TLC has ordered twelve new episodes of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, along with three specials for a third season, Variety has reported.
The new episodes of the reality series, which are being tacked on to Here Comes Honey Boo Boo Season 2, will premiere on January 1st, 2014.

“The world continues to be fascinated by the Boo Boo gang and their crazy hijinks,” TLC’s Howard Lee told the website.
“As Alana gets older, the dynamic between her parents and sisters is changing. Viewers can look forward to seeing a different side of the family as they embark on this exciting new chapter of their lives.”
Here Comes Honey Boo Boo recently drew its biggest audience yet on September 11, when 3.2 million viewers tuned in to watch June Shannon and Sugar Bear hold a commitment ceremony.

Mama June, 34, is shown in the season two finale of the show, preparing for her commitment ceremony with longtime love Sugar Bear.
The bride was keen that everything should be perfect for her big day, including her own personal grooming.
Loyal daughter Lauryn is seen attacking her mum’s “neck hairs” with a razor as the family prepare for the ceremony, which took place back in May.
“Mama still hasn’t shaved her neck hairs for the commitment ceremony,” Pumpkin helpfully points out.

“And I think I’m gonna help her with that so we can check it off the list.”
Once the shave is complete June Shannon is seen getting her make-up applied, choosing a bright pink lippie and green eyeshadow to get the blushing bride look.
The green makeup coordinated perfectly with Mama June’s unusual choice in wedding gown, a “camo-style” dress, with the entire family later joining the family matriarch in full on camouflage gear.
Honey Boo Boo, now 8, served as flower girl at the ceremony, which took place at the family’s home in Georgia.
Mama June and Sugar Bear met almost ten years ago in an online chat room following relationship break-ups. They hit it off and two years later welcomed the star of the family, Honey Boo Boo.
Honey Boo Boo shot to fame on the fly-on-the-wall pageant show Toddlers & Tiaras in 2009 and scored her own spin-off series last year.

Sugar Bear, whose real name is Mike Thompson, is meanwhile seen waiting for his bride, dressed sharply in a black shirt, bright orange vest, matching tie and boutonnière.
Their 8-year-old daughter Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson served as flower girl at the ceremony and was seen in the clip dropping petals along the aisle in a pretty pink and orange dress.
As Mama June looks out to the crowd who are waiting for her under an outdoor tent, she is asked off-camera if she is nervous.
“I ain’t that nervous, might be, when I open up the door, that I’m actually doing it,” she responds.
The commitment ceremony took place in May at the family’s home in Georgia.
The ceremony also included Honey Boo Boo’s three stepsisters, who wore pink dresses with blue ribbons around their waist and carried multi-colored bouquets of flowers.

Sugar Bear had proposed to Mama June twice before, but after rejecting his proposals she accepted when he popped the question earlier this year.

As preparations got underway for June Shannon and Sugar Bear’s long-awaited commitment ceremony – which took place on May 5 and will air later in the year – the family enjoyed a rather sweet moment.
Googling the word “wedding”, Honey Boo Boo proceeds to ask her mom and dad about their plans for a first dance.
“Have you and Sugar Bear ever danced, Mama?” 18-year-old Anna “Chickadee” Shannon queries.
“No! Sugar Bear ain’t have no rhythm,” June Shannon responds.
Not willing to take the dig, Sugar Bear banters back that Mama June doesn’t have any rhythm either, before leaping to his feet and coaxing her up for a whirl around the living room.

“How I’m going to dance with June is I’m just gonna put my arms around her and go for a ride!” Mike Thompson, 41, cheekily begins.
“Dancing is all about hand placement,” June Shannon counters as she takes the lead, which is followed by jeers from her girls, who encourage Sugar Bear to “grab her tushy”.
While the fun moment that ended in a lighthearted wrestle had three of June Shannon’s daughters in raptures, one person wasn’t laughing.
Honey Boo Boo, 7, was mortified by the display and cautioned her parents to get their act together before their big day.
“Sugar Bear and Mama better take a dance class before the commitment ceremony. I don’t wanna be embarrassed,” Alana Thompson warns.
“After the children saw me and Sugar dance, they recommended that we get professional help,” June Shannon, 34, later admits, referring to her partner’s moves as The Rabbit Dance.
