White House Easter Egg Roll 2015: More than 35,000 people expected at Easter egg hunt
President Barack Obama and his family will host the 137th annual White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday, April 6, 2015.
According to the White House’s website, this year’s theme is #GimmeFive, and more than 35,000 people will gather on the South Lawn to join in the celebrations.
The event will feature sports and fitness zones, cooking demonstrations, and Easter classics such as the egg roll and egg hunt, live music and storytelling.
The day’s activities will encourage children to lead healthy, active lives in support of Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! initiative.
Tickets for the White House Easter Egg Roll were provided free of charge and were distributed via an online lottery hosted on www.recreation.gov.
