Giuliana Rancic has revealed the secret to her happy and healthy marriage.
Giuliana Rancic, 37, claims that she and husband Bill put their relationship above their son Duke, who is almost five months old.
“We’re husband and wife, but we’re also best friends, and it’s funny because a lot of people, when they have kids, they put the baby first, and the marriage second,” she told Us Weekly.
“That works for some people. For us, I find, we put our marriage first and our child second, because the best thing we can do for him is have a strong marriage.”
Giuliana Rancic added: “So we’re even stronger than we ever were before and even imagined we could be.”

She also revealed how she and Bill Rancic happily divide parenting duties, and how her doting husband ensured she was well-rested before covering the Oscars red carpet.
“Oscar morning, Duke wakes up, like, twice during the night because he’s so hungry and wants to eat every four hours,” Giuliana Rancic divulged.
“So Bill, like, no question was like <<I got it. Tonight you get a good night’s sleep>>.
“And when Bill has shoots the next day or meetings the next day, I do it.
“It’s kind of amazing. I always say to Bill, <<You were my first baby>>, because he was! He was my first love and my first baby and Duke is my second baby.”
Duke was born via gestational surrogate in August, and Giuliana and Bill Rancic hope to have another child.

The 37-year-old discussed the joys of motherhood on the Today show this morning and also shared a snap of the three-week-old child.
“I look at that picture ten times a day and I still coo!” she gushed as the sweet photograph flashed up screen.
“He’s just adorable. He’s so cute!”
“We just stare at him all the time,” she continued.
“He’s got big eyes and he’ll just stare at you for ten minutes at a time. It’s just unbelievable.”

Giuliana Rancic said that rather than dreading night time feeds, she and Bill fight over who will wake up to give him his bottle.
“I love spending every second I can with him,” she said.
She also spoke about her surrogate, Delphine, whom she describes as a “wonderful person”.
“She gave us the greatest gift in the world,” she said, adding that the couple were present in the delivery room when their child was born.
“When the baby came into the world, we just started hysterically crying tears of joy,” she explained.
Giuliana Rancic admitted she was again in tears last night when she left her son with her husband in Chicago for the first time to fly to New York.
But it was for a good cause – she was on the show to promote Do It For The Girls Day, which encourages women to give themselves a breast examinations.
During Giuliana Rancic’s third attempt to get pregnant through IVF her doctor discovered she had breast cancer. But she is now cancer-free following a double mastectomy and is keen to encourage early detection in others.
She said the past 12 months have been full of mixed emotions: “It was the best year of my life, because of the baby and the worst year of my life because of my cancer.”
“It just goes to show that if you’re strong and positive, great things can come out of the darkest time of your life.”

Appearing on the Today show this morning, an ecstatic Giuliana Rancic said: “We are so thrilled that our prayers have been answered.
“It was one of the best moments of my life, if not the best moment of my life.
“It’s incredible. We’ve been trying for so long, we’ve been through so much…And to finally get that call from the doctor, it was just another world, another level.”

Bill Rancic, 40, added: “We are absolutely ecstatic to be sharing this with everyone who has been following our journey.”
The unnamed surrogate mother is due to give birth in late summer, with the both of the Rancics being the genetic parents.
Giuliana Rancic already said they know the sex of the child, but were going to try and keep it secret from the media.
The E! News host admitted: “But we’re seeing how long we can keep it secret.”
The mother lives out of California – where they are based – and the Rancics visit her every month and join her for hospital appointments.
Following their TV announcement, Bill Rancic wrote on Twitter: “The Rancic family is growing….thank you for all the prayers & support!!!”
Their wish to have children contributed to Giuliana Rancic’s decision to have a double mastectomy last December following her breast cancer diagnosis.
The couple were concerned that the medication and treatments following a lumpectomy and radiation therapy would have further delayed their hopes for parenthood.
Two years ago, Giuliana Rancic suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage.
At the time, she said: “I said, <<I’m not doing this again. I can’t>>. I was angry at life and at God.”
But the couple went on to try in-vitro fertilization, before that was halted following her diagnosis.
Giuliana Rancic is the latest in a list of celebrities to use a surrogate to become a parent.
Ricky Martin has three-year-old sons Matteo and Valentino via a surrogate, while Sir Elton John and civil partner David Furnish welcomed baby Zachary together in December 2010.
Sarah Jessica Parker’s twin daughters Tabitha and Marion were born via surrogate in 2009, as was Nicole Kidman’s youngest daughter Faith in December 2010.
Hunger Games star Elizabeth Banks recently admitted a “womb issue” stopped her from getting pregnant when she explained her reason to use a surrogate to bring her son Max into the world last year.
