2013: Clocks go forward by one hour on March 31
Don’t forget to set your clocks forward by one hour on Sunday 31st March 2013, officially the start of British Summer Time (BTS).
The change officially takes place at 01.00 Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), so set your clocks forward before going out on Saturday night to avoid getting up late in the morning.
We may be losing an hour in bed but with extra daylight in the evenings and a long summer ahead, there’s plenty to look forward to after the clocks go forward.
The clocks go back at 2 a.m. on Sunday 27th October 2013.
The moment when the clocks go back signals the move into autumn and winter, marking the end of British Summer Time (BTS) and the return to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
