughs when the kart gets jammed and she has to be rescued by three attendants.
What are childhood cataracts?
- A cataract is an eye disease in which the clear lens of one or both eyes becomes cloudy
- It is estimated that one in 5,000 children are born with cataracts
- In most cases, the exact cause is not known, but some possible causes include genetic conditions or infections during pregnancy
- Doctors recommend performing surgery within the first two months and definitely by four months
- Cataract operations are generally very successful, with a low risk of serious complications
June Shannon was unimpressed with partner Sugar Bear’s meager seduction technique in the premiere episode of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
Wanting to get a little “frisky”, Sugar Bear tried to woo Mama June with a small cream-filled cupcake on his birthday.
Unfortunately for him, June Shannon remained unmoved.
“A new crockpot, new deep fryer, might get you to first base,” she said.
“It takes a lot to turn this big mama on.”
“I need some quality alone time,” Mike Thompson said, after having packed June Shannon’s four children off to a babysitter.
“I really love June, she’s my woman.”
June Shannon, 33, finally gave in, telling her long term beau: “Just be quick.”
The family had celebrated Sugar Bear’s 41st birthday with deep fried pork chops and a Dukes of Hazzard-themed bash namely because it’s his favorite show.

Mike Thompson and the four girls – 7-year-old Alana aka Honey Boo Boo, Anna (Chickadee), 18, Lauryn (Pumpkin), 13, and 16-year-old Jessica (Chubbs) took it in turns to thrash a piñata shaped like a pair of Daisy Duke shorts.
It was an action packed double episode for the family from rural McIntyre Georgia beginning with Mama June daringly confiscating her daughter’s cell phones for not doing their chores.
Despite June Shannon’s hope that her girls could enjoy some family time without “electronics”, the girls decided to cover themselves in plastic wrap, pour cooking oil on the floor, grease themselves with butter and turn the house into a “Redneck Slip`n’ Slide – Extreme Home Edition”, according to Chubbs.
Unhappy at the mess her brood had made, June Shannon returned their cell phones, but not before ordering them to clean up.
“I would prefer my girls with phones rather than destroying my house,” she said.
The family bonded rather more over their love of road kill.
In a squeamish turn of events, the family heard a pig had been found dead nearby.
“We’re not really hunters in our family,” June Shannon told viewers about road kill finds.
“We bring it home, skin it, cook it, eat it, save money. That’s the way the cycle of life works in our family.”
“Roadkill is any animal that didn’t look before it crossed the road,” added an excited Honey Boo Boo, before the family decamped to hang the pig, skin it, and then make pork and beans from the trotters and the tail.
The girls were equally thrilled by a family outing to a wrestling match, where Chickadee was in her element.
“I like wrestling because of people fighting each other and they’re some good looking folks in there,” she said.
“I love it. It’s my heart. My soul.”
“I like wrestling because it’s all my family do,” added Honey Boo Boo.
A go-karting trip also went down well, despite larger than life Mama June getting stuck in her vehicle after crashing.
It took three track workers to pull her go-kart back in action “because I’m kind of voluptuous”, she said.
The final moments of the show previewed next week’s episode where Sugar Bear finally takes the plunge and proposes to June Shannon.
