Doubts had been raised over whether Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher had ever really been man and wife, but a legal document has emerged that proves they were in fact legally married.

Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore had sparked speculation they never truly tied the know after failing to lodge divorce documents almost a year after splitting.

But they are named as spouses in a new uncovered quitclaim deed, which is a legal instrument by which the owner of a piece of real property, called the grantor, transfers his or her interest to a recipient, called the grantee.

The paper, obtained by InTouch, shows that Demi Moore, 49, gave up her claim to a piece of property in Los Angeles, a move that no doubt put a smile on wealthy Ashton Kutcher’s face.

Demi Moore signed the document in March, suggesting the pair may be finding their own way of divvying up their rich portfolio of assets.

She announced she was ending their marriage in November amid a slew of cheating claims, and Ashton Kutcher has now moved onto younger pastures with new love Mila Kunis.

Sources had told Radar Online that the former couple’s Kabbalah wedding was merely a ‘symbolic ceremony and not a legal marriage’.

The couple wed in September 2005 in a ceremony attended by 150 guests, including Demi Moore’s ex-husband Bruce Willis.

New reports have claimed that late singer Robin Gibb was investigated by the FBI after allegedly making death threats against his first wife’s divorce lawyer.

Robin Gibb separated from Molly Hullis in 1980 after 12 years of marriage and newly-released documents show just how ugly the split turned.

Staff at Haymon & Walters, the law firm representing Molly Hullis, reported Robin Gibb to authorities after receiving “numerous threatening telegrams from Gibb which threatened their lives”, the records show.

He told them he had hired a hitman to kill them, sparking a probe by investigators that could have led to jail.

Robin Gibb, who died from colon cancer in May, sent telegrams from his home in Miami, Florida to the law firm of Haymon & Walters.

In one, Robin Gibb wrote: “What you have done is just about the limit. I warned and warned you. The situation is now very serious. Know one (sic) walks all over me… I have had enough.”

He added: “I have taken out a contract on (name deleted by FBI). It is now a question of time.”

The New York Post acquired the legal papers from the FBI after a Freedom of Information request following Robin Gibb’s death in May after a battle with liver and colon cancer.

They show that investigators considered taking further action and asking Western Union, who sent the telegrams, for further information.

Agents also discussed how to look into the allegations without tipping off Robin Gibb who was at the height of his fame with brothers Maurice and Robin after the success of the album Saturday Night Fever.

The matter was eventually dropped after Robin Gibb’s lawyers wrote to the FBI and said the singer “would not be foolish enough to carry out any threat, especially in view of his singing career”.

According to the New York Post, Robin Gibb’s accused his wife of tipping off the FBI in an attempt to embarrass the star as a negotiating tactic in their divorce.

Documents reveal that the FBI closed the file on Robin Gibb in March 1981 because Molly Hullis and her lawyers declined to press charges.

A spokesman for Gibb family said they had no comment to make.

Robin Gibb and Molly Hullis, who met when he was just 18, had two children by the time he was in his early 20s. But the marriage had began to fall apart when he became dependent on amphetamines to stay up recording.

In interviews before his death, he revealed he did not spend as much time with her as she wanted.

“She wanted more of a home and roots. Because of my nature and work, I needed to keep changing my environment,” he said.

As she raised their children in Surrey, England, he went on a one-night-stand rampage across the U.S., estimating he slept with more than 100 women.

“They were mostly a distraction, almost like notches on a belt,” he recalled.

After their bitter divorce and custody battle – where he was banned from seeing his children, Molly Hullis remained in the UK after their divorce while the Gibb brothers settled in Florida.

Robin Gibb married his second wife, artist and author Dwina Murphy, in 1985 and they went on to have a son. In 2008, his housekeeper Claire Yang gave birth to their love child.

Robin Gibb once revealed he and Dwina, who were married until his death, had an “open marriage” and she confirmed: “We have an open relationship. Robin has had flings with friends of mine and he talks to me about them.”

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have announced they are divorcing after five years of marriage.

Tom Cruise, 49, said he was “deeply saddened” that his younger wife, Katie Holmes, 33, had filed for a separation.

He revealed Katie Holmes had initiated the split, bringing a dramatic end to one of Hollywood’s most high-profile romances.

In a surprise move, Katie Holmes is understood to have filed for sole custody of the couple’s daughter Suri, six.

“This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family,” Katie Holmes’s lawyer Jonathan Wolfe said in a statement to People magazine.

“Katie’s primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter’s best interest.”

A spokesperson for Tom Cruise, who is currently in Iceland filming his new sci-fi movie Oblivion, said: “Kate has filed for divorce and Tom is deeply saddened and is concentrating on his three children.”

The actress filed documents in New York this week citing “irreconcilable differences”.

Katie Holmes has asked for legal custody, primary residential custody and a “suitable amount” of child support from her husband, TMZ reports.

She is also asking for a division of property in the divorce documents, although there is a significant pre-nuptial agreement that is based on California law.

The couple is worth around $275 million – much of that owing to Tom Cruise’s box office success.

The terms of the pre-nup are understood to be clear – for each year the couple stay married, Katie Holmes collects $3million – to a maximum of $33 million after 11 years – as well as their palatial home in California.

If their marriage had lasted more than 11 years, Katie Holmes would have received half of Tom Cruise’s reportedly $250 million fortune.

After filing for divorce less than six years later, according to the agreement, Katie Holmes should only be entitled to $15 million as well as the couple’s $35 million Beverly Hills Mansion.

But with an estate worth upwards of $275 million, Katie Holmes is expected to seek much more and there is already intense speculation as to how much she will collect when the papers are signed.

Tom Cruise is believed to have “not seen” the divorce coming.

But sources insist that Katie Holmes did tell him that she was filing for divorce – but she didn’t give him a chance to control the spread of the news, as he did with Nicole Kidman.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have announced they are divorcing after five years of marriage

The fact that she issued a solo statement speaks of some heat around the final extinguishing of the marriage.

The pair has not been seen together in public for almost three months – they were last pictured on April 5 while in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Katie Holmes failed to turn up to at any of the worldwide premieres of her husband’s latest film Rock of Ages, despite Tom Cruise’s constant protestations of love for his wife.

The final arguments seem to have been over where Tom Cruise was going to spend his 50th birthday on Tuesday. He told her that he was planning to be on the set of his latest film Oblivion, in Iceland, and that seems to have been the last straw.

Katie Holmes had frequently been pictured looking drawn and exhausted during her marriage. One Hollywood source said she had been “utterly miserable with Tom for months, if not years”.

Indeed, the row over his birthday followed another bust-up over what Katie Holmes felt were embarrassingly bad taste pictures of him on the cover of W magazine last month.

He was dressed – or rather undressed – as the rock star Stacee Jaxx, the character he plays in Rock of Ages. Two half-dressed blondes were wrapped around him, one licking his face.

Katie Holmes, a nice girl from Ohio who is nevertheless very aware of why Tom Cruise feels the need to play the macho card in public, was apparently “speechless” with disgust and felt the pictures laid both of them open to ridicule.

The marriage has been in such poor shape that for the past year they have led almost entirely separate lives.

Katie Holmes has chosen to stay with Suri in Tom Cruise’s New York apartment while he has travelled the world working.

Suri has been her constant and only companion. They are often out together until late, and Katie Holmes – who gave up all the threads of her old life to become Mrs. Tom Cruise – seems to have no other friends at all.

A shopping and sundries budget reputed to run at $125,000-a- month could only keep her amused for so long.

One Hollywood source said today: “It was an open secret that she was utterly miserable with Tom, and had been for months if not years. They really couldn’t drag out the pretence any longer.”

Another source added: “Katie spent her time avoiding him, and they rowed terribly.”

When Tom Cruise was filming Rock of Ages in Miami, Katie Holmes came along with Suri and they made a family holiday of it. But since then they have spent no more than a handful of nights under the same roof.

Katie Holmes, who used to have a poster of Tom Cruise on her bedroom wall, found that being married to an intense, workaholic, and deeply religious megastar was no picnic.

In pictures of her going about her daily business she looked completely worn out. Her brown hair was prematurely grey, she never wore make up. One shapeless cardigan was succeeded by another baggy jumper.

Those close to her said that she felt he wasn’t putting any effort into her or the marriage.

Her once promising film career – she had been the love interest in Batman Begins – had been stifled. Roles evaporated. She ended up trying to find work as a fashion designer, endorsing the line Holmes and Yang.

The bigger picture is that this is the end of the third of Tom Cruise’s marriages and a spectacular failure of his strategy to re-launch himself as a “regular guy”.

And if the union was supposed to cease gossip about Tom Cruise and his personal life, in particular rumors of his homosexuality – always denied – it failed utterly.

The couple’s 2006 Italian wedding was choreographed like a massive movie premiere, with more bodyguards than guests and the ultimate goal seemingly the fantastically romantic images which were released to the media of the A list star and his pretty bride.

This came in the wake of the president of Paramount Sumner Redstone complaining that women found the actor “creepy”.

When the romance began – Katie Holmes had met Tom Cruise to discuss the possibility of appearing in Mission Impossible III – she was immediately sent on an intensive and lengthy study course about Scientology, the religion founded by sci-fi author L. Ron Hubbard in 1954, which holds that humans are descended from an exiled race of aliens called Thetans.

She was “audited” by Scientology counselors, and unlike Penelope Cruz and Nicole Kidman before her, has totally embraced the movement.

Tom Cruise proposed on June 17, 2005 on the top of the Eiffel Tower following a famously embarrassing declaration of his love on Oprah Winfrey’s show, where he jumped up on the couch yelling: “I’m in love, I’m in love, I can’t be cool, I can’t be laid back.”

Despite earlier reports that there would be a Roman Catholic ceremony of some sort – Katie Holmes was born a Catholic – it was a Scientology wedding. What’s more it was conducted by David Miscavige, Tom Cruise’s best friend who is the head of the movement.

From the outset Katie Holmes struggled to ever settle in their Los Angeles mansion. Cass Mapother is a key figure here, Tom Cruise’s sister – and she and her three sons share the house with Tom and his two adopted children Connor, 17, and Isabella, 19. But Katie Holmes never felt that the massive mansion, stuffed with bodyguards, was her home. Everyone who came through the doors was a Scientologist.

His devotion to the religion meant that he was widely regarded as “weird”. Andrew Morton unauthorized biography repeated claims that Suri was thought by some to have been conceived using the frozen sperm of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. This suggestion infuriated Tom Cruise, friends describing it as “sick, offensive and very upsetting”.

Before they met, Katie Holmes was a natural beauty, and her physical decline in the five and a half years that followed is almost shockingly obvious.

According to her 1991 divorce documents from O.J. Simpson attorney, Robert Kardashian, Kris Jenner was obsessed with the good life and with other men.

They fought over what Robert Kardashian perceived as Kris’ lavish spending and he even accused his then-wife of flaunting her new relationship with now-husband, Bruce Jenner in front of the children.

The Kardashian household was first thrown into turmoil after Robert Kardashian reportedly found Kris in the arms of her boy toy Todd Waterman, according to the documents obtained by Star Magazine.

While Kris Jenner, 56, mentioned a younger man who broke apart her marriage in her memoirs, she named him only as Ryan.

However the man in question has since stepped forward to reveal his true identity to Star.

Hollywood animator Todd Waterman, who is pictured in a photograph obtained by Radar Online, claims he had a long-running relationship with Kris Jenner while she was married to Robert Kardashian.

Todd Waterman was only 24-years-old when the alleged affair began in 1989.

The animator confessed: “It was scandalous. We dated for a year and a half.”

According to the divorce papers, an angry Robert Kardashian cancelled Kris’ credit cards, store cards and he stopped paying for her extravagant lifestyle, after discovering her alleged affair with the younger man.

But Kris fought to maintain her financial support, claiming in court papers that she deserved the lavish life she had become accustomed to leading.

“The petitioner and I shared a luxury lifestyle,” Kris said in her petition for spousal and child support.

“Nothing was too good for our family. Even our children’s clothing was purchased at exclusive boutiques,” the divorce papers revealed.

The Kardashian family matriarch’s alleged affair apparently ended in 1990, just before Kris, then 34, met her now-husband Bruce Jenner, who was also mentioned in the divorce filing.

Robert Kardashian accused Kris of flaunting her new relationship with Bruce Jenner in front of their children.

He even claimed she had let the children see her in bed with her new man.

Kris went on to accuse Robert Kardashian of emotionally abusing her with a then 9-year-old Kim forced to witness the drama.

“As a result of (Robert) and my irreconcilable differences, there is a tremendous amount of discord at the family residence,” Kris claimed in her divorce petition.

“On May 3, 1990 Kimberly found me crying after a brutal conversation with (Robert) and she became so upset I had a difficult time getting her to her carpool on time.

“Kimberly called my office twice that afternoon crying hysterically, begging me to come home,” the legal papers state.

Because of the alleged abuse, Kris demanded Robert Kardashian be banned from the family home.

However, Robert Kardashian countered with an argument that be allowed to move back into the home to protect the children from Kris’ now husband Bruce Jenner, claiming Bruce and Kris’ relationship was detrimental to the children and Robert Jr. even witnessed his still-married mother in bed with Bruce.

British comedian Russell Brand has announced today that he filed for divorce from singer Katy Perry after 14 months of marriage.

Russell Brand, 36, said in a statement today: “Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I’ll always adore her and I know we’ll remain friends.”

The British comedian was spotted in London today without his wedding ring for the second day in a row.

Russell Brand’s legal team filed court documents at the Superior Court in Los Angeles today citing ”irreconcilable differences”.

The divorce documents, which refer to Katy Perry, 27, by her give name Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, show there are “community property assets”, suggesting there may not be a pre-nuptial agreement in place.

British comedian Russell Brand has announced today that he filed for divorce from singer Katy Perry after 14 months of marriage

It does not list a date of separation.

The couple sparked rumors of trouble after celebrating Christmas 7,000 miles apart. Russell Brand spent the festive day in Cornwall while Katy Perry was with friends in Hawaii.

Katy Perry, who is yet to comment on the split, was not wearing her wedding ring either when she was photographed frolicking in the surf on December 25.

The pair’s split comes just four weeks after Russell Brand declared his relationship was going strong.

Russell Brand told Ellen DeGeneres on December 2: “I’m really happily married. I’m married to Katy. Perpetually, until death do us part was the pledge. I’m still alive.”

In November, Katy Perry told the same TV host that that she “would love to have children” with Russell Brand.

Katy Perry said: “I think that’s one of the reasons you get married, especially to the person that you marry. You think: <<That person is going to be a good partner, a good parent.>>”

Asked if she wanted a big family, Katy Perry added: “If it doesn’t hurt the first time I’ll keep popping them out.”

But there was clearly trouble brewing when they decided to spend Christmas apart, allegedly after a huge row.

A source was quoted as telling Us Weekly magazine: “They had a massive fight. She was like, <<F*** you. I’m going to do my own thing.>>”

Meanwhile the insider said that Russell Brand replied: “Fine, f*** you too.”

Katy Perry began dating Russell Brand in 2008 after meeting on the set of Get Him to the Greek.

He proposed just four months later on New Year’s Eve and they were married in October 2010.

Their lavish ceremony at a five-star resort in India included two elephants, acrobats and jugglers.

Russell Brand was once notorious in England as a hard-partying bachelor and self-confessed sex addict.

He later had a spiritual awakening and got sober after years of heroin and alcohol abuse.

The actor insisted he’d reformed his wild ways before settling down with Katy Perry.

“I think I was ready for it,” Russell Brand said.

“If you’re wild, like a wild animal, marriage won’t contain you. I think that’s how a lot of people get into trouble.”

Russell Brand will next appear in the 80’s musical film, Rock Of Ages, alongside Tom Cruise.
