Simon Cowell could be forced to reveal details of his personal finances in Lauren Silverman’s divorce battle, it has emerged today.
Simon Cowell, who is worth an estimated $350 million, was named as a co-respondent in the divorce papers filed by his pregnant lover’s estranged husband Andrew Silverman two weeks ago, and as such could be called to the witness stand in the case.
In this situation, Simon Cowell, 53, is likely to be quizzed by lawyers about his financial situation in order to determine the appropriate settlement value for Lauren Silverman.
It was also reported that Simon Cowell had attempted to reach a financial settlement with Lauren before the baby news was made public.

One friend said: “Simon is gearing up for a potentially ugly child support battle. He tried desperately to reach an agreement with Lauren before it went public but she surprised Simon and leaked the news.
“Simon was hoping to reach a financial agreement with her and then release a joint statement but Lauren is savvy and wants to be famous and when he refused her opening demands for marriage she leaked it.”
In addition to potentially having to reveal monetary details of his life on the witness stand, Simon Cowell could also be left with Andrew Silverman’s legal bill, estimated to reach around $300,000, if the real estate mogul achieves his aim of proving adultery.
Andrew Silverman had cited adultery as the basis of the marriage breakdown in the papers, in which he also labeled his estranged wife, with whom he has a seven-year-old son, as “cruel and inhuman”.
For Andrew Silverman to prove adultery, Simon Cowell would have to reveal evidence of his meetings with Lauren, such as hotel receipts and text messages.
Simon Cowell is also said to be concerned that the claims of adultery, which are as yet entirely unproven, will endanger his various multi-million dollars sponsorship deals.
According to new reports, Kim Kardashian didn’t want to go on honeymoon with Kris Humphries.
A source told RadarOnline that Kris Humphries was the one who persuaded Kim Kardashian to take the trip to the Amalfi Coast in Italy.
Kim Kardashian had allegedly been reluctant to go away after her wedding because she was supposed to move to New York for filming of her reality show.
“Kris was the one to push for the honeymoon. Kim didn’t want to go on the honeymoon because they were scheduled to move to New York City to begin filming Kourtney & Kim Take New York,” the source claimed.
“She also complained she was stressed out from planning the wedding. Kris was stunned and very hurt because it was important to him that they go away. Remember, he wasn’t playing basketball at the time because of the NBA strike, and they wouldn’t be able to take one for a year.”

The source then claimed that Kim Kardashian hired a photographer to come and snap photos of the couple while they soaked up the sun.
“Kim finally relented. Kris was absolutely dumbfounded when a photographer appeared out of nowhere and started taking pics of them by the pool,” the insider said.
“Kim happily posed, and Kris realized her camp had arranged it.”
At her divorce deposition Kim Kardashian confessed that she was against going on the holiday, which Kris Humphries is allegedly using as part of his case against the 32-year-old reality star, claiming their marriage was fraud.
On Friday Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian will attend yet another settlement conference as they continue their bitter divorce battle.
According to the source, chances “are slim to none” that the divorce will go ahead without trial, “unless Kim signs off on the annulment. Kris has come this fair in the proceedings, and isn’t going to back down now”.
On Wednesday Kim Kardashian, who is pregnant with her first child, was seen looking somber as she arrived at a Los Angeles studio alone.
Her boyfriend Kanye West meanwhile has been based in Paris since Fashion Week in February, with Kim Kardashian regularly flying over to visit him.

According to RadarOnline.com, Kris Humphries, who is asking for an annulment on the basis of fraud, refused to accept the monetary payment in order to bring their lengthy divorce battle to an end.
A source close to proceedings told the website: “After Kim filed for divorce, she offered Kris a $10 million payoff, with the agreement that he would not continue to pursue an annulment to their marriage on the grounds of fraud.”
However, Kris Humphries is said to have turned down the offer because it has “never been about money”.

A spokesperson for Kim Kardashian has denied that she made the offer.
Earlier reports suggested Kris Humphries had originally demanded a $10 million payment to grant her a divorce, but the source says this is fundamentally false: “Kris has given a sworn declaration that he has never asked Kim for a single dime.”
Because of Kris Humphries’ basketball commitments, the earliest their divorce trial can commence is the middle of June.
And this is where their bitter feud takes on a soap opera-like quality, for technically Kim Kardashian will still be married to Kris Humphries when she is due to give birth (in July) to current boyfriend, Kanye West‘s baby.
Kanye West has also been named as the adulterous figure in an alleged affair Kim Kardashian had during her relationship with NFL player Reggie Bush.
Rapper and music producer Consequence made the accusations while appearing on a radio show with his girlfriend Jen The Pen.
Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore divorce has reportedly turned nasty.
Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher separated last November after six years of marriage following the actor’s affair with 22-year-old San Diego-based administrative assistant Sara Leal.
They are now said to be locked in a bitter battle over their enormous fortune.
A source told the New York Post: “[They] are trying to negotiate a settlement out of court and out of the public eye. They still haven’t reached an agreement over money, because Ashton earned substantially more during the final years of their marriage, but he doesn’t want to pay a large settlement.”

Another source close to the pair said: “The discussion could boil over into a public court battle.”
Ashton Kutcher, 34, was previously said to be refusing to budge on the financial terms of their separation and how they should divide their assets.
A source said the actor is “so cheap” and is refusing to sign off on the paperwork so they can finally go their separate ways.
Ashton Kutcher has already moved on from the actress and is reportedly living with his new girlfriend Mila Kunis, whom he has known for 14 years as they previously starred in the hit comedy series That 70s Show together.
