As Demi Moore has officially announced she is ending her six year marriage to Ashton Kutcher after reports of his alleged infidelities became public, the couple’s issues seem to have been a lot more complex.

It is believed Demi Moore, 49, and Ashton Kutcher, 33, embarked on an “open marriage”, with suggestions hinting that the actress is bisexual.

An insider told Star: “Demi is attracted to women just as much as men, so she didn’t always get all she needed from Ashton.”

Speaking of Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher’s agreement to have an open marriage, the source added: “Everyone in Hollywood knows about their arrangement, but they’ve managed to keep it a secret from the general public.

“She was cool with Ashton having flirtatious relationships too. Somehow they made it work all these years. Both of them were respectful of each other. It was a lot of fun for them.”

However, it all changed when Ashton Kutcher’s alleged affairs became public and it seems their liberal outlook soon turned sour.

Comedienne Chelsea Handler seemed to echo the sentiments, speaking to Piers Morgan on CNN.

While Chelsea Handler admitted she didn’t know Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher well personally, she said: “I think it’s pretty obvious that they’ve probably had a lot of open marriage type situations.

“I think they probably had a lot of good times with some other women… Clearly they had a lot of threesomes, that led to twosomes without Demi and that leads to a divorce. I absolutely feel for her.”

Brittney Jones, Ashton Kutcher’s first alleged mistress, who came forward with the affair story in September 2010, insisted at the time that the actor had an “open marriage” with his wife.

At the time, Brittney Jones’ credibility was quashed by Ashton Kutcher’s lawyer who insinuated she was lying.

Yet today, Brittney Jones told TMZ: “Although divorce is often sad I do feel somewhat vindicated.

“For so long people have thought that I was dishonest or just making up my passionate nights with Ashton, when in fact I was being used.

“Ashton told me that both he and Demi had an <<open relationship>> and that he was not in fact cheating.

“Now I can tell all the facts about how Ashton really was, and hopefully people will believe my side of the story.”

Demi Moore said in a statement today that she is filing for divorce with “great sadness and a heavy heart”.

Natalie Wood’s death case will be re-opened as a homicide, as investigators received “additional information” on her drowning 30 years ago.

Thirty years ago Natalie Wood was found drowned in the waters off Southern California after a night of partying on the yacht she owned with actor husband Robert Wagner.

“Additional information” is now said to have come to light prompting homicide detectives yesterday to re-open their investigation into the 43-year-old actress’s death on November 29, 1981.

Up to now Natalie Wood is believed to have fallen off the yacht “Splendor” after drinking and dining with her husband and “Brainstorm” co-star Christopher Walken.

Police reports said Natalie wood’s body was found floating in a cove on Catalina Island about a mile away from the yacht. The actress was wearing a long nightgown, socks, and a down jacket.

According to an autopsy report, Natalie Wood had two dozen bruises on her body, including a facial abrasion on her left cheek, and bruises on her arms, according to CNN.

Natalie Wood’s drowning at the age of 43 sparked tabloid speculation that foul play was involved, but Robert Wagner and her sister Lana have dismissed such a suggestion.

Los Angeles Times has reported that detectives were prompted to look at the case again after comments by the ship’s captain, Dennis Davern.

Dennis Davern has said he believes Natalie Wood’s death is directly connected to an argument she had earlier in the evening with Robert Wagner.

It comes after Natalie Wood’s sister told CNN in 2010 she believes an argument between her sister and Robert Wagner preceded the drowning. But she ruled out foul play.

She wrote in a biography on her sister: “What happened is that Natalie drank too much that night.”

Robert Wagner wrote in a 2009 autobiography, Pieces Of My Heart, that he blamed himself for his wife’s death.

At the time, Natalie Wood’s death was ruled an accident and it was determined she had been drinking that night.

The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office wrote that Natalie Wood was “possibly attempting to board the dinghy and had fallen into the water, striking her face”.

A dinghy that had been attached to the couple’s yacht “Splendor” was found in a Catalina cove.

Detectives plan to hold a news conference today and anyone with information about the case is being asked to contact sheriff’s officials or an anonymous tip line.

Natalie Wood, a three-time Oscar nominee famous for roles in classics such as West Side Story and Rebel Without A Cause, was twice married to Robert Wagner.

Natalie Wood and Robert Wagner first wed in 1957 before divorcing six years later. They remarried in 1972.

Questions over the circumstances surrounding Natalie Wood’s untimely death have lingered for 30 years, and family members have previously asked for authorities to re-examine the original findings.

A spokesman for Robert Wagner, said the family trusts the sheriff’s department will take appropriate action but has not been contacted about the case being re-opened.

Los Angeles County sheriff’s officials said in a written statement: “Recently sheriff’s homicide investigators were contacted by persons who stated they had additional information about the Natalie Wood Wagner drowning.”

“Due to the additional information, sheriff’s homicide bureau has decided to take another look at the case,” the statement said.

A sheriff’s spokesman declined to elaborate on the additional information pending a news conference scheduled for today at 2:00 p.m. EST.

The Los Angeles Times, citing anonymous sources, said detectives have decided to reopen the case after hearing Dennis Davern’s claim.

Last year, Dennis Davern asked investigators, along with Natalie Wood’s sister, to re-open the case.

The issue was revisited when Dennis Davern was recently interviewed for a collaboration between the magazine Vanity Fair and the television series “48 Hours Mystery” that focuses on Natalie Wood’s death.

The interviews followed his detailed account of the evening in a book co-authored by Marti Rulli entitled, “Goodbye Natalie, Goodbye Splendour”, which was published in September, 2009.

Dennis Davern has said he believes Natalie Wood’s death is directly connected to an argument she had earlier in the evening with Robert Wagner.

Reports also suggest Marti Rulli has been in direct contact recently with the LA County sheriff’s office.

Robert Wagner’s spokesman Alan Nierob wrote in a statement: “Although no one in the Wagner family has heard from the LA County Sheriff’s department about this matter, they fully support the efforts of the LA County Sheriff’s Department and trust they will evaluate whether any new information relating to the death of Natalie Wood Wagner is valid, and that it comes from a credible source or sources other than those simply trying to profit from the 30 year anniversary of her tragic death.”

Natalie Wood, who was born Natalia Nikolaevna Zakharenko to Russian immigrant parents in San Francisco, appeared as a child in such films as the Christmas classic “Miracle on 34th Street” and “The Ghost and Mrs. Muir”.

Demi Moore has officially announced she is divorcing from Ashton Kutcher after six year marriage.

Demi Moore, 49, said in a statement that she is filing for divorce with “great sadness and a heavy heart”.

Hinting at Ashton Kutcher’s infidelity, Demi Moore said: “As a woman, a mother and a wife, there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life”.

Demi Moore added that it’s a trying time for her and her family and asked for people to respect her privacy.

Immediately after the announcement, Ashton Kutcher, 33, posted his own statement on Twitter:

“I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi.

“Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail. Love and Light, AK.”

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher are still following each other on Twitter in wake of the announcement and her handle remains @mrskutcher – something she may now consider changing.

Despite their dignified statements, Demi Moore is now gearing up to battle it out over their $290 million fortune after enduring public humiliated because of his alleged infidelity.

Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher wed in September 2005. The couple’s relationship hit the headlines in recent months as rumours swirled about Ashton Kutcher’s alleged infidelity.

He allegedly shared a night of passion with party girl Sara Leal, 22, at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego.

Texas-born Sara Leal sold her story on Ashton Kutcher weeks after the fling, which took place on actors’ sixth wedding anniversary, September 24.

After Demi Moore's divorce announcement, Ashton Kutcher posted his own statement on Twitter

Sara Leal relived the sordid details of the night – including how they had unprotected sex – detailing that she had cavorted naked with Ashton Kutcher and a gaggle of girls in a hot tub in the luxurious hotel suite.

The Texas-born claimed Ashton Kutcher told her he was separated from Demi Moore before he tried to persuade her to have a threesome along with her best friend Marta Borzuchowski – but in the end he settled for a two-hour romp with her.

Speaking of the fling, Sara Leal told The Sun: “We had sex twice. Everything felt natural. We were having a good time. He was good, but it wasn’t weird or perverted or creepy.

“He had good endurance. We were up for a while. It was about two hours.”

In the weeks after the story broke, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore made apparent attempts to heal their relationship with Kabbalah retreats, including a camping trip to Cachuma Lake near Santa Barbara, California, last month.

They were accompanied by some close friends along with their Kabbalah instructor Yehuda Berg and photos emerged of the pair sat around an outdoor fire.

It was first time the couple was pictured together since news of Ashton Kutcher’s alleged booze-fuelled one-night stand broke.

In the weeks that followed, Demi Moore appeared to be suffering under the strain of her marriage breakdown, becoming gaunt and scarily skinny – reportedly dropping down to just 98 lbs (45 kg) which given her height of 5ft 5in is considerably underweight.

Sara Leal affair was not the first time Ashton Kutcher has been accused of being unfaithful to Demi Moore.

Ashton Kutcher was first accused of infidelity in September last year, when Brittney Jones, 21, said she had sex with the actor at the Beverly Hills home he once shared with his wife while she was away.

Brittney Jones also later claimed that Ashton Kutcher told her he had an open relationship with Demi Moore and they would “often engage in threesomes”.

She told Star: “He looked over our texts and said he wanted me to delete all the messages from him. He then told me he wanted me to delete the texts I had sent to him. He said they could hurt him.”

At the time, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore brushed off the allegations.

Ashton Kutcher, who took over Charlie Sheen’s role in hit U.S. TV series Two And A Half Men earlier this year, wrote on Twitter at the time: “I think Star magazine calling me a <<cheater>>qualifies as defamation of character. I hope my lawyer agrees.

The actor added: “Star magazine – you don’t get to stand behind <<freedom of the press>> when you are writing fiction.”

Ashton Kutcher’s spokesman also denied the allegation while Demi Moore tweeted: “Excellent point my love!”.

Demi Moore, who was previously married to Bruce Willis, started dating Ashton Kutcher in 2003. They married two years later.

In May 2010, Demi Moore talked about wanting to start a family with Ashton Kutcher in an interview with Elle magazine – something that never came to pass.

Demi Moore has three daughter with her Bruce Willis – Rumer, 23, Scout, 20, and Tallulah 17.

The actress has maintained a friendly relationship with Bruce Willis – even attending his wedding to underwear model Emma Heming in 2009. By the same token, Bruce Willis came to Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher’s wedding four years earlier.

Demi Moore and Bruce Willis married in 1987 before divorcing 13 years later in 2000.

At the time of the split, Bruce Willis said: “I felt I had failed as a father and a husband by not being able to make it work.”

Demi Moore, who starred alongside Patrick Swayze in the 1990 movie Ghost, was first married to singer Freddy Moore.

The couple got hitched when Demi Moore was aged 18 in 1980 and the relationship lasted four years. The actress still goes by his last name.

For Ashton Kutcher – who is 16 years Demi Moore’s junior – the actress was his first wife.

Ashton Kutcher previously had relationships with the late Brittany Murphy and Mad Men’s January Jones.

Mariah Yeater has quietly dropped her paternity lawsuit against teenage pop star Justin Bieber.

Mariah Yeater, 20, who gave birth to son Tristyn four months ago, has apparently had a change of heart after filing legal action against Justin Bieber two weeks ago.

The single mother’s lawsuit seeking a paternity test and child support was withdrawn last week, according to TMZ.com.

Lance Rogers and Matt Pare, the two lawyers who were representing Mariah Yeater, have apparently resigned.

The withdrawal of the suit comes after Justin Bieber not only said he would submit to a DNA test, but was also planning to sue Mariah Yeater for making a bogus claim.

Mariah Yeater has quietly dropped her paternity lawsuit against teenage pop star Justin Bieber

Mariah Yeater shocked Justin Bieber’s legions of fans – and his girlfriend Selena Gomez – when she claimed he had fathered her son during a 30-second tryst in a bathroom after his concert at Los Angeles’ Staples Center on October 25 last year.

In an interview on U.S. TV show The Insider last week, Mariah Yeater claimed: “He (Bieber) immediately took a liking to me and we just got to talking and then he eventually asked me, <<Do you mind if we can go somewhere and be alone?>>”

When Mariah Yeater was quizzed over what evidence she has to support her claims, she said she has provided some to her attorney but could not discuss it on camera.

“It’ll show in court to prove that my allegations are true.”

The Insider confronted Mariah Yeater on a recent interview with a security guard who claims that on the night in question, Justin Bieber’s dressing room was full of friends and family, staying with the teenage heartthrob until he left.

Asked for her response on the guard’s claims, Mariah Yeater said: “No comment.”

The authenticity of Mariah Yeater’s claims and her character were put under the microscope after photos of her stripping leaked online last week.

Mariah Yeater was also arrested in 2010 for slapping an ex-boyfriend and charged with battery.

Justin Bieber addressed the rumours on the U.S Today Show, saying: “I would just like to say basically that none of those allegations are true.

“I know that I’m going to be a target but I’m never going to be a victim.

“I think it’s crazy because every night after the show I’m gone, right from the stage to my car so it’s crazy that some people want to make up such false allegations but to set the record straight, none of it is true.

“I’ve never met the woman.”

A teacher at Batesburg-Leesville Primary School, South Carolina, has been accused by first graders parents of picking out students in her class to rub her feet.

The teacher, who has not been named, was disciplined, but still has her job teaching six and seven-year-olds, leaving the community troubled.

The allegations came out when one of the teacher’s students told her grandmother she didn’t want to give any more foot massages.

The grandmother, Brends Norris, told WISTV in Columbia, South Carolina, Tuesday:

“She admitted to the children rubbing her feet. Just the thought of it.”

“They immediately sent her home, but she’s back there today.”

When Brends Norris took to Facebook to talk about the teacher, she found at least six other parents whose children reported the same thing, she said.

The six-year-old girl told her grandmother her teacher wore flip-flops to school so she could simply slip them off for her pupils to rub her feet.

Brends Norris suggested the school district would need to do more to win back her trust and repair that trauma her granddaughter is experiencing

Brends Norris suggested the school district would need to do more to win back her trust and repair that trauma her granddaughter is experiencing

Brends Norris said she taught her granddaughter to tell her if anyone every touched her inappropriately.

“She told me, <<Grandma, you didn’t tell me if I touch someone else, to tell you>>. That broke my heart,” Brends Norris said.

Brends Norris said being forced to rub her teacher’s feet has caused her granddaughter to have nightmares.

“She said <<I have three wishes, grandma. One of them was not to go to school today>>” Brends Norris said.

Officials at Lexington County School District Three said they investigated the allegations, took action and corrected the problem – but would not give specifics.

The local chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and police are both investigating. A community meeting is also planned.

Brends Norris suggested the school district would need to do more to win back her trust and repair that trauma her granddaughter is experiencing.

“I don’t trust the system at all now. I can’t trust the system. I’m afraid for her to go to school,” the grandmother said.

Mohammad Shafia, a Muslim father from Ontario, Canada, was charged with murdering his three daughters in apparent honour killings has said he would do it again – even if they came back to life 100 times.

Mohammad Shafia, 58, cursed his daughters Zainab, 19, Sahar, 17, and Geeti, 13, saying they were “treacherous” as he likened them to prostitutes during a conversation that was recorded by police.

The father is on trial for his daughters’ murders after they were found dead in the family car along with his first wife, Rona Amir, 50, in the Rideau Canal, located in the Kingston area of Ontario in Canada in 2009.

Initially police thought the family had been involved in an accident and Mohammad Shafia told them during an interview that he didn’t know where they were.

However, Mohammad Shafia version of accounts did not add up and he was arrested and charged with their murder.

Mohammad Shafia, a Muslim father from Ontario, Canada, was charged with murdering his three daughters in apparent honour killings has said he would do it again - even if they came back to life 100 times

Mohammad Shafia, who moved to Canada from Afghanistan with his family, is polygamous and after his arrest was heard telling his second wife, Tooba Yahya, that their daughters had brought shame on the family.

Mohammad Shafia said one day after his arrest: “Even if, God forbid, they hoist us on to the gallows… we accept it wholeheartedly.

The court heard the recordings in which Mohammad Shafia talks about his daughters and the fact that they were dating while ranting about the family’s honour.

Zainab had married her boyfriend – a Pakistani man – angering her father and causing family turmoil.

After Tooba Yahya said that she knew Zainab was “already done” but wished “the two others” weren’t, Mohammad Shafia responded saying: “No Tooba, they were treacherous.”

Tooba Yahya, 41, and their son, Hamed, 20, are both on trial with him facing charges of first-degree murder. Hamed has denied even being at the death scene. All three have pleaded not guilty to murder.

Speaking about pictures of his daughter Mohammad Shafia said he was consoled adding:

“No Tooba, they were treacherous. When I tell you to be patient, you tell me that it is hard.

“It isn’t harder than watching them every hour with (boyfriends). For this reason whenever I see those pictures, I am consoled.

“I say to myself, <<You did well. Would they come back to life a hundred times, for you to do the same again>>.”

Mohammad Shafia also says that the family had been violated in the worst possible way.

“May the devil…(defecate) on their graves. Is that what a daughter should be? Would (a daughter) be such a whore?”

The jury has also seen graphic underwater video in which a pair of legs can be seen in the murky water.

One of the victims’ heads can be seen facing down with hair obscuring her face, according to the Canadian Press, while blankets, a yellow bag, a body and victim’s hand are visible on the passenger side.

There was nobody sat in the driver’s seat.

Mohammad Shaifa’s first wife Rona and Sahar were seen on the back seat, their heads touching.

One of the windows was open on the car, but it appears that no attempts had been made by any of the victims to escape from the vehicle.

The family was returning from a trip to Niagara Falls when it ended up in the canal and all the victims were found to have drowned.

However, prosecutors don’t know if it was in the canal or elsewhere. Three of them had bruising to the back of their heads.

Mohammad Shafia and Tooba Yahya had seven children in total. The three not involved in the court case were placed in care after their parents were arrested. The trial continues.

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux’ love has been ongoing ambiguity over when exactly their relationship started and when he split from 14-year-long love Heidi Bivens.

In a bid to set the record straight, Jennifer Aniston had an emotional meeting with Heidi Bivens, 35, at the Mercer Hotel in a New York hotel last week.

Upset at being portrayed as a “homewrecker”, Jennifer Aniston assured the costume designer she never got together with Justin Theroux until he was single, according to this week’s Grazia magazine.

A source told Grazia magazine: “Jen has always been sympathetic to Heidi because he’s heard from Justin just how devastated she is about their break-up.

“But Jen has always been adamant that their relationships did not cross over.”

Jennifer Aniston and Heidi Bivens reportedly met at the Mercer Hotel on November 6, and talked over a glass of wine.

The source said: “Jen told Heidi that she understands what a painful time she has been going through and explained that she wanted her to know, hand on heart, that she would never steal another woman’s man.

“Heidi apparently got quite tearful during the meeting, as it was understandably a lot of take in.”

In recent months, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have become inseparable and are living together in a $6 million New York apartment.

In a press conference three weeks ago, Jennifer Aniston shot down reports she was pregnant or engaged.

“Rumour number one: I am not planning to get married any time soon. I’ve been married once, and I don’t know if I’ll get married again.

“But I can tell you that as of this very moment, I have no plan to get married. Got that?

“And rumour number two: no, we’re not pregnant. It’s just I quit smoking, so I’ve gained a couple of pounds.”

Actress Piper Laurie, one of the former U.S. President Ronald Reagan’s lover claimed that he was a rude, insensitive show-off in matter of heart.

Piper Laurie said that when she slept with Ronald Reagan, he bragged to her afterwards about his staying power.

When the actress complained she was unsatisfied he replied she should see a doctor – because he definitely knew how to make a woman happy.

In her memoir Piper Laurie said that she met Ronald Reagan after he was no longer married to actress Jane Wyman but had not yet begun dating his second wife, Nancy Davis.

Piper Laurie was just 18 at the time and a virgin – and Ronald Reagan was her first love.

Ronald Reagan was 39 and was actually playing her father in the 1950 drama “Louisa”, which is how they got to know each other.

In her book, “Learning to Live Out Loud”, Piper Laurie writes that to begin with Ronald Reagan was the perfect gentleman and asked her mother for permission to take her out on a date.

But instead of doing so he took her to his home where he made hamburgers for them both.

Things went downhill from there and when they moved into the bedroom where Ronald Reagan turned into a “show-off” who had sex “without grace”.

Piper Laurie, now 79, writes: “He made sure I was aware of the length of time he had been <<ardent>>. It was 40 minutes.”

Piper Laurie adds that when she complained she was not satisfied, she got rather short shrift indeed.

Ronald Reagan told her: “There’s something wrong with you. You should have had many orgasms by now – after all this time. You’ve got to see a doctor.”

On top of that, Ronald Reagan also disclosed the amount he had paid for the condom, in a crass attempt to prove his point.

In her memoir Piper Laurie also tells how she found her voice through acting and once tore up a lucrative contract as it only allowed her to play dull roles as a “perky starlet”.

But despite ups and down Piper Laurie eventually achieved the respect of her peers and the critics.

Gregory Peck, her co-star in “Other People’s Money” in 1991, even described one of her performances as “a series of revelations moving and true”.

Piper Laurie was nominated for Oscars for her roles in the 1961 pool drama “The Hustler” opposite Paul Newman.

The actress was also nominated for the award for her parts in the 1976 horror “Carrie” and the 1986 romantic drama “Children of a Lesser God”.

Ronald Reagan’s acting career lasted for nearly three decades but he quit Hollywood for politics and was elected as governor of California in 1967.

Ronald Reagan served as U.S. President between 1981 and 1989 and died in 2004.

Five people, a pilot and four tourists, died after a tour helicopter crashed into a mountain ridge on Molokai island, Hawaii.

According to authorities, the helicopter carrying the five people was on a tourist excursion of West Maui and Molokai when it went down near an elementary school Thursday.

Newlyweds Mike and Nicole Abel from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, were among those killed, WTAE.com reports.

The father of Nicole Abel, formerly Nicole Bevilacqua, reportedly told Hawaii News that his daughter was killed in the crash.

Hawaii News added that her husband, Mike Abel, was also killed.

On his Facebook page, design engineer Mike Abel had just updated his status to Married to Nicole Bevilacqua.

Mike and Nicole Abel, from Westmoreland County, got married on Saturday and both worked for electronics company Westinghouse.

The couple worked at the company’s headquarters in Cranberry.

Westinghouse spokesman Vaughn Gilbert said:

“It’s a tragedy. Everyone within the Westinghouse community is heartbroken, and our hearts go out to their family.

“These were two very fine young people who just started their lives.”

Cranberry.patch.com reports that Nicole Abel’s father, Bruce Bevilacqua, of Murrysville, is a long-time Westinghouse executive.

Bruce Bevilacqua was named vice president of the company’s Americas region in April.

Company officials and employees learned of the newlyweds’ deaths earlier Friday.

Maui County spokesman Rod Antone said that firefighters recovered four bodies and the fifth was located under the wreckage.

Maui County identified the pilot as Nathan Cline, 30.

The other two tourists are a man and a woman from Ontario; their relationship is unknown.

The helicopter crash occurred about a quarter mile from Kilohana Elementary School, prompting teachers to keep the 71 students inside, Principal Richard Stevens said.

“We didn’t go on lockdown,” Richard Stevens said.

“The kids were never in any immediate danger.”

Maui police official Wayne K. Ibarra also confirmed the five deaths, the Associated Press reports.

There was no word on the cause of the crash but Wayne K. Ibarra said the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board were investigating.

Blue Hawaiian Helicopters owner David Chevalier said the passengers were two men and two women taking a 45-minute tour that departed from Kahului, on Maui.

He declined to release the pilot’s name because his wife had not yet been notified.

“We’re extremely grieved for our pilot as well as the passengers,” David Chevalier said.

“Something like this can’t be more devastating to us.”

The EC-130 chopper that crashed was less than a year old and was being leased from Nevada Helicopter Leasing LLC, David Chevalier said.

Molokai is a mostly rural island of about 7,000 people between Maui and Oahu, where world leaders have gathered this week for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Honolulu.

Helicopter tour companies advertise trips to Molokai to see the island’s sea cliffs and Hawaii’s tallest waterfall.

The remote Kalaupapa peninsula on Molokai is where Hawaii exiled leprosy patients between 1866 and 1969.

Tour helicopters have come under heavy scrutiny over their safety in recent years around the country, most recently after a deadly chopper crash in Manhattan last month.

Rebecca Woodruff, a four-year-old girl from Houston, Texas, died after her mother backed over her on their home’s driveway.

The mother, Olinda Woodruff, made the tragic discovery on – her daughter Rebecca, four, lying in the driveway after she had been hit.

Olinda Woodruff quickly called 911 and pleaded for an ambulance – but a fire truck came instead.

While an ambulance did arrive later, it was too late. Rebecca Woodruff was dead.

What makes the tragedy made even more heartbreaking is the possibility Rebecca Woodruff’s life may have been saved had the proper response arrived in time.

Rebecca Woodruff, a four-year-old girl from Houston, Texas, died after her mother backed over her on their home's driveway

In a statement to the Houston Chronicle, Olinda Woodruff said she believed “too much precious time was lost” to save her daughter.

Olinda Woodruff added: “My wish is that the system is changed in time to save the next child who needs it.”

The fire engine was sent in accordance with a new protocol enacted in August to limit the number of ambulances sent when not needed.

While all firefighters have EMT training, fire trucks are not equipped with the same life-saving equipment or the ability to transport a victim to the hospital.

The girl’s father, John Woodruff, told Click2Houston.com: “In a situation as traumatic as this, it seems like the ambulance should have come right away.”

Houston fire Chief Terry Garrison told the Houston Chronicle that an internal probe would determine whether dispatchers acted appropriately.

Ten days after Rebecca Woodruff’s death on October 21, the department instituted a “makeover” of the policy, allowing first responders to “upgrade” the call while en route based on new information about the emergency.

City Council member Mike Sullivan, an opponent of the policy, said the change was a step in the right direction.

Mike Sullivan told the Houston Chronicle: “That’s an improvement because prior to October 31, the firefighter could not do that.

Christy Wilt and Kelly Chaffins, two teachers at Miami Trace Middle School have allegedly been caught calling a 14-year-old girl with special needs “dumb” and “lazy”, after she recorded them.

The girl’s parents, from Washington Court House, Ohio, feared their daughter was being bullied, they hid a tape recorder in her clothing.

The parents were stunned to hear teacher Christy Wilt, 30, and her aide Kelly Chaffins, 46 allegedly poking fun at the teenager’s weight and forcing her to run on a treadmill.

Kelly Chaffins, who had worked at the school since August 2008, was asked to resign by the district after her comments came to light.

But Christy Wilt still remains at the school, after the officials claimed her involvement “did not meet what the educational aide had done”.

The recordings, obtained by WBNS-TV News, were made over four days in April.

“Don’t you want to do something about that belly?” Kelly Chaffins is claimed to have said to the student.

The student responds: “Yes.”

“Well, evidently you don’t because you don’t do anything at home,” Kelly Chaffins says.

“You sit at home and watch TV.”

In another moment, Kelly Chaffins allegedly asks the student why she did not know an answer to a question. When the student responds “because I didn’t know”, the aide becomes abusive.

Kelly Chaffins says: “Are you kidding me? Are you that dumb? You are that dumb? Oh my God. You are such a liar. No wonder you don’t have friends. No wonder nobody likes you.”

On another recording, Kelly Chaffins allegedly reacts after hearing the parents have complained.

Kelly Chaffins says: “They are ridiculous. Well, you know what? They are liars raising a liar.”

Christy Wilt adds: “They are manipulators.”

The student’s parents also claims the audio reveals the girl was made to run on a treadmill for 15 minutes after getting an answer wrong.

Kelly Chaffins is heard shouting at her while she runs.

Miami Trace Middle School claimed the use of the treadmill was designed to “refocus” students, rather than punish them.

The student, now a freshman at Miami Trace High School, told WBNS-TV that the abusive comments made her “pretty sad”.

When student’s father heard the “nasty, rude comments”, “all of it ripped my heart out”, he said.

Before the recordings, the family had complained to Miami Trace authorities.

Superintendent Dan Roberts sent an email in response, saying there was “absolutely no truth” in the matter, and the complaint was “bordering on slander and harrassment”.

Confronted by WBNS-TV, Dan Roberts added: “When we found audio proof we acted immediately.

“We were distressed, very upset and angry by what was on those tapes.”

Instead of resignation, Christy Wilt will undergo a probation period, as well as eight hours of mandatory classes in how to recognize child abuse and stop bullying.

The sudent’s parents sued, and the school district subsequently paid $300,000 in damages.

The family’s attorney Dan Modarski said: “We were quite frankly shocked and disgusted with what we heard. What’s shocking to me is that there’s one teacher that is still employed by the district.”

2005 YU55, an asteroid the size of an aircraft carrier whistled past Earth at a distance of 202,000 miles away, slightly nearer than the moon, on November 8.

The asteroid is the largest such object to come so close in 35 years but NASA said ther is no chance of impact with the space rock known as 2005 YU55.

NASA has been monitoring the quarter-mile-wide asteroid as it approached Earth.

The researchers will now analyze radar images to uncover further details about the rock, which was first spotted in 2005 by the University of Arizona.

YU55 asteroid’ surface is coal black and it spins slowly through space. It travels at 30,000 mph and was last this close to Earth some 200 years ago.

The last time a large cosmic interloper came that close to Earth was in 1976, and it won’t happen again until 2028.

However, it was bad news for all but the most committed of stargazers. It was not visible to the naked eye – even at its closest point to Earth it was about 100 times dimmer than humans can observe naturally.

2005 YU55, an asteroid the size of an aircraft carrier whistled past Earth at a distance of 202,000 miles away, slightly nearer than the moon, on November 8

If somebody wanted to catch a glimpse of YU55 asteroid as it passed by, the person would have needed a telescope with an aperture of at least six inches and to be out of a city or away from any light pollution.

Sky & Telescope magazine published charts that show YU55’s progress through the constellations.

Scientists at NASA’s Deep Space Network in the California desert have tracked the quarter-mile-wide asteroid since last week as it approached from the direction of the sun at 29,000 mph (46,671 kph).

Yesterday, NASA offered two places to take a closer look at the action – Asteroid And Comet.

Scientists tracked YU55 with antennae of the agency’s Deep Space Network at Goldstone, California, and the Arecibo Planetary Radar Facility in Puerto Rico.

The Clay Center Observatory in Massachusetts planned an all-night viewing party so children and parents could peer through research-grade telescopes and listen to lectures.

The asteroid can’t be detected with the naked eye.

For those without a telescope, the observatory streamed video of the flyby live on Ustream, attracting several thousand viewers.

If an asteroid that size were to hit, the impact would carve a crater four miles (6.4 km) across and 1,700 feet (518 metres) deep. And if it slammed into the ocean, it would trigger 70-foot (21-metre) high tsunami waves.

The space experts recently estimated that more than 90% of the near-Earth asteroids wider than 0.6 miles have been identified, but that thousands of asteroids in YU55’s size range remain undetected.

For a lighthearted look at our close encounter, Facebook features countless event pages, and the asteroid even has its own Twitter account (@AsteroidYU55). Search for YU55 or #YU55 for a plethora of tweets.

David Arquette, 40, told raunchy shock jock Howard Stern his heart now belongs to his new girlfriend Christina McLarty.

The star said “no its not a rebound”, adding that he was happy and conceding that he is in love.

But Howard Stern pressed further, asking: “If Courtney said to you, <<David, I made a mistake I want to work on our marriage. I want you moving back into the house, I want you to break up with that girl. I know we have to do this for our daughter.>> Would you consider it?”

David Arquette, who was wearing sunglasses that masked his eyes, said: “Uh, I mean, no.”

Howard Stern then said: “What did she do when you said, <<Courtney, I’m in love with a new woman?>>”

David Arquette said: “She was sad, we were both sad. We both cried.”

When he was finally questioned if he knew he was in love “this weekend”, David Arquette struggled to come up with an answer.

The actor finally piped up: “I don’t know why I always end up talking about my relationships. I try not to.”

After his public split with Courtney Cox, 47, in summer 2010, David Arquette was said to be devastated.

And with Courtney Cox giving him plenty of support as he took part in Dancing With The Stars, rumours were abounding they could reconcile.

But now David Arquette has hooked up with Entertainment Tonight star Christina McLarty, it looks like they will be dashed forever.

David Arquette has well and truly failed in his attempt to keep his mouth shut about his “adorable” girlfriend, who he said he was trying to keep under-wraps.

The actor previously said: “I’m trying to keep my personal life personal.

“It’s very hard for me because I’m a very honest person.”

Joe Frazier, the former heavyweight box champion, died Monday night at 67 after a brief final fight with liver cancer.

The family issued a release confirming the boxer’s death.

Joe Frazier, who handed Muhammad Ali his first defeat yet had to live forever in his shadow.

The boxer, who took on Muhammad Ali in three momentous fights in the 1970s – including the epic “Thrilla in Manilla” – had been under home hospice care in his Philadelphia home after being diagnosed just weeks ago with the cancer that took his life, a family friend said.

Until then, Joe Frazier had been doing regular autograph appearances, including one in Las Vegas in September.

Boxing promoter Don King called Joe Frazier a giant among men.

Smokin’ Joe was a small yet ferocious fighter who smothered his opponents with punches, including a devastating left hook he used to end many of his fights early.

It was the left hook that dropped Muhammad Ali in the 15th round at Madison Square Garden in 1971 to seal a win in the so-called “Fight of the Century”.

Though he beat Muhammad Ali in that fight, Joe Frazier lost the final two and for many years was bitter about the role Ali forced him to play as his foil.

“You can’t mention Ali without mentioning Joe Frazier,” said former AP boxing writer Ed Schuyler Jr.

“He beat Ali, don’t forget that.”

They fought three times, twice in the heart of New York City and once in the morning in a steamy arena in the Philippines.

They went 41 rounds together, with neither giving an inch and both giving it their all.

In their last fight in Manila in 1975, they traded punches with a fervor that seemed unimaginable among heavyweights.

Joe Frazier gave almost as good as he got for 14 rounds, then had to be held back by trainer Eddie Futch as he tried to go out for the final round, unable to see.

“Closest thing to dying that I know of,” Muhammad Ali said afterward.

Muhammad Ali was as merciless with Joe Frazier out of the ring as he was inside it. He called him a gorilla, and mocked him as an Uncle Tom.

But he respected him as a fighter, especially after Joe Frazier won a decision to defend his heavyweight title against the then-unbeaten Muhammad Ali in a fight that was so big Frank Sinatra was shooting pictures at ringside and both fighters earned an astonishing $2.5 million.

Joe Frazier, who handed Muhammad Ali his first defeat yet had to live forever in his shadow

The night at the Garden 40 years ago remained fresh in Joe Frazier’s mind as he talked about his life, career and relationship with Muhammad Ali a few months before he died.

Joe Frazier told The Associated Press: ”I can’t go nowhere where it’s not mentioned. That was the greatest thing that ever happened in my life.”

Though slowed in his later years and his speech slurred by the toll of punches taken in the ring, Joe Frazier was still active on the autograph circuit in the months before he died.

In September he went to Las Vegas, where he signed autographs in the lobby of the MGM Grand hotel-casino shortly before Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s fight against Victor Ortiz.

Joe Frazier was small for a heavyweight, weighing just 205 pounds when he won the title by stopping Jimmy Ellis in the fifth round of their 1970 fight at Madison Square Garden.

But he fought every minute of every round going forward behind a vicious left hook, and there were few fighters who could withstand his constant pressure.

His reign as heavyweight champion lasted only four fights – including the win over Muhammad Ali – before he ran into an even more fearsome slugger than himself.

George Foreman responded to Joe Frazier’s constant attack by dropping him three times in the first round and three more in the second before their 1973 fight in Jamaica was waved to a close and the world had a new heavyweight champion.

Two fights later, he met Muhammad Ali in a rematch of their first fight, only this time the outcome was different.

Muhammad Ali won a 12-round decision, and later that year stopped George Foreman in the Rumble in the Jungle in Zaire.

There had to be a third fight, though, and what a fight it was. With Muhammad Ali’s heavyweight title at stake, the two met in Manila in a fight that will long be seared in boxing history.

Joe Frazier went after Muhammad Ali round after round, landing his left hook with regularity as he made Ali backpedal around the ring.

Mariah Yeater, the young woman who claims Justin Bieber is the father of her child, has given her first ever TV interview.

Mariah Yeater, 20, has been dressed to look young and innocent, with minimal make-up and a white shirt beneath her pink sweater, unlike the controversial topless pictures of her which emerged last week.

It is difficult to tell from her body language what the truth is, but Mariah Yeater is close to tears as she explains Justin Bieber went from “cute and gushy to aggressive” during their liasion in a backstage toilet last year.

In the exclusive interview with The Insider, Mariah Yeater reinforces the claims that Justin Bieber fathered her four-month-old son Tristyn.

Mariah Yeater, 20, has been dressed to look young and innocent, with minimal make-up and a white shirt beneath her pink sweater, unlike the controversial topless pictures of her which emerged last week

Mariah Yeater gave birth following the alleged incident with Justin Bieber, which reportedly occurred following 30 seconds of unprotected sex in a VIP bathroom at the Staples Center in LA after a concert in October 2010.

Speaking of the incident, Mariah Yeater said:

“He (Bieber) immediately took a liking to me and we just got to talking and then he eventually asked me, <<Do you mind if we can go somewhere and be alone?>>”

She then said Justin Bieber, then 16-year-old, took her to a bathroom.

When she was asked over what evidence she has to support her claims, Mariah Yeater said she has provided the relevant to her attorney but could not discuss it on camera.

Mariah Yeater added: “It’ll show in court to prove that my allegations are true.”

Mariah Yeater’ son, Tristyn, was born in July, with a child support hearing scheduled for December 15.

Continuing with his career in the face of adversity, Justin Bieber accepted the Best Pop award at the MTV European Music Awards last night in Belfast.

Justin Bieber was also named Best Male, taking to the stage to collect his award and saying:

“Yo, two awards in the past 60 minutes.

“There’s been a lot of c**p on the internet lately, but I’ve pulled through.”

Andy Rooney, CBS News “60 Minutes” star died Friday night at 92, only a month after delivering his 1,097th and final televised commentary.

CBS announced the death of Andy Rooney, who launched his long career during World War II as a correspondent for the Stars and Stripes military newspaper and continued to be a fixture on “60 Minutes” until he retired last month after 33 years.

On October 25, CBS said Andy Rooney was hospitalized after developing serious complications after minor surgery.

Andy Rooney had gone to the hospital for an undisclosed surgery, but major complications developed and he never recovered.

He talked on “60 Minutes” about what was in the news, and his opinions occasionally got him in trouble. But he was just as likely to discuss the old clothes in his closet, why air travel had become unpleasant and why banks needed to have important sounding names.

Andy Rooney, CBS News "60 Minutes" star died Friday night at 92, only a month after delivering his 1,097th and final televised commentary

Andy Rooney won one of his three Emmy Awards for a piece on whether there was a real Mrs. Smith who made Mrs. Smith’s Pies. As it turned out, there was no Mrs. Smith.

“I obviously have a knack for getting on paper what a lot of people have thought and didn’t realize they thought,” Andy Rooney once said.

“And they say, <<Hey, yeah!>> And they like that.”

Looking for something new to punctuate its weekly broadcast, “60 Minutes” aired its first Andy Rooney commentary on July 2, 1987. He complained about people who keep track of how many people die in car accidents on holiday weekends. In fact, he said, the Fourth of July is “one of the safest weekends of the year to be going someplace”.

In early 2009, as he was about to turn 90, Andy Rooney looked ahead to President Barack Obama’s upcoming inauguration with a look at past inaugurations. He told viewers that Calvin Coolidge’s 1925 swearing-in was the first to be broadcast on radio, adding, “That may have been the most interesting thing Coolidge ever did.

For his final essay, Andy Rooney said that he’d live a life luckier than most.

“I wish I could do this forever. I can’t, though,” he said.

Andy Rooney said he probably hadn’t said anything on “60 Minutes” that most of his viewers didn’t already know or hadn’t thought.

“That’s what a writer does,” he said.

“A writer’s job is to tell the truth.”

Andy Rooney wrote for CBS stars such as Arthur Godfrey and Garry Moore during the 1950s and early 1960s, before settling into a partnership with newsman Harry Reasoner.

He left CBS in 1970 when it refused to air his angry essay about the Vietnam War. He went on TV for the first time, reading the essay on PBS and winning a Writers Guild of America award for it.

Andy Rooney returned to CBS three years later as a writer and producer of specials. Notable among them was the 1975 “Mr. Rooney Goes to Washington”, whose light-hearted but serious look at government won him a Peabody Award for excellence in broadcasting.

His words sometimes landed Andy Rooney in hot water. CBS suspended him for three months in 1990 for making racist remarks in an interview, which he denied.

Gay rights groups were mad, during the AIDS epidemic, when Andy Rooney mentioned homosexual unions in saying “many of the ills which kill us are self-induced”.

Indians protested when Andy Rooney suggested Native Americans who made money from casinos weren’t doing enough to help their own people.

Andy Rooney was one of television’s few voices to strongly oppose the war in Iraq after the George W. Bush administration launched it in 2002. After the fall of Baghdad in April 2003, he said he was chastened by its quick fall but didn’t regret his “60 Minutes” commentaries.

Andrew Aitken Rooney was born on Jan. 14, 1919, in Albany, N.Y., and worked as a copy boy on the Albany Knickerbocker News while in high school. College at Colgate University was cut short by World War II, when Rooney worked for the wartime newspaper Stars and Stripes.

With another former Stars and Stripes staffer, Oram C. Hutton, Andy Rooney wrote four books about the war. They included the 1947 book, “Their Conqueror’s Peace: A Report to the American Stockholders”, documenting offences against the Germans by occupying forces.

Andy Rooney and his wife, Marguerite, were married for 62 years before she died of heart failure in 2004. They had four children and lived in Rowayton, Connecticut. Daughter Emily Rooney is a former executive producer of ABC’s “World News Tonight”.

CBS News Chairman Jeff Fager paid tribute to Andy Rooney long career saying: “There’s nobody like Andy, and there never will be. He’ll hate hearing this, but he’s an American original.”

Before Andy Rooney delivered his final essay, Morley Safer – himself an 89-year-old journalist and a 60 Minutes staple since 1970 – interviewed him about his personal and professional life.

Andy Rooney admitted that he doesn’t sign autographs and rarely responds to fan mail, telling Morley Safer he didn’t “want to answer an idiot who would have the bad sense to write me a letter”.

Morley Safer described Andy Rooney as “America’s favourite grouch-in-chief”, saying he used his “loud whiny voice … speaking up for citizens fed up with everything”.

Crystal Harris, a woman who had been raped in her violent marriage has been victimized all over again after being forced to pay her her abusive ex-husband spousal support.

Crystal Harris is a financial analyst who makes a six-figure salary and said she had been supporting her out-of-work husband Shawn Harris for years.

When Crystal Harris hauled him to court following a violent sex attack, she was shocked to learn what the divorce would cost her.

Shawn Harris was jailed and forced to register as a sex offender after he was convicted of spousal rape last year.

After his conviction was handed down, Shawn Harris requested spousal support – and it was granted.

In cases such as this, the court will normally award $3,000 a month in spousal support, but lowered it to $1,000 amid the abuse claims.

“I call that the rape discount,” Crystal Harris told ABC News.

In addition, Crystal Harris was ordered to pay her ex-husband’s legal fees from the divorce case.

Crystal Harris told 10News.com: “It makes me feel victimized all over again that I should have to pay a dime to this man who has turned my life upside down.”

Throughout the trial, Shawn Harris claimed he was role-playing with his wife, an activity he said they often took part in, posing as Tarzan and Jane or a hooker and pimp.

One of the key pieces of evidence used to convict him was a tape recorder that Crystal Harris had hidden in her underwear drawer on the night of the attack.

Crystal Harris told ABC News: “To this day I feel broken-hearted about the fact that this has all happened. I’m not happy about the way my life has turned out.”

Shylah Silbery, a three-year-old girl from Wellington, New Zealand, survived for two days on eating cheese and leftover lasagne after her mother died suddenly leaving her locked in her home.

The little girl hugged her favourite toy – a teddy bear named Possum – as she waited alone in the house near her mother’s body.

Shylah Silbery was rescued when her mother’s relatives alerted the authorities when they had not heard from her for two days.

Police who went to the property managed to coax the little girl to drag a coffee table to the door so she could climb up and unlock it.

Shylah Silbery told police: “Mummy won’t wake up.”

Lauren Silbery, 28, was found face down next to her bed. Her daughter had been able to drink milk and feed herself with whatever she could find in the fridge.

Shylah Silbery, a three-year-old girl from Wellington, New Zealand, survived for two days on eating cheese and leftover lasagne after her mother died suddenly leaving her locked in her home

Shylah Silbery spent several days in hospital recovering from dehydration and urine burns before attending her mother’s funeral.

Shylah’s uncle Peter Silbery, 24, said: “I can only imagine her in there for that long, trying to wake Mum up.

“She’s doing okay now. She’s still bubbly. When we lowered the coffin into the grave at the cemetery, though, she pointed at it and said, <<Mummy’s in there>>. It was pretty heartbreaking.”

Lauren Silbery, 28, was found face down next to her bed

Peter Silbery spoke every night to his sister, but he nad his mother grew so concerned after failing to reach her for two days they rang a friend who lived nearby.

The friend went to the house and saw the little girl inside but no sign of Lauren .

Lauren Silbery’s mother, Heather, said: “Lauren and I were very close – she would ring me every morning.

“One day I was in the garden and that afternoon at about four o’clock… her brother Peter and I said, <<Well, we haven’t heard from Lauren>>.

So we got a friend to go around there and [the grandchild] had come to the cat door, but Lauren hadn’t, so I dialled 111.”

Heather Silbery said she knew Lauren was dead the instant she heard that neighbours couldn’t contact her.

“Lauren wouldn’t have done anything silly. She loved Shylah so much and was a devoted mum. But I knew exactly what had happened. It’s a mother’s instinct.

“Her daughter was everything to her. She was the type of person who has a nice way of bringing people together.”

Officers saw the little girl inside the house and taught her how to open the door by getting her to stand on a coffee table.

Shylah Silbery’s grandmother said: “[She] is still a bit quiet, but she still smiles and she’s one of those kids that makes you laugh and you love to have her around.

“When we started cleaning and taking Lauren’s stuff out of the flat, she did say <<Mummy won’t wake up>> and when we went back in, she had shut her mother’s bedroom door.

“She goes all around the flat happy, but she would not go in that room.”

The death of Lauren Silbery at her house in the Upper Hutt area of Wellington is as yet unexplained.

Police and the family believe that she died of natural causes but an investigation on behalf of the coroner has now been started.

They said the fact Lauren Silbery was face down next to her bed was consistent with her having a heart attack or stroke and falling out of bed, but they said they need to wait for the results of an autopsy.

Shylah Silbery is now awaiting a Child, Youth and Family decision about whether she will be returned to her family.

The toddler was placed in CYF care after the discovery.

Yesterday, central regional director Karen Petrie said she hoped to place Shylah back with her family.

“This is an absolutely tragic event and our sympathy goes out to this family. Child, Youth and Family’s preference in these situations is to place children in the care of extended family members as long as this is in the best interests of the child, and circumstances permit.”

“Shylah Silbery was in regular contact with her family, and the agency was working with them to care for her immediate needs,” Karen Petrie said.

Mariah Yeater from California has claimed Justin Bieber was a virgin when they had a seedy liaison backstage at one of his concerts.

Mariah Yeater, 20, who alleges that Justin Bieber is the father of her baby, said he had told her he was a virgin before hastily removing her clothes in a bathroom.

The young woman also claims that her sexual encounter with Justin Bieber was “brief, lasting only approximately 30 seconds”.

Mariah Yeater from California has claimed Justin Bieber was a virgin when they had a seedy liaison backstage at one of his concerts

Mariah Yeater reportedly claimed in court papers that she had sex after the singer’s October 25, 2010, concert at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.

In an affidavit, Mariah Yeater allegedly said a security guard working for Justin Bieber approached her and “asked if I wanted to meet Justin Bieber’ before shepherding her backstage.

“After waiting for a short period of time with several young women, Justin Bieber appeared and engaged me in conversation.

“Immediately, it was obvious that we were mutually attracted to one another, and we began to kiss. Shortly thereafter, Justin Bieber suggested that I go with him to a private place where we could be alone.

“I agreed…and on the walk to a private area, he told me he wanted to make love to me and this was going to be his first time.”

Mariah Yeater said Justin Bieber led her to a bathroom where “immediately his personality changed drastically”.

“He began touching me … at the time I asked him to put a condom on for protection, but he insisted that he did not want to.”

Mariah Yeater now wants Justin Bieber to take a paternity test to “scientifically confirm” he is the father of her three-month-old son, according to Star magazine in the U.S.

In court papers filed on Monday, Mariah Yeater is also demanding Justin Bieber “provide adequate support for my baby”.

Justin Bieber’ spokesman denied the “malicious” allegations while the singer himself dismissed them as “gossip”.

Mariah Yeater claims she was 19 when she was seduced by Justin Bieber, who is currently dating Selena Gomez, 19, best known for her role on the Disney show Wizards of Waverly Place.

Justin Bieber has publicly blasted casual sex in the past, saying: “I don’t think you should have sex with anyone unless you love them.”

But Mariah Yeater may be the one who is in trouble because Justin Bieber was 16 at the time of the alleged incident.

Under California law, the legal age of consent is 18 and police are required to launch a rape inquiry into any claims of illicit sex.

Mariah Yeater’s baby – Tristyn Anthony Markhouse – was born on July 6.

Her grandfather, Eddie Markhouse has come forward to insist she is telling the truth.

Eddie Markhouse told Radaronline.com: “I don’t know the whole story. But, from what I understood, she met him at a concert and he sent two security guards down off of the stage to bring her backstage to meet him.

“She’s basically an honest good person. She’s got a big heart. She’s a good kid and she loves this baby.”

Justin Bieber has sold millions of records around the world after first being discovered in 2008 when a talent manager spotted his videos on YouTube.

The singer’s debut album My World went platinum.

Justin Bieber was raised by his mother, Pattie as a devout Christian and says he talks to Jesus and “he’s the reason I’m here”. The singer is said to pray before concerts.

Justin Bieber has been dating girlfriend Selena Gomez since the end of last year but the couple waited until the Oscars in March to make their first public debut together.

Oprah Winfrey had a suicidal attempt in 1981 when she discovered the man she was in love with, DJ Tim Watts was married with children.

Oprah Winfrey was so distraught that she could not be with radio DJ Tim Watts that she drove her car into a tree in an apparent suicide bid.

The TV star even wrote a “suicide note” to best friend Gayle King, who put her on a 24/7 watch after she survived the smash.

Tim Watts, now 59, told the National Enquirer that he and Oprah Winfrey, now 57, were “both young and at an age when people do stupid things they might regret later”.

Tim Watts insisted that they were now good friends and that they had both put their past behind them.

The National Enquirer reported that Tim Watts met Oprah Winfrey in 1981 when she was a production assistant at WJZ-TV in Baltimore.

Tim Watts was the man she would have “married in a heartbeat” – until the night she followed him home and discovered he was already married with children.

A source told the National Enquirer: “She was so upset she smashed her car into a tree.”

After a while, Oprah Winfrey decided not to kill herself but did keep the love letters that Tim Watts sent her.

Oprah Winfrey also used the episode to better understand why she allowed men to walk all over her.

Tim Watts, who is still a radio DJ for a station in Baltimore, said: “Friends are hard to come by so I’ll hold onto the few I have.

“What happened between me and Oprah took place a long time ago and we have both learned from it.

“I have no hard feelings towards her and she has none towards me.

“We were both young and at an age when people do stupid things they might regret later. We both moved on and are at good place in our lives.”

Tim Watts however refused to talk about claims by the National Enquirer or Oprah Winfrey biographer Kitty Kelly that he was paid $50,000 never to talk about their relationship and how they apparently “played house” as husband and wife.

Reports say the money could also have been to keep Tim Watts quiet about Oprah’s half-brother Jeffrey, who was gay and died from AIDS.

According to another source: “Tim feels horrible about the way he treated Oprah but he’s asked for forgiveness.

“Oprah believes in forgiving people, so she did. They’ve been able to start their relationship over, remembering the good times, not the bad.”

The story about Oprah Winfrey relationship with Tim Watts is the latest in a series of upheavals for her.

Since finishing the 25-year run of her Oprah Winfrey show, the TV star has relocated from Chicago to California to help bolster her ailing OWN network.

After its blockbuster launch in January which saw one million people tune in, ratings for OWN have tumbled and now average about 300,000 in prime time and 150,000 in the day.

Oprah Winfrey also recently discovered she had a half sister she did not know about for more than half a century.

Patricia Winfrey was given up for adoption by her mother Vernita Lee shortly after her birth in 1963.

Oprah Winfrey was unaware of Patricia existence until she was informed in November and the news “shocked her to the core”.

Born in Kosciusko, Mississippi, in 1954, Oprah Winfrey claimed she was so poor she never had any new clothes or toys and adopted two cockroaches as pets.

Oprah Winfrey claims she was raped and abused by unidentified family friends as a child and at the age of 14 gave birth to a son who died a week later.

Having spent more than 20 years on TV, Oprah Winfrey is now one of the most successful women in the world with a fortune estimated at $2.7 billion.

After her relationship with Tim Watts Oprah Winfrey met marketing executive and motivational speaker Stedman Graham in 1986.

Oprah Winfrey and Stedman Graham have been together ever since and whilst they did once get engaged, they have never married.

German media revealed thar Russian PM, Vladimir Putin has been accused of being a wife-beater and philanderer by German spies.

Vladimir Putin allegedly had several affairs while he was himself a spy in Dresden, former East Germany in the late Eighties.

Files from West German spy agency BND published in the German media claim an interpreter agent befriended Putin’s wife Lyudmila, now 53, who poured her heart out about her marriage.

Lyudmila allegedly told the agent that her husband used “domestic violence and [had] numerous sexual affairs”.

Vladimir Putin, 59, a former Russian President who is expected to return to power next year, headed Soviet intelligence operations in the East German city from 1985 to 1990.

The files were discovered by BND expert Erich Schmidt-Eenboom, author of several books and papers on the spy agency.

Lyudmila Putin once damned her husband with faint praise by confiding to a friend: “At least he doesn’t beat me.” And Putin has been quoted in the past as telling a friend: “Anyone who can spend three weeks with Lyudmila deserves a monument.”

PM Vladimir Putin’s chief spokesman yesterday said he had “no comment” on the reports.

Vladimir Putin’s alleged murky past was discovered by acknowledged BND expert Erich Schmidt-Eenboom, author of numerous books and papers on the agency.

The Berliner Zeitung in Germany said Vladimir Putin is alleged by his wife, Lyudmila, to have used "domestic violence and to have had numerous sexual affairs"

The Berliner Zeitung in Germany said Vladimir Putin is alleged by his wife, Lyudmila, to have used "domestic violence and to have had numerous sexual affairs"

Eenboom was researching the intelligence coup of placing an agent inside KGB headquarters for his doctorate when he came across the information about Putin’s extramarital affairs.

A senior intelligence expert in Germany said: “He is on the money on this. And I personally have it on authority from two previous presidents of the BND that Putin was a sexual player during his time in Dresden.”

The interpreter agent, a Baltic Russian with German roots identified only as Lenchen Sch., became a pal of Lyudmila Putin and visited her at the flat at 101 Raderbergerstrasse she shared with her husband in the city.

The paper said Lenchen – codenamed “Balcony”, because of her large breasts – became a shoulder to cry on for Lyudmila Putin as she poured her heart out about her then 33-year-old husband’s alleged infidelities and abuse.

The Berliner Zeitung in Germany said Vladimir Putin is alleged by Lyudmila to have used “domestic violence and to have had numerous sexual affairs”.

It also said this information was passed on to Germany’s Office for the Protection of the Constitution and to NATO allies.

Bild, Germany’s biggest paper, said: “This report gives added nourishment to the rumour that the Lt. Col. and vice- KGB boss [Putin] left in his black Volga limousine in the spring of 1990 allegedly leaving an illegitimate baby behind.”

BND spokesman Dieter Arndt said: “We do not discuss our methods or our investigations.”

Lenchen made it to the west in 1989, shortly before the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Lenchen was pregnant with the child of a KGB officer and now lives on a BND pension in southern Germany.

Vladimir Putin’s office did not respond to requests for comment.

Mariah Yeater from California is said to have filed a lawsuit against Justin Bieber alleging he is the father of her three-month-old baby, Radaronline.com reported.

According to reports, Mariah Yeater, 20, is asking Justin Bieber to take a paternity test.

Justin Bieber, 17, is currently dating pop sweetheart Selena Gomez, 19.

Radaronline.com reports that Star magazine have obtained the court papers, which are said to have be filed late October, making the request.

The website also reported that Mariah Yeater asks for Justin Bieber “to provide adequate support for my baby”.

Mariah Yeater claims she had sex with Justin Bieber on October 25, 2010, when she was aged 19-years-old and he was aged 16-years-old out the time.

That would mean under California law that Justin Bieber was underage and if the claims turn out to be true Mariah Yeater would be guilty of statutory rape of a minor.

According to Radaronline.com a hand-signed affidavit has been reviewed and claiming that Mariah Yeater was invited backstage by bodyguards after Justin Bieber’s performance at the Los Angeles Staples centre.

The report said that after describing meeting Justin Bieber, Mariah Yeater wrote in the affidavit: “Immediately, it was obvious that we were mutually attracted to one another, and we began to kiss. Shortly thereafter, Justin Bieber suggested that I go with him to a private place where we could be alone.

“I agreed to go with him and on the walk to a private area, he told me he wanted to make love to me and this was going to be his first time.

“We went inside and immediately his personality changed drastically. He began touching me and repeatedly said he wanted to f*** the s*** out of me. At the time I asked him to put a condom for protection, but he insisted that he did not want to.

“In his own words, he said that because it was his first time he wanted to feel everything.”

Mariah Yeater is said to have described the intercourse as “brief”.

A court hearing is said to have been set for December 15.

According to TMZ, a spokesperson for Justin Bieber said: “While we haven’t yet seen the lawsuit, it’s sad that someone would fabricate malicious, defamatory, and demonstrably false claims.”

Justin Bieber has been dating Selena Gomez since the end of 2010 but the couple waited until the Oscars in March to make their first public debut together.

Last month when Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were both in Winnipeg and they spent an amorous evening watching the basketball together and were seen smooching from a private box.

While Selena Gomez has been looking after Baylor, the dog is said to be both Selena and Justin’s and the couple are thought to have adopted the pup from an animal rescue centre in Winnipeg on October 14.

In February this year Justin Bieber, who is a Christian, spoke out about pre-marital sex in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine and said: “I don’t think you should have sex with anyone unless you love them.”

Hillary Clinton’s mother, Dorothy Rodham has died aged 92 shortly after midnight on November 1.

Hillary Clinton cancelled a planned trip to London and Turkey after her mother fell ill on Monday.

Dorothy Rodham died in Washington surrounded by her family , according to a release from Clinton Foundation.

Hillary Clinton‘s mother was the last surviving parent of the US Secretary of State.

The family statement remembered Dorothy Rodham as “a warm, generous and strong woman; an intellectual; a woman who told a great joke and always got the joke; an extraordinary friend and, most of all, a loving wife, mother and grandmother.”

“Her family is and will be forever grateful for the gift of Dorothy’s life and for the memories they will treasure forever.”

The statement didn’t say about the nature of Dorothy Rodham’s illness.

Hillary Clinton was due to attend international conferences on cyber-security and Afghanistan but rushed to be at her ailing mother’s side.

Dorothy Rodham was married to Hugh Rodham, an American textile wholesaler who died in 1993.

Hillary Clinton’s mother was born in Chicago, Illinois into a dysfunctional family.

Dorothy Rodham eventually went to live with her father’s parents in California when she was just eight years old, making the 2,000-mile train trip alone with her younger sister.

As a schoolgirl, Dorothy Rodham was banished to her bedroom for a year by her grandparents after she was caught trick-or-treating and at the age of 14 she took a job as a nanny.

When her mother wrote to her while she was still in high school asking her to return to Chicago, she saw it as a chance of a reunion.

However, that hope for reconciliation was short-lived and Dorothy Rodham was asked to work as her mother’s housekeeper.

Determined not to have a family like her own, Dorothy Rodham became a dedicated housewife, raising Hillary and her brothers, Hugh and Tony in Park Ridge Illinois.

Dorothy Rodham was very close to Hillary and moved to Arkansas so that she could watch her granddaughter, Chelsea, grow up.

Dorothy Rodham rarely spoke to the media and makes few public appearances but did appear in 2007 during Hillary Clinton’s presidential nomination bid and on a television advertisement.

She is described by the Washington Post as Hillary Clinton’s “most enduring influence”.

Hillary Clinton was even more protective of her mother than Chelsea Clinton when it comes to making public appearances.

The US Secretary of State wrote in her autobiography Living History: “I’m still amazed at how my mother emerged from her lonely early life as such an affectionate and level-headed woman.”

Hillary Clinton was due in London on Tuesday where she would appear alongside the UK’s foreign secretary, William Hague at London’s Conference on Cyberspace and was due to speak this afternoon.

Later this week Hillary Clinton was expected at a conference will take place in Istanbul on Wednesday focusing on creating a regional strategy for boosting security and economic development in Afghanistan.

Statement on Dorothy Rodham’s death

Dorothy Howell Rodham was born in Chicago on June 4, 1919 and died shortly after midnight on November 1, 2011 in Washington, D.C., surrounded by her family. Her story was a quintessentially American one, largely because she wrote it herself. She overcame abandonment and hardship as a young girl to become the remarkable woman she was — a warm, generous and strong woman; an intellectual; a woman who told a great joke and always got the joke; an extraordinary friend and, most of all, a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Dorothy is and always will be lovingly remembered by her daughter and son-in-law, Hillary Rodham Clinton and Bill Clinton; her sons and daughters-in-law, Hugh Rodham and Maria Rodham and Tony Rodham and Megan Rodham; her grandchildren, Chelsea Clinton and her husband Marc Mezvinsky, Zachary Rodham, Fiona Rodham and Simon Rodham. She leaves behind many friends from all stages and places in her life, friends from California she met in high school, friends from Little Rock and Washington with whom she explored the world, the people who were first her doctors and then became her friends at George Washington Hospital, to the people she met through her children and grandchildren who became as much her friend as theirs.

To honor Dorothy, her family will hold a private celebration of her life for family and friends. In lieu of flowers and in line with what Dorothy would have wanted, the family have asked that any one who would want to do so would make a donation in Dorothy’s memory to George Washington Hospital (http://www.gwhospital.com/Donations) where she received excellent care and made terrific friends over many years; to the Heifer Project (http://www.heifer.org/), her Christmas gift of choice in 2010 and an organization dear to her heart; or to a local organization meaningful to the giver that helps neglected and mistreated children, a blight Dorothy was determined to remedy until her last day because she knew too well the pain too many children suffer. Her family is and will be forever grateful for the gift of Dorothy’s life and for the memories they will treasure forever.

George Soros has hit back at his ex-girlfriend Adriana Ferreyr, who is suing him for $50 million, calling her a money-grabber who is trying to distort him for his fortune.

Adriana Ferreyr, 28, brought a lawsuit against billionaire George Soros, 81, earlier this year for “severe emotional distress and damages” including an incident in which he allegedly slapped her in the face and attempted to throttle her.

Adriana Ferreyr also claimed that George Soros – who is worth an estimated $14.5 billion – dumped her after a five-year relationship and went back on an agreement to buy her a $1.9 million Upper East Side apartment.

The New York Post reported that George Soros’ lawyer served Adriana Ferreyr’s lawyers with papers arguing that the case should be dismissed.

In those documents, billionaire George Soros states that they had an “on-again, off-again and non-exclusive intimate relationship”.

George Soros has hit back at his ex-girlfriend Adriana Ferreyr, who is suing him for $50 million, calling her a money-grabber who is trying to distort him for his fortune

The papers also claim Adriana Ferreyr tried to extract millions more as “part of her continued request to cash in on their casual relationship”.

George Soros said in his papers that the claims he promised to buy his ex-girlfriend an apartment were “preposterous” and that she was “disappointed that Soros moved on to other women, ending her hopes of living in an extravagant <<dream apartment>> for free”.

Adriana Ferreyr claimed in her lawsuit that she was terrified during a row over property with the financier and that he became violent and threw a lamp at her when she asked why he had given the apartment he allegedly promised her to another woman, telling her: “I don’t care.”

George Soros said Adriana Ferreyr accusations are “odious and utterly baseless” and that the lamp fell on her foot.

Adriana Ferreyr’s lawyer told the New York Post: “These are chauvinistic and simplistic statements which are devoid of any reality.

“I do not believe this motion to dismiss will be successful.”

During an interview two months ago, Adriana Ferreyr also opened up about their five-year relationship and claimed that George Soros was tight-fisted and bought her nothing for the first three years.

It was only in the fourth year that she even got a birthday present, the Brazilian soap opera star claims.

Adriana Ferreyr said: “During the first three years, he gave me nothing, not even a birthday present. He changed and became cruel. I don’t know why he would do this to me.

“George is so powerful, he thinks he can get rid of anyone he wants. But I am not going away. I am going to fight.

“We were in bed, and he just replied coldly and bluntly that he had given [the apartment] to his other girlfriend. I got emotional and cried . . . He just said, <<I don’t care>>. I was in bed with him. It was horrifying for me.”

Adriana Ferreyr, who is studying at Columbia University in New York, added: “I was completely heartbroken.”

Problems surfaced early last year, when George Soros allegedly promised to buy Adriana Ferreyr a Manhattan apartment but revoked his offer at the last minute.

George Soros and Adriana Ferreyr broke up but reconciled until last August, when he allegedly revealed whilst they were in bed that he had given the apartment to another of his girlfriends, Tamiko Bolton, 39, his travelling nurse.

During the ensuing row, George Soros is said to have choked Adriana Ferreyr and a lamp was broken which she stepped on, cutting her foot.

Adriana Ferreyr said: “He just snapped. I had never seen him like that before. I was afraid.”

Kim Kardashian has filed for divorce from NBA star Kris Humphries this morning after just 72 days of marriage.

Kim Kardashian, 31, is seeking the divorce from husband Kris Humphries, 26, on the grounds of “irreconcilable differences”, according to the court documents.

Kim Kardashian said in a statement to E!, which screens her TV show:

“I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision. I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don’t work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best.”

This morning Ryan Seacrest, the producer of Kim Kardashian‘s reality show, tweeted:

“Yes @KimKardashian is filing for divorce this morning. I touched base with her, getting a statement in just a few mins.”

Kim Kardashian ensured they both signed a prenuptial agreement before they got hitched at a lavish ceremony two months ago, on August 20 in Montecito, California.

It netted the couple a reported $18 million from magazine deals, TV coverage and endorsements, that’s $250,000 every day.

Today Kim took to Twitter, but rather than mentioning anything about her marital breakdown cynically plugged her new boutique Kardashian Khaos, which opens tomorrow at The Mirage hotel in Las Vegas.

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries’ separation is listed as today (October 31), according to the divorce papers logged with the Superior Court of California.

The reality star has hired top divorce lawyer Laura Wasser, who has dealt with the likes of Britney Spears, Maria Shriver, Angelina Jolie and Ryan Reynolds.

Her husband, Kris Humphries didn’t know she was actually filing for divorce until this morning, TMZ reported.

TMZ goes on to claim that Kris Humphries is “totally bummed” about the situation and “doesn’t believe in divorce”.

E! TV today released a statement about Kim Kardashian’s divorce:

“All of us at E! are surprised and saddened by this news, and we send our support to Kim and Kris at this difficult time.

“The Kardashians have always been uniquely open with all aspects of their lives from joyous events to intimate moments to heartbreaking transitions.

“E! will continue to share the fascinating real lives and larger-than-life existence of this close-knit family.”

Earlier this month there were reports saying that Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries’ marriage had hit the rocks.

A source close to them said just two weeks ago: “I don’t know when they’ll announce the split or why they got married in the first place but they are done.”

“They are divorcing. Kim has been staying in a New York hotel which Kris has failed to visit.”

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries have been dogged by persistent reports that all is not well between them for several weeks now.

Star magazine claimed Kris Humphries has been spotted partying in both Miami and New York without Kim Kardashian, getting flirty with multiple women and “acting like a single man”.

Meanwhile, Life & Style magazine claimed that on a recent trip to Toronto, Kris Humphries contacted his ex-girlfriend, Bianka Kamber.

Life & Style magazine also spoke to a Kourtney & Kim Take New York producer who said: “Kim’s mapping out 2012, including holidays, and Kris isn’t a part of it. Any itineraries for the future don’t include Kris very much.”

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries’ fiery relationship was captured on her reality show Keeping Up With Kardashians, where strong-minded Kris frequently complained about feeling “emasculated” by his wife.

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries started dating in December 2010 soon after she ended her brief dalliance with Canadian model Gabriel Aubry (Halle Berry’s ex) and announced their engagement in May.

The divorce will mark the second failed marriage for Kim Kardashian, she eloped to Las Vegas with music producer Damon Thomas – 10 years her senior – when she was just 19, but divorced in 2004 after four years together.

Kim Kardashian has also had high-profile relationships with RnB singer Ray J, who she filmed a sex tape with, and NFL star Reggie Bush.
