In a recent interview, Cissy Houston broke her silence on granddaughter Bobbi Kristina Brown’s condition.
“She’s the same,” Whitney Houston’s mother told New York radio station WBLS 107.5 on March 25.
Cissy Houston, 81, said: “We’ve moved her to a place for rehabilitation. And you know, still not a great deal of hope. [We’re] still praying.”
She also thanked everyone for their endless support, saying she feels “every bit of it”, and revealed that she has already made peace with the devastating situation.
“I don’t pray like that,” she said.
“I give it to God one time, because He’s able. And I cannot change a thing. I’m asking everybody, just pray to the Lord who we know CAN do something about it.”
Cissy Houston continued: “If He works a miracle, thank God. If it happens the other way, I’m alright.”
Bobbi Kristina Brown was recently moved from Emory University Hospital to a rehabilitation center in Atlanta, but still remains in a coma and on life support.
Bobbi Kristina Brown’s family has reportedly given the order to disconnect her from life support on Wednesday, February 11, on the third anniversary of Whitney Houston’s death.
Gossip website TMZ.com, citing “a source connected with Houston’s family,” said the decision was made February 8.
Some media reports have speculated that Bobbi Kristina Brown’s grandmother, Cissy Houston, had deemed the anniversary date appropriate.
However, a Houston family source told Us Weekly that Bobbi Kristina Brown will not be taken off life support on February 11.

Bobbi Kristina Brown was placed in a medically induced coma and was moved from North Fulton Hospital to Emory University Hospital on February 3.
As many family members have been filing in and out of the hospital over the last couple of days, including dad Bobby Brown and grandmother Cissy Houston, Nick Gordon has not returned to visit Bobbi Kristina in days.
Following Bobbi Kristina Brown’s hospitalization, it was also revealed via Bobby Brown’s lawyer that Whitney Houston’s daughter and Nick Gordon are not married despite announcing their supposed nuptials in January 2014.
According to new reports, Nick Gordon only visited Bobbi Kristina Brown once, when she was initially admitted to North Fulton Hospital.
Bobbi Kristina Brown, 21, has since moved to another Atlanta-area hospital for better neurological care.
“Nick hasn’t been to visit Bobbi since she moved to this hospital,” a source told Us Weekly.
“I think he’s banned from seeing her. Nick spent the entire first day with her, but hasn’t been back to see her.”
The fact of the matter is Nick Gordon is actually banned from having contact with much of the Houston family after Whitney Houston’s sister Marion Houston was granted a protective order against him last year.
Nick Gordon is not allowed to be within 200 yards of Marion Houston or her “immediate family,” which applies to seeing Bobbi Kristina Brown in the hospital since Marion is there.
His absence comes as multiple reports reveal that he and Bobbi Kristina Brown were actually never married, despite pubic and social media claims by both of them that they were.

Cissy Houston and Bobbi Kristina Brown’s relationship soured after the publication of a tell-all memoir about Whitney Houston’s life, career and personal struggles.
However, Cissy Houston, 79, has attempted to build bridges with granddaughter Bobbi Kristina Brown by penning a candid letter in which she offers her opinion on the 20-year-old’s current relationship, their shared grief and the controversial book that originally drove a wedge between them.
Cissy Houston published Remembering Whitney: My Story of Love, Loss and the Night Music Stopped in February, but intimate details about her daughter’s marriage to Bobby Brown, her long battle with cocaine addiction, a rumored gay affair and her eventual, untimely death at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in 2012, aged 48, enraged her granddaughter.
Writing on Twitter at the time, Bobbi Kristina Brown furiously dismissed her grandmother’s memoir as lies with the tweet: “I KNOW THE TRUTH.”
She added: “I haven’t read and won’t … I find it to be disrespectful to my mother and me being her daughter won’t tolerate it.”

Whitney Houston’s only child with Bobby Brown is currently engaged to long-term boyfriend Nick Gordon – something Cissy Houston was quick to address in her open letter, which has been published online.
Cissy Houston writes: “Do I want you to get married in the near future? No, I don’t. I think you’re too young and I wish you’d wait. But that’s because I’m Grandma.
“I’m supposed to worry about you. I’m supposed to wonder if Nick or ANY man is good enough for you, My Baby’s Baby.
“I’m not angry with Nick and I don’t think, nor did I ever say anything hurtful about him to anyone. I have NEVER publicly commented on your personal life and I don’t intend to.
“So in the future when you read or hear that Cissy Houston said this or said that, be confident in the knowledge that it isn’t true.”
Former gospel star Cissy Houston – who provided backing vocals for the likes of Aretha Franklin, Wilson Pickett and Elvis Presley during the sixties and seventies – also touched on her book, conceding that she understand why Bobbi Kristina Brown would feel so angry about it.
She adds: “…but I hope one day you’ll read it and understand that I just wanted to let the world see some of My Nippy – the sweet, friendly, loving little girl with the extraordinary beauty and boundless talent, who grew into the superstar and musical icon the world saw.
“I want people to know – fans and critics and ordinary people alike – Nippy was a whole person, and like all of us, she was good and bad AND she was my joy!!”
A rep speaking on behalf of Cissy Houston later confirmed there was no ulterior motive behind the 550 word letter.
“No, it’s from the heart,” they told Parade.

When Lorraine asks her: “And even though she was a superstar, you think she maybe wanted the quiet life?”

The conversation soon turned to Whitney Houston’s much-talk about marriage to Bobby Brown and whether her life would have been different if she had never had met him.
Agreeing with this sentiment, Cissy Houston replied: “I really do. She just happened to fall in love I guess with someone that really wasn’t for her. They were from two different worlds.”

When asked by Lorraine how she would like her daughter to be remembered, Cissy Houston said: “That she was one of the greatest singers that lived, and she was a wonderful person.

Whitney Houston and her mother Cissy shared an unbreakable bond, and the legendary star attributed her passion for singing to her mother
“Dearest Whitney:
The presence of God blessed our home with life, love, joy and peace. You and your brothers were the center of divine love attracting God’s richest blessings. You were a child of God. We had so much love in our home that was truly from on high.
You always gave without expecting anything in return and our love was the force that multiplied these blessings higher and higher. I never told you that when you were born the Holy Spirit told me that you would not be with me long and I thank God for the beautiful flower he allowed me to raise and cherish for 48 years.
God said it’s time Nippy; your work is done. The other day on February 11th He came for you. But not without warning. For two months now I have been depressed, crying, lonesome and sad not knowing why.
On Saturday, before I found out about your transition, my doorbell rang. I went to answer it but there was no one there. It rang again and again, no one was there so I called the concierge to tell him someone was ringing my doorbell. He checked the cameras and told me that no one was there. You promised me you were coming to spend time with me after the Grammys. I believe the spirits allowed you to come after all.
How I love you Nippy and how I miss you, your beautiful smile, your special little things you used to say to me and sometimes you’d call just to say “hi Mommie, I love you so much,” I loved you so much more.
I love you,
I’ll miss you,
Thank you for being such a wonderful daughter.
Rest my baby girl in Peace, you’re now in the arms of Jesus.
Love, Mommie”
