Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler has been arrested in California after a bar fight, police said.
Officers were called to the Corkscrew Saloon on the Furnace Creek Ranch in Death Valley National Park shortly after midnight on January 27.
Inyo County Sheriff’s Office said Terence Michael Joseph “Geezer” Butler, 65, was arrested for misdemeanor assault, public intoxication and vandalism.
Geezer Butler was released after “detox and citation”, police said.
The Californian police department said an argument escalated into “a physical confrontation”, resulting in an individual being struck and a window being broken.
Police gave Geezer Butler’s address as Beverly Hills, California.
Three original members of Black Sabbath, including Ozzy Osbourne, reformed in 2012 to headline the Download Festival.
Sharon Osbourne revealed she remained devastated after learning her husband Ozzy was abusing pills, but pledged they weren’t getting a divorce.
Sharon Osbourne, 60, opened up on The Talk about Ozzy’s admission on Facebook last week that he had been drinking and taking drugs for the past 18 months.
“I never knew he was using prescription drugs,” Sharon Osbourne said while flanked by her four female The Talk co-hosts.
“I knew he was drinking occasionally, but didn’t realize to the extent.”
Sharon Osbourne said she and Ozzy were not getting a divorce and the statement was greeted by applause.
“I am devastated right now,” the former reality star said.
“It’s a disease that not only hurts the person who has the disease, but it hurts the family. It hurts people who love you.”
Sharon Osbourne, a cancer survivor, said her family has dealt with worse and were dealing with the revelation.

“This too shall pass,” she said.
“Otherwise my husband will be taken to hospital to get my foot removed from his ass,” Sharon Osbourne added.
Ozzy Osbourne came clean in his public apology posted on his Facebook page.
“For the last year and a half I have been drinking and taking drugs,” he wrote.
“I was in a very dark place and was an a*****e to the people I love most, my family. However, I am happy to say that I am now 44 days sober.
“Just to set the record straight, Sharon and I are not divorcing. I’m just trying to be a better person.
“I would like to apologize to Sharon, my family, my friends and my band mates for my insane behavior during this period… and my fans. God Bless, Ozzy.”
The Black Sabbath rocker reportedly started his drug binge after learning that bandmate Tony Iommi was diagnosed with lymphoma 18 months ago.
Ozzy Osbourne last week claimed that he was 44 days sober after his relapse.
The rocker has frequently spoken over the years about his battle with drugs and alcohol and has often been treated in rehabilitation clinics.
Ozzy spoke out in support of Tony Iommi, 65, last year and said: “When the bombshell hit about Tony’s cancer problem, I came to England. He needs more and more support, man.
“He doesn’t have a brother, he doesn’t have a sister, it’s just him and his wife and the members of Black Sabbath.
“He’s gonna beat it. What it’s down to is determination and believe me, this guy’s got more determination than anybody I’ve ever met.”
However, according to the Daily Mirror newspaper, while Ozzy Osbourne was putting on a public face of defiance he was cracking under the pressure and the thought of losing Tony Iommi pushed him to drink and drugs.
The substance abuse quickly spiraled out of control and began to strain his relations with Sharon.

Sharon Osbourne has been spotted moving into a new mansion after reports emerged that she and husband Ozzy have been living separately for weeks.
Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne appear to be going their separate ways as Sharon was seen moving into her new Beverly Hills home earlier this month.
Sharon Osbourne, 60, watched on as removal men carried furniture into her new home just days before she was seen out without her wedding ring on.
She was seen standing barefoot and wearing black trousers with a white T-shirt emblazoned with a gold pattern.

The former X Factor judge walked down the driveway of her mansion and looked rather sullen as she cut a lonely figure.
A team of five removal men, who arrived in two trucks, were seen unloading chairs, tables and other pieces of furniture and carrying them into the property.
Keen to keep unwanted visitors at bay, Sharon Osbourne had other workers setting up the intercom system at the gate to her home.
Just a few days after her belongings were moved into the mansion Sharon Osbourne was seen without her wedding ring on while she met daughter Kelly at The Ivy in West Hollywood, California.
Ozzy Osbourne, 64, followed suit when he was seen on the CSI set in Los Angeles, also without his wedding band on.
He is due to jet out to Australia this week for a tour with his band Black Sabbath, and it looks like he will be flying there alone without his wife, who is also his manager.
A source close to the couple claimed that the fall out between them is down to financial problems and unpaid tax bill.
The source told the Daily Mirror: “The financial situation has been a real burden for them both and has put huge strain on them.
“These were big bills, and it has been very difficult for both of them.”
In 2012 Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne were hit with a $1.7 million bill after Sharon said she had lost track of the finances.
The source added: “What makes things even harder for them is that they’ve both got huge work commitments for the rest of the year which stand in the way of them spending much time together.”
With busy work schedules, neither of them have the time to sit down and discuss their issues as their hectic schedules are clashing.
